Popular Post Golem25
P L A T I N U M # 1 0 0 ! ! ! Yakuza 0 Where It All Began - Obtain all other trophies. 88,969 Owners - 3,706 Achievers for a percentage of 4.16% (average completion; 30.09%) Enjoyment; 10/10* Difficulty; 8/10 Trophies; 10/10* (actual Trophies for tiles, great names and requirements) Friday Nights spent playing this game; 10/10 There is no such thing as the perfect game - it just doesn't exist. But when an experience is as sublime - so thoroughly enjoyable, compelling, and engaging - as Yakuza 0, I have no qualms awarding it a perfect score. The same goes for its Trophy list. While no list is perfect, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio once again reached as far as I could expect a developer to go, and in doing so I've rated this collection of 55 (1P, 2G, 6S 46B) a 10 as well. And what better milestone to assign to this one than to have it be my 100th Platinum! Triple digits almost thirteen years after I got my PS3, and exactly 4,342 days since I got my first Plat. My fifth Yakuza Platinum, following 4, Dead Souls, 5, and 3. The year is 1988; at the height of Japan's real estate boom and economic bubble - which would soon pop to disastrous consequences - two young members of the country's organized crime syndicates struggle to climb the ranks amongst the glitz and glamour of Tokyo and Osaka's red light districts. When the scheming of their superiors leads to a tiny plot of land in the centre of town becoming the key to gaining control of the underworld, young and wild fan-favourites Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima each embark on parallel paths that will provide the foundations for the legendary characters they grow up to be. How do they go about doing so? Disco-dancing, break-dancing, meeting Michael Jackson Miracle Johnson, investing in restaurants, dressing up SFW prostitutes, betting on female wrestling, playing with miniature cars, and - every once in a while - beating up criminal kingpins. Yakuza 0 is the series at its best; a melodramatic and deathly serious storyline is beautifully contrasted with absolutely ridiculous minigames and humorous sidequests, many of which have come to symbolize the absolute zenith of the franchise. No sunny orphanages, rubber bullets, or a narrative stretched across five different characters; Yakuza 0's plot is kept close to the hearts of its dual protagonists with their respective side-businesses carefully woven in. A joy from start to finish, a Platinum that took 150 hours but didn't bore for even a single minute. As far as the Platinum goes, Yakuza 0 sticks quite closely to the mould of the previous games; complete the game once, complete it again on the hardest difficulty, complete any save file 100%, struggle through the awful-as-ever climax battles, and meet a few arbitrary metrics on the minigames. New to the list are missable story-related Trophies which require you to do something specific at certain points during the narrative-driven gameplay sections. From hitting a certain enemy to missing a certain QTE, finding a little secret, and - funnily enough - waiting too long to deliver something to another character. These little moments and Trophies add a further degree of charm to the list and compel players to pay close attention during the story - some might rue them being missable, but I personally think they are a lovely addition despite being blink-and-you-miss-it occurrences. The Platinum itself is not the hardest in the series, but seriously up there - I'd rate it ahead of 5, but still well short of the exceptionally cruel 3. I've argued in the past that the difficulty score for these games is severely underrated, and 0 throws quite a few roadblocks your way; some of the Climax Battles really, really, REALLY sucked but then so did a few of the minigame completion requirements. Disco especially was really tricky, and you are expected to beat some exceptionally tough Substory bosses on the dancefloor just to complicate matters. Others had trouble with the arcade games (including but not limited to Fantasy Zone), while anyone who dares start Yakuza 0 is pretty much expected to learn how to play Riichi Mahjong or remain unable to complete the way too varied challenges associated with it. Yakuza games force you to not only be a jack of all trades, but also to master everything as even the slightest inability to complete something will lock you out of the Platinum. Add in having to complete all Substories, weapons and parts challenges, restaurant items, and so on, and this was a Platinum that required not just ability, but also dedication and patience. Thankfully, when it comes to Yakuza games, I have those qualities in spades - I wouldn't be able to write this post if I didn't, and the same goes for everyone else who 100%ed this or any of the older games in the series. Having now finally completed the journey, I applaud all who got there before me and will do so for anyone else who gives this game a go. Due to being one of the best Yakuza games as well as being the first chronologically, this really is the ideal starting point for most people who are looking to get into the series. If you haven't yet, then don't delay and play Yakuza 0 today. Edited November 12, 2021 by Golem25
Popular Post MrGarland
