The Alchemist
Platinum #550 - Moss Together We're Twofold This is actually my second time earning the platinum for this game. I grabbed the NA stack a while back when Sony were doing the Play at Home initiative, and because I love the game so much I decided to dip back into it a second time for more trophies. It was free so why not? Games like this is the reason why I love VR so much. It's just a wonderful experience from beginning to end. It's a little on the short side, although it's fun the entire way through, and I'd prefer that over unnecessary filler any day. I was so hyped when the sequel was announced, and I'll definitely be picking it up, if not at launch then soon after. This ranks in my top 3 PSVR games, and I would highly recommend that anyone with a PSVR try it out if you haven't done so already. Hopefully you snagged it when it was free! I also love the platinum tile, so I figured that it would make the perfect milestone platinum.
matrelli01
# 4 and first of 2022 - MotoGP 2020 I suppose the game is a masterpiece for a true MotoGP fan but I'm not ?: my last moto game was this old gem THE CYCLES: International Grand Prix Racing (PC/DOS) 1989, Accolade ? At the beggining I struggled to learn how to drive fast a MotoGP: it's so different from a racing car... the breaking points, the speed in the corners ? About the plat: nothing really difficult (everything, but Historic Mode, can be played at the lowest difficult), the game is very fun, only the Historic Mode took me several hours but it was very interesting to learn much about MotoGP history... ? Moridin83
Another twofer update #188 Disintegration I don't really know what to say about this one. There was nothing particularly memorable about it, either good or bad. The one thing that stands out is not about the game, but the trophy list. When it launched, the game had online trophies for a multiplayer mode that was apparently very short lived. I say apparently since I did not get this game until after the MP was long gone. However, the devs for the game went to the effort to update the trophy list so all the trophies were achievable in the offline single player. This is so rare that I picked it up on sale just as a curiosity. In the end, it was ok for $15, but there are much more exciting options out there. #189 My Friend Pedro I generally enjoyed this one, with a few little quibbles. The game is relatively simple, and a playthrough can be completed in 3 ish hours. The plat will take somewhat longer, as you need to S rank every level. This is where the quibbles come in, as the controls let me down at times. They're just a little floaty for some of the precision required in later levels, to keep your combo going and finish in a quick enough time. It's nowhere near the hardest tier of time/score attack games, but the controls make it more frustrating than it should be.
Popular Post StraightVege
The Limits of the Possible #281 Finally, I've gotten around to completing PSN's ultimate hIDdeN GEm, thanks mostly to the Netflix series rekindling my interest in this franchise recently. It was certainly the best of the Witcher trilogy (the first game being pretty abysmal, honestly), and tops typical sandbox RPGs in most aspects as well. I'll take this over The Elder Scrolls any day. Even if you haven't played the previous games, or read the books (personally, I'm only familiar with a brief synopsis of Sapkowski's work), you won't require much prior knowledge to start W3: Witchers are professional monster exterminators, taken as children to be mutated and trained until they're substantially faster and stronger than normal men, not to mention learn damn near everything there is to know about monster behavior. Geralt, of the Wolf school, is essentially the greatest of all time when it comes to this grim job, with his body being able to tolerate more mutations than anyone else. Initially, he embarks on a search for his missing lover, which quickly turns into a hunt for his lost adopted daughter. That ought to be enough to get you going, since the game includes a comprehensive glossary to flesh everything out. What makes this world so compelling to me are the nicely written and performed, morally grey characters, and dark stories with no ideal outcome. True heroes are hard to find in this bleak place, and one is usually forced to make difficult choices on which is the lesser of two or more evils. Somehow, the writers manage to pull this off, while still injecting plenty of humor. I can only imagine the sheer amount of work that went into the overabundance of content on offer, especially when you take the multitude of branching story paths, and attention to detail therein, into consideration. Hopefully, CDPR employees didn't crunch themselves into illness in the process. It would be an injustice not to praise Wild Hunt's stellar Slavic soundtrack, too; it's a large part of what makes scenes like "The Ladies of the Wood" so good. That said, after all the hype I've heard from zealous fans about "THE GREATEST GAME EVER MADE IT WILL RUIN ALL OTHER GAMES FOR YOU FOREVER BRO!!!", I gotta say, I don't see it at all. My introduction to the game was Vesemir—Geralt's mentor and traveling companion—hopping onto an invisible horse, then sinking into the ground until