Popular Post kkulifay
Viking Legend (Platinum) It took me 128 hrs and I enjoyed every minute of it! Looked stunning on the PS5 on 4K when I was collecting the 784 various items and activities scattered throughout this ginormous sandbox. Settled for the 30 fps during this Quality graphics setting because I really wanted to immerse myself in the gorgeous details; from the vista views to the vivid foliage, there is a lot to marvel at. During the story missions, I would revert back to 60fps since those missions were more combat-focused. I noticed a huge difference with the higher frame rate, especially when you’re raiding villages. Overall, I really really enjoyed getting this plat. Halfway down this journey, I thought I would want to take a break after getting the platinum. Nope! I’m already dialed in on Season One’s DLC and still can’t stop thinking about it. Edited May 13, 2022 by kkulifay

Popular Post Moridin83
# 211 Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth A nice, densely packed Metroidvania. It contains almost zero fluff, and backtracking is not particularly onerous. Trophy wise, one playthrough and a boss rush and you're good to go. If you know Record of Lodoss War, you'll get a little more out of the game, but it's not at all necessary to have a good time. Maybe wait for a sale though if you're not a huge fan, $25 at regular price is a little steep for the amount of time you'll get from this one.

Popular Post Katt
Metro Exodus (PS4) Platinum Trophy Get all Trophies. Well, that's it. The end of the line. The world of Metro is a fantasy one, but it's based on something that could happen, and that's the part where we should be scared. I'm going to read the books now. Spoiler A Sam spin-off in America would be awesome. Now, the bad things: my god this game is so badly optimized. It's nuts. In the previous Metro games I would sip from my drink and the load's done. Now I can prepare a whole menu before it loads. But considering what's happening over there, I hope everyone is safe before I can ask for more.

The DLC that was released in 2022 added 60 more skill point requirements raising the cap necessary to get the first mastery point (535 skill points to be exact) That was the last trophy I needed and explains why it took me longer to plat. Overall, Valhalla is very easy, it will jist monopolize all of your free time lol. Nothing in this game was difficult. I have not played Origins or Elden Ring yet, but I’m sure others can chime in who’ve played them all. Edited May 12, 2022 by kkulifay

Popular Post Redgrave
#246: King of the Wasteland - Wasteland 2 Another game that I started and couldn't get into so I dropped it for a while and decided to pick it up again. I think what put me off from it the first time was I wasn't really used to CRPG type games and so I think playing Divinity probably helped me pick it up again. Another thing that put me off was one of the early areas in the game called AG Center that just felt like a slog to get through and even on replay it kind of was but it wasn't as bad. The only other thing was I found the combat to be kind of basic since nothing about it really changes after starting the game so I didn't really find it too engaging. But I think after giving it another try I warmed up to it more to where I was more engaged with it since like I said I think playing Divinity probably helped with that. I still think the beginning of the game is really slow but once you get past the AG Center the game starts to pick up and when you get to the second map of the game in California it gets really good and I felt a lot more engaged with the setting and the factions that inhabit it. My understanding from what I briefly read (I could be wrong but I'm just going off what I saw a couple people say) was that Chris Avellone mainly got involved when they started California and so that's why it kicks up when you get there. So once the game picks up I felt like I was affecting the world in some way and I like the thing about how the Rangers are trying to bring law and order back to the wasteland. Overall the setting feels like a somewhat more grounded Fallout but without the "World of Tomorrow" type technology and somewhat more crude humor which I felt was fine because it wasn't distracting. If anything, I would love to explore Wasteland's setting in a sandbox RPG game since there was a lot that left to the imagination. When it came to playing the combat again I still didn't find it too great but that doesn't mean it's bad even if I did wish it was kind of like Divinity's combat. Beyond all that there is some jank to the game and it's prone to crashing especially in California for some reason to the point where I would save before leaving an area because I felt like there was a 50/50 chance that it would just crash. I actually had it crash during the final battle which really sucked because in that fight for a trophy you have to protect a pretty weak NPC in an already tough battle, so I had to do the final battle twice. That said I think the story and setting make up for these things and I really do like all the different factions and the questlines once you get to California. I assume that Wasteland 3 solves most if not all these issues since it looks like it's of higher budget. The trophy list isn't that bad despite the Platinum being Ultra Rare (I know there are different regions but still) since I think the only thing to really be worried about is collecting all the lore books which a guide helps with. I did have a scare for one trophy because it involved resolving a quest peacefully and none of my characters had a high enough Smart-Ass skill so I had to go level up more to resolve it but I guess I was worried because I thought the quest might have been timed for some reason and I didn't want to go out of order from the guide. I'm glad I gave the game another chance since now I feel like I can appreciate it better even if there are some things about it that I'm still not very keen on but it makes me look forward to playing Wasteland 3 more now.