Platinum #118 Death end re:Quest 2 (EU version) Difficulty: 3/10 Playtime: 24 hours Enjoyment: 8/10 (excluding the Pain Area) Death end re;Quest. A game that I have no idea how I discovered it. Maybe I saw it in the PS Store, maybe on the internet. Who knows. Regardless, I'm glad I did, as it turned out to be pretty good. Actually, the only thing I didn't really like about it was how complex some of the areas were. I'm talking about that forest and the second visit to the mansion. Both of them were nothing but mazes and getting through them in both playthroughs was a pain in the ass, especially that forest. Other than that, I really enjoyed the game. It has interesting characters and a soundtrack that sounds good. Nothing too mind blowing, but still. Then there's the sequel. The most common thing I've heard about this game when discussing with PSN friends is that the story is not as good as it was in the first game, which I agree with more or less. Not only that, but it's shorter and also much darker, which caught me off guard. I didn't read anything about it before I started, so that's why I'm saying that. Regardless of these facts, I still found this enjoyable, though not as much as the first game. I might as well list all the pros and cons I found while playing the game. Spoiler Pros: - Rottie. Anyone who's played the game knows what I'm talking about. Best girl in the game for a good reason. Shina was my favorite in the first one. - The soundtrack. While nothing too mind blowing, it sounds good regardless. It fits to the game's dark, unsettling world. I especially loved the battle theme (which you can listen below). - Glitch Mode. This is one of the things I liked about in the first game and it continues in the sequel. I had forgotten how fun that feature was. I'll let the following video explain what I mean. I'll also point out some of the characters, but only a few of them. - Mai: What I especially love about her is when she's going to land the final blow on the enemy, is that grin on her face. Also, the smile she makes after the attack. - Rottie: I find it amusing that no matter how large the enemy is, she's able to kick all of them in the air. The final shot on the enemy is another reason, as well as all the quotes she has. - Shina. From calm to yandere. I had forgotten how fun her transformation was. Cons: - Shadow Matter. Every once in a while, this shadowy figure appears on the map. If it catches you, it's an instant game over. I understand the concept of exploring city at night is dangerous because of the monsters, but this was completely unnecessary. I only got caught once, but that's because I was careless. However, the final area of the game is the worst, since it appears more often and many of the parts are nothing but narrow alleys, forcing you to backtrack, in order to make it disappear. Not only that, but if you're unlucky enough, two of them can spawn into the map. It only happens if you're running away from another. - Berserker. It behaves almost exactly like the Shadow Matter, but it only appears in battles and it's nowhere as troublesome. Whenever it's turn comes up, it will instantly kill any character in the radius. You also can't attack it at all, no matter what. - How cryptic the game is about secrets. The Pain Area and the Ao Oni mini-game are unlocked after clearing the game once. The game only says "once certain conditions have been met", which left me scratching my head when I read that for the first time. - Whenever the character is running, she starts panting. Even if you only run a short distance, it always happens. Unless you're jumping every now and then, it won't happen. Shina is the worst of them, since she does that more often than anyone else. - Stop ailment. Whenever this is inflicted on you, the character won't be able to act at all. Those large titans are the worst, since they will inflict that every damn time. Once I was unlucky and all three characters got inflicted, resulting an endless battle where only the enemy was able to act (though dealing a very low amount of damage) and I wasn't. Escaping from that battle was impossible, so I had to quit the game and reload my save. I only lost 10 minutes of progress, but still. - The Pain Area. I've already talked about how frustrating this part is, so I'm not going to repeat myself again. All I can say about it, it's very unfair and it involves some RNG when it comes to the damage the enemies deal on you. It also doesn't matter if you're playing on Easy, the enemies will overwhelm you at some point. I never want to go through such thing again. Well, I suppose that's that. Since the game was short, I have nothing else to say. All in all, it was good, though I still prefer the first game any time. I'll replay both of them again in the future, this time on the Switch. I'll conclude this with the usual platinum screenshot, as well as a couple of bonus images I got during my journey. Spoiler The last two ones are my favorites. That smile Rottie has on her face is so precious and that what makes her the best girl. Popular Post Buje-Boy
206: TEKKEN 7 ---------------------------------- I‘ll Get Everything Back! Acquired all trophies. Difficulty: 3/10 Fun: 9/10 PSN Rarity: 2.9% (ultra rare) PSNProfiles Rarity: 26.72% (uncommon) In-Game Time: 9 hrs, 58 mins TEKKEN 7 includes 43 trophies: 1… 3… 13… 26 Short Description: A very long time ago I used to play TEKKEN 4 and 5 mostly with my brother. I saw this game over a year ago on Sale and I thought ‚Let‘s Get It!‘. I really enjoyed it to collect all trophies, even the online trophies were pretty easy to obtain. Main Story and Character Stories are very short and easy to get. With skill and a little bit of luck you are able to get the platinum in a short amount of time. The only grindy thing is to get 50,000 Damage in Training, but with Katerina and a lot of -bashing it took me around half an hour. You should play with a character you're familiar with (in my case it was Marshall Law) to rank up to Warrior in Treasure Mode. If you didn't win three special matches in TM during that, you can play with another characters with a lower rank to high up your chances. I highly recommend this game.