only his head was exposed. I literally rode to the first village alongside this old guy's noggin poking up from the dirt! This was followed by nine crashes to blue screen by the end (I counted), and a variety of other bugs, such as one quest spawning me under the map, and another removing all audio besides Geralt's dialogue. Considering how glitchy the Witcher games can be, I'd say Cyberpunk wasn't a one-off thing. These are Eurojank RPGs in many ways, and The Witcher 3 is no exception, despite the massive AAA budget. The load times are also excruciatingly long, forcing you to listen to the same story recap narration over and over. I suppose it's miraculous that this game runs at all, considering its gargantuan size. My grievances aren't limited to technical issues, however: -The main story drags on and on, and probably should have ended after the battle at Kaer Morhen. Everything beyond that point felt like filler. Thankfully, the self-contained stories of the two DLCs (Hearts of Stone, Blood and Wine) were just right, and are almost worth playing the game for by themselves. I particularly enjoyed B&W's little murder mystery. -Combat feels only marginally improved over The Witcher 2. The same old tactics remain effective in these somewhat clunky engagements—cast Quen, strike the enemy 2-3 times with Geralt's silly pirouettes, dodge away, repeat. Add potions and oils if you really want to trivialize fighting. At level 28, I respecced into an overpowered Euphoria build, allowing me to consume four strong decotions and effortlessly Whirl everything to death. Was Death March supposed to be challenging? It's also profoundly irritating when you're trying to escape enemies, but Geralt is stuck in "combat mode" and won't cooperate. -Speaking of the alchemy system, potions and oils desperately needed a quick menu like the signs have, because four d-pad slots isn't close to adequate. No wonder none of the let's players I've watched bother to use alchemy much. It's an arduous process of opening the sluggish menus, then slowly scrolling around to apply each one, before every encounter. -Roach is the most useless horse in video games! Seriously, ancient titles like Shadow of the Colossus somehow implemented this better. Every minuscule object gets her stuck or slowed, so I often didn't bother with the laborious task of calling her, jumping on, and attempting to steer her anywhere; I'd rather travel on foot when the objective is within 200 steps. Watching her float out of the ocean to join me on an island was amusing, at least. -Very repetitive quest design—use your Batman Witcher detective vision to follow some glowing red marks, kill something/somebody, receive mediocre reward you're probably overleveled for by then. Hooray, 15 experience points, 25 gold pieces, and a crappy sword. There are some great side quests to be found, for sure, but I didn't feel like I missed anything vital by ignoring the majority of this stuff. 133 hours was more than enough. -Level-locked equipment. Guess this is a matter of personal taste, but I usually don't enjoy this approach. If I find a sweet new sword, I don't want to wait 20 hours to use it. The way Geralt's purchased skills function is cool, though, allowing you to swap them around whenever necessary, to fit the situation. I always like that kind of build flexibility. -To quote the esteemed Noah Gervais (regarding Dragon Age, I believe): "I cannot possibly imagine why BioWare felt like watching 3D puppets pretend to fuck would make my experience more immersive, 'cause it didn't." The manner in which so many perfect, supermodel women throw themselves at Geralt's smelly old ass is rather cringeworthy. You'd think this guy is James Bond or something. Yup, must've been written mainly by dudes! It was far worse in the first game, to be fair, so I'll give them some credit for improvement. Wild Hunt is a good time overall, regardless of the flaws, but let's not exaggerate. While it's unquestionably among the better open-world ARPGs I've played, there are games o' plenty I'd name as my favorites before this. Now, would I play it again on PS5? Probably! There are some alternate story paths I wouldn't mind exploring, and it might do away with some of the bugs and whatnot. Popular Post DefinitiveTJ
Platinum 106: Sleeping Dogs Played the game a long time ago and I remember really liking it so I thought why not play the Definitive Edtion. Turns out that I barely remembered anything from it since 2013 is quite some time ago, who would have thought. The setting and story is great and I would love more games that puts the gameplay of GTA in interesting cities around the world, and it's weird to think that Hong Kong has changed since the release of this game and now. But speaking of the gameplay, it's way more repetitive than I thought. To many missions that aren't interesting and repeat, to many collectibles, triad xp that is poorly balanced and so on. It was cool to play the dlc which is now included wich I never did before but even they have the same repetitive mission structure but now in a different setting. So overal not to positive on the game overall but I would not get the platinum if there wasn't a sort of loop that I did find enjoyable, the setting kept me playing till the end.
