Popular Post Viper
#250 X-Men Origins: Wolverine Platinum Milestone Platinum and Halloween Plat! So after we got the announcement of Insomniac making a Wolverine game I had realized I forgot all about this game over the years, I had never played it for some reason. Turns out it's incredibly rare, it was delisted from the PS Store and trying to find it on disc online is usually met with overpriced copies. But I found this as the ONLY listing on eBay at the time selling it for a decent price...I talked them down to $24 (considering everyone else was $75-$100+)...but then the Post Office never moved it. It showed the seller had dropped it off...and then nothing. After nearly a month, the seller giving me a refund, and putting in a lost package claim. I had pretty much given up ever playing this...other copies cost too much and it just wasn't worth it, but then it finally arrived...just in time for a milestone Platinum! And since the seller already gave me a refund weeks prior, I got the game for free! I had also not played my PS3 since last year...so figured a PS3 game as a Milestone was also fitting. The game...it feels very much like a quintessential 7th gen game. Like anyone who spent plenty of time gaming in that area would know what I mean if they play this now. But, man was it a lot of fun! And WAYYYYYYY better than that pile of garbage movie it's based on. This game is fast paced, bloody, gory, brutal, limbs flying everywhere...everything you wanted out of Wolverine in the movies, this game delivered. Some of the voiced lines are a little cringe by todays standards, you can tell Hugh Jackman wasn't used to video game voice acting so his delivery is a bit stiff and one note. Overall the game was pretty easy though, the only thing that gave me any trouble was the final battle with wannabe Deadpool/Weapon XI. Talk about the cheapest damn boss fight I've had to put up with in a very long time. The first two stages of the fight are simple enough, but stage 3 he starts blowing up the Silo you're on and he can teleport away whenever he wants and hit you with his bullshit eye lasers, that heal him for every hit...so you tend to do a bunch of damage at some point, then he spend 10 minutes teleporting away and hitting you with lasers you can't get away from and fully healing himself...so it prolongs the fight, and you most likely fall off the Silo at some point while you're chasing him....and since you have to play the game once to unlock Hard Difficulty then do it again on Hard, you have to go through this garbage twice! The third stage of the fights basically boils down to you getting lucky enough for his AI to just...stop teleporting away and you guys just get to fight. Also you get to unlock 3 different costumes for him. His Black and Grey X-Force outfit, His Brown/Yellow Legendary and his 90's Yellow/Blue. I mostly wore that 90's outfit...crazy to see Hugh Jackman in it. Getting to see what we never got in the movies. Awesome game though. I wish I played it much sooner. Now I know the bar Insomniac has to meet in terms of brutality. We can't be having another Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order situation here where the lightsaber can't dismember human enemies (great game, but that was a huge nitpick for a lot of people). Popular Post sk_lp_him
#106 - Twin Mirror The well-examined life Unlock all trophies in Twin Mirror Probably the weakest Dontnod game. Short, choices don't matter much, unskippable dialog and cutscenes. If there is a solid 5 out of 10 it's this game. At least it's easy platinum.

Popular Post OobiGod
Platinum #28 Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl (PS4 List) Leave Everything to Me! Collect all the trophies. I did the trophy list again LMFAO. Shoutout to the person I boosted 50 quick play matches with. Pretty sure no one plays this online anymore so that's fun. It is still a relatively fun game I suppose. It runs kind of badly on this console though. Platinum #29 Goat Simulator (PS4 List) All The Goat! Unlock all the Goat Trophies! I was bored one day and randomly decided to check what I had through PS Plus and went "wait that's an easy trophy list. Let me do it". And so I finished the trophy list in a few hours honestly only struggling with the Flappy Goat trophy which probably took 30 minutes. The game honestly isn't even that fun? I can't imagine spending the money for the DLC just to get 100% completion on the trophy list. I am glad it was free. Platinum #30 Immortals Fenyx Rising (PS5 List) The End Obtain every Trophy. I honestly thought this game was going to be mediocre being a Ubisoft open world game but instead I found myself really enjoying it. Probably due to a combination of the art style and being pretty similar to Breath of the Wild. I definitely did not think I would get the platinum trophy but I had to get my 20 dollar's worth out of this game and put in 51 hours. Quite solid for a game I had low expectations for. It is my one yearly open world game and that satisfies me. No idea what platinum I will get next.