Popular Post slender_adrian
- Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories - #77 Difficulty: 5/10 Enjoyment: 5/10 Rarity: 4.83% Ultra Rare Time: 119 Hours "This is hardly the end..." Man this game, I have mixed feeling with this one, first I liked a ton the story but I hate the combat system, is not hard to get used to it, but for me it wasn't the type of combat system that made me try new stuff, I went with what worked the better and the faster because there are a ton of battles in this game, you don't have to do all but still doing battles may take a lot of time, depending on what deck you have you can do them very quick or not. That's the only thing I didn't like about this game and the soundtrack, I liked a lot the room creation mechanic it was pretty cool. The whole story of this game is amazing, it has such an amazing characters, Larxene (I love her), Marluxia, and Zexion where my favorite ones. Sora's story was pretty good but I liked more Riku's, personally I recommend playing this game, especially if you liked KH. Now getting the platinum for this game is a another story, I thought that getting the plat in KH1 was boring but getting the plat for KHreCOM felt like ages, probably what took me more time was leveling Riku ( Level Master Riku), for Sora it didn't took to long since doing the rest of his trophies will get you close to level 99, I think I grinded for 30 levels for Sora, but how Sora's gameplay is it went way faster. Getting all the cards ( Card Master Sora) wasn't that bad, after beating the game I had about 70% of them, most of the ones I needed where in chests, but that didn't save me grinding for the enemy cards I still needed and of course RNG did an amazing job lol. Overall the way this game works is what makes this a boring and tedious nightmare. After doing all that grinding I still needed to do 4 more playthroughs, 2 for Sora and 2 for Riku, Sora's playthroughs went pretty smooth, I did every battle I came across in all rooms for all worlds, except for the last level, at that point I didn't bother with that, so beating proud was pretty easy, almost got a deathless run but some green flame got me, despite that I got most of the bosses first try, including the last boss. For Riku it was pretty much the same, I did every battle in the first set of worlds and I did 2 of the second set, this to get enough cards to create rooms so I could skip all the enemy battles for the remaining levels and went only for the bosses, since for Riku you always have what you need to beat bosses there's no point in fighting after certain level. My final time for Sora on Proud is 12:04, 2 hours faster than standard, for Riku 5:14, 1 hour faster than standard, so if you can beat Standard you can do Proud, I didn't see to much difference. My advice, don't bother with this.

Popular Post Steven-Spiegel
3D Dot Game Heroes (EU) Rarity: 3,19% Difficulty: 6.5/10 Fun: 7.5/10 Time: 66 hours Great old PS3 gem, with some problems but overall really enjoyable. My first walktrough was normal, with 40h time (all events, booked monsters and shit, even the dash races done with the infamous EU times 4 hours the first and 2 the second... It took me almost all the game realise that pierce was a must on the swords...), but I still need a lot of small blocks so I started a From mode that in 14 hours I got everything, this time the races we're done in 15m and 30 min each one. The small blocks farming in the place with the 6 rocks near the block king was faster than I though and more pleasent than do Block defense. Final Spelunker mode finished in 12 hours (several AFK to prevent finishing under 10h and have to wait later).
