Sardavanua
#210 Train Sim World 2020 Time spent: 300h+ Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 Been a long time since my last UR plat, I'm getting old lmao. There's not too much to say about TSW 2020 really. It's a casual train sim that requires some decent commitment, if you want to go for the plat and some ridiculous amount of time, money and willpower, if you're aiming for the 100%. I might be going for the 100% in the next couple of months/years, if I can afford the time that is. Most of the trophies didn't glitch on me and I'm pretty sure that's because I played on PS5 for a large amount of time. On PS4 the trophies seem to pop delayed or just not at all, so I switched to PS5. Runs way better on PS5 anyways. The trophies are overall just a big grindfest, but nothing difficult at all. Even with exploits you'll spend a couple of hundred hours on the base game alone and that's only three routes.

Rapid Transit refuses to unlock and I had issues with multiple DLCs not unlocking too. The GWML I had problems with HST not running at 125mph though the shed (66) even fully loaded with a modal was doing 155mph lmfao. Meant to be limited to 75. I don't know what to tell you tbh. You've probably already read through the multiple threads about the glitched trophies. All I can say is as soon as I switched to PS5 all trophies besides "Big Step" unlocked smoothly. That one popped a couple of hours later iirc. Before unlocking the big ones like "Rapid Transit" or "New Yorker" I switched to offline mode. Never had to create a new profile and I never signed up for the Dovetail account. I also bought the OG version of TSW, before it became TSW 2020. So I only had RT, NYC and GWE available before purchasing DLC. Dunno if that makes any difference. Popular Post Golem25
Platinum #121 - Everybody's Gone To The Rapture This Pattern is Mine - Earn All Trophies. 184,923 Owners - 32,679 Achievers for a percentage of 17.67% (average completion; 23.44%) Enjoyment; 3/10 Difficulty; 1/10 Trophies; 5 (tiles are nice but this is essentially a collect-a-thon with some stupid misc. Trophies) What do the numbers mean, Stephen; 10/10 Right, uh, Everybody's Gone To The Rapture. Yeah. Gee. A walking sim from 2015 developed by an English indie studio and published by Sony, free with PS Plus in November 2016, and currently included with PS Now. I had this on my wishlist for ages intending to buy it, waiting for a pricedrop to five EUR (every recent sale it only went to ten), so when I stacked Now in advance of PS Premium, I suddenly had the opportunity to play this without buying it. And, uh, I am glad I did, because this was absolutely not enjoyable and I would have regretted financially rewarding the devs for it - or the owner of the studio anyway, who fired all their staff after release. To be fair, the game was on a hiding to nothing from the start with me. I have been forced to live in the United Kingdom for almost three years now, will likely be here for another six or seven, and I fucking hate it. So, a game set in a fictional part of the county Shropshire in the 1980's was never going to appeal to me that much. But then when you add in the fact that the 'gameplay' consists of you walking around in first person at a snail's pace, trying to find random clues that tell the ambiguous story in a piecemeal manner, you have a rather dreadful experience. The plot is essentially this; small town, closed off from the rest of the world, and there's not a single soul around. There are floating lights which transform into holograms of people and events that transpired previously, and it's up to you to hobble around and try to make sense of the plot. Not to save people, or change the outcome of matters, or anything of consequene. Nah man, just walk around, look at some books and maps, watch the weird holograms, and then the game ends. That does admittedly go hand-in-hand with the walking sim genre, so in the end I got what I paid subscribed for. The story is not particularly interesting, doesn't have any kind of resolution or even interesting beats to pick up on as you go along, and left me with a feeling of having seen and experienced very little indeed across the 6 or so hours spent running around the admittedly pretty but ultimately pointless map. Trophy-wise you're essentially looking for collectibles 90% of the time, with each tidbit of story conveniently being a collectible as well. But you don't ever pick anything up, you just need to look at things. But with absolutely no progress tracker, there's no way of telling whether something registered correctly, so for each map, drawing, book, caravan, etc. I'd just stare at it for a while from multiple angles. Truly riveting stuff. Don't buy this game. Don't play it if you're subbed to Now. Don't play it if it ends up in the PS Plus collection. Just don't bother. Unless you really want to wind down with a completely effortless Plat, or just really like walking sims. I'm gonna continue to play something a little more difficult and a little less cerebral now.