Popular Post madbuk
#436 - The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Game of the Year Edition I started playing this years ago, but it failed to capture my interest and I quickly bounced off it to play other games. Over the years I've tried coming back to it multiple times, even tried buying the books to see if they'd help me get into it, but... I just couldn't tbh. Even now that I'm done (with the base game), nothing really stood out to me here. A bit of a disclaimer that fantasy often has a hard job engaging me - there are absolutely exceptions to that rule, but I never managed to finish the first Game of Thrones book for example. I never felt any attachment or urgency to the tasks I was being given in the story, and I think a large part of that is due to this being my first Witcher experience, so I knew none of the characters beforehand. But hey, Witcher 1 and 2 aren't on PS, so.. Gameplay wise, I definitely have some issues with it - weapon/armor durability is awful in basically any game that features it, and this is no exception. Inventory limits are always annoying to manage, and this is no exception (though it is more forgiving than some games at least), and simply traversing around the world feels so... cumbersome? After playing the newer Assassin's Creed games that clearly took inspiration from this, getting from A to B just felt like a slog and I never bothered exploring just because of how out of your way you have to go to do so. Can only fast travel at specific sign posts, die from tiny drops, can't climb places.. It's not a big deal, but it's definitely a little annoying. The missables felt a bit excessive in this too and resulted in me heavily using a guide just to make sure I didn't ruin an entire playthrough since this is such a lengthy game, which isn't necessarily a bad thing because I love the Trails series, which is full of missables, but this isn't as linear as those games so idk, it just wasn't as enjoyable following a guide for this as it was for Trails. Not a fault with the game I suppose, just me for using a guide. I am going to be playing the DLCs as well for completion, hopefully they can change my opinion. I don't think this is a bad game at all, it's actually quite impressive in terms of the sheer scope of it and how choices do actually matter, reminds me of Dragon Age in that regard. It was very pretty too. It just wasn't all it was hyped up to be by so many people imo.

Popular Post Redgrave
#228: Acquire All Trophies - Bayonetta (PS4) I suppose this could count as a Halloween Platinum since you play as a Witch ? But I played the original on PS3 years ago and figured I would stack it since I bought the bundle that came with this and Vanquish. It's as good as I remember it was and I think I gained a bit of a soft spot for it over the years. It's pretty fun and the combat has something of a learning curve but it's pretty satisfying once you get the hang of it. The soundtrack is pretty good and memorable too, with it having a version of Fly Me To the Moon that I think is my favorite rendition of it outside of the original. And since it's a PlatinumGames title the cutscenes and the boss fights are quite over the top and it's funny seeing how some of them escalate from fighting on some arena to suddenly switching between flying obstacles among other crazy stuff. ? As far as the trophies go it's pretty tame for a PlatinumGames title especially compared to Vanquish or Revengeance. When I first played I remember the Alfheim Portal challenges being pretty frustrating but I handled them better this time probably because I knew what to expect and the game lets you get away with using the Climax Bracelet for them. I think the only challenges I had to re-do a couple times were the ones where you have to kill enemies with Torture Attacks but even then that was mainly just a matter of finding a good way to build your magic meter. Other than that it doesn't ask for a Pure Platinum Playthrough on the hardest difficulty or anything like that. I also feel like I remember the Halo grind taking way longer to do but I don't know if I knew of the other way to get Halos and did it the long way for whatever reason or maybe it just wasn't that long to begin with. In the end I wound up getting the Platinum for the PS4 version a couple days faster than the PS3 version. I definitely feel like playing on PS4 made skipping some sections faster because of the load times since on PS4 it loads pretty quickly which means you don't really get to do the training room thing that's in the loading screens in-between levels. But it also meant that you could skip cutscenes faster since I remember on PS3 you had to wait a moment before getting the option to skip cutscenes. But yeah overall a good game that I think I will continue to have a soft spot for. I can't wait for the sequel to-- oh wait...