Popular Post Yuuria_
#31 HADES I've been a massive Supergiant Games fan for years now, my favorite game of theirs being Transistor, so I was eagerly awaiting the Console release of Hades. It was worth the wait! I'll admit that I haven't really played any other Rogue-like but I was very pleasantly surprised at the amount of characters and story in the game. Each and every run, regardless of outcome, moved the story forward in some form, somewhat negating the feeling of frustration that follows close but unsuccessful attempts. The gameplay is fun and has more variety that I had expected. All of the characters you encounter and get to know are interesting, charming and have something of value to offer. Going in I was worried about the RNG aspect of the game, fearing that my runs might make or break depending on blind luck, but there are various systems implemented to help alleviate that potential issue and even though that doesn't solve the problem entirely it sure helps strike a good balance. Something that I didn't really give much thought while playing but realized later, looking back after having achieved the Platinum, is that there's pretty much no useless item in the game. Everything serves a purpose and there's enough variety here to accomodate for all kinds of different players and playstyles My favorite weapon is the Bow with the aspect of Chiron My 3 favorite characters from the cast are: Skelly, Dionysus and Artemis. It's definitely hard to choose just 3 because you could very easily make a case for all of them so do let me know who your favorites are! TIME TO PLATINUM: 60 Hours I don't know how much variance there can be in the amount of time required to platinum Hades. There are a couple of achievements that have hidden prerequisites but said prerequisites are hard to miss. I did, however, manage to miss a mandatory trigger for one of passages of the 'Infernal Arms' trophy due to me mostly playing with the Bow and that ended up adding around 4 to 5 hours to my time, especially since what I needed was one of the very few things that you have no way of influencing (Mini-Boss Encounters). I think the average time for most players would fall between 50 and 60 hours. DIFFICULTY: 2/10 Like I said previously, you can get away with a very low clear rate and still achieve the platinum which makes the difficulty drop quite significantly. The bulk of the challange comes from high Heat* runs and those aren't tied to trophies. The highest mandatory Heat* clear is 12 which might be a problem for some players but it's nothing that can't be conquered with a bit of patience. *Heat is a system that allows you to select certain gameplay modifiers to make the experience tougher FUN FACTOR: 10/10 The gameplay and the characters are enough in and of themselves to keep you going until the end but Hades also manages to strike this perfect balance between short term goals and long terms objectives and it made it so that I always ended up playing a bit more than I had planned. There were so many times I felt as though I wanted to switch games for a bit but I'd always feel compelled to do 'Just one more room' and would end up completing a full run or three. Highly recommended! Enjoy! Edited October 6, 2021 by Yuuria_ Corrections, what’s new
Popular Post Luckman
#366 - Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance (PS4) Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 6/10 My thought in this game was over the place you get to play solo or coop but never do solo ever. It is very important to have more players in this game. Luckily, I have people that help me in this game. The enemies in this game make no sense because you get hit when you are pretty far away from your enemy and you get hit when the enemy wasn't even attacking. I always have to play the highest difficulty to get most of the XP. Overall, Co-op is very mandatory even after the "Striketeam of the Hall" and "Companions of the Hall" trophy. Popular Post Deadly_Ha_Ha
#51 - Armored Core Verdict Day Difficulty - 8/10 Enjoyment - 7/10 @CelestialRequiem it's happening. So this was my first game after I wrapped up the first round of 50 plats on this account. I knew this was going to be the project from some time before then, but I wasn't entirely prepared for it when I started it with CelestialRequiem and @hore like a month ago. Listen to me about this game... you really have to get in there; there's no other way to win. I got my happy ass carried for a good amount of the experience but ultimately it's between you and FromSoftware as to whether you succeed or eat it. I'll be coauthoring a guide for this game now that I'm done with the plat, as a lot of information is available but difficult to compile, and very little of it is on this website (in the form of no guide). I think as far as platinum trophies go, this was the most difficult one I've done thus far between either account. The reason I say that is because the game really cannot be taken in a casual way - from start to finish you have to learn a lot and improve a lot. There are online trophies and trophies made easier by having a partner, but who knows how long the servers will remain so I'd advise anyone interested that they reach out to people and see if you can get going on this sooner rather than later. The game couldn't escape some tedium with the trophies or awkward design choices on From's side, but it cannot be argued that the game is beyond reproach. If you want to play a real game, here's a good one to go with. It's really a shame that this is currently the only AC game you can platinum because I'd do more if I could. I'm sure I'll end up saying more in my checklist thread but I am so happy to have done this game. It's the start of more intense projects on my account, but the nice thing about renewing your baseline for what you can accomplish is that anything more casual than it is now all the easier and anything harder is all the more achievable. It also now sits as the only game in my rarest trophies which is funny to me since Chroma Squad had been on that list for over three years and it's finally gone.

