Popular Post TheArcadeKid
#256 - Alien: Isolation (PS4) I'm in awe of myself. It's not because the plat (or the game itself) is massively difficult. It's because I'm really not a survival-horror kind of guy. I did survive this game several years ago on PS3, but that was at university, where I handed the controller to a trusted roommate at key moments (bless you, Rory). The fact that I was tempted to revisit it all these years later, all on my own, says a lot about just how good this game is. Creative Assembly did for Alien what Rocksteady did for Batman. It nails it. This is a nightmarish lived-in world that prioritises relentless tension as opposed to cheap jump-scares (although there's a fair few in here). I'm not massively keen on the Alien IP in general, but this game makes it much more easy to appreciate. I'm especially impressed that the devs focused more or less squarely on the original film - my favourite of the bunch, and really the only one I consider great (sorry, Aliens fans). This game is perfected adapted to the source material, from the art direction to the stealth-horror gameplay. For the plat, I knocked out the three hardest trophies - finish the game on Hard, finish the game without dying, finish the game without killing humans - all in one go. It wasn't nearly as difficult as I expected, although it was certainly very tense. I did get screwed over by some cheap facehuggers I never even heard, but it was nothing a back-up save couldn't overcome. The last trophy I needed was to get killed by the alien 100 times, and even grinding deaths managed to be unsettling. With the way it drops from vents and lunges for you, it's all too easy for the alien to catch you off-guard, even when you know it's coming. Amazing game. Never touching it again.

Popular Post Mr_Wright95
MrWright95's Platinum Challenge -- Update #5 Nov 10 2021 - Dec 24 2021 11 Platinum Trophy Goal Platinum 96 Sparklite Fun 8/10 Difficulty 3/10 This game had so much potential but ultimately fell quite a bit short of what I imagine it was going for. The game starts off like most in the Rogue like genre, however whilst introducing new enemies and new abilities throughout the game, the gameplay itself was extremely repetitive. Once you get your head around the gameplay the first 4 bosses are a joke (super easy) Then the final boss has an insane difficulty spike comparatively, took a few hours to grind gear and then I managed to scrape by. Ultimately if you like rogue like games this was still a fine experience. I enjoyed the clean-up whilst watching Netflix otherwise it would be quite mindless. The art style was really nice and I do still recommend this game if you like this genre, but compared to other games I have played in the genre, it certainly is not breaking ground. Platinum 97 WWE Legends of Wrestlemania (PS3) Fun 5/10 Difficulty 1.5/10 A game that is in my collection solely thanks to my younger brothers. This game has become the saviour of my Platinum challenge to hit 100 platinum's before Dec 25 2021. The rule I made for the challenge was at minimum 1 of the Platinum's needed to be on a PS3 game. My PS3 backlog however does not have many simple and easy Platinum's. Ultimately I realised I could knock this one out fairly fast and adjusting the difficulty sliders for the most part made this pretty easy. I played most of the game on normal and bumped the sliders only for the last few difficult matches. Overall this game is nothing amazing given it is 12 years old, however there was a certain nostalgia playing this so many years later after having spent many hours battling my brothers on it years and years ago.

Popular Post ASMODAIOS344
That was a surprisingly fun game probably the best 0.99 purchase i have made. I especially like the art style and the design of the bosses which their not easy at all, after many failed attempts (especially the first one ) i learn their pattern.

