Popular Post Katt
Got a handful of platinum trophies in the last few weeks and forgot to post them here... Ehhh, I'll try to keep it short. Tales of Arise was a nice birthday gift. Now I'm struggling with Metro Exodus on PS4. Damn, the optimization is the worst. Cat Quest was surprisingly a really good little game.

Popular Post Cmndr_Yoshi
Great work on the plats, everyone! Just wrapped up one of my favorite RPG's on the PS4... World of Final Fantasy Platinum # - 164 Rarity - 10.73% Played this gem of a game a few times over the years on other accounts but I have to say that it still holds up as one of the best of the best RPGs on the PS4. A little bit of fan service, a whole lot of stack strategy, and a post-game RPG grind that isn't really TOO bad, considering there's next to no luck involved (unlike you, Ni No Kuni...). The story is the usual JRPG fare, and so it's somewhat hit-or-miss, but I really enjoyed the light-hearted and often comical dialog between the two main characters and their friendly Mirage. Just be prepared for an...interesting...end-game credits sequence. Not sure what game to head to next...thinking of the Secret of Mana Remake, but I may take a break from the RPGs for a few games. After Ni No Kuni and now this, I'll be nice to get a few other things done. Good luck in your gaming goals!
Popular Post RoxasOnFire
Platinum 337: Sly 3 Difficulty: 5/10 (bc of challenges) Enjoyment: 6/10 Not a bad game at all, never played it on the ps2, I was never into the series back then. I liked this one more than 1 or 2. The challenges post game can be a pain, but my issue was mostly being impatient. Now to start the 4th one... ugh lol.

Popular Post Karl-Kai
Kingdom Hearts Melody of memory Melody of Memory Complete Master When it comes to the Kingdom Hearts series, there are only a few games in it that I like, but there's no arguing with the fact that all the games have some nice soundtracks! While this game was at times a tad clunky, it definitely was fun enough to make me wish they'd crank out more titles like this with other game serieses of theirs, for example The World Ends with You or Final Fantasy - or even just another KH one, if they have enough tracks for it. This game also gets extra points for including Riku as a playable character. ? Anyway, I was having great, great time playing Melody of Memory! Marginal #4: Road to Galaxy 喜んで!! This one I picked up from a discount bin because it had a rhythm game element in it. It was pretty fun to play, though the only difficulty level that gave some challenge to S-rank everything was the bonus difficulty accessible only through a separate menu outside the story mode. The story mode itself was pretty nice in its simplicity, though somewhat often it started to lean on the boring side --- however, there was one character who genuinely made me laugh constantly!

Popular Post Redgrave
#242: A Tale of Origins and Endings - Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin Had you told me that there would be a prequel to the first Final Fantasy where the main character listens to Limp Bizkit and Frank Sinatra on his phone I would have thought you were crazy but here we are ? Despite that bit of vague context it was a lot better than I was expecting it to be and with the gameplay being done by Team Ninja it was quite fun to play because of how satisfying the combat felt. It's similar to Nioh but it's not near as punishing especially once you start getting the higher level gear and leveling up the classes which there are quite a lot of, so there is a lot of different playstyles which leaves plenty of options to tackle the game with. Not to mention there are combos and other things you can customize. Along with the combat being more like Nioh they included co-op as a feature too which was really nice. There is a lobby system that will only kick you out if there is something solo related in the story but it doesn't happen too often. Like previously mentioned, despite the "haha Limp Bizkit" stuff the story has more to offer than just that since Jack and the other characters had something of a bond that I feel like was shown well but I feel like people just let the meme stuff overshadow it and affect their judgement without really playing it which is a shame. Even so I think Jack's brash personality is what makes it funny and endearing ? I'm not sure if it's an accurate description but I think Jack is more of an anti-protagonist where he does things differently from other protagonists such as interrupting a monologue of a character by basically saying "I don't care, just hurry up and cut to the chase" and how he's driven to defeat Chaos. He definitely stands out from other Final Fantasy protagonists but in a good way. The trophy list isn't really difficult which was kind of surprising although either due to a bug or some other kind of error the trophy for completing the game on Chaos difficulty only has it where you have to complete one mission. If it's intentional then I assume they intended the game to be beat on Chaos difficulty but changed their minds but if not and it gets patched then that would make the list harder. Otherwise it's just completing story stuff and doing misc things with the upgrade mechanics. And once again I would like to thank @Undead Wolf for helping defeat Chaos with me ?

