Popular Post Gommes_
#142 Assassin's Creed Rogue Remastered Platinum trophy Got this because I loved Black Flag and this one is part of the “America Trilogy”. I liked the game because it was exactly what I expected – a DLC kind of game for Black Flag. Exploring islands, upgrading your ship etc. were great and, even better, the story was good as well. It didn’t convince me throughout the whole game but it was interesting. Gameplay wise it has the same faults as other (old) ACs. Jumping and climbing sometimes just don’t work and feels clunky sometimes. However, it is never really gameb reaking and the game is good nonetheless. Going for the platinum however is awful, since you need a shit ton of collectibles! Getting all of these useless fuckers is sooo boring and takes a lot of time. While the actual game lasts like 10 hours you’ll spend triple the time on getting all of the other trophies. The worst thing is that these collectibles have no purpose in game. You get nothing, literally nothing. So, the base game is good, getting the platinum couldn’t be more boring. #143 Life is Strange: True Colors Haven Maven Phew, I was looking forward to play that, since I liked part 1 a lot and also Before the Storm. Heard the worst about part 2, so I skipped that. True Colors was only okay. The world is beautiful, the art style gorgeous (imo) and that tiny place called Haven gives you a really good and comfortable vibe. The story however, which is the main thing about that franchise, is a mess. I can forgive wannabe teeny moments which are rather cringey but I can’t ignore blatant logical errors. The main protagonist has THE strongest plot armor ever and in the end the most stupid events all happened at the same time, illogical things were added and resolved in the dumbest way imaginable. There were one or two well executed surprises throughout the game but during the last chapter nothing made sense. And that is a shame, because the initial world building was really good. So, I wonder why the developers had the urge to connect all of the storylines to one big incident, even though it couldn’t be explained properly. The soundtrack was good I think, cause most of the times it is muffled somewhere in the background and not as dominant as in part 1. I don’t know, I have mixed feelings about that game. To think that they also charged a full price for that is another story. Edited January 2, 2022 by Gommes_

Popular Post MrGarland
Platinums #130 (PS3) and #131 (PS Vita) Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 9.5/10 The final platinums I managed to achieve in 2021, and with only one hour left in the clock. I honestly thought I wouldn't make it, but I actually did. Now I can be at ease. Anyway, the first Sly Raccoon game in the main series not developed by Sucker Punch Productions. When I first heard about this, I actually feared if it would be as good as the trilogy. Did it turn out to be any good? Yes. In fact, it turned out to be a positive surprise. It did have one major thing I wasn't fond of, but more about that in a moment. First of all, the positive side. The gameplay is what you expect from this series. It pretty much takes everything from the previous game, but it does throw new things, like Sly's ancestors as playable characters and outfits which are needed to progress in certain parts of the game. Not only that, but you can also find and collect treasures. If the second game entered into the GTA territory when it comes to failing the jobs and their fail messages, this game enters the Uncharted territory with all the treasure collecting. Oh, and the clue bottles are back. I've always wondered why they were left out in the third game. Another thing I really liked about this was the option to skip cutscenes. You couldn't do that in the trilogy no matter what, so I welcome that feature. However, some cutscenes can't be skipped. When it comes to the Vita version, there's not much to say. What I've said in the second game's platinum post applies here as well. It makes good use of both the touchscreen and Touch Pad. And yes, I'll admit that I used the Cross-Save to auto-pop the platinum in the Vita version, but that's only because I wanted to get these done before the end of the year. If it wasn't for that feature, it wouldn't have been possible. I'm not proud or anything when I have to resort to such a thing, but considering that I played both versions of the trilogy all the way to the end, I deserved to take it easy. I also have to admit that I didn't even know the thing even existed until I saw the thread. So thanks to that guy for making it. As for the