Popular Post ShonenCat
Platinum #91 - Samurai Shodown: NeoGeo Collection Difficulty Rating 4/10 Enjoyment Rating 9/10 Uncommon - 29.51% Fastest Achievers - #21 A small but substantial collection of arcade games from a fighting series I am really fond of. It contains Samurai Shodown 1, 2, 3, 4 and three different versions of 5 ? The difficulty in these games are notorious for being downright unforgiving. Luckily, this collection has a handy save state feature.. so knocking out any of the trophies shouldn’t be much trouble. Just keep in mind you will still have to deal with the AI along the way. Even on the lowest setting it can still tear you to shreds. Sooo, there isn’t much else to say ? There is an art gallery, sound test and online play. Standard stuff, yet most welcomed. I am glad SNK decided to make this collection a reality, and it looks rather good right next to the Street Fighter Anniversary Collection. Buying physically for $30-$40 isn’t too bad, you could do worse. Try buying all those NeoGeo cartridges separately and see what the price comes to then Edited November 2, 2021 by ShonenCat
Popular Post Golem25
Yakuza Kiwami KIWAMI - Obtained all trophies. 128,250 Owners - 3,956 Achievers for a percentage of 3.08% (average completion; 22.79%) Enjoyment; 10/10* Difficulty; 8/10 Trophies; 10/10* (actual Trophies for tiles, great names and requirements) Majima's in a trashcan; 10/10 Who'd have thunk I'd be back this quick with another Yakuza Platinum, eh? Just under a month since Platting Yakuza 0, I'm proud to announce I've added Yakuza Kiwami's full list to my Trophy collection, conquering one of the harder (but also shorter) titles in the series. Any veteran of the series will tell you that 3 is by far the hardest, with 5, 0, and Kiwami usually taking second place. Now, I've all of them under my belt and I couldn't be happier. Kazuma Kiryu, a young officer serving an organized crime syndicate in Tokyo, is sent to jail in 1995 for a crime he didn't commit. While not the most original premise, Kiryu's ten year stint in jail sets the stage for a series that has included 8 numbered entries (of which seven focus on him), a zombie spin-off, two spin-off set in centuries past, two PSP brawlers (not starring Kiryu), and the Judgment series. Not bad for a guy who returns to the Tokyo district of Kamurocho in 2005 to find that his best friend and sworn brother has climbed the ranks of the Yakuza but has completely changed his personality in the process. A young girl, a missing mother, and 10 billion stolen Yen (some 91.5 million Dollars accounting for inflation and conversion) complete the events that set in motion a plot to change Japan's underworld for good. But wait, there's more! This is Yakuza, so the melodramatic story is only a fraction of the fun you can have. The real-life district of Kabukicho is fictionalized and recreated in the game as Kamurocho for your sandbox pleasures, with a myriad of activities to partake in. Series staples like bowling, darts, and pool? We got you, fam. Racing miniature cars? That's back from Kiwami? An arcade game for kids involving naked women pretending to be insects? Of course that's in there! (WARNING: don't open that link in front of family, friends, or your boss). Play Sexy Mahjong? Kiwami's sorta got it covered. Want to play some bullshit Climax Battles? Yes, unfortunately those are present as well - but thankfully for the last time in the Yakuza series going by release order. And, of course, Kiwami is known for letting you fight fan-favourite Goro Majima in a plethora of ridiculous circumstances as he tests Kiryu's resolve. Just a shame you can't play as the Mad Dog himself any more. The journey to the Platinum was as enjoyable as ever, with a wonderfully diverse set of Trophies inviting you to make the most of your 80 or so hours in the game. Complete the story, replay it on the hardest difficulty, play all minigames and satisfy their sometimes cruel requirements, finish all Substories (Yakuza's name for sidequests), do the Climax Battles, indulge a young child by gambling in the local casino (yes, really), collect all the locker keys strewn about town and find most of the weapons and equipment in the game, and do more on top of it all for good measure. You can't say the developers go easy on you! The trickiest parts of Kiwami are - ranked from hardest to comparatively easiest - the Climax Battles, Chapter 9 on Legend (if you played the game, you'll know what I mean), some of the bullshit Haruka has you do for her requests, and finally, the Mahjong completion metric. That last one's easier than it was in 0 because cheat items return to get you your Haneman and Full Straight. So, difficulty aside Kiwami is a boatload of fun on its own, but how does it rank compared to the other games? It is a relatively faithful remake of the original game that was released all the way back in 2005, and while it tackes on a lot of new stuff (Majima Everywhere system, expanded Nishikiyama backstory which was really needed, more minigames, etc.) you can tell that some of the rough edges from back then have remained. For one, the cutscenes hang together rather badly - they are very short and disjointed compared to the later games. Some of the game design is really dated as well - sequences following a trail