Popular Post Elvick_
Platinum #227 LEGO Incredibles It's Showtime! Unlock all trophies This felt very rushed, but at the same time it was pretty polished. I didn’t have any crashes or freezing, like I have in a lot of other LEGO games. It feels rushed in part by the open world and how broken collectibles get as soon as you’re able to fly. (Which for me was quite early) There’s just so many bricks laying around without any requirement to get them other than to “get there” and that means by passing most of the intended minor puzzles to get them. I don’t recall LEGO City Undercover having this for example. It required you to do something mostly. That said… I sort of like that? I don’t know. I’m split, this is one LEGO game I didn’t feel like “ugh X more bricks” as I was playing. The number moved fast and it felt a bit more like any other collectible in an open world game like infamous, Spider-Man, etc. which was kind of nice. A few more that required a bit more would’ve been nice. they did some neat things in the open world, I just wish they didn’t load you into it after each level. A more basic level select that included the open world would’ve been better, the load times are chunky. I like the crime waves, but there was a distinct lack of variety in what led up to the boss battles. Another part of it feeling rushed. But the bosses in the crime waves and through the story were actually all fun to do for once, I never got annoyed like I have in some of them. Some of them just amounted to fighting which was nice. Rather than constantly needing to do a puzzle per “wave/state” of the boss. Some still do stuff like that but the variety in them is nice. I also like the various, “tasks” (don’t remember what the game called them). Stuff like putting out fires, breaking cash registers, or Screenslaver’s monitors, just tasks to do in the open world tracked ingame. I did most before I got the red brick that showed their location. I liked exploring for them. i Liked the list having some effort required, nothing too skillful though, all the open world races were piss easy other than one above water race which I couldn’t get dash to run for for some reason (guess it’s only select water he can run on…) but using a boat and getting used to the handling and it’s easy. Some of them I got gold with over 30s left on the clock. I remember flying being harder in the first Marvel game for example. And Dash destroyed every land race. And Dory did the job underwater. I liked that there were some small water sections, personally wish there were a bit more of that. I put this off so long in part because I read how it started with the story of 2, which is dumb to me and I hadn’t seen the film at the time I got the game. Then I put it off because I hated the movie lol. Incredibles is one of my all time favourites. But I want to clear the game off the backlog. And I’m glad I did it was a lot of fun to play. I was curious how they’d do characters and how much was padded and they sure padded it. General Pixar, just generic old lady. Like 8 Mr Incredibles and rather than having different skins be on the same token like more modern games have done (Batman 3 for example) they just dump them all to act like the roster is larger. I didn’t care for that. Granted I don’t like the constant cycle through each costume how it works, it should just open a sub menu instead, but whatever. all in all this is a very fun, solid, little to complain about LEGO game. Which was kind of nice. I don’t know if I’d go as far as to say it’s one of my favourites, but I liked how it focused on the main Incredibles and their skills. It made them feel more special in the end instead of feeling exhausted at how many characters you need for various tasks. Most are covered by the family and Frozon. and it shows their skills in icons, which is nice. Not sure what game that started with but it was refreshing compared to others in the last and not remembering who can do what lol. I wasn’t too big on the game avoiding the mentions of death from the original film. I could forgive Frozon added to the Mr. Incredible solo moments, for co-op’s sake, but bringing the dead back to life in the story is weird to me. It’s not like other LEGO games have avoided death from movies. Maybe it was their only idea in that level idk. Minor nitpick I suppose. Neat game. edit; future me has a new appreciation for this game. Sure the lack of variety exists. But like I said it’s ultimately good since it doesn’t turn into a huge slog and the bricks come fast and I never felt tired of the game. Marvel Super Heroes 2 is such a slog in comparison. So many badly designed missions, tedious puzzles that can take forever… Incredibles was a perfect balance. Maybe not the best value with its content, but I’d prefer LEGO games be like this than padded to the brim with tedious nonsense. I will now consider this a favorite of mine, because it was fun. And I wish I was playing it again instead of MSH2. Edited January 21, 2022 by Elvick_
Popular Post Revvie
#284 DIRT LEGEND Collect all other Trophies Ngl, I just wanted to play some racing games and since this was free on PS+, I thought I gave it a shot. I like driving the cars and the graphics are colorful... Other than that, the rest is meh. There's a "story" that I didn't care, samey tracks, lackluster car customization and poor car selection. And now for the plat screenshot. Oh god like at the start of the day, why are you putting dlc ads on my face before the main menu? Let's just close this and... Spoiler Are you serious!? Two of them!? I'm not joking that there's two dlc ads before the main menu. I'm not interested in your dlc EA. Now back to the plat screenshot... Spoiler Now that's much better... Kinda.