Popular Post sona_11
#119 HACK//G.U. LAST RECODE King of The World Enjoyment : 4.5/10 Platinum : 4/10 Oh boy do I have a lot to say about this game but since I love to keep things brief, I'll just mention the things that annoyed me the most. First, I had to say that this game has the ugliest characters design I've ever seen aside from the protag. (there I said it) So the story is basically about a character who haven't touched the grass in a while is obsessed with an online game and spend unhealthy amount of time playing it. Problems happen in this online game and for some reason he feels responsible to solve all the game's problems! Oh yeah and the developers of the online game can't fix them too... wow The problem with this game is that I doesn't know how to explain its story. As much as I hate SAO, it actually explains to the viewer how the story works inside and outside of the online game. Their mind is inside of the game because of the VR and outside of the game you can't plug out the VR because they'll die instantly; Clear enough for me! But this game doesn't explain anything to you and want you desperately to care about the characters that you can barely relate to. Like in the game they FEEL everything that happen inside the game like if there is glitch or something but then they procced to show you that a character is playing the game while he's in the hospital !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Like do they use PC ? VR ? Phone ? Gaming console ? I have no idea ! As in most Japanese media (anime and games) you can't have a story without an annoying female plot device, am I right? This PD was so cringe and cliché the whole time she appeared on screen and the "please notice me" and "you should love me" attitude didn't help at all and made her even more annoying and pathetic than she already is. And the thing I find hilarious about her story is that she has a strict parents but then they make her spend unhealthy amount of time playing online game !!! I reached a stage where I couldn't bother to watch all the cut-scenes, and I couldn't count how much I rolled my eyes or yell at the screen just to be done with whatever things they were doing. The fact that the characters see this game as if it's more important than real life and care about it is beyond me! and it's funny because the problems they have will disappear if they you know .... just stop playing the game ? Probably the only thing that I was able to care about was the protag. because of his voice actor who made him more interesting. 75% of the game is only a filler and the 25% is the actually story. The game force to you do some boring side quests (that is repeated in every Volume) for no reason just to make you feel that the game is long. They only give you 5 levels/dungeons that you need to play over and over and over and over again and all the volumes and expect you to not complain. And with each volumes the same dungeon that you did a hundred of times become longer and you need 25 minutes to just finish ONE dungeon !!! Honestly the moment you see the trophy list you will realize that the game has nothing to offer since most of the trophies require you to do this or that a hundreds of time for no particular reason! The gameplay was beyond boring since it only consist of pressing and repeat. There is a bar that you can fill to unleash your ultimate power but it only one button press and there are skills that you can use once in a blue moon and you gotta wait for it to recharge for some reason! Maybe the game was a hit during its time, but it didn't age well imo Do I recommend it ? if it's cheap and ur not interested in trophies than yeah maybe, but if ur not then no

Popular Post Pistol_WhippedXG
Platinum #3 Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered When I first started it, I thought it was kind of overrated, but that was just me struggling to get used to the controls. This is the first Spiderman game I've played extensively. After a while, I got really into it, the story was gripping which is what kept me going early, and then the controls finally clicked and I was having a blast. While I still think the combat is a bit more solid in the Arkham games, there is no denying that beating up criminals is a ton of fun here. There definitely could have been more variety with enemy types, as it stands, they mostly feel like reskins for each faction, minus Sable who are the most interesting albeit the most difficult. The story in this game is what seals the deal for me though, it's just so well written and the cutscenes look phenomenal. I've seen videos of the PS4 version of Peter, and I definitely have to say, the PS5 version looks way better and matches the voice a lot better. Unfortunately, the clean up after you beat the story is meh. It doesn't do much to feel different from other open world games, which is a formula I'm just tired of in general. Swinging around the city is great fun, but the actual map activities aren't all that great or unique. The bases can be fairly fun, and taskmaster's challenges are cool, but the rest feel like a chore, especially the crimes! Who thought 20 crimes per district would be fun? Still with great combat, and an incredible story, I'd say it was a worthwhile platinum! I also did the dlcs and title updates as I prefer 100% for my games when possible. The NG+ was the worst of it, just because I'm not a big fan of replaying games, regardless of how much I enjoyed them. However, it wasn't that bad since it had been a few months since I beat the story. The City That Never Sleeps on the other hand is a perfect addition to the game. I didn't expect much since most dlc tends to be lazy, but Insomniac came through with some great stuff. Combining all 3 episodes, there's around 7 hours of extra story content, plus another few hours of clean up. The clean up wasn't as bad since there was only 20 in each dlc. I also enjoyed the screwball challenges a lot, I was surprised to see that people generally didn't care for them. Overall, this game was definitely worth completing, and I look forward to the sequel, but in the meantime...Platinum #4 Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales I enjoyed Spider-Man so much that I decided to jump right into Miles Morales after and get that platinum! I think they definitely made some big improvements on the formula, specifically with the crimes and activities. The open world still had plenty to collect, but it didn't feel as exhausting as the original, mostly due to the crimes no longer being tied to every district. This game is also quite a bit shorter, but the NG+ is required for platinum here, whereas it was a title update trophy in the original. I managed the first playthrough and a good chunk on clean up in one sitting, had a good day to forget any responsibilities, that was nice. The next day I finished the rest of the clean up in only around 3 hours. I liked the challenges once again, though I felt they were way too easy, I earned Ultimate on all of them, while barely trying. I'm surprised that's not a trophy considering how easy it is. The boss fights in this one were a little more enjoyable, but I think that more comes to Miles next Venom abilities, which just makes combat in general a bit more fun. Miles doesn't get nearly the amount of gadgets that Pete has, but his bio-electricity makes up for it. I also liked the ability to handle bases completely with stealth, whereas you could only do the first wave before they were automatically alerted in the original. The story is great here as well, though not to the level of the original, but still a lot of fun to play through. NG+ was pretty quick to clean up, but since I just did the story a couple days before, it wasn't as fun. Also there's some really odd choices on what cutscenes are skippable and which aren't. There's some really long ones that you can't skip at all, which is a bit annoying when you're just trying to beat the game again for the trophy. It seems like the game was built with the intention to have players go through NG+, considering the final upgrades are all locked behind it, so making really long unskippable cutscenes is a bit baffling. Overall, this is still worth earning the platinum, it's a great game, but I wouldn't suggest doing NG+ immediately unless you don't mind replaying games.

