Popular Post Viscera1900
#339 - WWE 2K22 All Trophies Earned "Earn all trophies." Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 5/10 Completion time: 115 hours / 2 months, 1 week (PSNP) Had a itch to play a WWE game again; skipped WWE 2K20, since I heard it was way too buggy game that it's literally unplayable. When I started this game: I did not expect the grind I have to do for this platinum trophy, since it took me 115 hours to complete this. So glad that there are no online trophies, but you do need to be connected to online to play MyFaction mode, but you don't need to play against other players. It's mostly easy game to platinum except those brutal 8-man ladder matches: I had to play those way too many times and they were no fun at all.

Trancexistence
#7 - Friday The 13th: Killer Puzzle So I decided to move straight onto this one after earning the platinum in Slayaway Camp. The games are almost identical apart from this game using a ranking up system which awards you with crates containing new weapons rather than being able to buy gore packs and additional killers. I liked having the additional killers so for that reason I marginally preferred Slayaway Camp but there wasn't much in it. I recommend them both if you're into slasher and horror movies or just puzzle games in general. I picked this one up pretty cheaply too. Popular Post Rick_Sanchez
Platinum 278 Fun: 8/10 (3/10 for Mahjong) Difficulty: 8/10 due to Mahjong RNG Kiryu returns to the world of the Yakuza once again in his latest adventure to bring peace to his former Yakuza clan. The story is excellent, graphics are beautiful but the gameplay feels floaty most of the time. The trophies mostly unlock through natural progression but a good number of them requires completion of the different sidequests and mini games including winning Mahjong which unless you're naturally good at it, will take quite some time. There are a number of cheat items available to use but they're limited and you need to use them wisely. I would recommend clearing everything else first then buy the laser sword to make the bouncer missions that replace the climax battles easier and your legend playthrough will be a cake walk. Yakuza 2 is an excellent game with a great story and you shouldn't miss out on it. So far the entire series is amazing!

Popular Post StraightVege
Grandmaster #292 17th Fastest Achiever (23 hours, 58 minutes) Normally, auto-runner titles don't interest me in the slightest; I want full control over my games. However, this adorable, Marioesque platformer includes an option to toggle it off when playing as Miles, so I was willing to give it a chance. The game is deceptively simple, using only two buttons: a jump, which can be held to increase height, and a context-sensitive action button, utilized for a number of different feats, such as sliding through low passages or throwing collected fruit at enemies as a projectile. To mix things up, several levels have Kilo (the dog) dragging Miles by a leash at high speed, where the auto-running is forced. Surprisingly, I didn't mind these too much, since Kilo also has the ability to launch themselves into baddies like a missile, thus it added some nice variety. Stages are bite-size, rarely lasting longer than 40 seconds each. Early on, these devious mini-obstacle courses are easy enough to lull you into a false sense of security, but the difficulty and complexity ramps up at rapid rate, with the final two worlds demanding perfect execution by the player. Hesitate, or deviate even slightly from what the developers intended, and you'll lose sync with the level's cycle, resulting in either death or a bad ranking. This type of rigid design doesn't suit my taste—there's very little room for improvisation or mistake recovery. Honestly, the game only works because the stages are so short. My brief time with Miles & Kilo was more frustrating than fun, yet I can't really fault it much. Mostly, it plays extremely well, with precise and responsive controls. There were times when I slipped into a hyperfocused state, losing track of everything, except for the breakneck platforming goodness on my screen. It's a quality game for sure, just not exactly my cup of tea.

Side missions were pretty decent, with one questline making me belly laugh, but past that the open world stuff felt like fluff. Once you get used to it though, the game is cake walk and is pretty fun playing an hour or two every week. There is one trophy that requires you to kill 100,000 enemies that adds on a ton of unneeded grinding and time investment for the platinum. Popular Post HansPatat050
#69 Art of Rally Enjoyment: 6/10. Overall a nice game. The graphics are indie style, clean but very simplistic. At first I really struggled with the handling, it's like driving on ice with very little margin for errors to spin off the track. Once I got used to the handling it really felt challenging and eventually rewarding to go as fast as possible for long ends. The game requires you to control your trigger movement. Full throttle or full braking doesn't work and will only make the game frustrating. No joy here for the NFS arcade racer. 10/10 for the handling.... 2/10 for the grind. The 'career' mode has approx 280 stages which all are pretty similar. Different tracks and environment without any additional challenges. Finishing the 'career' mode was fine, but the complete 1000 stages trophy was just pure grinding and very dull. I don't get it why these kind of trophies are added while the game itself as pretty little to offer after doing over 250 stages. Difficulty: 3/10. Easy game, only challenge is the trophy to win a race on the highest difficulty with severe damage. Creating a custom rally can make this pretty easy. Apart from that there are no challenges and no time limit to finish the stages, so just pure rally racing. Why not 1/10? Because the handling can be pretty challenging to master. Valzentia
#59 - Cartoon Network Punch Time Explosion XL Difficulty: 4/10 Fun: 9/10 The Cartoon Network equivalent of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, made about 10 years before said Nickelodeon fighter (they really were ahead of their time! Now when's the Disney platform fighter coming?). The most challenging trophies aren't part of story mode, but goddamn beating Aku without dying, beating corrupted Buttercup in under a minute, and scoring a KO with Father's useless synergy assists were a pain in the ass and that's why I personally give the difficulty rating higher than 3. Despite those flaws, this is actually a damn good game, if a bit short and lacking some features All-Star Brawl had (like an online mode and voice acting variety). There's also a startling lack of Adventure Time and Regular Show characters even though the game was out long after their premiere, which I personally am chalking down to development beginning before they were picked up. Would love to see a PS4/5 port of this game with additional characters and perhaps a longer story mode, but I think MultiVersus is putting that idea in the "not happening" pile, sadly.