thing I really didn't like, it's the fact that the character design doesn't look as good as it did in the trilogy. The Cooper Gang looks alright, but Dimitri and Carmelita don't. However, the one who takes the cake is Spoiler Penelope. Not only that, but turning her into a bad gal was an unnecessary move. The fact that she was the Black Knight was surprising, but that emblem on the armor is a big giveaway. I also feel sorry for Bentley after I saw that scene. I also have to mention that the music for the Training Montage just sucks. It also doesn't make it any better that there's a trophy related to that part which I didn't get on my first try. After a few attempts, I had to mute the TV because hearing that song over and over again started to make me feel awkward. Well, I suppose I made my point. Overall, I enjoyed it more than I thought. While some might say that it's nowhere as good as the trilogy, I actually enjoyed this as much as the third game. In case you're wondering if there's a game in this series I didn't like, it's Bentley's Hackpack. I only have one thing to say about that. Screw the Spark Runner mini-game. Hopefully I never have to do such a thing again. Need I say more? And that, as they say, is that. It's been over a month since I first started this project and now it has reached its end. What a journey I had experiencing Sly and his friends's travels. It was fun to play this series since I didn't play any of them when they were first released. Some things could've been done better, but that's pretty much it. Overall, this'll be a memorable series to me. So, what now? For now, I'm going to take a break for the next few days, just so I can focus on some other things. Namely, that thread I promised a while ago. For those that are looking forward to it, it's nearly finished. The text is ready, but I still need to do the test runs, just so I can be 100% certain. I also have to mention that while it was a fun journey, getting all the platinums from this series was exhausting, so the much needed break is a must. I usually don't do this kind of thing, but I made an exception for some reason. I guess I got greedy. I planned to do the same for the Jak and Daxter series, but considering how frustrating Jak II turned out to be, I canceled that. Maybe someday I'll do it. Maybe. Right now, I'll get some much needed rest. Once I resume gaming, I'll start by playing something nostalgic to me, which is: Spoiler After those games, my next platinum project will be: Spoiler To wrap this up, I'll let the following songs do the rest. If the first one isn't your thing, perhaps the other one will do the job. Either way, they pretty much sum up how I feel about this series. Spoiler One last thing, though. While it's late for me to say this, I'm saying it anyway. Happy New Year! May 2022 be a great year in every aspect, not just in gaming.
RoxasOnFire
Platinum 325 Suicide Guy 2/10 with a guide Took me years to finish... mostly because I forgot I had it lol. Piss easy game with a guide. More fun without one, but some of the stages aren't as obvious on how to finish them.

Popular Post Moridin83
#186 Magicka 2 "You are the Special" So this is one of those games where the rating is tremendously different between playing and platting. If you're playing with friends just to mess around, this is a ton of fun. Between combo explosions and accidental (or "accidental") team kills, it's great to mess around with. The plat on the other hand, was miserable. With friendly fire on, difficult content becomes truly unbearable if you are trying to play with randoms. Even with a dedicated partner, it may be easier to solo, so you don't have to worry about teamkiiling, and limiting what moves you use so as to not murder your friends...again. The "Bananas" difficulty challenges are infuriating, as one wrong move can have you restarting 20 waves back and having to do all the "easy" parts before getting back to whatever killed you. This is now my rarest plat (1.32% psnp, 0.1% psn), happily displacing dangerous golf. For all the complaining I just did, I still enjoyed about 90% of my time with this game, and it's a worthy start to my 2022 plat journey.
AgentSmiz
Platinum 137: Carrion Solid little game, if a bit short. Left me wanting more and I felt that the concept of being the monster had more to it but I enjoyed the game regardless. Did have a fair few crashes in the final section of the game which was frustrating...but after powering through it, the trophy description for that section referenced that one Kansas song and all was forgiven. Puns are always going to be a weakness for me.
