Popular Post Boomshanks
( 78) DEAD SPACE 3 BRAVE NEW WORLD Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 6/10 Another platinum I’m really proud of. I played the first two Dead Space games with a friend on his account and they are both masterpieces in my opinion. I distinctly remember being happy that he had the controller on a few of the more scary sections. I can’t wait for the Dead Space remake on PS5. And we get Calisto Protocol as well. Score ! Dead Space 3 is the game where the series started to falter. We bought it because it had co-op and we had some fun with it, but it certainly wasn’t as good as the other two. The horror is scaled down a lot. Especially when playing in co-op, the game really isn’t that scary. After completing the game and finishing all of the side missions, we never touched it again. But in an effort to clear my PS3 backlog I decided to finally finish it. And that meant completing the game a total of 3 more times. Hooray for me! The other playthroughs are definitely interesting. I started with the Pure Survival run where you don’t get any medpacks and ammo but have to craft everything. Then I did the Classic run where you can’t craft anything and can only use weapons from the previous games. And finally the Hardcore run in which a death will wipe your savefile. There is a glitch where you can use an overpowered weapon in every game mode, but I decided to do them all legit. Somehow the Hardcore Run was the easiest out of all three, even though they are all on Hard difficulty. I only died two times in the entire game, though I had backed up my save on a USB file so I never lost that much progress. The mechanics of Dead Space itself are still very solid and the gunplay is good. What I hate about the game is how they decided to make it an action game and the way they did that is by throwing a stupid amount of enemies at you at all times and pumping their speed up to 11. All the while Isaac moves like molasses. Dead Space used to be about slow encounters with strategic dismemberment, but in this game when you take the legs off the enemies somehow become even faster. Dead Space 3 also has some incredibly frustrating enemy placement such as when opening doors or when hacking a machine during which you can´t see your environment or after a while just continuously having them spawn directly behind you. Not fun . From chapter 14 onward the game is just massive battle after massive battle and any semblance of a horror game is lost. It’s cool that you can craft your own weapons, but the cost of doing so is too high and there isn’t a way to test the weapon which you are making. If you make a bad weapon you can put yourself in a really bad spot and it all feels accidental. On the other hand, having the right weapon can completely break the game and make it far too easy. The story is also very poor. What Dead Space needs is definitely not a forced love triangle and Norton is such a comically black-and-white character that you can’t take any of it seriously. It’s also funny how your co-op partner Carver just suddenly appears out of nowhere in cutscenes when you’re playing solo. Finally the human encounters are terrible. When playing Dead Space, I want to fight Necromorphs. Fighting against other humans just emphasizes how the mechanics of Dead Space are really not made for encounters like this. This is not Call of Duty . All in all, I think the thing that best summarizes the game is missed potential. The foundations of Dead Space itself are good, but it’s like every decision they made for this game was the wrong one. The setting on the ice planet Tau Volantis is cool but very underused and the Snow Beast has to be one of the most annoying bosses of all time. And you have to fight him three times! Trophywise, with all the different and difficult playthrough it is a game I’m very proud of platinuming though. And hopefully I’ll be able to add Dead Space 1 and 2 to my account on PS5 one day. Popular Post reaperveteran86
Platinum #273 (plus 100% DLC) Lego Marvel`s Avengers Peace In Our Time - 23,56% Your typical Lego game, this time with the Marvel license (but only for the films, so no X-men, Fantastic Four, Deadpool or Punisher in this one). Although they improve things like the flying controls and performance (I had 0 "an error had occured" messages in this one, compared to the first Superheroes game that showed me that message regulary when I traveld between the Helicarrier and Manhattan), I think I liked the first Superheroes more. It felt more complete than this one. Platinum #274 (plus 100% DLC) Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories Memories of Summer - 20,34% I loved the first game on the PS2, and this one plays (and looks?) similar to that game. The game is not for everyone, and searching for the next story trigger can be a bit of a chore at times, but the characters and their stories made it all worth it in my opinion. Most of the things that happened from Day 3 onward are the embodiement of the "That escalated quickly" Meme. Needles to say I liked it quite a lot. Platinum #275 Lonely Mountains: Downhill Master of the Lonely Mountains - 6,84% A moment of silent please for the little mountain biking avatar, who crashed a total of 10967 times (most of them were lethal), but through the power of "Go Next" (yes we watched Ina`s Elden Ring streams while playing, which, in hindsight, could be a reason for the number of crashes) we managed to get the platinum Togethaaa. Jokes aside, it is a really fun mountainbiking game (something like Trials with isometric view and realistic levels). I will go for the DLC trophies to, but the latest patch leaked a possible new trail so I eventually wait with the 100% completion until they released this new track.

Popular Post Viper
#279 Terminator: Resistance Enhanced No Problemo This game was way more fun than it had any business being. So on the surface this comes off like a very cheap cash in on the license. It plays like a PS3 FPS game and looks like a cross between Metro and Fallout. So much so, that it even has that camera zoom in effect you see in Fallout and Elder Scrolls when you talk to an NPC (then their mouths don't move right when they talk). But underneath that dated layer is a very fun, very good Terminator game. Frankly this is probably what Terminator: Salvation (the movie) should have been. It ignores all the movies after T2 and sets us in 2028 during the final months of the War, you play as a Resistance soldier named Jacob Rivers, who finds out he was "Marked for Termination" by Skynet after an Infiltrator unit wipes out his entire squad and has to uncover why that is, while working with civilians who are just trying to survive. The gameplay, at least on PS5, is super solid. You have a mild RPG system in place to upgrade as you level up which always felt intuitive enough that I hit the right level when I needed to. You get new and better weapons as you progress which can then be upgraded to make them more powerful. Although once you get the Plasma weapons (the ones Terminators use), the regular weapons are completely useless. You do have to play the game a bit defensively...it's not a run and gun shooter as T-800's will completely tear you to shreds in a matter of seconds...I died quite a bit, even on normal, so cover and medkits were my best friends. The story is really good, but the voice acting does leave a lot to be desired. The game also utilizes the Bethesda style lock pick mechanic, where you have to turn a pick just right and if you fail too much it breaks. Not a big deal to most, but I still absolutely HATE this mechanic...I don't like it in Bethesda RPG's, and I don't like it here. The Frogger style hacking mechanic was more fun. Also the PS5 version has the added Infiltrator Mode which adds 2 trophies the PS4 version doesn't have. In this mode you play as the Infiltrator from the story in the period before he finds Rivers squad. In this, you have to gather intel and kill an informant, but you can't save and it has to all be done in 1 run. If you get killed then you have to start over. But it's easy enough. It was fun but nothing I can see anyone wanting to do repeat playthroughs on. Overall, I think this is one of those games that was never meant to do well...someone just wanted the Terminator IP out there for a video game. But you can clearly tell, that low budget aside, it was made by Terminator fans. Made by people who love the first two films and wanted this to make some kind of impact...the best it could. So if you don't mind the dated feel of the game...I think it's a hidden gem everyone should check out. Edited June 22, 2022 by Viper