Popular Post da-Noob123
I got to take a trip down memory lane and platinumed Syphon Filter this week. It was short and sweet and over too soon. The old cheat codes still work but with built in Rewind feature they are not needed in the slightest. Getting used to the controls took some time but it was nice playing something that didn't have an homogenized layout. It also challenged me in ways most games don't do so nowadays. For example, there is one elevator that at first only goes down but you need to go up. The trick is to shoot the control panel on the upper level which makes the elevator go up. Out of the box thinking like this is interspersed throughout the game which is something I miss in video games. That feeling of experimenting with different things to find a way forward or how to kill a boss is great. I did get stuck twice but now I can just Google the answer and not be stuck for days so it's the best of both worlds! I dearly hope the sequels follow suit in short order, even if they have no trophies, as I am chomping at the bit for more. I also couldn't help but day dream what a Remastered Syphon Filter would look like. There is so much they could do but I digress. Challenge: 2.5/10 - Rewind removed most of the difficulty but solving where to go without a guide made it somewhat challenging. Enjoyment: 8/10 - My trip down memory lane was excellent the only drawbacks were how short it was and getting stuck on first 2 parts of the final mission for like an hour or so.

Popular Post slender_adrian
#98 Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 Grind: 2/10 Time: 38 Hours Rarity: [Very Rare 8.8% / Uncommon 27.89%] "Don't you dare go Hollow." Dark Souls is my favorite videogame and every time I play it I have the best time ever. I have beaten this game around 10 times now and every time I finished this game I found something new, even if its just a little thing but every time I play Dark Souls I discover something new, discovering a hidden bonfire by yourself is a priceless feeling haha. I would recommend this game to anyone, even if they are just casuals and if they don't even try it. Dark Souls for me is more than a game and I will always be grateful for having the opportunity to play it. The remastered version is amazing, I don't know why some people hate it but it really fixed a lot of the issues the old version had. So this is my 3rd Dark Souls platinum, well this platinum is very easy and there are multiple if not a thousand ways to cheese it even more, it isn't like Bloodborne where if you beat the game the gap between the plat is small, you have to keep track of a couple of things in Dark Souls, but thankfully I remembered everything and how to do it haha! I have to say that I'm very proud of this plat, this is the 3rd time I get it and it was and incredible journey just like the first time. I'm not a god of Dark Souls I'm just a normal dude that played this game a lot and remembers a few things but I managed to do this platinum in 38 hours! (including AOTA dlc) That's 53 hours less on my first try and 20 hours less on my 2nd try. I did everything 100% solo and saving this huge amount of time was hilarious. This first run took me 26 hours, basically getting everything you are available in this first run plus getting the all that's needed for weapon upgrades and doing the AOTA dlc which took probably 3~4 hours at the end of this run my character was level 109 at the start of new game+. My 2nd run took me 9 hours which basically was getting all boss souls and slabs and getting a few more levels on my character. I would do this platinum again whenever I get bored in a random account anytime haha. If anyone is interested, here's the first post I made when I got this plat for the first time a year ago: Spoiler My thoughts on this game hasn't change, I love Dark Souls, one of the best games ever made and my favorite of all time! Thank you Dark Souls!!! Edited July 5, 2022 by slender_adrian
Popular Post RedRodriguez87
PS4 #388: No Ape Can Escape! You know the last time I touched this game, was on its very first PSM demo disc at a Target. Yep, that long. So with the added incentive of a platinum, I finally dipped my toes into it, and yeah, I had a pretty fun time. A very silly game, but that's the charm of it all. It's gimmick is that 50% of the gameplay revolves around the use of both Analog sticks. For the most part it's still playable, but we've DEFINITELY come far in better implementation. You know what this game reminds me of? Monster Inc Scream Team. Something about the tone of it, coupled with unlocking new moves which help with targets that can't be caught on the first run. I'd say the perfect game is a mix between the two, but again, it was fun. Though they definitely dropped the ball with marketing. I would've so loved some variation of the Grape Escape commercial. Just replace Grape with Ape.
