Popular Post madbuk
#454 - Crysis I've been vaguely interested in Crysis for quite a while, typically I don't tend to play FPS games but I do enjoy an occasional one here and there, and Crysis seems to be relatively popular so it had always been something I intended to try out in a deep, deep sale some day. I was browsing PS Now to see what I could get done in my last month of membership with it, and saw Crysis had recently been added, so I took the opportunity. I'm glad I waited so long for it lol, patience does pay off. My opinions overall on it are... it was okay. I somehow have avoided spoilers entirely for this whole series so I wasn't expecting some of the late-game enemies at all, and that does make me interested in trying out the sequels some day to see where they go with it narrative wise, but the gameplay wise the combat in this felt a bit unbalanced. Early game enemies have pinpoint precision, spot you from miles away, kill you in a single hit, and basically force you to use stealth or just die immediately. Which means every time the game forces you into combat it became a slog for me, because a lot of the time it felt somewhat luck based. The stealth was definitely the highlight of early-game gameplay. But then around the halfway point, the enemies... get worse? Their aim gets less accurate, they start dealing less damage, and overall you can just run and gun and be fine. It felt like such a strange shift when games typically are supposed to get harder as they go on. The wide-open progression of this I wasn't a huge fan of, at times it felt like I was playing a Far Cry game but a less fun one. The linear levels were far more enjoyable for me, so I hope that the next two games don't try and be a weird blend of open world and linear again and just stick to linear entirely. I won't be playing the sequels any time in the near future because they never seem to go particularly cheap, but I do want to eventually.

Popular Post FilmFanatic
#300 - Elden Ring (PS5) Elden Ring is easily From Softwares best game to date. The world is massive, there’s a ridiculous amount of bosses and so many things to do/find that it’s easy to miss some. My favourite thing about the game was the weapon skills. I started as a Samurai who begins with an Uchigatana which I used throughout the entire game and it comes with a skill called Unsheathe which does a tonne of damage. I tried out a few other Ashes Of War but none of them came close to the damage of Unsheathe plus it was a useful skill to set up an enemy up for a critical hit. It was so good in fact that even when I got the Hand Of Melania which is the highest damage katana in the game, I still used it as my main sword as the skill was so much more useful. I went with a dual katana build so I could power stance as it was a lot of fun in Dark Souls 2. The damage output was big and had a great moveset. For NG+ I decided to farm a heap of levels to put 70 points into STR so that I could go with a tank build but switch back to my DEX build if I wanted without having to respec. Having a greatshield definitely made some bosses easier though I prefer a faster swinging weapon to a colossal sword. The second best thing about the game was the Spirit Summons. They are pretty much boss breaking as they take the bosses attention which leaves you free to strike them. The Mimic Tear is easily the best one as it’s a copy of you that can heal and use any item that you have in your quick inventory. It’s also way better than summoning another player as a spirit summon won’t increase the bosses health. I guess that at some point I’ll stack the PS4 version as I’ve stacked every other From Software game. But it’ll be interesting to see how I go with it given that I’ll know my way around the game this time.
Popular Post HansPatat050
#60 Need for Speed: Rivals Enjoyment: 7/10. I'm a fan of the NFS series and this one is in line with all the others. A fun racer which can be challenging at times. It runs good on PS5, no hickups or framedrops. Difficulty: 4/10. Pretty challenging game. You play either as a cop or a racer with 60 levels to complete. The game adjusts the difficulty to the car you choose, which can just make the difference between easy and hard. It wouldn't be an NFS series if there isn't a random car spawning directly in front of you or heavy rubber banding. The most challenging part is the final race of the Racer playlist, it covers the entire outskirts of the map and lasts around 10-12 minutes. Plat time: 25 hours