ZachBoardyHD
Platinum 126: LEGO Star Wars the Skywalker Saga:I had been waiting years for this to come out since the complete saga version was sadly never released on the PS4 and I didn't have high hopes that a remake would happen that included the sequels also. The day the Skywalker Saga was Announced, I was proper excited for it as the Complete Saga was and still is my favourite Lego game. What a massive let down this game was and how rushed it felt. Most levels in game takes around 5-10 minutes to complete with less levels than what was in the Complete Saga so the story kept jumping forward drastically that it felt it was missing story content (I understand they had to do all 9 films) But they could have got rid of the Side Mission's and added more story missions instead. Out of my entire experience with the game, it was the 140 side missions that were a problem for me as it became an absolute slog going through them all as most takes around 10-15 minutes to complete a single side mission. What makes it even lazier is that most of them are just copy and paste. I didn't mind collecting the Kyber bricks however because most were straightforward and didn't take too much time complete. Thank god! As there were 1166 (now 1200) in the game. While in the open world I also experienced some annoyances, such as your secondary character will just refuse to follow you at times and you're always getting stuck on everything, it's unreal how many times I'd get stuck on a little step ?. Every open world area however, I was really impressed with due to the scale and the amount of detail. If only they gave the other elements in the game with more love like they did with the environments. Finally, when going for the Kyber Bricks, I encountered a glitch where I needed these Jedi boxes to stack so I can get C3PO in the little hole but the boxes didn't spawn at all (probably because I completed a side mission in that area that involved the boxes) but I wanted to do one task at a time as we all know lego games can be very glitchy. Luckily in that area there were random boxes in the area which if it weren't for them. That would have been my 100 hours wasted (it was in the Hive open world) Overall such a let down with too many copy and paste mission's/ activities. Before starting playing it I was adamant I will be playing the PS5 version also, but now I've done everything which took about 120 hours... Never again ? Popular Post Moridin83
#217 Mark of the Ninja Remastered This was one of my favorite indies back on the X360, so I jumped at the chance to play it again with a plat. The graphics are crisp 2D, the audio does a great job of complementing the stealth gameplay, and the game itself requires some effort, but also has a forgiving checkpoint system, so you won't get too frustrated. Definitely recommended.
FFATMA
5000th trophy and 80th platinum: Stardew Valley 2.16% rarity I did end up cheesing the Fector's Challenge trophy, although I think I could have gotten it if I kept practicing. I didn't want to spend another month playing just that mini-game, so I did the sleep save scum method. I was able to get to the first or second level of stage 3 on a fairly consistent basis, but I didn't want to delay trophy hunting for too long, being so close to the 5000 trophy milestone. Took around 130 hours total. Fun game, I would say at least 8 or 9 out of 10!

Popular Post MrGarland
Platinum #137 Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (platinum, 100% on DLCs and most of the Titles) Difficulty: 7/10 (main game, DLC VR Missions and Sam's DLC), 3/10 (Wolf's DLC) Playtime: 90 hours (completed in 1 year, 5 months) Enjoyment: 8.5/10 (9.5/10 if I play casually and ignore the flaws) "I've got my own war to fight." First off all, I actually got this done some time ago (1,5 months to be exact), but there were two major reasons why I had to delay posting this. - I suffered from burnout after I got the platinum, so I had to take a break from gaming as well as from writing. The reason is not the platinum or the 100% on DLCs. It's because I did five S rank playthroughs, as well at least five extra playthroughs for the Titles before the final one, and that certainly took its toll. Was it worth it? I'm more or less a completionist, but for this one, I'd say yes. More about those at the end of this post. - Before I started my next project (not the extra one included here), I wanted to finish writing this which took me at least a month to get it done. With everything going on, I wanted to make sure I had enough time to focus on this. I've also begun working on a trophy guide for a certain game I played last year. Since it's going to be my first, it's unknown if it's going to happen or not. I'll try at least. With all that said, let's start. Introduction: Here it is. The game that was meant to be my 100th Platinum milestone, but instead ended up being Platinum #137. Before I go any further about that, let me explain a couple of things. Originally, I bought the game shortly after its release in 2013. Since then, it ended up on my shelf and had to wait for its turn. In the meantime, I also ended up buying an official strategy guide book, which came in handy, but more about that in a moment. When I had around 90 platinums collected in 2020, I was looking for a game that would serve as my 100th platinum milestone. After a few months of planning and preparing, I decided to choose this game for that purpose... or at least, that was the plan. While I did manage to get most of the trophies out of the way, there were two things that made me give up: the no damage battle against Armstrong in Sam's DLC, as well as some the VR Missions. I kept failing on both things, lost my patience and decided to give up. Before any of you wonder, I didn't try VR Mission 18 before I gave up, because I knew it was going to be hard. And as for Platinum #100, it was Burnout Paradise: Remastered. Not the most convincing one for a milestone, but I just wanted something to calm me down. A few months later, I planned several times to resume it, but I couldn't do it. After a very long break, I did it and finally got it done. The question is, was there anything that gave me motivation to try again? Actually, yes. In January 2022, I made a list for my next few games I was going to play, which also included this. I was originally planning to resume it later, but then came something that changed my mind. And what was that? YouTube. After it suddenly started recommending brand new videos of this game out of nowhere (one of them found at the end of this post), my interest started to increase. The more I watched them, the more I was hungry for some action and after some planning, ready to try again. In the end, I'm glad that happened because who knows when exactly I was going to resume it. It should be noted that I could've achieved the platinum in 3 playthroughs, but there was something else I wanted to collect and would be Titles. Standard to this series, you'll get a different Title, depending how you did during the game. Here, you can get multiple Titles in one playthrough, which is like in MGS4. This was the major reason why it took me so long to finish this, aside from taking a break for a couple of reasons. As for the Titles, they're pretty easy, but because there are a few speedrun/difficulty/no deaths Titles, I had to backup my save a few times, in case I'd mess up. Since the game saves instantly whenever you die, quitting and reloading the same save file won't make a difference. The death will still be recorded. Unless you copied the save file before that and reloaded it, then it will be different. As for the strategy guide I mentioned earlier, I bought one shortly after I bought the game. I didn't even know there was one until I saw it. You might say those won't do much these days and the internet is the place for those, but I'm going to say the opposite. The guide book was filled with tons of info, which helped me a lot in many different ways, like boss battles, finding collectibles or analyzing enemies. Not to mention, the game doesn't really teach that much about the gameplay, so if you want to learn all the techniques and such, you're going to have to learn them somewhere. In my case, it was the strategy guide and that worked greatly. It also has artwork and even a couple of comments from the character