Got the plat with only the Challenger Edition but i'm pretty sure i'll buy the Deluxe upgrade so i can 100% the game. Trophies was a mix of everything, combat, bosses, collectables and trials. None to annoying or hard! I gotta thank @Knispel_1940 for carrying me through Ascended Trials. That trophy with randoms in matchmaking was impossible since alot of them decide to jump into the "hardest" challenge the game has to offer with no gear or with the starting gear. Got very lucky with drops and i was only missing 1 augment for a full build. Was almost unkillable and did pretty decent damage. Highly recommend this if you are a PS+ subscriber. Popular Post ZitMeatloaf
Time for another update since the last time I posted in this forum. I'm getting really close to #100... not there yet, though. Here are some highlights from the past few months. #89 - My Name is Mayo 2 "My Name is Mayo - The Second!" Difficulty: 0.27/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 'Cause I'm fucking hardcore, that's why. I played this primarily for the National Trophy Hunting Day event, but I've got a dirty little secret: I actually enjoyed this game. I liked the first one, too. It fits my sense of humor quite well. #91 - That's You! "Know-All" Difficulty: 5/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 I lucked into finding this game on sale just as we were expecting company, and it looked like the perfect party game to play with people who don't normally play many video games. Lots of laughs to be had if you play with people you know well. My difficulty assessment is based solely on the number of devices you need to get the platinum; rounding up 6 phones/tablets can be quite the task, and I couldn't get any of the Android emulators I tried to work with the game at all. #92 - Ratchet & Clank (2002) "Gadget Master" Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 I never played any of the PS2 or PS3 Ratchet & Clank games, so I decided to go back to the beginning and play through them (R&C 2 was platinum #94, but I don't feel a need to make a separate entry for it). The games hold up remarkably well (although some of the voice acting for the secondary characters is just meh). I'm looking forward to continuing with these; still a whole boatload of R&C games to go! #95 - Gravity Rush Remastered "It's all Relative" Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 7.5/10 This game had been on my radar for awhile, and I had a perfect chunk of time to play something before my upcoming Christmas haul, so I decided it was time to give it a go. The controls take some getting used to, and a couple of the challenges can be frustrating, but overall it's a very good game. Although I imagine anybody with motion sickness probably won't have a fun time with this one. The game has you whizzing in every direction at breakneck speeds by the end. Getting very close to number 100. I think I know which game I want to play for the milestone, I just hope I've got the skill and patience to do it. Cmndr_Yoshi
# 135 - Double Switch: 25th Anniversary Edition From the "golden age" of FMV games on the Sega CD comes the 25th anniversary release of Double Switch, a game where you set traps to capture intruders in the Edward Arms Hotel. Featuring actors such as Debbie Harry (Blondie), Corey Haim and R. Lee Ermey, this short, somewhat repetitive, yet still entertaining game holds a special place for me along with Sewer Shark as great memories from an interesting era in gaming. Entertainment Value: 7/10 Trophy Difficulty: 4/10 - unnecessarily repetitive and somewhat glitchy Edited December 16, 2021 by Cmndr_Yoshi
Popular Post DesmaBR
Platinum #155 & 156 (PS4 & PS5) AMONG THE GREATS Win all trophies amongus This game is loads of fun, but playing on Playstation is not optimal. The controls are pretty weird and laggy. Also I can use the Geoff Keighley mask on the PC version People will say that this game is better with friends, but I prefer playing with randoms. It's infuriating 5 out of 10 times, but those other 5/10 chances where you have a good time with people you have no expectation of, they can be truly magical. Only brought on PS to get the platinums, though it'd be funny. If you wanna play it, PC ver is way better Edited December 16, 2021 by DesmaBR

Popular Post RedRodriguez87
#354: Most Sword It's amazing how these supposedly simple platinum lists go up in rarity simply by asking players to actually finish it. Still fairly easy, but fun too! #355: Guardian Summer in Mara has the look and presentation of an amazing summer vacation, and yet, playing it feels more like a summer-long job. But first, the positives, the farming itself is fine for the most part. You prep, hoe, plant, water, fertilize, feed, fish, build, head to town to sale your wares, that's all fine and dandy. The one problem I had with this, and it seems a lot of detractors did too, is how stingy the game is with your incentives. Harvested crop don't yield seeds, bait can't be caught by yourself, and resources are incredible scarce for many other things. It's incredibly easy to hit a wall when working, as you have to stop what you are doing, head back into town, but all the stuff you need, then head all the way back. Add in taking care of your character's stamina (not health, there is no dying) and the fuel of your ship, and gets tedious