RedRodriguez87
#379: Marlinspike's heir Another real fun movie game, again leading me to believe that they never deserved the bad rap they got. As one might guess, its getting harder to find physical PS3 games, so I kinda got lucky with this one at a pawn shop. I was put off by the challenges supposedly being difficult, but I again was underestimating myself, because nothing about them was terribly taxing. Yes, it does involve skill and practice, but nothing controller throwing. The rest of the game comes fairly straightforward, simple, and most of all fun semi-puzzle action platformer. I definitely gotta check out the movie one day. Heck, maybe I'll seek out the other regions of this game. Maybe.
Popular Post Viscera1900
#336 - Elden Ring Elden Ring "Obtained all trophies" Enjoyment: 10/10 Difficulty: 6/10 Completion time: 70 hours / 1 month, 1 week (PSNP) Took me longer than I expected, since I've been busy, but that didn't keep me from playing this masterpiece whenever I had free time. The first 10-15 hours of this game felt overwhelming, since it's a open world RPG game and you can choose how to tackle this game; explore every nook and cranny to find loots (weapons and armors) or just focus on the main path. Whenever I entered a new region: I tried to fully explore it and fight every bosses I can find before moving on the main path. I started as Samurai class and used Uchikatana whole way through the game. Later I replaced it with Moonveil katana as my primary weapon (for stronger weapon skill/art) and decided to dual wield both katanas I have. Mimic Tear ashen remains truly saved my skin from some of the late/end game bosses and I can see why FromSoftware decided to nerf it a bit. The game truly felt fun and awesome when I hit 20 hours mark on my save file; I had the necessary weapons, armors and resources to tackle most of challenges and roadblocks that came before me. Trophy wise it's one of the least time consuming Soulsborne game to complete, since it doesn't require you to obtain every kind of weapons, armors, talismans, sorceries and incantations; just the legendary ones. You get 90% of trophies from defeating major bosses which is very standard requirement for every Soulsborne game. Overall I absolutely enjoyed my journey in Elden Ring; it has very addictive gameplay loop, combat is very fun and conquering some of big bad bosses made me feel really awesome and rewarding. At the moment it's my favorite Soulsborne game I've played; I have yet to play Dark Souls 1-3 and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.

Popular Post Jelloycat
Platinum #99: Neptunia x Senran Kagura: Ninja Wars A crossover game with two franchises I quite like? Definitely was excited to check this one out, and it was a lot of silly fun. The Yomi Training at the end definitely had some difficult parts, especially compared to some other Neptunia and Senran Kagura games, but I was able to beat it after a few tries and rearranging my spirit gems. Now to think of what platinum to go for for #100!
Popular Post StrayEidolon
Platinums #122 - 124: Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition Grand Theft Auto III As fun as I remember it being! Claude, top tier gaming mute, never looked cooler. In fact his character model looks miles better than the one he has in San Andreas definitive edition… First time seeing the ending! When I was younger, I gave up on one of the last missions where you had to destroy fake coffee stalls across the entire city within a time limit. Decades later I finally have closure. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City I’ve never played this before and have always heard great things. I was a bit sceptical to start off with but it really is as good as people say it is. Loved the movie references, the music and simply the whole vibe of the game. Tommy Vercetti is awesome and now I can see it’s a shame it never worked out with Ray Liotta so that Tommy could show up in San Andreas. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas This one is still my favourite GTA of ‘em all. So much to do! Excellently designed and varied missions, both for the story and side content. Plenty of customisation. Samuel L Jackson. Etc. I know this trilogy and GTAIV&V are set in different universes but I always wished CJ made some sort of an appearance in GTA V. It’s sad to see the Ballas occupying Grove Street in GTA V. - - - I’ve had my fair share of bugs. GTA3 was mostly fine. Vice City had cops teleporting to my car door & instantly arresting me on more than one occasion. (One time I was up on a rooftop too!) Meanwhile San Andreas had it the worst. It turned into a slideshow multiple times, parked cars would over-spawn and explode, random helicopters were flying in the ground with only the rotor poking out spinning, and more. All 3 games had issues keeping vehicles saved in the garages for me. San Andreas is also much easier than I remember it being. I was shocked to have done Zero’s RC plane mission on the first try this time around. I’ve heard that this trilogy is based on mobile ports, so it would make sense if the difficulty feels dumbed down. Regardless, it’s been a blast revisiting these games and was well worth it. I’ll definitely play them again someday. There’s always the PS4 versions to platinum after all..!