designers, so thumbs up for that. Now that I got the introduction out of the way, what can I say about the game? I might as well point out all the good and bad things. - Sword mechanics. How can you not like a game where you can cut almost anything with a few sweeps? The only thing you can't cut is a cat which you can find at the start of File R-01, as well as in the Japanese Garden in Sam's DLC. - Fox Blade. If you buy the Gray Fox DLC suit, you'll also get his blade as well. What does it do? For those who don't know, this singular blade cuts every enemy (excluding bosses) with only 1-2 hits after you've purchased the special effect. This means that you can complete pretty much every Ranked Battle by using this cheat sword. However, you can't use it in VR Missions. Either way, you can forget RPGs and miniguns. This is without a doubt the most destructive weapon I've seen. On a side note, I didn't start using this until halfway through my 2nd playthrough. Not to mention, it costs 200k points to unlock and the points I spent went for different things. - Excellent boss battles. If there's anything this game is well known for, it's the boss battles. Easily some of the best in the series are in this game. Mix them with some kick-ass soundtrack, and you know you're in one hell of a ride. - Soundtrack. If the excellent boss battles weren't enough, the soundtrack is the one last kick to make them even more enjoyable. Once the lyrics kick in, oh yeah. Now we're talking. - Memes. It wouldn't be complete without mentioning these. It seems that the memes have regained popularity, thanks to YouTube. Something tells me that even though I managed to get this done, the memes won't leave me alone for a long time. Oh boy... As awesome as this game is, I do have some complaints to point out, which I've listed below. - When it comes to entering your inventory during battle is terrible. Unlike in the other games in the series, where you can do it by pressing / , it works way worse in this one. Whenever you want to enter your inventory to switch your weapon or an item, you have to stand still for a second, press and then you can switch. It's a real pain in the ass to do and whenever I had to do so in the middle of the battle, I had to make sure that there were no enemies close to me. Otherwise, if I got hit, I'd have to restart since most of the battles require the No Damage bonus, which is needed for an S rank. - The camera can be annoying at times. Personally, I never had too much of an issue with that and whenever I did, it was usually in certain VR Missions. - Whenever the enemy deals enough damage on you in a short period or you're hit by a certain unblockable attack, you have to waggle , in order to recover/escape. I only have one thing to ask: why not press any of the buttons, instead of waggling? Not only is it a pain in the ass to do, but sometimes it doesn't work no matter how many times I waggle it (I'm aware that the difficulty level also affects it). To top it off, it makes an obnoxious sound. The only time where I always managed to pull it off was during the final battle. - Locking on and switching your targets during battle doesn't work properly sometimes. I usually had a problem with this when facing Sundowner where switching targets in particular, simply refused to work, no matter how many times I pushed . - Dumb AI. Whenever you trigger the Caution mode, the enemy either walks slowly towards you (Cyborgs) or doesn't do anything (UGs, usually Mastiffs). Peace Walker also had this problem, but here, it's even worse. - The game doesn't teach that much about the gameplay. Some might say that's a good way to learn things, but if you want to learn as much as possible like me, you're going to have to look for that from somewhere else. I'm also going to question a couple of points of logic in this game. - Whenever you manage to kill certain bosses, they somehow manage to call you via Codec before they die, even when you've sliced them into a million pieces. - When using explosives and rocket launchers, it's impossible to get hurt by them. You can throw/shoot below you, and you're still fine. I'm not complaining or anything, though. On the other hand, this can be handy in certain VR Missions. - All the bad guys in the game seem to know everything about Raiden's past. I'd like to know where they got all that info exactly. - Raiden can lift both Metal Gear Ray and Excelsus' arms without an issue. While it may seem awesome, I'd like to know how much strength that cyborg body of his grants. - I've seen in a few different videos that you can listen to Codec conversations in the title screen. As far as my knowledge goes, this only seems to be included in the PC and Xbox 360 versions. Why can't it be included in the PS3 version as well? If it does have it, you can correct me. It may sound like I'm picking too many details, but that's what happens when you play the game long enough. With all that now said, it's time for the main event. My journey to platinum, which was filled with lots of funny and great moments, but also had some frustrating bits as well. I'm mainly going to cover boss battles since that's one of the major things this game is known for, but I'm also going to cover certain Ranked Battles and VR Missions as well (though only a few of them each). Platinum journey: Ranked Battles: Spoiler File R-02: Ranked Battle #1: The first battle of this chapter makes no sense on Very Hard and Revengeance. On lower difficulties, you only have one enemy and it's simple to defeat. On the previously mentioned difficulties, you'll face a few Sliders, which only appear after killing that one enemy. This wouldn't be a problem, except that they don't appear right away. Instead, they show up after a few seconds. The first time I did that battle on Very Hard, I thought the game glitched, but luckily it didn't. It's just poor design. File R-03: Ranked Battle #13 (the one before the fight against Monsoon): With the exception of my playthrough on Revengeance where I cleared it on my first attempt, the amount of attempts for other playthroughs varied. The route strategy guide suggested worked every time, but whenever I messed up, I had to restart. This wouldn't be bad, except that Raiden is "injured" and he walks so damn slowly. The battle itself is easy, but having to redo it from the beginning every time I took damage was really boring. File R-04: Ranked Battle #2 (the one in the lobby): I only have one thing to say about this battle. F***. This. On Easy, Normal and Hard, it's nothing. On Very Hard, the difficulty spikes up a bit, but it's still manageable. On Revengeance, however, it's a nightmare. Want to guess why? The Cyborgs with RPGs. They may not seem like a threat, but they are. Not only do they deal a ton of damage, but they also destroy the turrets with only a few shots and you need one for the GRAD that comes at the end. You also can't fight them at close range because of an invisible barrier. All these facts combined, took me at least ten restarts before I finally got through it without dying. The DLC suit (White Armor) helped well enough, since it gives a five extra Repair Nanopastes. If it wasn't for that, I'd have had a much harder time. And yeah, it's possible to get the No Damage bonus, but since you'd be spending at least 30 minutes, it's not recommended to do so unless you know how exactly. Also, if you board the elevator before killing all the enemies, you won't receive a rank. This means that you have to do it the hard way, like it or not. Boss battles: Spoiler Metal Gear Ray: Rules of Nature. When that song kicks in, you know this game is going to be great. And what better way to do so than have a boss battle right from the start. It's against a familiar foe, who has received some modifications. Nice. For a tutorial battle, it's quite simple, despite that you'll be facing it twice. Something I'll have to admit that I wasn't aware of is that there are actually two ways to acquire the S rank. Either finish the battle in under 3 minutes or do it without taking damage. No need to worry about combos or such. I'm only saying this because during one of my Title playthroughs (not the S rank ones), I took damage, but finished the first battle in under that time limit. I had to check it from a strategy guide if it's true and it is. On Revengeance, it probably goes without saying which one you should go after? PS. Of all the Metal Gears in the series, Ray has the best cry. Change my mind. LQ-84i (Blade Wolf): Without