of blood and hunting down gangs are blatant padding of the story, more so than anything that later games have you do (which themselves are guilty of padding, but dressed it up much better). For those reasons, and because Yakuza 0 exists, I honestly think this isn't the best starting point for newcomers to the series. But, for veterans, it is 100% worth playing just to experience the series' beginnings without having to go through the now extremely dated original game. I normally never award a score of 10 in my evaluation other than the joke line, but Kiwami and the other Yakuza games are so close to perfect, that I can never help myself not awarding it. Yes, even with the varying levels of quality between one another - any Yakuza game is worth playing and close enough to perfection Same goes for the Trophies, with clever names and beautiful tiles that mimick actual trophies as you would have them on a shelf - such a shame this was the last game in the series to feature this style, barring the remasters of 3/4/5. If you've never played a Yakuza game and got to the end of this post, do yourself a favour and buy Yakuza 0. You won't be disappointed. Popular Post Deluziion90
#453 - Lost Judgment Master DetectiveObtained all other trophies. Copied from status update; 1 week and 6 days of non stop playing. I think my life pretty much was playing this game. Avoiding a good night of sleep and just keep playing and playing. It's been a while I've been so invested in a game that pretty much took over my real life. It's not very healthy but damn this game was amazing in every aspect. I think the best way is to make some paragraphs for each sector as I could write a book about this game by now. Story: The story was the biggest 10/10 if I should give it a rating. It feels like I've been playing/watching an AAA series from netflix/prime/HBO or any of those streaming platforms. Every detail is being pointed out and every character has amazing development. Even in the end everything felt connected and nothing was missing. I don't want to talk a whole page what the game is about it's something you should experience yourself, but believe me if you like it as much as I do you'll see Yagami(main character) in your sleep . Graphics: The city looked absolutely beautiful. The people walking around were sometimes stupid bots and walking into each other but man.. the world really felt alive, it was nothing compared to open world games that feel empty and hollow. My first hours playing this game I was just looking around when the night hit and all those flashing shops and arcades lighted the city. Just beautiful in every way. Side characters sometimes felt a little bit off but the main story cutscenes where just amazing. 9/10! Combat: There's 3 stances, Crane, Snake and Tiger all functioning very well in combat and they all felt really great to try and mix and match some crazy combo's. Like other Yakuza game it's also funny to just pick up random stuff like food signs or even bicycles to smack around enemies. My favorite in the end was the Crane stance which is AOE focused, but it also has some really broken skills end game. Overall just fun and not too difficult. Sound: Can I rate this 20/10? The soundtracks are just fucking awesome! I've even been pumping some songs in my car when going to work. My favorite song would have to be: When this starts pumping when you're fighting a bunch of those punks you're feeling alive in a game lol! Minigames: Everything was enjoyable and nothing was too difficulty. I even managed to learn the basics of Mahjong along the way and I actually enjoyed it in the end.. goddamnit Legend Difficulty NG+ trophy: Only waste of time for getting the platinum. I've started around 10:00pm and just finished it around 02:30AM. Just spamming cutscenes and rushing through it. Kinda pointless and not difficult tbh. Last words: Overall rating a big 10/10 and one of the if not best games I've played this year, and I've played pretty much all the AAA games PS5 released this year. Shoutout again to @PooPooBlast for helping me out when I needed any tips or help. and now it's time to cry as I have to say goodbye to this wonderful game.

JIMMOTHYY
The Darkest Dungeon The Iron Crown Achievers: 931 (2.16% Ultra Rare) Difficulty: 7/10 Rating: 10/10 Darkest Dungeon was the RPG I needed to care about the genre again. Too often it feels like you are making minor decisions in turn-based combat with little consequences. I was engaged in every single dungeon during my Stygian run and felt like I was making meaningful choices between carrying supplies or loot. I do wish the game had some extra flare to it.. the PC Version has a plethora of mods with awesome skins. I'm hanging my hat for now and may go after the DLC's when I get the craving for another run. Wattam All Done Achievers: 423 (19.05% Rare) Difficulty: 2/10 Rating: 8/10 I had this game "completed" for atleast a year and decided to re-visit it after finishing Darkest Dungeon. I was chugging through and realized the Snowman was missing... afraid I would have to replay the whole game again. Thankfully, my PS5 Save still had the snowman alive, not to mention the PS5 Frame Rate is MUCH better and a lot less frustrating. RIP to anyone who has to replay the whole game again because their Snowman melted.

