Popular Post nestamar5
Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1 Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1 Master Trophy Rarity: 19.10% You played the game so much, you made Neptune folks proud! This game is exactly what the series needed when it came out. A remake of the first game with a much better battle system and better accessibility due to not only being on Playstation Vita, but eventually Steam about half a year later. Until it came out on PC, the Hyperdimension Neptunia games were pretty niche with a small fanbase, at least from what I remember. Now it's not that uncommon to find other fans online and the thanks go to the Re;Birth titles and Megadimension. As I've said before, Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1 is a remake of the original Playstation 3 game. However, both the story and the gameplay have been heavily revamped that they're two completely different games. The story is far goofier this time around, with the Console War and the strained relationships between the goddesses being swept under the rug a little too fast for more liking. This does allow the goddesses to join the party very early, which I do appreciate from a gameplay perspective, but I do miss them being endgame powerhouse unlockables that you have to go far out of your way to achieve. Victory's DLC characters are also shoehorned in and pretty much do almost nothing of relevance in the story, but it is pretty nice to be able to play as them. The gameplay is pretty much the same as Victory where you line enemies up, Attack, use SP or EXE moves, maybe use basic formations. It's pretty basic, but it's far more enjoyable than the original's battle system where you set up combos and hope the AI uses a healing item when you need it and doesn't waste it when you don't. One of the new modes is the remake system. It's basically just a nerfed item development and scout system with extra steps from the other games. I really enjoyed this game, I'm glad I got to play it again! To my surprise, the visual novel style cutscenes and CG images better than I thought they would on the Vita, they look better than Cyberdimension's on PS4 Pro. The framerate still chug whenever enemies pop on screen like they do in the beginning of dungeons or during certain EXE attacks. This was probably more acceptable on a portable device in 2014. I am glad that I can get my Hyperdimension fix wherever I go now.
Popular Post Katt
Persona 5 Strikers True Phantom Thief Earned all trophies. The proof that you can do another game without ruining everything. Though... there are several similarities with P5 Royal elements, plot specific elements to be clear. But... oh well. Gameplay is fun as hell and the new music, bosses and locations are refreshing. The grind at the end for BOND points was a fucking nightmare. Why they do this? Anime when?
Popular Post DrunkenEngineer
Platinum #31 - Elden Ring (April 13, 2022) Heralded by massive hype that thankfully lives up to expectations, Elden Ring is a masterclass of third-person action RPGs that builds off the developer's pedigree and delivers an exceptional experience. The Good Open world that rewards exploration, not map icon clearing Voice acting is the best the series has ever had Blue, four armed waifu! Easily accessible for new players The Bad Framerate is a little unstable, even in performance mode Magic builds are much easier than melee (as is tradition), and so of course I would refuse to use them and made the game much harder on myself 100% Impressions The quality of life improvements have made this the best game for new players to jump in. Gone are the punishing upgrade trees (better check the wiki before you invest in that upgrade path!), trap stats, and slogging corpse runs. This is also reflected in the trophy list itself, with very few missables, endings that can be easily save-scummed, and a complete lack of grinding. And it's truly a relief that the game does not suffer one bit for these streamlining efforts. As I first emerged from the tutorial zone a sense of overwhelming came over me. "This map is big, I can't believe they made a Souls game that is open world!" I thought. Surely this zone contains all the game's content, right? As I progressed, it just became bigger and bigger, more and more maps and paths opening up. The last game I had a similar sense of wonderment at exploring was Skyrim, all the way back in 2011. Point yourself in a direction and you'll find something interesting. Bosses, however, were a bit of a mixed bag. There seemed to be a great dichotomy in difficultly between two buckets - mandatory bosses (manageable, could also be called easy), optional bosses (much more difficult). Which makes sense given the more accessible nature over previous Souls games. It could also be a function of class build and overall level when attempting certain bosses. Since this is largely open world you can tackle a lot of the bosses in any order you want. If I found myself hitting my head against a certain boss (damn you Valiant Gargoyles!) I was better served by coming back later, wiser and at a greater level, and hopefully smashing them to bits. I did dabble with the guides a little bit, to at least keep myself covered on the missable trophies, mostly setting up the various endings so I could tackle this in one playthrough. It took me 95 hours to complete, which seems about average from what I can tell. I didn't notice any obvious hooks for DLC, but I'd buy it regardless! Rise, Tarnished!