a doubt the easiest boss in the game. Even on Revengeance, where I punished him with a combo from a Pole-Arm and that worked surprisingly well. I also decided to get the No Kills bonus on every playthrough (with the exception of the first one). Mistral: One of the easier ones, only ruined by all the Tripods, that annoying spin move she has and all the explosive barrels in the final Phase. I find it's easy enough to mess up and accidentally hit one, no matter how careful you are. I don't recall hitting them on lower difficulties, but on Very Hard, it happened more than once. Other than that, it's a good battle, though she's my least favorite character in the game. On my Revengeance playthrough, I got very lucky during Phase 2. During that Phase, I managed to deplete her health to 0.1% at some point, which led to Phase 3 almost immediately, as well as to the conclusion of the battle. My only guess is that I managed to Parry Counter some of her attacks. Since the Parry Counter receives a tremendous power boost on Revengeance, that's most likely the only reason. I didn't pay too much attention to that, as I was too busy blocking her attacks and when I did, I was so surprised that I almost dropped the controller to the floor. I'm not joking when I say that. Monsoon: First, let me point out the good things. The song is one thing obviously, but I also like the character design. The fact that he can split his body into pieces by using electromagnetism is actually pretty good. I haven't seen any other character do that like him. The bad thing? Everything else. This is the battle that took me the most amount of time to learn everything. It was also the most annoying one and that's because of one reason. The only checkpoint comes after he has 10% of health left. Meaning that every time you make a mistake and take a hit, you have to restart. It's possible to get the S rank without obtaining No Damage bonus, but I decided to do things the hard way. As for the battle itself, the first few playthroughs (the No Damage on Hard included) took me several hours worth of attempts. Learning every attack of his wasn't hard, but there is one attack that took me some time to get used to: Magnetic Force. Whenever you deplete Monsoon's health to a certain point, he uses this attack. Each time it happens, the amount of objects thrown at you increases by one. The problem with this attack is that not only do you have to slice them as quickly as possible, you also have to slice them correctly. It all depends on which direction it comes from. If you miss one or you slice in the wrong direction, you'll take damage and you have to restart (if you're going for the No Damage bonus). To top it off, later ones fly so fast that you'll only have a fraction to slice them. You can, however, avoid this by Ninja Running whenever he does it, but the timing has to be absolutely perfect. Do it too early, and you'll get hit. There is one thing that can make this battle less annoying and that's obviously the Pincer Blades (not available on first playthrough). Though slow, it's the most destructive of all three Custom Weapons and it's pretty much mandatory if you want to avoid making this battle last for too long (and especially avoid him using Magnetic Force too many times). When you know where to use it, you're good to go. Basically, each time you break his Purple Aura state, you have to act quickly and unleash Wake Turbulence. If done correctly, you'll deal so much damage that sends him flying and proceed to the next phase. However, this only works on lower difficulties, while on the highest ones, it was a different story. - On Very Hard, the same trick didn't work for some reason. Not unless I unleashed the move at the right time. Doing so seems to be the only way to drop his health to 40%. It took me a few attempts till I managed to get lucky enough. - On Revengeance, the same move doesn't deal as much damage, as it only drops it to 52%. I tried it a few times, but the result was the same every time. After that, I decided to test if using the strongest move the Pincer Blades have (Heat Burst) would make any difference. It does. Doing that seems to be the only way to drop his health to 40% and also shorten the battle's length. However, since the weapon itself is slow and Monsoon recovers quickly and might attack you while you're charging that attack, doing this might put you at disadvantage. But if you get lucky like I did, congrats. I only did this once, since doing it twice in battle is a huge gamble. I tried it one time and got hit while I was trying to pull it off a second time. So yeah, unless you feel like you can do it twice in a row, go for it. Otherwise, avoid doing that. Finally, I have to mention some of his quotes. "Have a smoke!" (sometimes heard whenever he throws a smoke grenade) is the lamest quote I've ever heard. On the other hand, something I don't understand is why he has two different quotes when you have to perform an Execution on him. He either says "Stop! Stop it!" or "Do as you please." On most of my playthroughs, he said the latter one, but thankfully, he said the former one in my final playthrough. It felt so satisfying to hear. B.D Mistral and Monsoon: Normally an easy battle, but on Very Hard and Revengeance, an absolute pain in the ass. Thankfully, you can finish this battle without the No Damage bonus, as long as you do it in less than 5 minutes and destroy enough Tripods. I tried getting the said bonus, but because I got hit no matter how careful I was and since there's no checkpoint between the two bosses, I simply didn't bother getting that. Screw this repeated fight, for all I care. Sundowner: Easier than Monsoon, but there's one thing that took me a while to get used to. It should be obvious. Yes, all the shields he has. Until this point, I had just hacked and slashed enemies randomly. Here, you must make precise cuts, in order to destroy them. If your aim is off even a little or you take too long slicing them, you're done. It is possible to avoid taking damage if you hit the shields, though it's hard to pull off. I've only managed to pull this at least 1-2 times. I also should mention that even when I knew how to destroy the shields, it was easy enough to make a mistake and accidentally hit the shield, instead of the "arms". Not to mention, the higher the difficulty, the less time you have to slice them. On Revengeance, you only get 4 seconds, which caught me off guard when I faced him on that difficulty. Once he loses his shields, the rest is very easy. Even his unblockable attack is easy to predict and avoid. On a side note, I went for the No Kills bonus for almost all of my playthroughs. I also did it on my Revengeance playthrough, since I got an A the first time I made it to the end. I'm guessing that I didn't get a high combo, which is why I got that rank. After a while, I got the S rank, while I also achieved both the No Damage and No Kills bonuses. PS. In case you're wondering how you get the No Kills bonus, it's simple. In Phase 2, if you wait about one minute, Sundowner jumps outside the arena and also calls reinforcement, which are Cyborgs (or Armored Cyborgs on higher difficulties). If you eliminate them by cutting at least one limb or by using a Wooden Sword which makes them disappear, you'll get the bonus. However, if Sundowner manages to kill them with that pole, you'll lose the bonus. Or so I've read. Don't know if it's true, but I didn't take risks. Personally, I always used the Wooden Sword, even though making them disappear with a fully upgraded sword has a chance of 20%. I also ended up "killing" Sundowner with that in the Blade Mode sequence. Who says that the Wooden Sword can't kill? Jetstream Sam: "May the best man win". Is that I'm supposed to say? Maybe, but the thing I want to say is that all the videos that I've seen weren't lying about one thing: how easy this battle is on Revengeance difficulty. All it takes are two Parry Counters and he's almost defeated. The second one is so powerful that it depletes 50% of his health. It also skips the second phase (where he is unarmed and uses his fists). You can't do this on other difficulties, as the Parry Counter is not as powerful as it's on Revengeance difficulty. I'm not complaining or anything, but when I experienced it myself, I was surprised. Of course, you could avoid doing that and finish the battle normally, but I don't see the point to do so. Oh, and guess how many attempts it took me to finish this fight on Revengeance? Two. I