I was however hopeful going in that it would be a neat little game, sure, nothing unique or akin to the greats (Mario, Spyro, Crash, Banjo, or even bizarre but creative ones like Glover) instead I found a frustrating mess. I can’t stand the sight of that stupid blue turd, and I have the game on Steam too. *sigh* (humble bundle I assume)

Popular Post Cal
Platinum 58 Uncharted Lost Legacy My first platinum for 2022! I have been wanting to comeback to this game for a while now but got distracted by other games, I love Chole and was bummed out when she was nowhere to be seen in A Thief's End then she got her own game and I was a pretty happy man. I like Lost Legacy more then 4 simply because this game get's to the action more quickly...and Chole is in it. Getting all the trophies were easy some of them sounded a bit daunting but then I just looked up a guide and they were all a piece of cake, wasn't a fan of chapter 4 though with all the collectibles in a small open world, but other then that a short sweet fun game!
Popular Post KenjiCBZ
#67: Horizon Zero Dawn All trophies obtained (30.12% - Uncommon) Obtained all Horizon Zero Dawn trophies. First Platinum of 2022. I got my Ps4 in 2017 and I had been interesting in this game ever since 2018, when I first heard about it: apparently, it had everything it took to be a great game I would have liked, but I never had the chance to play it because of other games that I decided to play first. On one occasion, I was very close to buy it, but when I was going to pay for it, the cashier realized he did not have the disk anymore, so yeah, it was not Horizon Zero Dawn's turn yet... But one day, Sony decided to make this game free for the Play at Home initiative. I was very happy: finally, I had the chance to play this game, and for free too! But... I did not enjoy it. I am an horrible person, I know. I'm not sure why, I'm not saying that this game is bad, but it did not live to the expectations, at all, it didn't get me. I had zero reasons to be interested in the story and the gameplay felt very stale and unoriginal: I can't count the number of times where "I was supposed" to play Horizon Zero Dawn to make progress towards the Platinum, but instead I just played Fall Guys for the fun of it. No wonder why this Platinum took me 5 months to get. Obviously, I respect everyone's opinions, but mine is this: that game... Felt very meh to me. A huge disappointment, I really can't see what's so great about it. I played most of it on Normal difficulty, but at a certain point, after realizing that I wasn't enjoying it, I switched to Story difficulty and I meeled my way to the Platinum. Thank God I got an unlimited pack travel kinda early during the game, because I still remember how boring it was to walk for ten fucking minutes in order to get to the other side of the world because I had run out of pack travels. Since I am a completionist, I will definitely try to get the 100% as well, but I am very very afraid about Ultra Hard difficulty... Expecially considering that, as I said, I did not like this game, I am scared I will burn out once again after few deaths: so if you have some tips to make Ultra Hard more bearable, they are welcome What I mean is: I am not afraid of a challenge, I spent several hours trying to get difficulty related Trophies (Grounded on The Last of Us, Extreme on DuckTales Remastered etc.) or hard Trophies in general (Platinum Relics on Crash Bandicoot, Infallible on Fall Guys, Zico Times on WipEout Omega Collection etc.), but the thing is, I was enjoying these games and I did not feel like I was wasting my time, here with Horizon, I already know I will be so bored and frustated after just few deaths. And also, this game made me question wheter I will like or not another game I had been interested for a while: another open world, Ghost of Tsushima. I really don't want to be disappointed like that once again, tell me what you think about it. I am SO glad I didn't spend a cent on Horizon Zero Dawn, Forbidden West will definitely not be a priority, the day I will get my Ps5. I am 100% sure playing through Frozen Wilds will not make me change my mind, maybe my NG+ Ultra Hard run might and make me more focused/interested in the story, since I will not play the side quests and just focus on the main story, but honestly I doubt it.
Popular Post Boomshanks
( 74) RATCHET AND CLANK: INTO THE NEXUS THE PRIDE OF FASTOON Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 3/10 I played and loved the Tools of Destruction trilogy but somehow I completely missed this game. Well 2021 was as good a year to start a PS3 title as any, so I decided to try it out to complete the Ratchet and Clank PS3 collection. The game is smaller in scale than the previous titles. It only features 5 planets, one of which is basically a tournament area. The other planets are great and offer some fun new mechanics for travelling around like the Grav Links and the Jetpack. The latter especially gives you great freedom in the levels and there is always a lot to do and collect. Somehow the Grav Boots felt really slow, instead of in the previous games where they were awesome. There are a few setpieces involving gravity but I found them pretty mediocre. The game is short and can be completed in about 6 hours. The story is pretty weak. Since the game is so short, the villains barely get any screentime and the final boss is the weakest in the series so far and has no personality. Also, you can see the twist in the story coming from miles away. The gunplay is excellent as ever, though there aren't that many standout weapons. The Nightmare Box is fun but pretty op since it acts as a decoy and stays on the field for waayy to long so you can shoot everything from a safe distance without being at much risk of being hit. The trophies in the game are simple and straightforward. I completed the game twice, once while playing the story and getting all of the collectibles after and once on challenge mode on the hardest difficulty. With the upgraded weapons, the hardest difficulty isn't really that hard. I quickly finished of the final boss using only the upgraded RYNO. Upgrading the weapons themselves was a bit of a grind in the end but thankfully a post in the forums mentioned a quick way to earn bolts so it wasn't that bad. I ended up with about double the raritanium I needed for all of the upgrades . All in all, Into the Nexus is a fun little Ratchet and Clank game but it did miss some of the charm of the previous titles. It's not bad, but it doesn't really stand out either. I didn't really care about the story or the new Clank mechanics with the Nether rifts. But the gameplay was great as ever and the added freedom with the Jetpack really opened up the levels. For a final new PS3 title, I could have done a lot worse.