incredibly fast. And now we move to in-betweens. While the graphics look fine, the colors and art style invoke that of a fun summer time, and the character designs are cool, the small budget results in the towns and inhabitants not feeling alive in the slightest. NPCs are glued to their positions, having one or town lines of idle chat between them, which makes thing feel lifeless and empty. The story and character writing is also pretty "meh". It's starts off small and humble, and pretty much remains that way. However, it kind of pretends like its not; its hard to describe. but it lays hints about Koa's destiny and where it lies, as well as the mystery of her savior and caretaker Yaya Haku, but neither of these really build to any satisfying point. As long as you didn't flat out ignore the text, moments that should come as shocking revelations end up being things correctly guessed a while ago. Koa (repeatedly over the course of the story): Yaya was very important to me! She taught me everything I know, and she said I'm just like her! Plot relevant NPCs: It's time you learned the truth about Yaya. You see.......... She was very important to us. She taught us everything we knew, and you are just like her!! Add in a last minute villain (I don't exaggerate, this guy makes himself known during the last mission, and goes down in a CUTSCENE like a chump), no satisfying character growth or revelation, and the whole thing comes across like a waste of time. It could be the story wanted its strength to be is in its worlds characters; who they are, what makes them tick, etc. Thing is, I didn't like these characters. At all. I didn't HATE them, and I guess I disliked them a little less by game's end, but I disliked them all the same. Majority of them start as self-centered selfish characters, (only the blacksmith seemed like a responsible person with a firm grip on reality) and don't really grow out of that. They get a little less bossy, but it always feel like I'm doing all the work in trying to make any sort of connection. Koa herself doesn't really help here. Again, I don't hate her, but I gave on trying to cheer her on. Time after time she acts like is a little dummy who never seems to catch on she's being taken advantage of, with only one instance of standing up for herself. Be she having to play the adult when dealing Nana's old fart friends, flip-flopping between wanting to being a pirate one mission to considering them bad people in another, I just don't buy what this story intends this girl to be by stories end. And this leads to my negative; the quests. The godawful fetch quests. How the devs manage to make what is essentially the game feel like 90% filler is beyond me. Let me show you how the bulk of the game goes; Person A: Hey, I need something from person B. Person B: I have that something, but I'm gonna need something in return. On a different island. *sail to said item and farm/grow/search something* Person B: Thanks, but I'm not gonna actually give you this something. But here's a recipe for you to cook/build something else to make the something Person A needs. I don't sell all the materials you need, and the ones I do have are overpriced, so you got to go search for them. *You find your crap, go back to your island to cook/build these somethings to make the something Person A needs* Koa: Ok. now to take this something back to person A. *You do so* Person A: Oh hey that thing. Took you long enough. *You hand it over and the quest is done. You are rewarded absolutely nothing for your time* -Now take into account Koa's stamina and how you can't increase it at all, the fact she never gets a fast way to move around on land EVER, your boat's fuel, the fact that you're only able to do the cooking/building/preparing crap on your home island, and the having to wait in-game days for crops and resources to replenish, in-between having to go back to town to buy seeds. It's not fun is what I'm saying. I can't even remember why I bought this. I think it was on sale. I hate to sound mean to the small team of devs, but I also don't wanna lie. I don't know how else to end this, other to say, unless farm/sim games are your thing, I don't really recommend it. Popular Post Redgrave
#234: CONGRATULATIONS!!!! - Onee Chanbara Origin I had intended to get the sequel to this for a while but since the remake of the original was on PS4 I figured I would play it first instead. It's a pretty simple premise where it's bikini samurai girls fighting zombies ? The combat was more fun than I expected though even if it was pretty simple as well which is fine. There's not very much to say about, since it's a pretty short game where if you skip the cutscenes you can do the campaign in under two hours. The trophies were pretty simple where I think one of them I wound up making it take longer than it should because I accidentally skipped a tutorial on something and had no idea how to do a move that it told me I could do. Otherwise there is a money and level grind which the latter didn't take very long and both can be done by doing the gauntlet mode over and over or just leaving it since it gives you 18k in the in-game currency by just entering and exiting. One other thing I will say is that the game probably has one of the more creative trophy images I've seen where they form pictures of the girls ?