could've done it on my first attempt, but because I got hit once, I had to restart. Still, I always managed to Parry Counter his attack on both attempts, since they're very easy to predict. I was also 3 seconds away from clearing it in under 1 minute, but I can always come back later and improve it. Finally, the sound his sword (Murasama Blade) makes when swung is something I find oddly satisfying. I don't know why. Metal Gear Excelsus: Easy battle, but there's one thing I have trouble with, and that's whenever it slams its arms down. Since it's an unblockable attack, parrying it hurts you, so the only way to avoid it is to time the dodge absolutely perfectly. Even when I know the timing, I still mess up at times (with the exception of Revengeance where I succeeded all the time). Other than that, the rest is easy enough. One thing I don't understand is why Excelsus has to call Gekkos. I get that it makes the battle a bit more entertaining, but since they can be killed instantly by that laser Excelsus fires, I don't see a reason why they have to join the fight as well. Senator Armstrong: Every villain in this series is memorable one way or another, but Armstrong? He does things differently for a change. The fact that he makes his grand entrance near the end of the game and almost steals the show was a great decision. As a result, I might as well say that he's my favorite villain in the series. He may be full of memes, but his quotes are memorable. And yes, Kojima predicted the future somehow. I'm sure you know what I mean. Hint: it's his infamous "I have a dream" speech. For the final battle, since it's divided into three Phases, I might as well give a short version for each Phase (with the exception of the final one). The first Phase is pretty simple. The second one is tough, since you have to survive a certain amount of time (assuming you're going for the No Damage bonus). Personally, I had no problem getting through this. Even on Revengeance, where I made it on my first attempt. Since Armstrong mainly uses his dash attack which he also did on Very Hard as well, I was prepared for that and that's why I made it through so easily. Then there's the third and final Phase which is without a doubt the most popular one. Mainly because of the music. What about the battle itself? It's enjoyable, but there is one attack I had some trouble learning. The projectile attack. You need to hit at least 3 of 4 weak points of each projectile Armstrong throws at you. If you fail or take too long (if you don't have the Infinite Wig B, that is) you'll take damage. It took me a while to learn it, but once I did, I managed to get through the attack somewhat easily and bring the battle to its conclusion. And yes, I know you can avoid it by dashing forward, but I didn't do it on my several playthroughs. On Very Hard, this was a different story. No matter how careful I was, my aims to the weak points were always slightly off and I took damage every time. After a couple of failed attempts, I started to lose patience and ended up mashing buttons. At some point, I launched Armstrong in the air and decided to use Blade Mode to slow down time and use that as an advantage. However, since he gets more health on each difficulty (with the exception of Very Hard and Revengeance where he has the same amount of health), it didn't take long for him to recover. Then I decided to try something that's mentioned in the strategy guide: if you activate the Ripper Mode and then enter the Blade Mode, the game goes super slow-motion. Using that after launching, I managed to deplete more than enough of his health. The only downside is that the game becomes practically blurry and unplayable. At least, that's how it felt like. So yeah, it may be a cheap way to finish him, but like I said, I couldn't do the projectile attack properly, whereas I managed to do it on lower difficulties so I had to do it that way. And yes, I did the same trick on Revengeance. I only had to restart once just because I got hit, but otherwise, I made it on my 2nd attempt. VR MIssions: Spoiler VR Mission 7: If you thought Mission 18 was the only one with the difficulty setting, you're mistaken. This is another one, except that it's set to Very Hard difficulty. I really wished the game would mention that because if one were to jump into that without knowing anything, it would come as a surprise. Anyway, this isn't too hard, but I needed a couple of attempts before I got lucky enough. When I did, I managed to Parry Counter all the Armored Cyborgs in one go in Phase 3, as well as the Gekkos in the next Phase, which saved me a lot of time. Because of that, I managed to clear so fast that I had 1,5 minutes to spare. VR Mission 15: Not hard, but very annoying, thanks to all the Cyborgs with RPGs. They're everywhere and they're constantly firing, which means that stopping is most likely going to knock you into the abyss, forcing you to restart, due to the strict requirement. VR Mission 18: Do I even have to say why this is listed here? The hardest mission in the entire game and that's because of one reason. The mission is set on Revengeance difficulty. Not only that, but since you don't have health upgrades, these facts mean that most of the attacks will kill you in one hit. Even a slam from a Tripod will take 2/3 your health. I've already talked about my experiences once before, so I'll give a short version. First of all, I had to practice 2 hours before I managed to figure out everything I needed to know, in order to survive. After that, I kept trying until I succeeded. Took me 3 hours till I finally made it. I'd say Phase 3 was the worst one, followed closely by Phase 2 which was already troublesome. If it wasn't for the friendly fire, Phase 3 would've been much harder. The final one, however, was an absolute joke when done correctly. VR Mission 20: Once I got every Mission done (including the DLC), there was only one left which was this. After getting all the hard ones done, it felt so good to do something much easier for a change. Still, I find it strange that they listed the easiest one for last. DLC VR Mission 10: Once you learn the route, it's not hard. However, it's ruined by one thing. If you guessed the bombs, you were close enough. It's that single Armored Cyborg at the end. What makes it so bad? Parry Countering his attacks a few times in a row isn't a problem, though I can't pull that off very well. The problem is that he's on a small platform, surrounded by a few bombs. If you block his attacks instead of Parry Countering, you get pushed back. Get pushed too much and... you know. I could've tried if he came after me by jumping off the platform, but since the time limit isn't exactly generous, I didn't bother trying it. After several attempts, I managed to get incredibly lucky which went like this: I failed to block the guy's attack, got hit and knocked back. I hit the bomb at the same time, but didn't die. The Cyborg, however, did since he was too close. Because it's another Zandatsu-based mission, any regular kills result in failure. Thankfully, you'll only fail if the enemy explodes and disappears, not when he gets killed instantly by a bomb. Because of that, I had to act quickly and perform a Zandatsu on him. I did it, and I made it just barely. DLC VR Mission 14: It may sound odd when I say this, but I found this as the funniest mission. Want to know why? You have to kill all the enemies, but you can't use any weapons. So how do you kill them? With all those bombs that are scattered around the map. A single contact will instantly kill any enemy (or you if you're too close) that gets near it. Seeing them flying away whenever they touch one was so satisfying and that's why I found this so amusing. DLC VR Mission 19: Remember the final battle? Specifically, Phase 2 where you don't have a weapon? Well, this mission is basically just that. You have to kill all the enemies by using only punches and kicks. It's not too bad, but once you reach the final part, that's where it gets hard. With so many enemies coming after you, it gets chaotic when you're trying to survive and trying to clear it as fast as possible. At least you get a Repair Nanopaste, so you don't need to worry about running out of health. DLC VR Mission 22: Another Ninja Kill mission, except that it's set in dark. That's fine, but it suffers from one major flaw: enemies can spot you randomly. Sometimes they can see you almost instantly. Other times, they can see you from afar. It all comes to