Popular Post Phoenix_argentea
Platinum trophy No. 251! Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knight End When I saw a retail version of this game I decided it was time to add it into my collection! This is a very good metroidvania game, which seems quite similar to other games I've already played, like Hollow Knight or Salt and Sanctuary. Nothing is missable, so you can freely explore the world, pick up every item you can find during your run, and come back when you have the proper abilities. The story is quite dark but also interesting: a girl who can save the world form some kind of "curse". She cannot fight, but she can evoke spirits who can fight and protect her, and you can find more of them during the game. Since it is a metroidvania game, the map is really useful, because the different colors refer to a complete room, so you can forget about it and move on, but the art of the map is quite ugly. I didn't want a huge wallpaper, but a couple of drawing around the squares in order to find the different areas of the game, like the catacombs, the village, etc. The soundtrack is also really good, with a lot of piano tracks. My favourite is the one of the village, since it's quite melancholic. But the Julius' fight was really epic, and I already knew it when I heard the first notes of the piano... Too bad that the final boss was really boring. The final area of the game was the "hardest" area of the game, where I died so many times, simply because this area is full of poisonous gas and huge (and annoying) enemies which can kill you in 2-3 hits. But the "true" final area was a littel bit scary, especially with the music (where you can hear breaths. Play this at 1 am and you can start panicking! ) Finally, the platinum screenshot (in this area) after having collected the final relic (which you receive it after the two endings: B and C)

Popular Post SIick_50_
Plat # 86 Batman Arkham Knight One of my all time favorite games. The story and dialogue is so deep and well thought out. Combat is by far the most fun and experimental out of any of the Arkham games. The graphics are superb and the Plat is a challenging but extremely rewarding experience. You want too 100% everything. The post game is arguably more enjoyable than the story and everything about the game as a whole is done amazingly. Enjoyment 9/10

Popular Post FFATMA
#77 Blacksmith of the Sand Kingdom PS4 It's a pretty simple game with a fairly easy daily loop, but it has an addicting quality to it. You're a person who inherited your father's smithy and you spend your time fighting and gathering resources in dungeons, fighting in the arena and then crafting weapons, armor and various commodities. Then you end the day by opening your shop and selling stuff that you've listed. You get to gear up your team and choose classes and subclasses for each person. There's something like 10-15 classes and each has skills that you can level up. It took me about 25 hours to get the platinum and I liked it enough that I immediately fired up the PS5 version. Fun: 8/10 Challenge: 2/10 - No missable trophies, the bosses at the end do take a bit of prep but aren't bad once you're ready.
Popular Post Moridin83
#205 SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Number one of a twofer. Recent PS Plus title cleanup. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this game. If you're of a certain age, SpongeBob was fun regardless, and this was a pretty well done 3d collection platformer. It didn't overstay it's welcome, and I only had one or two really frustrating spatulas. As a free game, it's definitely a thumbs up. #206 Concrete Genie Another (older) PS Plus title. Also an easy plat, and a very pretty game. It's not particularly involved, but it's a nice change of pace title. One warning for completionists though, the plat is obtainable with no extra equipment, but you need PS VR to get the 100%. If that matters to you, be warned.
Popular Post bbaauuiiss97
#1171 Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Been looking forward to playing this for a while now and it did not disappoint ? I did feel like the adaptive trigger use was pretty redundant though, a half press is either just a weaker fire mode you'd never want to use or simply just aiming which you can do with L2 anyways, so I ended up swapping back to L1 and R1 for aim and shoot like I am used to fairly quickly cx
