Popular Post Gommes_
#141 Tales of Arise Arisen This one sparked my interest, since I liked Tales of Xillia and because this game looks awesome. The critics and fans were also praising it so I expected a fantastic JRPG. Well, it turned out that it was only okay. Graphic wise it is actually amazing once the world opens up and you are greeted with fantastic sceneries! Every location looks different and makes you stop once in a while to embrace that atmosphere. The music of this game is great as well. The intro song kicks ass, the different themes are very good and boy, when that intro song gets replaced with another one because you beat the game you are in for a treat! However, the rest of the game is rather mediocre. The story is kinda good until you reach the endgame. Then it’s only gibberish after gibberish in endless cutscenes which also stand for the weakest aspect of the game. Its pacing. The last hours before the final boss fight are actually horrible! Cutscene after cutscene after cutscene. And after a cutscene with a lot of gibberish you can actually walk two steps before - surprise, surprise another cutscene will play. Then you have to talk to, let's say 3 people before the story progresses, so that's another sort of cutscene. After that there is another one summarizing what you just found out. Then another one triggers because of what happened, before you are allowed to move again in order to reach another room and that whole cycle repeats! Up until this point you also haven’t done anything but fighting. I don’t remember it being so repetitive in Tales of Xillia. The fighting itself is fun but doing it over and over again with no different moves feels really monotonous. After you are exposed to everything the fighting mechanics have to offer nothing else gets added. That means that you will see the same animations for like 30 hours. This takes away the fun from the battles, especially since you have nothing else to do. There is no exploring, side quests lead to more fighting and cities are rather boring, which is a shame regarding the art design. The party is also not the best. I had the feeling that there was no chemistry between the characters and some developments felt forced, especially when looking at the main protagonists. The postgame turned things to the better, since being overpowered, looking for the best weapons and crafting accessories was fun. However, this is not enough to call this game a masterpiece. I am fully convinced that most critics and players didn’t even finish this game before they gave it these high scores. The forgettable story, the dull party and the horrible pacing left a bad taste in my mouth and these characteristics should be the best thing a story driven game has to offer. Besides the aforementioned positive aspects Tales of Arise is just a mediocre game, cause it fails when it comes to the most important aspects of a JRPG. Popular Post madbuk
#437 - Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony This was the mainline Danganronpa game that I knew the least about. I knew about the ending, and why it was so divisive, and before playing I really hated what I had heard about it... but honestly, upon actually playing it? I think it was really well done. This is arguably the best Danganronpa game imo, although I do have a strange affection for Ultra Despair Girls. The gameplay here is the best it has ever been (ignoring the absolutely awful dungeon crawler RPG and board game bonus modes), the cast is... maybe not quite as good as 1's, but definitely a step up from 2's. The cases themselves were all pretty interesting, it has the most cohesive climax, the soundtrack is as good as ever, the new maingame minigames were fun (Hangman's Gambit V3.0 is infinitely better than Improved Hangman's Gambit from Dangan 2)... Really there's not much for me to say against the main, core experience. But really though, did we need a 100 floor dungeon crawler? Did stat gains for it need to be tied to a bland, repetitive board game? Did stats need to be permanent and impossible to improve without starting from 0 again? And having to do the board game over 50 times was insanely dull. Danganronpa 1 and 2 were somewhat let down by bad bonus content, but it's even worse here. One thing I will say is that the "School Mode" of this game was better than the School Mode in 1 and 2. Hopefully if there is ever a Danganronpa 4 (there probably wont be), it cuts out all this pointless bonus stuff and focuses on making the core experience even better than it already was in this one. Maybe that's part of the reason I loved Ultra Despair Girls so much - it never wasted my time like the mainline 3 games did.
Popular Post Eqill5
#54 - Gran Turismo 6 Gran Turismo, a series I hold close to my heart. I truly love them and everything their creator envisions. Trophies aside it is a game where I’ll do more than what is required out of pure enjoyment and desire to complete them. GT6 doesn’t have you Gold every event or even complete every event, but on my way to the platinum trophy I refused to move on unless I’d met the time needed for Gold. This series is initially what inspired the completionist in me when I was younger and playing the older titles, before trophies were a thing, and it’s something I’ll continue to do in these games because of how much satisfaction I get from them! If you’re ever looking to get into racing games, Gran Turismo does a wonderful job of teaching you the basics of racing in their License tests, helping you to improve your craft and lower your lap times. The platinum trophy for GT6 doesn’t pose much of a challenge but more of a grind. I particularly enjoyed the Ayrton Senna DLC however. This is a set of 4 time trials beginning in a kart and working your way up to F1, trying to beat times he’s set in his career on particular circuits! What is included before and after each event is high quality slide show of photos and subtitles taking you through his career at the time. If you’re a motorsport fan I’m sure you’ll appreciate this! A really productive couple of weeks working on the last of my PS3 backlog, finishing with Spec Ops: The Line and Gran Turismo 6. Ending on a high! If anyone has any other PS3 recommendations be sure to fire them my way, I’ve most definitely missed out of some good games as I haven’t played that much so I’d be happy to keep the PS3 going, thanks!