Popular Post Darghel
#119 Overwatch Platinum Trophy (Guess the game!) Difficulty: A lot of idiotic and nonsensical trophies, but other than that it's fun (Have used boosted sessions) Time to Complete: about 3 months Recommended: Yes but not sure if now it's a good moment Total score: 7 Ah, I remember waiting for Overwatch back when it was announced back in 2014: I was still a pretty big fan of TF2 but after watching the trailer I was hyped about it! And the later trailers showcasing the abilities and the heroes made me hyped even more! Just saying this so that you know that I've been playing this game since its release in 2016 and I've seen all the changes, from Mercy's Mass Ress nerf to the "new" hero Cassidy (RIP). With that said, the reason why I wanted to play this game on ps4, was mostly because I wanted to try something different. Just like how I played Paladins on both, I also did with Overwatch and the different experience was very fun. Suddenly getting used to a controller made it all new, I had to re-learn my heroes and how a controller worked. It was almost like I was playing back in 2016! However, I never really bothered with achievements on pc (I have some, but not all) and I've got friends who told me how painful this game was. And they're right: this game's trophies are painful, but not for the right reasons. A lot of them are doable (killing X enemies with ultimates is fair) but a lot of them aren't: 3 solo kills without reloading, 4 kills in 6 seconds with Discord, killing 3 people with Scatter Arrow (now Storm Arrow), or attaching 4 bombs without dying once. Those are nasty because it's all RNG in the end, and RNG isn't always a reliable way to do trophies, because it may take forever or never happen. And that's why I eventually tried to look for a boosting session: I was tired to try my luck with these trophies because it didn't require skill, it was mostly luck. Kill 4 enemies with Zenyatta is easy, but doing it in 6 is not. Killing 3 enemies without reloading isn't hard, but not when you're the targeted hero from the enemy (and Reaper isn't exactly a hero you want to ignore!), and many more. Granted I still managed to achieve a good 50-60% on my own by using heroes I knew (Winston, Reinhardt, Roadhog, Soldier, Pharah, Mercy to name a few) but I had no idea how long it would take to do the other ones. And considering how the game's population seems to be going downhill due to all the fiasco going on right now, I was more and more inclined to get this game out as soon as I could before anything happened. With that said, the game IS fun though, just not on long sessions. I never understood why people were so harsh on it, quitting the game because there wasn't much else to do, constantly saying they had nothing to do and whatnot. I played tf2 since 2009 and took several breaks because early tf2 had no content either (it had what, 6 maps and 3 game modes?), but not many seemed bothered back then as long as the game was fun. Sure now TF2 has a lot of content but even then I still took several breaks. I dunno but just like TF2, I would take occasional breaks from OW because I always thought it was one of those games where you play a couple of hours per match then move on for the day. The main difference is that OW has shorter matches, but that's about it. And yes I paid TF2 60 euros back then (It was the Orange Box) so can't even say it was free! Still, OW was actually more fun at the beginning: you could choose any hero without limits, but after the introductions of one hero per team and role queues it kinda changed for the..." meh"? Granted I love the role queue because I was tired to be forced to play a tank or a healer when nobody else wanted (same thing with TF2 where nobody wants to play medic), but other than that I miss old OW. And of course, the lack of player-made content like TF2 was a big deal breaker...but to be fair I would've liked maps more than just modes, which was what I loved the most about TF2 (Good old Mario Kart). I barely played special modes in tf2 myself, but the maps were amazing. Maybe OW would've benefited a lot more from custom-made maps like TF2 did, other than having custom modes. What I wanna say is the game is fun, but nothing special. Do I prefer tf2? Yeah, I do, but TF2 barely gets updates (and when OW came they tried to put in competitive mode and completely screwed the matchmaking and everything, making me stop playing for years!) and I've played enough TF2 that I wanted to stay in OW. But now I'm probably also done with OW and probably won't move forward with OW2. I'll probably look for something else in the future. TL;DR good game, not so good trophy list, if you can get a boost or pray RNGesus for luck in your matches. I'll still play the game but my time with it is getting to an end. And the game probably too someday. Edited November 2, 2021 by Darghel