Popular Post LastMinuteSavior
King of Liberty CityUnlock all trophies. Had a good time playing this. As of the latest patch the game looks and runs pretty nicely. Overall, it's now a decent remaster. In fact, the only thing holding it back is the stuff Grove Street Games didn't bother modernizing, mainly the widely outdated shooting mechanics. On the other hand, it must be said that the driving controls feel amazingly smooth and responsive. A mixed bag for sure, but the game's charm make it worthwhile.

EAFC_Rico
#77 Road Rage - Road Raged Difficulty 3/10 Enjoyment 1/10 Terrible game. Was expecting it to be better and more like the Road Rash games from previous generations but I was badly mistaken. Although it's a PS4 game it feels like it could pass for a PS2 or early PS3 game with the graphics and gameplay. Also getting 1000 kills is a BIG grind and very boring making the game feel even worse than it already is.

RaiantheMajin
I just got the platinum in Killzone Mercenary. This is one of my favorite games on the PS Vita. I admit I am not too good at multiplayer in this game, but I managed to get most of the multiplayer trophies by joining random lobbies. I only needed to do the ten kill streak in Botzone. I'm glad you can fight alongside the Helghast, if for only a little while.
Elvick_
Platinum #228 Yet Another Zombie Defense HD Awarded all trophies All trophies have been awarded Hideous plat icon. And unimaginative trophy name… but for a game I played for my PS Now sub, it was decent, other than when I tried joining an online game (not sure my internet would let me) and then my PS4 slowly started to take off. I’ve never heard the fan go so loud ever in my life. And it kept going. I forced closed the game and shut it off for the day in fear lol. Other than the tedious 20 frozen enemies trophy, nothing was too bad and felt like it at least required some effort. It was fun for what it is. I didn’t like some of the rng of how “sales” worked. It makes it harder to plan out what you really want to do to build up your defences. to reiterate a bit on the frozen stuff, it just felt like I had 20 frozen constantly. I had two turrets and me going with 200 ammo and ran out without getting it. Then somehow some people with videos of the trophy could get it just kiting and that never worked for me. And then one turret just magically helped me get it at one point even though I also tried that before. I don’t like when a trophy is earned and you don’t know why/what you did differently to “succeed”. Very annoying trophy.
Popular Post SirWaWa
Tales of Xillia 2 This is one grindy platinum. Not the longest platinum I've gone through and not the longest Tales platinum either. Took me less than 150 hours on a single playthrough even though a second is recommended but I couldn't be bothered playing it again. I just grinded it out a single save without any exp multiplier from the grade shop (but I used food) and it really wasn't that bad if you know where to farm exp, which I didn't know efficiently until the last 8 hours of my playthrough or so. Some frustrating title challenges for the battle trophies but once you figure it out, just keep repeating it until you get the title. That's pretty much the theme of this platinum. Really fun battle system which made the grind very tolerable for me. You really have to play/unlock all the content and watch all the endings to get the most out of the story. Seriously, l cannot think any other game will be as good as this after 9 years old release. It was really good to go back to story as well. There were lots of jokes l missed when l was younger. Popular Post dmsleight
# 79 Ratchet: Deadlocked I've been holding off on this one for a long while. I remember it have very tepid reception, however I liked it more than many of the others that I've played. It also came free with FFA, so considering it was free, it was the best game! Some of the skill points seem to glitch and then pop when I was doing an (seemingly?) unrelated skill. I got all of them with out any noticeable issue. Most annoying thing was knowing what enemy I had to kill for the skills. Anyway, good game, give it a try if you have it. # 80 Subnautica This is my first (and only so far) PS5 game. I goofed around for a bit exploring etc, before I went to dev mode. Seemed like very tedious gameplay to me. Visually stunning. Glad it was free.