Overall I enjoyed this game, though there were a few features I didn't really see the point of. (ie: I don't think farming really needed to be included or added much to the game.) There was definitely quite a bit of grinding as well, but I didn't mind most of it. Once you get into the hang of it, it's a pretty relaxing game.

Popular Post Theladozz
#87 Aiyoku no Eustia Spoiler Description After the world's surface broke down, the city of Novus Aether floats in the sky, thanks to the prayers of the Holy Maiden. Unfortunately, due to the interruption of the prayer, the "Gran Forte" occurred, causing a part of the ground to collapse and splitting the lower city in two. In time, the lowest layer became the dwelling of all kinds of low-lives, people who lost much of their former lives during the "Gran Forte," becoming known as the "Prison." However, a contagious disease that causes people to grow wings has spread throughout the city. A special unit has been formed to deal with these people swiftly. In this "Prison" resides Caim Astraea, a freelance ex-assassin who does odd jobs for his friends for money, refusing jobs that require him to kill people. During one request, Caim finds a girl who contracts the wing-disease, enveloped in a light that reminds Caim of the "Gran Forte" years ago... This VN is simultaneously one of the best I've ever read and probably the most frustrating one. It has a really interesting route structure where the heroine routes come one after the other as chapters and if you don't get romantically involved with the main heroine of the chapter, the story continues towards the true (Eustia) end. Otherwise each heroine has their short ending that diverges from the main route. With each chapter new revelations are made and the stakes become higher as the story progresses. I loved this structure and even though it's dangerous cause you have to read all heroine chapters to get the full story, it works out because all of the heroines in this game are great (there are 5 of them, in chapter order: Fione, Eris, Colette & Lavi, Licia, Eustia). So great in fact that I've felt really bad every time the protagonist turned down a heroine while going for the true route, especially since in many cases you turn them down when they need you the most. And let me tell you, it's not worth it. The true route of this VN is really emotionally taxing and not even because of the ending, but mainly because of the protagonist being a complete ass. Major spoilers ahead but I need to vent a bit Spoiler I already started to dislike the MC in the second chapter (Eris's chapter), when he kept literally running away from her even though it was obvious that she has really deep mental issues and just kept repeating the same dumb thing that she should just be free (4Head). He also really likes to preach in the Collett and Licia routes but there it didn't bother me that much. However in the true route he became almost unbearble. His brother is I guess a very well written character cause I absolutely despise him (I'm sure this was the wirters intention) even though he is not really an antagonist, but a cold calculated man capable of sacrificing anything to make the most number of ppl survive. And after all the preaching in the previous routes the protagonist is suddenly incapable of making decisions and can not stand up to his brother even though he knows full well how much suffering Tia goes thorugh. He also keeps all his old friends in the dark basically pushing everyone away like why??? Why keep being a yesman for his dipshit brother while he's causing new grand falls, overthrows Licia and wants to use Tia as a power source? He is not even capable of at least visiting Tia regularly. I started to sympathize with Gilbert, the antagonist from the 4th chapter (Princess Licia's chapter), as that was a man who knew what he wanted. He said fuck you all, fuck this city, all I want is use the angel's power to resurrect my lover. That's what I wanted the protagonist to do as well, if I have to sacrifice Tia to save it, then fuck all this. And he actually comes to this conclusion in the end but it took way too long. It sucks that Eustia is the only one who has no good ending, at least the protagonist should have died with her when she made the ultimate sacrifice, or even better, she should not have saved them and everyone should have died when the city fell. It's also weird that there was no afterstory, I really wanted to know what happened to Licia since she surrendered to the revolution, and also to Colette as the starter of the revolution and now that everyone knew that the Holy Maiden is not the one keeping the city afloat. Well anyways I'm sure I'll remember this VN for a very long time. It's a great mix of mystery, drama, political maneuvering and classism with really memorable characters.