Popular Post BlitzkriegHottie
How you like my rocket? ! Platinum Trophy (How original) Rarity: 23.24% Ah Subnautica, what a pleasant journey. So happy this was given away for free. I almost never say this, but thanks, Playstation. You've heard everything about this already, its a phenomenal game that sadly (and I guess as expected) has performance issues even on the pro. I guess I was too hard on Stranded Deep and there's just no way of flawlessly porting a game like these to consoles? The constant frame drops and stuttering, paired with the ridiculously long loading times tarnish this otherwise excellent experience. Platinum wise there are two ways to approach this: the easy way and the easier way. If doing it legit, you can expect a very manageable set of hardships that always come packed with the genre. But of course, you can always go with the cheesiest way and just use the console commands, essentialy making this a 1/10. What approach did I take you ask? Oh i took both. That's right, I created a Japanese account and downloaded both JP and NA versions, Did JP mostly legit (I was trying the commands and I accidentally unlocked a couple vehicle trophies) and went full dev tool on the NA version. Game Rating: 8/10 Platinum Difficulty: 3/10 or 1/10 with commands. Time to platinum: 25h or less than 50 mins with commands. Will definitely try Below Zero at one point.
Popular Post Golem25
Platinum #113 - Grand Theft Auto IV + 100% Taking A Liberty - Unlock all trophies. 55,413 Owners - 9,202 Achievers for a percentage of 16.61% (average completion; 24.72%) Enjoyment; 8/10 Difficulty; 7/10 (Gold Star) Trophies; 7/10 (unique tiles, fun requirements until you go Online) HEY COUSIN; 10/10 My third sub 1% rarity Platinum, and probably the last one for quite a while - GTA IV is another one of those holy grails from the PS3 era, and I'm very pleased to have finally added it to the collection after I put it off for.... Yeah, try and think back to what you were doing almost thirteen years ago! GTA IV actually provided my first Trophy with a timestamp (having been finally forced to go online for the multiplayer) so it's quite the milestone to now cap off the 100% with the Platinum. No fewer than 14 Ultra Rares on this list, mostly thanks to the ginormous online grind bolted onto an excellent singleplayer campaign. Back when I unlocked one of the more annoying Trophies on the list - Auf Wiedersehen Petrovic - I snapped a pic of how I had finally conquered the multiplayer; two PS3s, two copies of the base game, and two copies of Episodes from Liberty City to create the ultimate boosting setup. Dummy account to let me do all the races and the Happiness Island ranking trick, plus some help from friendly boosters online who were chasing the same prize; I don't remember the finer details of the story given that I completed it many years ago, but I did play through the two DLCs to get my 100%. Both are prime examples of how to do a damn good batch of downloadable content, but The Ballad of Gay Tony did introduce a set of extremely frustrating challenges for each story missions, forcing me to replay them multiple times over. Still, having this game all done and dusted now is definitely a good feeling and very much worth the effort. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna get back to Vice City. Popular Post No longer here
#148 - Elden Ring Enjoyment: 10/10 Difficulty: 6/10 Time: 80 hours+ PSNP Rarity: 10.13% PSN Rarity: 1.0% Been waiting for this game for years, and now it has finally arrived! As a soulsborne fan, this was worth the hype and probably From Software's most ambitious title to date. The game is huge and comes with about 83 bosses to defeat, of course many being optional. Yes you can say the game is like Dark Souls 4, but with a open world feel of Skyrim or Breath of the Wild. There is always so much to do and can easily be addicting. The boss designs are nice, the levels were also well designed and the lore is pretty interesting. On top of that, the cutscenes looked nice and smooth as well. Some boss fights were the hardest in the souls series and some were the pinnacle in terms of scale and epicness. This is a much longer game but the platinum can be achieved in one playthrough via save scumming. The end game levels were awesome while also producing a spike in difficulty. I don't have much to say about this because the game is really a masterful experience. With this masterpiece done, all soulsborne games are done..... for now. For starters, this game is very lenient and accessible and is a great first game to be introduced to the souls series!

Popular Post RoxasOnFire
Platinum 334: Elden Ring (PS5) Difficulty: 6/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 Idk what to say... this is the best game I've played in so many years. It's balanced like a typical soulsborne game, vague stats, vague menus, it's everything I expected from, well from Fromsoftware. I feel like anything I could say about it will still do it a disservice so I'll end this with these words... I fucking loved it and in a year or so will gladly plat it again on the ps4. Popular Post Juzota
#153 - Horizon Forbidden West (March 10th) - It took me about 60 hours to get the Platinum and it was quite enjoyable time from start to finish. For some reason the combat felt bit off compared to Zero Dawn, but it didn't bother me too much. Main story wasn't very interesting, but I did like most of the characters and side missions. Good game, definitely will play the third game whenever it's coming out.

Popular Post Rias Gremory
Platinum #761 SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated Uncommon: 43.23% Difficulty: 2/10. Enjoyment: 9/10. Challenge: 8/10. Music: 6/10. Story Mode: 6/10. Genre: Platform, Adventure, Action and Kids. Grind Difficulty: 5/10. Platinum Time: 3 days and 12 hours. After the success of Persona 5 for my 750th platinum milestone. I thought I give this game a fair-go. I already know who and what SpongeBob SquarePants is. I was a young brat back then when I first watched SpongeBob SquarePants but I've lost interested and stop watching the show back then. I can pretty much say I've enjoyed playing the game and turned out really ok. It maybe bad but not the worst. Some of the stages can be a bit annoying when going through those moderate obstacles but it didn't faze me one bit. There's not much else for me to say here but it is still a good effort nonetheless. Platinum Trophy! Spoiler Star Smasher Trophy! Spoiler Are you ready now? Trophy! Spoiler Highly recommend for this game. Next Platinum: ??? Popular Post Undead Wolf
#401 - Life is Strange: True Colors Haven Maven Collect all Trophies in Life is Strange: True Colors™ Definitely the best Life is Strange game by far. The writing is of a much higher quality than 1 and 2 which made the characters in this one more believable, and thus, easier to sympathise with. It was a joy to converse with them and help resolve their troubles. I really liked Alex as the protagonist too. She's super cute, so of course, I had to hook her up with Ryan to make her the tradwife she's destined to be in Haven Springs. ? Speaking of, I loved the town this game is set in. Not only is it beautiful, but it's the kind of place where everyone knows and cares about each other. As a city boy, it makes me rather jealous that I don't live in a place like that. ? I'm a sucker for the kind of stories where you have to unravel a mystery, so it didn't take much for me to get invested in this game's story. I think it all wrapped up nicely too. The final confrontation was pretty powerful. It took me about 10 hours to beat this game. There's some collectibles and side objectives you need to complete for the plat, but it's all pretty straight forward. I'm just glad the trophies don't force you to make specific choices so I could pick whatever felt right to me. I won't go into specifics, but there's a part right near the end of the game where your relationship with the other townsfolk are tested, and I got everyone to side with me, which according to the stats, only a small percentage of people managed, so I'm pretty happy with that. ? Really enjoyed my time with the game overall.