Popular Post Rias Gremory
Platinum #698 Demon Slayer: (Kimetsu no Yaiba) The Hinokami Chronicles Uncommon: 33.56% Difficulty: 3/10. Enjoyment: 10/10. Challenge: 10/10. Music: 8/10. Story Mode: 6/10. Genre: Fighting, Adventure, Action, Supernatural, Death and Murder. Grind Difficulty: 5/10. Platinum Time: 13 hours and 28 minutes. I have enjoyed the quick and fast experience when playing Demon Slayer: (Kimetsu no Yaiba) The Hinokami Chronicles. What I really like about the game is it has the similar style to Naruto Shippuden but more sword style fighting gameplay to it. The characters shown really good fast killing, combo and interesting power-ups. The bosses were really tough and brutal for me to defeat them when going for the S rank trophy. I am really impressed that was a excellent challenge and I give it a perfect score of 10. I trained and trained until I sharpened my reflexes and senses when I take on tough challenges including bosses minigames and etc. The story was relatively quick and it was very good and adequate to it. Man dealing with these was a pain in the royal ass when gunning down for the platinum. Platinum Trophy! Spoiler All Rank S Trophy! Spoiler A Taste for Competition Trophy! Spoiler Highly recommend for this game. Next Platinum: Leisure Suit Larry 2: Wet Dreams Dry Twice.
Popular Post guy_flies
N7 Elite Mass Effect (via Legendary Edition) Great game. It didn't effect me in 2021 as much as it did people in 2007 but it was still pretty great. In particular I loved the story telling. Usually with story heavy games I forget big portions over the 30 hours or so, but this kept my attention and I'm pretty sure I could tell you the story beats from memory after a single playthrough. The world building was great and I liked the characters a lot. I was disappointed there was no relationship option for Garrus. I've already started on Mass Effect 2. At about 25 hours for the platinum (I finished the story around 21-22 but needed extra side missions for the completionist trophy) that flew by I expect to be done with my next ME plat pretty quick.

Popular Post Quink666
#403 Dead by Daylight Dead by Daylight 3,16% Difficulty: / Fun: / Trophies: / Time to Plat: 248 Hours (3 Months 2 Weeks) When i started the PS5 version of the game i told myself i would not plat this version but only play it for fun. But after a few months i noticed that i only had a few pretty easy trophies left for the platinum so i said what the heck lets plat it again. So here we are, second stack of a pretty grindy game, guess it means i like DBD alot =) I got this plat in about 750 hours less than the PS4 version since i focused slightly more on the trophies this time. But the platinum can be achieved much faster if you are really good at the game and focus heavily on trophies. Pretty sure you can plat this in close to 100 hours. I got almost every single survivor trophy with the exception of 2 trophies in the Bill (L4D) DLC chapter which seems really annoying to get. Don't think i'll ever get the last gen done as the last survivor and escape. Tried that trophy so many times but never got it on the PS4 version either. This game is a ton of fun both solo and SWF (Survive With Friends). If you are looking for a game to waste several hundreds of hours on this is a good one. Highly recommend this game. Who knows maybe i'll platinum the PS6 version whenever it releases

Popular Post JaKMagnus
Just platinum John Wick Hex. interesting game. I had both fun and unfun experience at the same time. The game need ability to carry secondary weapons and the guns should differentiate each others from different properties like piercing, bullets spread etc.. to make more interesting as a strategy game. Now other than preparation time and damage, all guns just reduced enemies health the same way. Enemies spawn feel totally cheap on som level and they sometimes outright cheat and shot you through walls, statues. Otherwise good game. Try it if you’re into strategy games. Platinum will definitely required some effort. Edited December 16, 2021 by JaKMagnus typo