Popular Post Moridin83
#209 Dirt 5 I have some feelings about this game, but I'm not sure what they are. On the one hand, it's bright, colorful, very pretty to look at, and doesn't have the overblown story most other arcade racers do (Cough, NFS, cough). On the other hand, the rubberbanding is atrocious, the soundtrack, while decent, is way too small, there aren't enough different track for the number of events they have, and some of the vehicles you're forced to use for certain events (mainly Gymkhana) are terrible. As a free game, I did have fun with it, and I will probably even grab the DLC, if it's ever ~75% off. #210 Death's Door This one plays similar to the older Zelda titles, albeit, somewhat more difficult. Progression is fairly linear, with backtracking whenever you get a new magic, as is usual for the genre. The game doesn't overstay it's welcome, and collectibles are minimized. The one negative is the trophy for beating the whole game with the weakest weapon. You have to choose between one playthrough, using a weapon that's not much fun, and not experiencing any other weapons, or a second playthrough solely for this trophy, as you'll have everything else after your first run. All in all, not a huge negative though, and a fun little title.

The DLC was on sale back in March, that's when I got the 100%, and I'm afraid to say it's no better, so much of it continues to repeat tracks you've already played a dozen times in the main game. My most recent, #604: Darkwood My 7th ultra rare plat of 2022. Most I've ever got in a year is 8 so well on course to beat that. This was my second time through the Darkwood and this time (NA version) I was the fastest achiever. If you enjoy atmospheric horror then you need to play this game, it is incredible. I don't find a lot of horror games scary but Darkwood is up there with Subnautica for an experience that genuinely had me on edge while exploring. The claustrophobic feeling of the darkness around you, the immaculate sound design, the subtle visual trickery; all lends itself to causing paranoia and panic. Not so bad the second time through but it still had enough randomness to surprise me a few times.

Popular Post mr_enigma26
Bioshock Remastered Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 Very late to the party on this game. Overall I did enjoy it despite some few technical hiccups even though this is a remaster. Trophy list is pretty straight forward though the collectibles I found a bit annoying, having a guide does help. Only trophy I found was tedious and irritating was the PhD one. From a narrative standpoint stopping to take pictures multiple times over and over again while being pummled, set on fire, and riddled with bullets was kind of silly. The fun aspect really is using the plasmids that suit your style, and the shooting is adequate considering how old the game is. Overall I’m glad I played a classic and it’s a short game that you could complete in a relatively short amount of time. Popular Post Celestial_Lily
Platinum #95 - Hot Wheels Unleashed (PS5) Fun: 5/10 Difficulty: 4/10 Time taken: 30~ hours, I think? Been a long time since I've written a tiny post-plat review! I'd had my eye on this since it came out, but hearing about the currency grind in game kind of kept me away till a decent sale appeared. And then it did! - I can't say I fully enjoyed my time with it. The physics are very unique and particular to ✨chaos✨ when it felt so inclined. Drifting took a while to get used to, with it somehow having a worse tap-to-drift system than the most recent Need for Speed games >.< The tracks were cool though! Some truly were hella trippy as you drove through, though I wish more were creative and didn't just devolve into lengthening it out as much as possible. Earlier races were shorter, but no less fun, whereas the later half of the campaign really pushed the 2min+ lap races and made it a drag, seeing the same level I've just spent twenty minutes working on in a time trial reused immediately after for a 6min+ race. The AI is atrocious, I'm sorry to say. Easy is too easy, Medium will eat you alive lest you have at least a Legendary car for the stats, and Hard+ requires perfection in a game supposed to about fun toy cars and wacky tracks. Soo in short! It was fun, for a bit, in short bursts. Anything more kind of hurt my brain and really made me notice the lack of quality of life things/standard racing game things such as a Best Lap tracker, or racing splits. I'd recommend it on at least a 50% sale, and if you are into the whole Hot Wheels thing/wacky track layouts that go upside down. Thanks for reading Lily's Post-Plat review! ? PS: Multiplayer is basically chaos incarnate omg. Truly the wild west of 12 people ramming into each other and physics breaking as people spin off the track and you get yeeted into oblivion, thus forcing you to reset/end up at the back of the pack for the entire race ?

Popular Post ViKed_
MULTIPLE GAMES PLATINUM #111 [Horizon Forbidden West] - PS5 A tech marvel bursting with numerous quality of life improvements over its predecessor. PLATINUM #112, #113 [SIFU] - PS5 and PS4 Done on disciple(original) difficulty. This game is Sekiro with Kung fu and I LOVE IT. It is exactly what I was craving for. A rush of adrenaline as you phase and dodge like you're in Dbz, not giving them a moment's peace. 10/10 PLATINUM #114 [A Plague Tale: Innocence] - PS5 Visually gorgeous and a captivating setting but it suffers from having the most frustrating encounters ever put in a video game.