Popular Post TalesofGaming
#62 - Dark Souls III After 1 year of playing co-op Soulsborne games, I have finally achieved every single one! Back in 2020, I never saw myself ever playing a Souls game. (Though, I did already have Dark Souls Remastered and Bloodborne on my profile before that.) I didn't want to go through the utter frustration of being stuck at every possible point. Luckily and thankfully, my best friend, @KazaneHime, gave me the courage to finally tackle them and earn the platinum trophies. Fast forward to the future and I've finally completed Dark Souls III! I really enjoyed this one after the not-so-great Dark Souls II. My favorite boss fight would have to be Abyss Watchers as it's just so epic. Honorable mention to the final boss with the epic piano solo in the music. In any case, I'm all set for Elden Ring with my Soulsborne wife, Anisha.

Popular Post No longer here
#144 - Battlefield 2042 (PS5) Enjoyment 7/10 Difficulty: 4-5/10 Time: 150h PSNP Rarity: 3.35% PSN Rarity: 0.1% This is the first plat of 2022 for me boys! Yes despite the negative reception with this game, I still really enjoyed it with friends and made it all the way till platinum. Yes the hazard trophies were a pain, but made some good friends and teammates while going for the trophies, so the experience was bearable. I am a little more biased since I am a BF fan, but I agree with almost what everyone said about the game, whether it is related to the content, gameplay and design itself. However, I made it to be an enjoyable game to play still despite all these bugs. This isn't a game to play solo, because then the game would suck the life out of you with its lackluster content. Truthfully, i don't regret playing this game I made some funny and intense moments with people, hopefully the game picks up in the future. It is also an UR trophy as well I would recommend this game to any BF fan out there because i found the game to be fun still. However, it would be best to wait if it the game doesn't pick up soon, but you may try out the game if you're really into the large scale battle system that is BF 2042.

Popular Post erwint0920
#54 - Hitman 3 World of assassination Complete all 47 trophies. ____________________________________________________________________ Once again a great Hitman game. This trilogy had been simply amazing and Hitman 3 tops in right of. The levels were amazing, the ways to kill as great and sometimes as out there as always. Belrin, Dartmoor and Dubai are close ties as mine favorite levels in Hitman 3 with Chongqin and carphatian mountains beiing my least favorite. I personally think that, all levels combined, Hitman 1 has the best levels of the trilogy. The Hitman 2 and 3 levels are just as exceptional but that's just my opinion. The game mostly worked perfectly for me, with the exception of during the secret story mission in Mendoza where the game crashes multiple times at the same point (when hitting the guard on the left balcony after coming up from the stairs) and when I had to change to a guard disguise it told me to change back in my previous outfit and then back to guard and so on and so on. Other then that the worked perfect. I am know gonna do the Hitman 1 and the Hitman 2 'DLC' trophies, AGAIN. I really hope when a Hitman 4 comes out that the trophies of Hitman 1 to 3 are not included as additional trophies. Don't get me wrong I fully appreciate the additional content that they give us, but I already have the other games and I don't want to do the same trophies over and over and over again. After that GTA III. Edited January 13, 2022 by erwint0920
Popular Post slender_adrian
#82 Difficulty:4/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 Grind: 3/10 Rarity: 6.29.% Very Rare Time: 92 Hours "Is it Gullwing time?" This is my first time playing this game and I really liked it, it has his flaws but I had to admit that it has his charm, it has a lot of funny moments and a lot of cringy moments too, I spent most time laughing and how couldn't I with Brother, Rikku and those damn Hypellos haha, and that ending... it was worth all the time spent going for that 100%. A lot of people don't like this game, but if you liked FFX you must give it a shot it's worth playing, it's pretty hard to top what FFX did. One of the things I don't like about this game is how easily you can miss big chunks of the story, and talking about the story, I really liked the main idea, the characters were amazing, but for me it wasn't well executed, despite my harsh crtitic haha I really enjoyed my time with this game. As for the trophies, the trophy set is devided in 2 games, FFX-2 and Last Mission, my goal was getting all of the main game trophies on my first playthrough and getting 100% completion ( Sweet Perfection), I don't know how but everything went nicely, because it's pretty easy to screw stuff. There were 2 moments were I thought I screw something up but it were guide mistakes. My best advice for getting 100% completion is doing everything on a single playthrough from 0, it makes life easier. Thankfully this time there's no sphere grid grinding haha, honestly this plat was very easy, one or two difficult bits but the rest was a breeze for me. Killing Trema was pretty easy ( Founder), oh and I almost forgot, Shinra's Bestiary ( Monster Master), this is in some way like capturing all fiends in FFX but easier, now there's this thing called Oversoul, where a fiend becomes "stronger" after a certain number of the same type of fiend have been killed, so all you have to do is Oversoul every species once and then just walk around through Via Infinito unlocking entries, easy right? Main game took 80 hours. Last but not least there's Last Misson, it may look scary but it's more boring than challenging if you know how to build a proper character on the early levels. This took me 12 hours to beat 4 of which were spent building my CH so about 8 hours from floor 1 to 80, I probably could done it faster because I did bother actually playing this game haha, I started rushing until floor 60. And there it goes, I enjoyed both playing and getting the plat for this game, a lot of fun and cool stuff, like the dressphere mechanic which I think it's pretty good. Very easy plat and extremely generous, there's a lot and I mean A LOT of stuff that doesn't count towards 100% completion or that hasn't a trophy attached. As for Last Mission trophies, they are extremely easy but very time consuming. All I can say is that I really enjoyed FFX/FFX2 story, and getting the plat for both games... was awesome!!! I'll miss these girls!