Popular Post Mr_Wright95
Platinum 91: The Inner World Fun 4/10* Difficulty 0/10 *A 4/10 rating in the fun category is quite harsh for this game, it definitely has its charm and as the story went on I definitely warmed up to it. What held it back from being a more fun experience for myself personally was the amount of missable trophies that meant following a guide was definitely needed as well as the controls. The controls progressively got easier to navigate and the story definitely improved as it went along. This game really is charming and witty and whilst a 4/10 is harsh, I feel that the second game in this series will be far more enjoyable now that I have the controls down and my head around how this series plays. This is my second Platinum in my challenge to get 11 platinum's in just over 1 month, taking me to 100 Platinum's before Dec 25 2021. Popular Post da-Noob123
Man of Medan is my most recent platinum. I ended having to do more runs than I would have liked due to issues they fixed in Little Hope, namely being able to restart a chapter without having first beaten the game. Plus I had to do the coop mode 1.5 times because when I tried to load it the next day it started a new game and didn't load the chapter I had been on. Frustrations aside I enjoyed the story more than Little Hope but not as much as Until Dawn. It is perfect for October so I do recommend it next year if you have not played it yet. Just be sure to follow a guide after your first playthrough to minimize subsequent runs. On a side note, I am 11 for 11 so far this year earning at least one platinum each month. If I get one next month like I plan to, it will be my first time getting at least one platinum for each month of the year!

Popular Post AsheRebel
Platinum #142 - Mafia 1 Definitive Edition Great remake in my opinion. Didn't play the original so was my first experience of mafia 1. I enjoyed the gameplay and story except the very final bit where Tommy was killed, that cutscene was so weird and I didn't like the fact he got killed. The race caused me some problems on classic difficulty but nothing too bad. Would highly recommend and might go back to it for regional stacks not sure yet. Onto mafia 2 meow ?
Popular Post Carol
#225 Watch Dogs: Legion (PS4) Completionist Get all other Trophies When it comes to its campaign, "Watch Dogs: Legion" is a good, enjoyable and relaxing game. Unfortunately, I felt the open-world was very empty, in terms of activities, which, besides being unusual in a game from Ubisoft, was a shame, since London is a beautiful city, so I think they should have taken advantage of this, to create a more interesting and richer open-world. Trophy-wise, this was a simple platinum, but going through all those collectible locations was boring. People always find a reason to complain about everything, but I think the first "Watch Dogs" was a great game in very aspect, I had a lot of fun with it and it will always be one of my favourite games from Ubisoft. Unfortunately, I think this series went downhill after this great debut. Nevertheless, this game wasn't totally disappointing, because like I said, I liked the campaign, but, for a open-world game, I was expecting more. I still have the Bloodline DLC to play and, hopefully, that will be a good DLC. Edited November 18, 2021 by Carol

Popular Post Quink666
#398 Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning Perfectionist 8,68% Difficulty: / Fun: / Trophies: / Time to Plat: 35 Hours First PS+ game in a while that i had any interest playing. Pretty fun game overall, it seemed to be inspired by Fable alot which is a good thing since Fable is an amazing game. Trophies was kinda meh, especially the persuade 50 people trophy. Still i enjoyed my platinum journey with this game. #399 The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes Full House! 14,01% Difficulty: / Fun: / Trophies: / Time to Plat: 26 Hours This is by far the best game in the Dark Pictures Anthology. Mainly for one simple reason, the threat was real in this game like it was in Until Dawn. No chemical or guilt trip but actual real beeings threatening the characters in the game. The game requires alot of playthroughs for the platinum but at least there's no relationship or trait trophies like in the 2 first games in the trilogy. Highly recommend this game! #400 Visage Visage Master 16,67% Difficulty: / Fun: / Trophies: / Time to Plat: 6 Hours Here it is, the big 400th platinum! I decided to make this my milestone for one simple reason, it is an outstanding horror game far better than anything Bloober spews out. This is one of maybe 4 or 5 games that actually get me slightly nervous and on edge. There is also an homage to the Silent Hill series in this game which i love as a SH fan. Puzzles are kinda tricky but as the game tells you when you start it up, Visage is a hard game and it truly is. On my first playthrough i had to look up guides on 2 occasions because i was stuck, but there's no shame in that. This was my 2nd (PS4 & PS5 stacks) platinum of the game so things went alot smoother. If you enjoy horror you should definitely give this game a go. The PS5 upgrade is free for people who own the PS4 version. Willl probably be 2-3 years before i hit 500 platinums, but i will get there eventually =) Edited November 18, 2021 by Quink666
Popular Post ShonenCat
Platinum #92 - Devil May Cry 2 Difficulty Rating 3/10 Enjoyment Rating 7/10 Rare - 11.78% After a number of years dreading the idea of even playing this game, I must say it’s not as bad as most people make it out to be. I mean yeah it’s an extremely underwhelming sequel for sure, and the combat takes nothing more than a button mashing monkey to get through. Hell, even the story involves two heroes with no personality taking on a bad guy with no personality. But even with all those things stacked upon one another, Devil May Cry 2 looks far more appealing to me than whatever the hell that reboot DmC freaking is. The industry has been riddled with so much soy based crap as of late, so going back and playing DMC2 feels more masculine than it ever has before. Like a glass of ice cold water in a scorching hot desert ? While this does not top the first game whatsoever, it was still fine enough to the point where I stuck with it to the very end. Not a hard game by any means. The dual pistols are your friend! Whenever you feel in a jam, just mash that shoot button! You’ll have to do multiple playthroughs on various diffculties with various characters. But it’s much easier in action than it is on paper. Game is pretty short if you know where you’re going. Should only take you around 2-3 hours each time. As an NTSC region player, even Bloody Palace can be cheesed with infinite Devil Trigger if you set your PS4 to certain languages and input the right code within game. But you’ll need to beat Dante Must Die mode first before it works. I hear the fan favorite is most certainly DMC3 and sooner or later the time will come to play that. Looking forward to it ? As for DMC2, I’ve played far worse games.. so I’m not nearly as affected by it as some others. Worst part about it for me was probably that underwater boss. Yeah, I don’t know what the hell they were thinking with that one. Good times, but DMC3 will be the real treat soon ?