luck whichever happens. I recall that can happen in other missions that are set in dark, but it was definitely the worst in this one. DLC VR Mission 27: If you want to know what was the hardest DLC Mission for me (and for many other players), it's this. The last Zandatsu-based Mission was without a doubt the hardest one. If not the hardest, it's certainly the most annoying in the entire game. Where do I even begin... I might as well list everything why I hate this mission and why it took me so long to get it done. - The first part is pretty simple, as all the enemies are regular Cyborgs. This means that you can just slice them at any point without weakening them. However, even an easy part like this, I usually failed it like this: I activated the Blade Mode too early, which resulted in killing the Cyborg and without hitting the weak point, just because I wasn't close enough. Not only that, but they can also hurt each other with assault rifles, which means that if one gets hit from gunfire, it will push him a bit, so using the Blade Mode as close as possible is vital. - The second part opens with a few Cyborgs, but the real challenge begins after that: three Mastiffs and one Gekko. This was without a doubt the hardest part of the entire mission and the one that took me the most time to get used to. The Gekko isn't a problem. All those Mastiffs are. In order to perform a Zandatsu on them, you need to deal enough damage in a short amount of time. Usually, the way I did it was that I performed a 30-hit combo or less and without getting hit. If you manage to do that, you'll stun it and you're free to perform a Zandatsu. However, if you get hit, you'll lose the combo and have to hit it immediately or else you won't be able to stun them. If you kill them normally, you have to make sure you perform Zandatsu as soon as you see sparks coming from them or when you know when they're weakened enough. If you don't, it's back to start. - The third and final part once again has a couple of Cyborgs, except that they're standing way too close to the edge. This means that if they somehow end up getting knocked back there, it will count as a non-lethal kill and you'll fail. I experienced this a few times. Then, I realized that you can just go underneath them and then they will jump down and fight close. It's that simple. After those come three Fenrirs. Luckily, it's easy to predict where they appear, so fighting them wasn't a problem. Just hit them with Pincer Blades and activate the Blade Mode once they're weakened. In total, I needed at least 4 hours worth of attempts. Very rarely I made it to the final part and each time I did, I usually failed one way or another. Not to mention, one of my attempts failed because one of the Fenrirs died somehow, despite that I didn't damage it that much. Needless to say, that didn't make me happy. DLC VR Mission 30: When you know where most of the enemies spawn and what weapons to use, this won't be too bad. Needed about 10 attempts before I made it. The part with one Hammerhead and a few Sliders was the most annoying part to get through, but only because the Sliders got in my way whenever I was focusing on fighting the Hammerhead. The final part with two GRADs and three Fenrirs was somewhat tough, but since the enemies wait for their turn whenever you're fighting against one, it's not too bad. Only rarely they'll attack, but that's pretty much it. Sam's DLC: Spoiler The first DLC episode where you get to play as everyone's favorite samurai and see how he joined the Desperados. It's also nice to see how different Sam is, in terms of gameplay. While it's mostly the same, Sam does have some new tricks, like taunting and double jumping. However, while he can perform a Zandatsu on enemies, he can't Ninja Kill them. He's modeled after a samurai, after all. There's one thing I have to dislike about this DLC, which should be obvious. It's the boss battles, though one boss in particular. The only reason I say this is because they attack faster than normally. Blade Wolf is much more annoying due to how relentless he is and it took me a while to get past him the first time I faced him. Once you know the way, he's not too bad. Metal Gear Ray, on the other hand, is easy. You can either fight it normally or you can just use the Stinger. Each hit takes 1/5 its health, but only if you manage to hit its head. Since you only get 5 shots, you can't afford to miss if you choose to do it this way. However, the biggest pain in the ass is Senator Armstrong. The no damage fight against him on Hard was one of the reasons why I had to stop playing this. I'm fine with his increased attack speed or the fact that his kicks have a ridiculously long range, but what I really hate about this battle is that fire dash. F*** this move. Compared to any other move, he uses this way too often. Actually, based on the several videos I've seen, it's entirely RNG based on whether he's going to use it or not. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. The major reason why I hate this move so much is that sometimes he either gets stuck on walls or bounces on them which usually resulted me dodging the wrong time and taking a hit. Even when I learned that, it was still easy enough to make a mistake. Not to mention, on Revengeance, it even speeds up if he ever decides to use it for that long, though I made through that somehow. When I first tried the no damage run, I played about two hours before I started losing my patience and had to stop playing. After I resumed the game from a long hiatus, I started from this part since that's where I saved last time. I could've done some practice in another save file, but I chose to do things the hard way. After another two hours of observing his attacks and playing it safely, I managed to defeat him without taking damage. Man, did that feel satisfying. As for speedrun, it went surprisingly well, as I managed to avoid all fights, with the exception of unavoidable ones, thanks to the speedrun video I found from YouTube which helped a lot. Despite that, I died twice and missed my goal of clearing it under 20 minutes by 16 seconds. Sucks that I didn't quite make it, but at least I got a reasonable time. So yeah, I found the speedrun much easier than the No Damage battle. One more thing. While playing, I found some déjá vu moments from this DLC that also happen in the main game. Not counting the areas Sam goes through which are also in the main game, btw. - Blade Wolf greets Sam the same way he did to Raiden. The only difference is the word they're both called (samurai for Sam and cyborg for Raiden). Sam also dodges Blade Wolf's chainsaw the same exact way Raiden did. - Right before Sam's "final interview", Armstrong yells "Come on!" in which Sam replies by saying "OK. Let's dance." The same lines were also said by Armstrong and Raiden in their final battle. - Sam cuts Armstrong's arm the same way he did to Raiden in the main game. Wolf's DLC: Spoiler I don't know what the general opinion for this DLC is, but I enjoyed it a lot. Perhaps more than Sam's, and that's for good reasons. It's much easier and it focuses more on stealth which the main game lacked somewhat. Wolf is also my favorite character from this game. While I think Raiden, Armstrong and everyone else are cool, I found Wolf as my favorite. This DLC is the reason. Not to mention, his design (after joining Raiden's side) is really cool. As for this DLC, getting the trophies wasn't a problem and that's why I give it a difficulty of 3/10. Even the speedrun was easy enough and I made it in under 30 minutes. On a side note, I almost managed to beat Khamsin without taking damage, but I got careless and ended up dying once. Other than that, I don't have much else to say. I'll come back someday and get the S ranks from this DLC, since it's relatively easy. One last thing before I wrap this up. When I started this game, I planned to collect all the in-game Titles you receive at the end of playthrough. These are not needed for platinum, but if you're a completionist, then you must collect them. In the end, I managed to collect almost all of them, only missing the following four Titles. - Precision Machine - Cleanly sever at least 30 body parts in Blade Mode during the course of a full playthrough without damaging them with further slices.* - Naked and Unloved - Complete the game on Hard difficulty or higher without upgrading Raiden's Life or Fuel Cell capacity via the Customize option or by collecting Endurance +1 upgrades.