Popular Post Sylvanticore
Hello there Platinum hunters! It has been a while since I posted in this thread and I've gotten a few platinums since then! So let's get started shall we? : Raccoon City Native Obtain all trophies. I still remember the first day I heard that Capcom was planning on remaking Resident Evil 2, it felt like so long after that we finally got the trailer for it at E3, I was so hyped for it as I remember growing up with the original 3 Resident Evils on PS1. I brought the game day 1 on PS4 and played it during my days off from work, sadly I never got too far as I brought way too many games and then ended up having to sell my PS4 and my collection to make money for a move I needed to do. As for the platinum itself I found it quite easy but I did cheat a little and have the brought unlockables (Yeah I know) however I do also have this game on PC and did everything legit there so xP. The only thing I did feel quite meh about however was having to play the game 3 and a half times because of the notes I needed to find and it's a shame that A/B for both characters don't really feel that different, I know the original was like that but I kind of felt more could have been done. : Ultimate Knack Received all trophies So I know Knack is seem as a complete and utter meme game, the so called worst game on the PS4 (Which I see so many people say) yet for me, these are the sorts of games I do like to do, I don't care if they are made with the intent of being for kids because sometimes you need to play something light hearted and silly every so often. The game itself is fine, Knack controls very well though even on normal you can be killed extremely quickly, doesn't matter if your health bar is the size of the screen, you'll be killed faster than a Dark Souls gank (We'll get to that in a minute). This platinum though really makes it game a lot more annoying that it needed to be, I am fine with collectables being RNG in games, but when you've got the amount you require for one set of collectables and you continue to get more for the same thing and NOT what you wanted, it becomes quite bullshit, made me glad that I finally finished it when I got the platinum. : The Dark Soul All trophies obtained. Congratulations! Remember how I said it's nice to play something light hearted every so often? Well here is something that will take your heart and stomp on it. Welcome to Dark Souls, where the mobs hate you and the players hate you even more but despite that, Soulsborne games are some of my all time favorite games, they are hard yes, but they are hard with a reason, they make you better at it while beating you senseless, my goal for this year is to actually complete all of the FormSoft soulsborne games before playing Elden Ring. Now as for the platinum, this was my first time ever doing something like this in a soulslike, normally I would finish NG and then put the game down, this time I had to go from NG to NG+2 to get all the rare weapons and all the boss weapons required... I would have had this done sooner had Gwyn not been a massive dick during NG+. : House Flipper You flipped 'em all! And now for something, completely different. Actually I don't have a lot to say for this game, most of the trophies were all extremely easy and just time consuming. The only thing I will say is one trophy annoyed me because it bugged and I had to do every single job twice because they refused to say they were completed after the first time. Popular Post xGabren
#4Naruto Storm 2 Awesome game for Naruto Fans. After you finish the story mode the Platinum becomes boring because you have to get all titles in the game and it takes a long, long time to do it, especially in the end when you need to use Every character in the game 30 times in Free Battle, this alone took me hours... Overall, it's an amazing game with a boring Platinum.

Popular Post Phlegeth
inFamous Platinum Trophy Collect all other inFamous trophies. That was fun. I liked the differences between hero and infamous powers. Hero was like, here's some precision to incapacitate the enemies without hurting civilians. Meanwhile, Evil powers were like, what if everything just fucking exploded taking out everything around what you're aiming at. Like, I didn't touch the Megaton hammer much in the Hero playthrough, but it was my favorite Evil skill. There was like a thirty second delay between the evil trophy and hard trophy popping. I was just staring at the corner of my screen, "Where is it!?" Edited January 3, 2022 by Ilzaki

Popular Post Icymind25
Plat #23: Far Cry 4 (PS3) Master of Kyrat Obtain all the trophies I'll repeat what I said regarding AC Brotherhood & Revelations when I posted my previous platinums here: "f**k the MP". Had issues once more when trying to join matches when we were trying to get the 3 game modes done and the coop trophies... but well, in the end I was able to play with some people and we got them out of the way. Now, onto the game itself: well, it's pretty much FC3 but with different characters, location, story, etc. However, it was still a fun game. The final conversation where Spoiler Pagan reveals to Ajay what happened between his mother Ishwari and him got me like "damn, that's some heavy stuff". Plat #24: Castlevania Lords of Shadow Platinum Unlock all trophies I have this game started in my other account too, but I never got the platinum there. However, one day I was like "I wanna play this game again", so I went ahead and started it here. Took me quite a while to actually go ahead and finish it and getting the trophies, but when I had enough motivation, I said "I'll try to get this platinum before 2022", and look, I actually did. Most difficult part of the game: some of the challenges. But just keep trying and you'll eventually get them done. Would like to do the DLCs too, so I'll try getting them in the future if I can. Popular Post MarcusPunisher