Popular Post NurseTatiana
#256 Amnesia: Rebirth Reborn Collected all the other trophies! 8.43% Very Rare Enjoyment 10/10 Difficulty 5/10 Soundtracks 8/10 Time Estimated 15-20h Platinum time 2days and 23hr Recommendation 10/10 My review I got this game in the Halloween sale so it was nice to finally try it out! I played the first part Amnesia: Collection in 2018. I thought it was a really well made horror game. So this one didn't disappoint me. A good story and nice variety of levels and I liked the main character. Overall it was a great experience and pleasure to play it. The trophies are not bad at all except only one. Speedster trophy requires you to beat the game in under 2h and 15min but in the new patch they reduced it to 2h and 20 min. This is a brutal time limit like you only have 2 minutes of error for the entire run pretty unfair in my opinion. I tried twice and never got my time under 2h and 25min. I swear I was running non stop it was intense imao and still did not made it ? So I decided to use the glitch for skipping a certain area. It shaved off 18 min so in my third run I made it! I personally think the devs should at least put a timer or something at the screen! Next platinum? I was thinking to Finnish the 100% of Amnesia: Collection but after I saw the description of the last trophy I said screw it lol. Maybe Daymare 1998 ? Guest
this is a curious game where the developers purposely leave bugs/glitches around the scenery for you to cheat and complete the levels. it's a fun and humorous game, for 1-2 dollars it might be worth it for a double platinum. the most "difficult" trophy will be completing 10 levels in a row without dying. the game has a bug where only the first time you play you will have access to all 3 ninjas simultaneously, instead of just 1 ninja (the game is designed to play with 1 specific ninja per world, playing with all 3 gameplay is facilitated). Popular Post RedRodriguez87
PS3 #344: DOA5 Last Round Master DOA5 platted 3 times, not bad! I did have to start from scratch, because my DOA5U save didn't take, but it wasn't any problem at all. I felt that the fanservice was obnoxious, but when something like SNK Heroines exist, I'll respect DOA owning it's smutiness any day of the week over SNK's shame-shame approach. 2 #345: The Holy Grail, Dr. Jones Not much to say. It's Lego, it's Indiana Jones, badabing badaboom. It takes key moments from the movie and puts a goofy twist on them, you go around collecting studs and collectibles, you have a wide variety of open-world tasks that take mere minutes to finish. I should go ahead and note that the trophies where reported to glitch, but MAYBE had been patched. I'm here to confirm that, at least for the NA version, trophies popped no problem. #346: Tekken Fanatic Yet another game I had done on my old account years ago, both on 360 AND PS3, so it feels good to finally 100% after all this time. There's not much I can say that the numerous helpful guides haven't, but I do have at least one thing; when it comes to Scenario Campaigns toughest moments, any accessory that helps you freeze/shock opponents is your friend. Knowing that, I was able to breeze through the endgame pretty damned easy, and now my Tekken platinum collection is complete! But sadly, my Tekken trophy collection will be forever incomplete..... And I have no one to blame but myself on this one.

Popular Post erwint0920
#44 Watch Dogs Legion (PS4) Completionist Get all other trophies. My first platinum of the year because I got bored of trophy hunting. Anyway I bought Watch Dogs Legion last December but had never even unpacked it because of various reasons but I finally decided to play it and it was as usual a great game. The Watch Dogs series is one of my favorite gaming series out there, I liked that you could recruit as many operatives as you would like but I prefer when a story focusses on a single character like they did in the previous editions. The platinum was easy to get just like Watch Dogs 1 and 2 with the only trophy that gave me some problems was the Past up trophy. Initially I thought the trophy was bugged for me because I thought I had done all the paste ups but apperantly I forgot one which I found out when I went to redo the paste ups. But over all again an amazing Watch Dogs game from Ubisoft and I can't wait for a next installment of the series.