Popular Post rjkclarke
Platinum #351 LEGO DC Super-Villains (PS4) Here's to Mischief Collect all the trophies It seems that I never go all that long without adding another LEGO game to my collection – for me, they really scratch that itch of mindless fun. They have always been something I’ve always enjoyed playing, the kind of thing that’s a great “go to” when you don’t want to exert too much mental energy. Released in 2019 and as usual developed by Traveller’s Tales, LEGO DC Super-Villains contains the same mixture of discrete levels mixed with open world activities you’d come to expect from most Lego games at this point, except this time the exclusive gameplay focus is on the extensive DC villain roster, due to the absence of the Justice League the DC villains are forced to take the Hero role, in an interesting twist on the Justice/Crime Syndicate storyline. I think my description undersells it a little though – it’s surprising how much the change from a focus on Heroes to Villains actually a makes a pretty substantial difference in keeping the game fresh, and with how formulaic Lego games have become, I’ll absolutely take what I can get. In an interesting twist, one that I think Lego games perhaps ought to experiment with a little more – much of the plot is focused on your own custom character, taking the form of a silent protagonist. It’s a little comparable to how South Park: The Stick of Truth handles the idea, in that the characters sometimes talk as if you’re not there, yet still acknowledge your silence, so you do very much still feel like an integral part of proceedings. I’ve got to praise the game for this, because if you view it in the context of who the game is aimed at – essentially a younger audience, I think that’s a wonderful idea that they get to see the character they created and made their own, be the focus in the cutscenes. Naturally I created myself, but Evil, complete with stereotypical Villain moustache and Monocle, dubbing myself “The ScruffKing.” Well, you’ve got to embrace the fun, right? Visually, Lego DC Super-Villains is quite an attractive game; it’s colourful, bright, and quite varied too. Seeing some of the Legoified designs of famous DC characters and locations can be a real treat. My personal favourite was getting to fly around the Lego version of Smallville. I think I missed a trick by not putting on some Lifehouse, or at least the Smallville mix I have on Spotify whilst doing the open world activities. As a fan of the show Smallville, I must say I thought there was a missed opportunity not to have at least one of the coffee shops called The Talon, as a nice little Easter egg. But as the show has been off the air longer than most of the games target audience has probably been on the planet, I can definitely forgive that. I genuinely laughed out loud the first time I saw Bizarro, he’s almost a perfect Lego approximation, that and the voice felt so true to the character. As much as it pains me to say it, the audio element of LEGO DC Super-Villains is very much a mixed bag. I don’t think there’s a more appropriate description either. The soundtrack itself is mostly forgettable; it does its job well enough, but apart from one or two ambient pieces of music that are really good quality, it doesn’t stand out at all. Let’s be honest though, does it need to? An enjoyable experience is more of a key focus, and I do feel that was provided. The voice acting was probably the standout part of the games audio; it really is incredibly high quality. Just looking at the cast list is an absolute who is who of top quality voice actors. Many of whom are reprising roles they’ve played before, but subtly different for the change in audience age, and I really appreciated that small detail. I bet you’re feeling a “but” coming right? Yes, unfortunately, the sound design itself is offensively bad. Obviously they have the extensive amount of Lego game sound effects at their disposal, those are mostly all good, but the ways some of them are mixed, poorly layered and often looped are not. Sirens and alarms probably being the biggest offender, they’ll pretty much infinitely loop a really ear piercing, grating sound until you interact with something. I genuinely don’t know if the intention was to annoy the player into interacting with something just to make it stop. It got particularly bad in one of the story levels, where I was searching for collectibles in Free Play, and I had to mute my television, for fear of crumpling into a heap on the floor, putting my hands over my ears and proclaiming “SCARY BAD” like Raymond from Rain Man. There isn’t anything particularly groundbreaking or even new as far as the gameplay goes in LEGO DC Super-Villains. Whether that’s a problem, is, I think at least, probably up to the individual. I certainly wouldn’t argue with anyone who said the games can feel a little stale at times, but it’s not something I’m particularly bothered by. I think one of the upsides to playing the Lego games quite extensively is noticing the gradual – and sometimes, not so gradual quality of life improvements and changes. Sometimes these really do go a long way. An example of this is the flight controls on the flying characters; they’re still a little clunky and imprecise however. In this game they’re a lot crisper and feel so much more reactive. In general I think there’s been a deliberate effort to give the player a more cohesive and fluid experience. The biggest example of this is probably in the open world Free Play. If you’re near a puzzle or an activity you need a character with a specific skill for, just bringing up the character menu will nine times out of ten, often take you to a character with the exact abilities you need. It’s a small thing, but it helps. One of the most notable and best quality of life improvements is with the “Challenges.” In LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 I didn’t get on with these, at all. They felt like such unnecessary content padding. They aren’t marked on your map, and they’re incredibly longwinded. LEGO DC Super-Villains alleviated that problem massively by giving each individual component of a challenge its own “riddle” so you can work out for yourself where you need to go. It’s very much like a simplified version of the Arkham series’ Riddler clues. In that same vein collecting Gold Bricks feels a little lengthier, but many of them involve mini-missions and one-time characters that actually make them feel a little more important and memorable, instead of “just something to collect.” So ultimately I think that’s a good implementation. Do I recommend LEGO DC Super-Villains? I think so yes, so long as you don’t go into it expecting it to be some revelatory experience, it isn’t doing anything particularly new, but what new things it does do are noticeable. The trophies are all pretty straightforward too. I did encounter a few more bugs and glitches than I usually seem to in a Lego game, but nothing game breaking. If you want to read about the DLC, I've covered it in my checklist thread, albeit a little briefly (because there's only so much you can say) so if you want to read about that I'll leave a link to it here, just in case. Popular Post Deluziion90
Milestone/Platinum #500! - Nobody Saves The World Nobody saved the worldObtain every Trophy in the game Status post review: Fun: 10/10 Difficulty: 3.5/10 Overal platinum time: ~22hrs in game time. Total time since my first platinum #1 - Horizon Zero Dawn on 3rd Jun 2017 - 5-5-2022 About Nobody Saves the World: Pretty happy with this milestone to be honest. This has to be the most fun I've had so far with an Indie game. From the story till the gameplay everything was just fun to play. Getting all 18 characters maxed out seemed like a pretty big task to start with but there hasn't been a single character that was bad or not fun to play with. The task to level them up were also not to bad and made you play the game in every single way it was meant to. The NG+ trophy seemed pretty bad but even that was a fun ride. The game features 24 dungeons and a final boss and NG+ adds a bunch of "hard mode" debuffs to these dungeons so you'll really have to think which character you need to pick and how to defeat these dungeons. Story wise I just blasted through NG+ and skipped everything and my final time was around 5hrs so nothing to bad. My favorite charactes were the snail, Necromancer and the Bodybuilder. Most overpowered broken character would be the turtle. With the right stats added this guy was unbeatable for pretty much everything the game has to offer. TLDR: FUN~! GO PLAY!