Assassins Creed Black Flag 5.41% - Very Rare Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me! This one will definitely go on this year list as a "finally done with" from my backlog. This was one of the first games I own when I bought PS4 and after over 7 years, it is finally completed. It is weird going back to these Assassins Creed games, cause as much as I enjoyed these old ones, the controls and the movements never quite felt right all the time. This was later brought up by Shadow of Mordor, where I thought they perfected the climbing and stealth movement with AC Origins finally making it more smooth. That's why it feels different and worse for me to try to adjust to these old controls where I much prefer the new ones. At least the game makes you live out your pirate fantasies, which was always rightfully praised, cause you sail and rob other ships. Your ship is your main vessel and it feels rewarding to give it upgrades and discover new plans to improve it. This is where the gameplay shines. I don't have much to say about the story, cause I honestly found it forgettable. I liked Kenway, mainly cause he was voiced by Constantine himself Matt Ryan, although I wish he wasn't so dumb for getting betrayed so much. I enjoyed it when other side characters were present like Blackbeard or Mary Kate, but that's about what I remember. The ending also felt somewhat rushed, cause I at one point forgot who the red head lady was and why was she suddenly on board with Kenway. The story also bugged me with the constant amount of tail missions that I had to play so many times it became frustrating. They never feel like fun and so much of it is spend on doing nothing. The "stealth" mission with a ship can go right back to the sea monsters deep where it came from. The sea missions were usually satisfying so can't complain there. I just wish the missions had more variety or something more interesting that was fun to play. Not gonna even mention the modern story, cause that's where the focus completely shifted. As for the platinum, the few annoyances that you encounter are the online trophies, legendary ships, and a lot of grinding. Grinding isn't so bad, as attacking few ships will net you quite the amount of materials that is needed to upgrade your ship. Just make sure you don't spend too much money, cause you need it to upgrade your hideout. The legendary ships were pretty painful even after full upgrade. I feel like many things can go down against your favor during these battles and it is not as strategic as it wants it to be. These can be very spongy as well and the one with two ships at once almost made me curse the entire house. Still, it is obtainable as long as you are patient. Last thing is the online trophies. You WILL need a decent boosting group to help you as online is pretty dead, especially for some of the modes you need and specific task trophies. This is also of course if the servers are working, cause sometime we would have a session where we couldn't join at all despite doing everything correct. I suggest doing that first and probably as soon as possible. Other than that, the platinum is relatively straight forward. Overall, I am rather mixed on this game. I really enjoyed playing, but I don't see myself ever going back unless I am in a pirate mood lol. I know many consider this to be one of if not the best AC game, but I am sadly not in that camp. Not saying it's a bad game, it's a good one that is very flawed in the level design and due to older controls. This at least encouraged me to finish some of my other AC games in my backlog, starting with AC Unity. This one is gonna be interesting, cause I was there where the game launched and I experienced so many bugs. It is also the game that sour my taste on the series until Origins came around. I like to give games a second chance so I am curious how that game will play after these years. Then I will tackle Syndicate and possibly other games like Rogue. I am not touching AC III as I don't have many intentions to play that game and the remaster looks like as. Now yo ho ho and the battle of rum ya sea scums arrr!
Popular Post guy_flies
N7 Elite Mass Effect 3 My third consecutive ME platinum via the Legendary Edition. Popular Post Captain_Bone_666
#71 Bugnsax Bugsnax Master Obtain all of the trophies My last platinum was in October since several games failed to make me passionate enough to care about them. Lego DC Villains and Kingdoms of Amalur are just too boring, CoD Vanguard: three stupid luck based trophies that I did not want to waste my time on and the Crash Bandicoots 1-3 were just too frustrating for me. I ended up replaying the campaigns of CoD Modern Warfare 1+2 and then discovered Bugsnax in my backlog. It is a nice, short and weird little game. No glitches, trophies that make sense and overall a a very enjoyable game to play. It requires a little thinking, did not include any multiplayer stuff and really gives you a good time (even though the story has it's dark moments). It was exacty the right game for me to play at this time of the year before I need to get back to work. Looking forward to the DLC regardless of any trophies.

Popular Post Charizarzar
#149 Steep King of the mountain Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 6.5/10 I'd been looking through my library for something more on the challenging side that would tide me over while deciding on what would be plat #150, and I have zero regrets about picking Steep! It has beautiful environments with excellent physics, and while you'll spend most of your time snowboarding or skiing, there's a variety of other ground or flying sports to go for. I wouldn't call myself a huge winter sports fan or anything, but I had a ton of fun playing this. It brought me back to this skiing simulator/arcade game I used to play as a kid while my parents were shopping. This is an online only game but none of the trophies involve interacting with another player, and it's actually a nice touch to be able to see other people doing their own thing without bothering each other (I also wasn't expecting this to be so popular). You'll spend most of your time in an open world environment trying to gold medal various challenges (and even with over 100, each one feels unique). I think the plat rarity is a little misleading though, there's definitely a learning curve to some of the challenges but they're all doable with practice. The DLC rocket challenges (which I believe are free) also give you a few extra challenges if you're struggling with one of the normal ones. Fans of the Tony Hawk games would probably really enjoy this.