Popular Post KenjiCBZ
#71: Spy Chameleon All trophies earned (11.18% - Rare) Congratulations! After Rogue Aces, this is another little gem I played on the Vita: a very cool, little puzzle/stealth game, challenging at the right point. Highly recommend it ?? In the credits and in the main menu after getting the Platinum, a sequel is teased, I'd love to play it but I doubt it will actually exist. Popular Post Mariner1534
#73: Horizon Forbidden West (PS5) One of my most anticipated games in a long time; I can't tell you how hyped I was at the original announcement in the PS5 reveal showcase. Zero Dawn was one of my favorite games of 2017 (no small feat, considering how stacked that year was for gaming), and Forbidden West definitely had more of what I loved about the original: fun/unique ranged combat, gorgeous scenery, exploration, the intertwining of "present" and "Old Ones" stories, etc. However, while I still think HFW is a very good game, I had a bunch of nitpicks that brought the experience down a bit for me, and honestly I think I enjoyed Zero Dawn a bit more. The biggest one was that I just didn't find most of the side content interesting this time around; a lot of the new stuff (machine strike, gauntlet races, arena/melee pits) wasn't really working for me, plus I didn't really find most of the sidequests all that engaging. Combat, while still very fun, was also far more frustrating at times with how aggressive the enemy AI is - especially when you don't have a lot of room to maneuver. You get a lot of new weapons/elements to play with, though by the end I was almost exclusively using a couple "regular" bows since the other stuff felt a bit wonky. Speaking of wonky, climbing around just felt really "off" a lot of the time, to the point where I abused fast travel a lot just to bypass large chunks of traversal. I did like the story and most of the new characters (Alva is adorable af), although without getting into spoilers, the villains and late-game plot twists can feel a bit jarring compared to the vibe of the rest of the series. I'm really looking forward to see how the eventual sequel will conclude things, but with a lot of apprehension (in terms of both story and gameplay). I still think Forbidden West was a fun, worthy follow-up that fans of Zero Dawn should definitely play (despite that long, negative-sounding paragraph I just wrote), though it probably wont be a personal GOTY contender this time around. The plat's pretty easy - you don't need full 100% completion here, it's more of a "finish the story and sample everything else" kind of trophy list with some combat/upgrade trophies thrown in. I've heard some people complain about reaching level 50, though honestly if you're not just ignoring half the stuff you run into, you'll get there naturally while working on everything else. I think my completion % was in the low 70s when I hit level 50, and in the high 80s when I got the plat. No missables: the "scan every enemy" trophy used to be, but the game was patched to automatically give you credit on the problem enemies after beating the last story mission. No difficulty trophies, either: the difficulty's highly customizable beyond the usual "easy/normal/hard" selections, which is cool. Difficulty: 3.5/10 Enjoyment: 7.8/10 Plat Time: 60hrs (easily doable in 40-50) Edited March 27, 2022 by Mariner1534
Popular Post Moridin83
#198 Yooka-Laylee An old school 3d platformer collectathon, at least you get what's advertised on the tin. I started out finding it charming, but the small number of worlds (5), compared to the amount of collecting, and a general lack of interest in the worlds had me ready for this to be over well before the final boss.. That's at least partly a me problem, but the game didn't do itself any favors with a general lack of variety, and a few particularly obtuse pagees to collect. # 199 Burly Men at Sea This isn't much of a game. I don't mean that in a bad way, as it was actually charming in it's own way, but even for a narrative game, the gameplay is practically nonexistent. It's very short, with only about half a dozen choices per playthrough. Each playthrough is only about 20 mins, so if you enjoy the characters at all, it's a cute diversion. I'll freely admit though, this was a quick filler to allow my next plat to be the milestone I wanted it to be.
Popular Post Moridin83
#200 Catherine And here's the big one, number 200! I started this as part of @ExistentialSolid's "Please Destroy Us" challenge, after having it untouched in my backlog for longer than I care to admit. ? It is incredibly unique, and brings something very different to the table. I have a hard time deciding how I really felt about the game though. I found the combination of the boss mechanics and the combo system for gold rank not difficult, but frustrating, and not in a "Just one more try" way, but a way that made me want to do anything else. Figuring out how to complete a block puzzle was challenging. Doing so when a random movement or attack from the boss could kill a run with no hope for recovery was less so. Where repetition and getting slightly farther every time is frequently the name of the game, not being able to do so due to factors outside your control was not fun. However, I still appreciated the game, and completing the final stage of Babel has to be a top 5 gaming accomplishment for me. Despite its warts, I obviously appreciate this game enough to make it a significant milestone, and would recommend it to anyone up for a challenge.

Popular Post MakotoKaCun
Platinum # 110 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim This is definitely a game which i started playing and let the controller down, just because I really want to see the where story go. In between there also some Mech battle gameplay which is not hard. Most likely because i play the normal ver. Maybe Hard mode is Harder. But the game definitely speak of itself. With it interesting story that really draw my attention. So really enjoy playing the game and seeing how all the character story unfold. This is definitely a good game to play with a good story. Hopefully got time i will finish all the Extra Mech Battle level