** - ??? - Obtain all S ranks on all difficulties in Sam's DLC)*** - ??? - Obtain all S Ranks on all difficulties in Blade Wolf's DLC)*** * During one of my playthroughs, I tried getting this, but no matter how careful I was, I didn't get it. At least the Title isn't lying when it comes to its name. ** Easily the worst one if you didn't start your first playthrough on Hard. It's not difficult or anything. You can still get this, but only by selecting New Game from the title screen. However, doing so will reset EVERYTHING. With the exception of collectibles, Titles you've obtained and your progress in VR Missions, you'll lose all the weapons, meaning that you'll have to buy them again. Your BP will also reset which is not the worst since you can get a ton of points in one playthrough. The worst part? Progress in each chapter will reset (with the exception of the DLC), which means that all that hard work I did goes to waste. I tested this by backing up my save file after I got the platinum and it's true. So whenever I'm going to get this, I'll have to do another few S rank playthroughs after getting that tedious Title. Or will I? If I wanted to show off, then yes. We'll see what happens. *** I couldn't find the names of these Titles anywhere, but I did find the requirements for both of them. I might as well say that getting all the S ranks in Wolf's DLC is going to be much easier, while Sam has a much harder time. Well, I guess that's all I have to say about this one. To sum it up, this was easily one of the best and most enjoyable experiences I've had for a while, but it was also one of the most tiring and annoying. Having to restart a battle every time when things didn't go as planned got really boring. I've also seen enough cut limbs and such, so I won't be playing anything this violent for a long time. I'll let the bonus below do the rest before I'll start talking about the next game. Bonus 1 (images): Spoiler - This face. The best (and currently the only) troll face I've seen in the games. Obviously, the first time I saw it in the game, I had to laugh a bit. - My results for the final S rank playthrough. I was surprised to see that I made it in just slightly over 2 hours. Please excuse the poor quality of these images. Other than my smartphone, I lack a good camera. Bonus 2 (videos): Spoiler - Last time I gave some hints about my next project. One of them was an image. I took it from this video, so if you somehow knew what game it was going to be, I salute you. Putting that aside, this was the first meme video YouTube suddenly recommended to me earlier this year. After that, more and more of these started to appear. The most common ones are It Has To Be This Way, Standing Here I Realize and Revengeance Status, with the latter one getting a new video daily. For a while, at least. - The first (and the only) review I've watched. Though it was the only one for him, he did a good job. Sadly, it seems that he no longer continues his series he was once known from. - If you know what Cinemasins is, then you know what this is going to be. And yes, this channel was inspired by that, but putting that aside for a moment, I'd say he did a good job with this one. - I planned to use a victory theme here (I'm sure you know what), but since it doesn't kind of go with this game, I'll use this instead. Hearing that after popping the platinum felt satisfying. - This game has a couple of funny moments, but if I have to name one, it'd be this. When I saw this in the game for the first time, I bursted to laughter. I can't think of anything else that has made me laugh as much as this. At least anything recent. Luckily, I didn't watch the cutscenes before starting, so I managed to avoid spoilers. Platinum #138 Astro's Playroom (platinum and 100% on DLC) Difficulty: 2/10 Playtime: 5 hours (completed in 2 days, 2 seconds) Enjoyment: 10/10 Last time I mentioned that if I manage to platinum the game I gave some hints about, I'd set up my PS5. Since I managed to accomplish that, I decided to get my first PS5-exclusive platinum, which was obviously this. Considering how short this game is, I'm going to include this one here as well, rather than making a separate post. Anyway, I'm sure that many people know this game, so I probably don't have to go into the details too much. All I can say about it, the experience was worth it. I enjoyed Astro Bot Rescue Mission a lot, and I obviously enjoyed this one as well. It also gave me a nostalgia overload, with the amount of references this game has. It also makes good use of motion controls. Other than that, there's not much else to say. Next project: Now that I've finally conquered one of the toughest platinums I've done, I can finally relax by playing something I've been planning for a while. I mentioned about it last time, but in case you forgot: Spoiler Edited June 22, 2022 by MrGarland

Elvick_
Platinum #233 Nickelodeon All-Stars Brawl [PS5] Leave Everything to Me! Collect all the trophies. What a turd. I mean, it's not without some fun (with very specific characters). I found Michelangelo, Garfield and Reptar to be fun to play. Though it still feels like a chore to play even them. Something just feels off about the gameplay itself, and not having jump to 'up' is stupid. Not even an option. Only on a button is awkward as hell. Even online people were making the same types of mistakes with directional inputs. I think it's literally just the game at times. I mean in matches without tons of lag of course, which were not a lot at least. Even if it took forever to a) find players b.) find players who wouldn't leave/disconnect immediately when found. Most of the fun was just grinding out the 50 boring online matchmaking. Since I didn't care. lol, I still put up a fight if that's what people seemed to want, didn't want to hand out any perfect wins for free ;p. Only one immediately dropped off the levels which we did together for about 3 matches which took me to 50 coincidentally while I was grinding it out today. I wonder if it did for him as well since he left after that... or he's just a trophy farmer Angel sent by RNGesus to give me a nice ride out of this boring ass game. If this was free to play, or like $20 without DLC, I wouldn't feel the need to be as harsh. But it just comes off as the biggest cash grab ever. It feels more like a knock off game that stole assets from something else and shoved them all together to release on mobile than a legitimate game. The characters don't mesh too well together. It's better than PS All-Stars in that regard at least. But to me the only good looking characters are like those two I've never heard of from some newer show and Catdog. The art of Powdered Toast man looks good but the model looks trash, because of how his face is lit. It's honestly a little creepy. Zim looks okay, but I feel like the animations aren't too great for him or anyone really. Aang and Toph look like garbage. Spongebob looks creep with his eyes ingame. Nobody is worse than Ren and Stimpy though, they look straight out of a PS2 game. I mean, the entire game looks like a remastered PS2 game... but, they just look like they werent' even remastered. The roster is bizarre. No actual Rugrats. I would imagine they didn't want to beat up babies or too young of children (no idea how old Helga and them are 10ish?, I know Aang is that age and Toph is around the same iirc). That's the only reason I could think they didn't choose Donnie for Wild Thornberries who is the one I'd think has the most logical reason to be in a fighting game given he grew up wild and has fought many wild animals in the series. (and poachers) I guess they chose Nigel because he's a meme? I don't know, I don't get it. They could've had a girl from her own show but I guess that would make too much sense. Plenty of animal friends she could've used to attack or even call in Donnie or Darwin. But that would require animating a bunch of animals for attacks and that's hard. Two of four Ninja Turtles. I don't get it, and I don't get why they chose non-Nickelodeon versions to use. I mean I do for nostalgia I guess, but they didn't utilize the fact that they all have the same body to make more characters for less money. Sure, you still have to do new animations and moves and balancing, but the model itself is just a color and weapon change. Oh and a letter. Four total TMNT characters and not the turtles... April when she was just a reporter. If they had chosen the CG show they had like... 2013? ish, they could've had