Popular Post Bahraini_carguy
37th Platinum: Driver: San Francisco (PS3) Brief: You ever seen those car chase scenes from classic 70's action movies? Now imagine a game that revolves entirely on those car chases. That's essentially Driver, an action driving game series that begun back in 1999 on the original Playstation. Driver: SF, released in 2011, was the final main entry to the series and compared to the disastrous 3rd installment (Driv3r), it's quite decent actually. Plot is simple but on the ridiculous side: game starts 6 months after the events of Driv3r, you play as Tanner who's an undercover cop and your arch nemesis, Jericho, escapes prison. Long story short, you end up in a coma thanks to Jericho and then all sorts of wackiness occurs. Either way, storytelling is almost never the main focus in a driving game, it's the gameplay where this game truly shines. It's too long to explain but there's a decent 27 minute video on Youtube that talks about the game in-depth. Trophies: Difficulty: Pretty easy actually, most of it is quite straight forward. The main storyline missions are quite short so you'll just spend most of the time finishing off challenges, side acitivies, buying cars and upgrades. Multiplayer trophies aren't that difficult either but it's a bit buggy for me as i actually lost some online progress whenever i shutdown the game. Even if the game clearly triggered the auto save function multiple times, i still lost some race wins and such. Other than that, it's fine.
Popular Post AK-1138
Platinum #689: Ginger - Beyond the Crystal Difficulty: 4.5/10 Playtime: 20-25 hours HATE. LET ME TELL YOU HOW MUCH I'VE COME TO HATE THIS GAME SINCE I BEGAN TO PLAY IT. THERE ARE 378.44 MILLION EZPZ TRASH PLATINUM GAMES IN THE PLAYSTATION STORE. IF THE WORD HATE WAS ENCODED INTO EVERY SINGLE KILOBYTE THAT COMPRISE THEM, IT WOULD NOT EQUAL ONE ONE-BILLIONTH OF THE HATE I FEEL FOR THIS GAME AT THIS MICRO-INSTANT. FOR YOU. HATE. HATE. ...So yeah, this is basically one of the worst game experiences I've had... maybe ever? I've played scads of objectively worse games, but as a picosecond-by-torturous-picosecond experience, rarely has frivolous digital entertainment, socalled, come across so consistently mind-breakingly tedious and enragingly broken at the same time. You might suggest it may be for the best that this Year of the Backlog (I've written this word so many times over the past week that it's lost any semblance of meaning, and my mind can only parse it as the name of an Uruk or something) should start out at the unsurpassable nadir of such an unpredictable endeavour... but then, I could also do without these stains on my fractured soul that will remain forevermore. Now, I hear you ask... what is a Ginger: Beyond the Crystal? Well, in the most tenuous sense of the definition at best, I guess you might say it's what your average BanjoKazooieDarkCloud3DWorldalike would be like, if all you had to go on were descriptions from Helen Keller, and you were forced to program it using an upside down keyboard with a... okay, you know something? I think all this overblown hyperbole borne of temporary psychosis might well defeat its own purpose, as by those outlandish standards, it's actually a pretty capable little game... and that's more credit than I will ever extend to it. Besides which, it might also lessen the impact of its more factual flaws that I am about elucidate upon your personage. In an ideal world, a game like this might have passed for just another shamelessly unoriginal triple derivativeburger with extra blandcestershire sauce in a sea of them--grist for the mill--but we're not that lucky. You see, this is one of the worst optimized console games ever released. Each and every godforsaken time an asset is loaded (maybe only 99.999999999% of the time on a good day), the game skips a few frames--an event henceforth referred to as "Gingering"--while retaining your control input. This means, of course, you might easily walk off a cliff or into an enemy's attack through no fault of your own... apart from whatever errant brain wave caused you to spend your money and time on this game, of course. Hell, if you're really lucky, Gingering will occur just as you jump, causing the physics to really get thrown out of wack, and more than likely sending you careening through the already unreliable vertice work at the drop of a hat. This fatal