Popular Post AJ_Radio
Platinum #288: Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition Difficulty: 6/10 Excitement Rating: 8/10 Estimated Time to Platinum: 25+ Hours Hardest Trophy: Never Give Up ( Survive to Round 10 ) Had a bit of fun with this one. While not my favorite Housemarque game, Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition is still a solid title, and as far as I'm concerned, Housemarque knows how important it is to make a game of quality. Dead Nation is an old game, dating back to 2010 on the PS3 and later getting ported to Vita and eventually PS4 years later. The PS4 version contains the DLC you had to pay for separately on the PS3 and Vita versions of the game, which is nice but that also means you have to do the DLC content if you want to earn the platinum. This is a top down shooter with a focus on the undead, as the name might indicate. I definitely enjoyed my time with this. It never gets old to throw a chunk of dynamite at a massive horde of zombies, then see them all get blown to bits and watch their body parts hit the ground. In addition to regular zombies, there are also special infected which aren't as common, but pose a dangerous threat. Cutters are particularly dangerous, as their arms are practically swords and they are a one hit death to you on Morbid difficulty. Runners can also be dangerous and can easily overwhelm you if you're not careful. There are many weapons in your arsenal, but a majority of them can't be bought until later levels. Upgrading your weapons and finding armor pieces found in chests become of utmost importance, especially on the higher difficulties in the later levels. The DLC is fairly good, but surviving to Round 10 requires a bit of preparation and some skill, which garners this a 6 out of 10 in the difficulty scale in my opinion. I can definitely say Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition is completely doable solo, you just need a second controller in hand. None of the co-op trophies are hard, as a matter of fact you can easily play the co-op playthrough by just having your partner killed and playing the game like you normally would in single player, as they get revived upon reaching a checkpoint. Nothing too difficult or time consuming, but you will have to do multiple playthroughs as well as find a bunch of collectibles, a number of which are well hidden. This is definitely a game I recommend. If you enjoy blowing zombies to bits and are looking for a more arcade style, you can't go wrong with Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition.

Popular Post Redgrave
#222: True Gal*Gun Master - Gal*Gun Double Peace It's been a while since I had played a rail shooter with the last one probably being Time Crisis 3 or 4 many years ago at an arcade. So in order to fill that void I played Time Crisis but with anime girls. The premise is an angel accidentally causes your character to become irresistibly attractive to every girl in their school which makes their only defense against them is a gun that doesn't actually shoot them but rather causes them to feel enough pleasure to faint on the spot. You are then given different routes for different girls to go for. Two of them being childhood friends, two being the angel and a demon girl, and the third being able to wind up with any of the girls that you shoot at. There is also a fourth one where you can go with the shop girl if you donate to her band, but I don't think I would consider that a proper route since all you have to do for it is to donate enough of the currency for it. The gameplay is pretty simple since you just aim and shoot at the girls trying to show their affection to you and you can also make something of an explosion by using Doki Doki mode which you cause by filling their doki meter by poking their weak spots repeatedly. My suspension of disbelief is completely shattered however by the fact that not only is the character trying to get away from all the girls but them kissing him apparently hurts him. Otherwise there isn't much else to explain other than there are some boss fights and touchpad segments in-between. Trophy-wise nothing is really difficult to do although it can be a bit confusing on what you need to do for certain things. I think once I started the game off after the first route I understood more what to do. The two things that ultimately stuck out to me were having to get a perfect score on the touchpad segments which really isn't so bad but since it was a Vita game originally I assume the touchpad segments were better on Vita since there was one segment in particular I had to retry a couple of times because of how finnicky it felt. The other thing was having to get all the girls' profiles to at least Silver. It wasn't really hard, just tedious since it means having to replay levels multiple times just to Doki Doki the girls you need in both their gym uniforms and swimsuits. This is remedied mostly by the Score Attack mode since it acts as a chapter select however a few of the girls you won't be able to get in Score Attack because you won't be able to build up a Doki Doki meter in time. Otherwise there wasn't anything that was frustrating to do. In the end it's a simple but fun game, just a bit tedious in terms of that one trophy but I would recommend it if you wanted a rail shooter with anime girls in it. Since I mentioned Time Crisis I think it worth mentioning that there is no Wild Dog boss fight at any point, which is very unfortunate as I feel like every rail shooter should be required to have Wild Dog show up at some point and try and kidnap whichever girl you are going for on your route. ?