it make sense why she fought. And it would make a bit more sense to only have 2 of 4 turtles since they had different [albeit not as different as Rise] designs. Hey Arnold is repped by... Helga. What. I get you probably wanted more girls, but why go this route? I was imagining how if Arnold was in how he could've had his super jump be the pigeon man show up and carry him upward. That would've been neat. Helga just has generic dash jump that is reused between multiple characters. I don't get it. Aaaaaah!! Real Monsters Oblina... girl again I have to assume, because why wouldn't you go with Ickis? He's the most iconic design to me. I don't know. I would've liked all three of the main characters tbh. But they had $5 and some chicken wings to make this I guess. Spongebob gets three, which I guess is inevitable. Whatever it's fine. Avatar I don't get either. I guess we didn't get Katara because Korra. I'd rather have Katara... and Zuko. At least one of each type of bender. I'd like Sokka too, but they were already out of wings by the time they got to Avatar TLA at that point. Running on fumes. Danny Phantom is a good one. Jenny should've been in the main game. She even looks good in the art style of Catdog and two kids from modern show. Which everyone else should look more like... Whatever, roster aside the modes are as barebones as you can get to call it a 'game'. Arcade is boring and tedious to go through. Especially because the stupid text dialog intros. The voice acting didn't help because they all sound like crap other than like Spongebob and Patrick who I guess give it their all in the 2 minutes it took to record for the game and everyone else half assed it. Some are actually the actors too which shocked me I assumed 100% other than Spongebob were just cheap sound alikes... some still are of course, but geez. I digress back to modes. Um... online, which is dead as hell and spotty. Sports which is garbage, there's like 4-5 of them and they're almost identical in every way other than the ball visual and how it acts when you hit or pick it up. Terrible mode. It's so bad it makes me mad that they wasted time on it instead of anything else. And... just free play I guess, which is what it is. What else... lots of stages are just not fun. The game just is not fun. PS All-Stars for all it's faults at least put more effort in, and that still felt budget and cheaply made... but it had far more content than this stupid game. I felt like that Cartoon Network game Battle... something XL (I got the plat but am too lazy to relook up the name lol). felt far more like a completed game and I got that for like $2-3 before it was de-listed on PS3. The only real positive I suppose is if you're looking for some of your favorite characters for some Milestone achievements, here you go. Some nice, if bland, icons of those characters. So that's something I guess. GOt it for PS+ and got it from Humble Monthly on PC and still feel ripped off by it. :/
RedRodriguez87
#383: Adventurer Been eyeing this platinum for a long time, as it's my favorite type; decorative and blue. This game FINALLY went on sale, so I was able to go for it. And yeah, it's not terrible, but definitely not worth 29.99. Its for kids, and definitely got some things for them to do. #384: Harmony! *shrugs* ratalaika game. At least I had to make it to the end credits before popping the plat. Popular Post No longer here
#160 - Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge (PS4) Enjoyment/Rating: 7.5/10 Difficulty: 8/10 Time: 80 hours PSNP Rarity: 6.66% PSN Rarity: 0.6% Welp there it is boys, the trilogy is COMPLETE! However this one, was lacking the most in quality unfortunately. I was enjoying the game and the only reason I give the game a higher rating than it is because the combat was really fast and chaotic, in good and bad ways. Mostly it was just fun with the amount of gore and dismemberment this game brought! For the platinum run though, the combat starting lacking as the difficulty got crazier. Sadly there wasn’t many options when it came to combat with the weapons, as the “Eclipse Scythe” was the way to go for the road to plat. Though it was still really fun and satisfying either way, it’s unfortunate you cannot mix up your weapons like you would do in the first two games. Other complaints were the story (lol) and many designs of the levels and bosses were very… questionable. When doing the trials and playing as the other characters, I had fun with them tbh, and made the game better for me as there was a lot of content in the game. Overall, I might be a little biased because of the score I gave the game, I loved the combat mechanics in all these games and in this game it’s no different. These type of games the COMBAT carries the quality, which I love cause gameplay > everything else. Sadly the game didn’t live up to the first two highly appreciated games. But to say I didn’t enjoy the game…. I wouldn’t “platinum” a game if I didn’t like it. (Duh) Anyways, this game is a hard recommendation only because other than the gameplay of the characters, the game is lacking in many areas. If you love Ninja Gaiden like I do or love action/hack and slash games. Then I would say go for it!! Will really miss this trilogy! I wish sometime in the future there is a new game or reboot….

Popular Post BlitzkriegHottie
Consume the caca, blow up, cannibalize your friends, grow fruit... Wattam in a nutshell. Not a joke. This must be Elden Ring's Wholesome Dungeater's favorite game. All Done Rarity: 18.67% This game's so shitty and I mean it: defecating, consuming fecal matter and exploding is pretty much all you'll be doing in here and yet it never gets boring? Somehow it manages to be a good game? How on earth? Amber Heard Approved! From the same developers that brought us masterpieces like the Katamaris, Wattam manages to crank the silliness and colorfulness up to eleven! Is that a good thing, however? Not really, the game is super fun for what it is but unlike Katamari, which makes you want to play it again as soon as you beat it, Wattam severely lacks replayability. I don't see me ever replaying it. In fact, I'd argue replaying a game like this would actually lessen your overall experience. And hearing this from a game that was in development hell for several years is disheartening to say the least. So there's that. All in all, it is fun for what it is but I wouldn't recommend buying it full price. Platinum wise this is apparently a glitchy game but I hesitate to deem it such since other than a nasty frame drop that lead to a single hard crash that erased like 20 of my kabooms, I didn't eperience any gamebreaking bugs that several others seem to have eperienced. I've heard horror stories of people having to start a third, even fourth 100% playthrough in order to get the platinum but in the end I lucked out I guess. So, potential glitches aside, the list is very easy and only features a few grindy trophies as well as a couple annoying and long tasks. Game Rating: 7/10 Platinum Difficulty: 2/10 (No glitches) Time to platinum: 15h (No glitches) Also, have I mentioned how schizoid the trophy descriptions are?: Big Poop, Middle Poop, Just a Little Poop Congratulations! This is a trophy commemorating the discovery of all three types of Poop. However much the Big Poop may look like ice cream, be sure not to taste it because it is very assuredly Poop and will taste as such. 100 Times KaboomCongratulations! This is a trophy commemorating your 100th Kaboom. Kaboom! Kaboom! Kaboom! Kaboom! Kaboom! Kaboom! Kaboom! Kaboom! Kaboom! Kaboom! Kaboom! Kaboom! Kaboom! Kaboom! Kaboom! Kaboom! Kaboom! Kaboom! Popular Post BlitzkriegHottie
Oh yeah, that's right, right before Wattam I also got the NA and EU stacks for Fall Guys. Surprised it worked since I'm no longer plus, thus I no longer "own" the original launcher. If you got the platinum for the original version you can autopop the free versions. Just a heads up. Now I have 3 Fall Guy plats. Even if you're no longer plus (like in my case), just creating an EG account is enough. Also, apparently a ps5 version is coming? Dang. #264 #265 Yeah, no shame in autopoping plats, specially if the original was such a FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT MISERABLE EXPERIENCE. Oops, sorry, got a little funny in the head there. Hey, remember when this site had a meltdown over Fall Guys' trophies? Yeah, good days. I wonder what would happen if they decide to release new trophies for these new versions... dear Lord...