flaw, combined with the game's penchant for precision platforming, ensures that you will experience something akin to 3.7 seconds of enjoyable gameplay per hour, in-between those inevitable endless barrages of curses you will unleash upon the developers... oh, and if this somewhat misanthropic behaviour gives you pause, just remember that said developers can't possibly have conceived of this as anything but an act of pure hatred directed towards the human race. The alternative would be... no, let's not think about it. This is, of course, combined with a copious clusterfuck of caveats that will fuck you over even on a platform on which it might actually run decently. First of all, hitboxes and collision detection are borderline nonexistent. Trying to attack enemies by way of punch punchy punchpunch may damage them... but they're more likely to miss and ensure you're the one the record shows will take the blows. Dash attacks are similarly a crapshoot. Ground pounds are the only borderline reliable forms of attack... and even that seems to be only because the attack animation consists of 93.7% invincibility frames, probably the only beneficiary bit of bad programming in this shitshow. Unforgiving and frankly unnecessary falling damage--from such low heights that wouldn't even cause Kevin Nash's quads to tear--abound, even in the hub worlds. Oh, and speaking of hubs... you'll be doing yourself a disservice if you decide to free villagers from their crystal prison (don't that sound like a Led Zeppelin lyric), as more onscreen characters results in an even lower framerate, which--you guessed it--results in even more needless death by Gingering. Oh, and did I mention there's a super-strict speed run trophy? You don't have to be one of them there mathemathologists or whatever to figure that crappy game design + time limits = Hell. And lastly, a turgid god tier shit sundae such as this needs a particularly stupendous rancid cherry on top, and Badland Games know nothing if not how to please... believing I was a mere half hour of so for claiming victory over this most fearsome quarry and thus poised to resign it to the garbage dump of my mind forevermore, the game pulled its last and most abhorrent trick... a trophy refused to pop, forcing me to replay the game just to do some brainless troll sphincter fetch quests it deigned not to properly spawn the first time. Usually, at a point like this, I'd just take the loss and leave it as a chore for another day. But I'd never reached a point like this, and I'll be damned if I let this foetid monstrosity prove the primus motor of just one more nanoangstrom of tachyoneural cranial activity, so fuck it! ...Just to be safe, because you just never know with a game like this, I decided to do this wholly unnecessary second playthrough in one session, in offline mode, with regular USB backup saves... practically everything short of buying a Mylar blanket, drawing a circle of salt, and sacrificing the bezoar of a karakul sheep to Eldritch gods under a waxing moon during a Venusian retrogradal shift. Oh, did I say "last trick?" Well, naturally that didn't quite do it either. Yes, those much-beloved trophies that only pop when you restart the game just had to make their grand return for a game as uniquely terrible as this. 'Twas written in the stars. And just as a final kiss-off into the air, the platinum just had to take an inordinate amount of time to sync, giving me some lovely PTSD flashbacks to that time when Arise fucked up my ability to sync, forcing me to delete my original PS4 user profile to fix it. Years of therapy, down the drain... thanks a lot. Ultimately, from one human being to another, I implore you: please do not buy this game. Developers this almost parodically devoid of any hint of talent, imagination, or skill, do not deserve to be compensated or motivated to continue unleashing their wickedness upon the world. You stand a bigger chance of actually currying favour with vague metaphysical forces by supporting Breakthrough Games, than you do ever deriving any significant sense of joy or fulfillment from this most unholy of abominations. Heed well my warning, or your soul too will be irrevocably Gingered, as was mine. I can take some solace in knowing I can at least dedicate the tattered remains of my life to serving as humanity's lone Guardian against this insensate evil. This is my story...