Popular Post s68sc
#100 - Final Fantasy XIII Finally after 2 years no stop of Trophy hunting, i got my 100th platinum trophy in one of my favourite Final Fantasy game ever, don't get me wrong i understand that this game has a lot of flaws and is for sure not the best FF games out here but it still a very good FF game with a pretty decent story, all the character have a mission to do and some of them have gone through really dark time, like Hope and Sazh and i wanna say something about this two characters. Spoiler I found the Hope's mother death, heart breaking because is still a "child" with only one parent even if he has a father, the mother didn't deserve that death and it was only Snow fault, Hope is a shy guy that doesn't have a good relationship with his father. the only thing that really makes him happy was his mother... and they took her away from him, it remind me of my father it was almost dead in a incident and i was crying a lot in that period, i was lucky enough that he still alive but i spent almost 2 month without him and my mental health and self esteem was really degrading... Sazh is father that saw the death of his child (kinda of) so i feel like that he was a completely useless human being, it didn't protect his child because of the bad things that Vanille and Fang did, they tecnically transformed Sazh's child into a Fal'cie... Also i really love Lightning for some reason, and obviously is the Female representation of Cloud from FF VII (at least for me) Yes the game was in English but my platinum trophy was in italian because i'm italian and switch language only for the treasure hunter trophy, is obviously easier to follow a guide when you speak the same language. Platinum Difficulty 3.5/10 - The guide say 5/10 but i think is not that true, is just an easy game with a grindy trophy nothing more Fun 9.5/10 - is not for everyone and i understand why some people can hate this game and hate the combat system, i honestly really love it Next game - The Last Remnant Remastered and FIFA 22 (both PS4 and PS5) Edited May 5, 2022 by s68sc

Popular Post bbaauuiiss97
#1232 and trophy #35,000 Crystar Super straight forward and enjoyable game, all you do is run around in dungeons killing shit, no gimmicks or missables to be concerned with whatsoever, which I can dig ^^ It has a very emotional feel to it as well as the story is rather depressing and in between missions there is even a mechanic to cry to let go of all the emotions you have accumulated. Overall very simple and chill game to play that has some unique and interesting ideas, would heavily recommend this one as long as you don't mind gameplay getting a bit repetitive. Also I just love this platinum image, Thelema best girl and just had to have her in my trophy milestones
Popular Post slender_adrian
- NieR: Automata - #91 Difficulty:3/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 Grind: 1/10 Rarity: Very Rare 8.8% / Uncommon 30.32% Time: 61 Hours "Everything that lives is designed to end." Beautiful, that's the best way I can describe this game... NieR Automata is by far one of the best action rpg games I've played, a beautiful world with one hell of a story, deep and emotive, an impressive soundtrack and of course an amazing cast of characters, can't believe this plat is over it was an incredible journey, 61 hours with this game and they were worth every second! The trophies in this game were pretty easy to get, and it's actually a nice trophy list in my opinion, I liked a lot doing the side quest for this game since they were pretty good I did all of them, and for the grind well it's a bit grindy to be honest, it took a while getting all the pods upgraded but nothing to fancy and surprisingly enough upgrading all weapons to max level didn't take long, I spent more time getting the weapons I missed rather than grinding for materials, doing those side quests really helps haha. For me this was a very chill platinum, I played the game on normal and totally enjoyed, the story, the music, the characters, the flight unit segments, the totally rational conversations of the machines, all of this was amazing, there were some annoying parts like getting Emil spawn on the route I needed haha but that's ok. Totally recommend playing this game! (No trophies bought) All I can say is that NieR Automata left me more broken than one of those hilarious machines.