Popular Post reaperveteran86
Platinum #276 Ultra Age (JP) Platinum - 54,88% The game your mother meant, when she said you have Nier Automata at home. The fights are really fun, but the game is on the shorter side (5-6 hours). Easy platinum. Platinum #277 Project Starship (EU) I told ya - 95,70% A hard shoot em up with an easy platinum. The premise (you and your starship against cosmic horror) and the Mad events were cool, but the controls of the starship felt a bit of and no continues in a shoot em up are not among my favourites in the genre. Platinum #278 Trials of Mana Trials of Mana - 39,06% First time playing this classic. The game was fun, but there is to little variation for the 3 playthroughs that are needed for the platinum. Thankfully Square Enix ethics department turned a blind eye on this one.
Popular Post Charizarzar
#163 Assassin's Creed Brotherhood (PS3) Julius Ceasar Enjoyment: 6/10 Difficulty: 6/10 I finally finished this off after 9 years, after a few days of stressful boosting and thinking I'd never get it done. The single player is enjoyable enough, but I gave up on the online a few years back thanks to unreliable servers that almost give Far Cry 2 a run for its money, and the Abstergo Employee of the Month trophy, one aspect of which involves getting 15 bonuses in a single match. This sounds straightforward enough - at least while boosting (I can't imagine how anyone could have got it legitimately, even when the online was active) - but it depends on how coordinated your team is and how prepared you are. With only a 10-minute timer, it can be stressful when you have so many people waiting on you for your turn. After a couple of failed attempts, I surprisingly managed to get it the following day in a half-hearted effort with my alt and just 2 other actual players. I thought the alt would slow things down as I'd need to switch screens to get it to help me set up the different kills I needed, but thankfully I only had to use it right at the end. The hours upon hours of XP boosting sessions were at least made better by the name of one of the people in my boosting group, made me laugh every time I saw it:
Popular Post StraightVege
Deus ex machina #293 5th Fastest Achiever (15 hours, 16 minutes) Unfortunately, this bottom of the barrel shmup has mind-numbingly basic gameplay, and it's riddled with highly questionable design choices. In Grood, you play as a headlight with a Gatling gun bolted on, which hurtles from left to right through rather bland levels, while various robotic enemies randomly spawn for you to shoot and dodge. Sometimes, they appear in such an unlucky pattern that avoiding damage is near impossible, or they instantly snipe you from off screen, before you can react. It is possible to activate a bullet time slow motion ability on occasion, but I found this to be largely worthless, only using it to safely grab health pick-ups, and to inflict a bit of risk-free damage on the scant few bosses. Getting hit also renders the game progressively less playable, because it applies a cracked screen effect, along with a sepia tone, greatly obscuring your vision. Just when you need to be at your best to recover from mistakes, the game essentially blindfolds you. Quite the galaxy brain idea! For whatever reason, Grood only begins to save your progress after stage 4, so if you get screwed over before then, prepare to start from the beginning. Very strange. That's basically it—almost no interesting hazards to avoid, or challenging enemy patterns to memorize. Outside of the boss encounters, this might be the most boring shooter I've ever played. It also commits the unforgivable sin of forcing me to grind out a "1000 deaths" trophy... sorry, but your game doesn't have anywhere near the content or difficulty to achieve that naturally; thank goodness for rubber bands. The only fun I managed to have was in using the late-game missile launcher weapon with a turbo controller, which totally breaks the game, including the audio. It literally looks like you're pissing a stream of missiles all over everything. Fantastic! I really need to stop buying the most random junk. Popular Post No longer here
#163 - Super Time Force Ultra Rating/Enjoyment: 8.5/10 Difficulty: 5/10 Time: 25 Hours PSNP Rarity: 2.35% PSN Rarity: 1.0% The game was fun and I did like what they did adding time as a mechanic! The characters were fun to use and the humor was pretty decent for me. Overall it was a fun time. I picked this game up cause I thought it reminded me of Broforce or Hotline Miami a bit lol. You do die in one hit technically, but with the time reversing mechanic makes it really unique and cool. The game is really short once you do beat it once and can probably beat it in one sitting. There wasn't really anything difficult about the game at all, until I got to the Helladeck Levels. Some of these were challenging while some were very needy in being precise and on time, meaning no error. The overall presentation and design of the game felt really nice while sometimes it felt sluggish and uncooperative with the gameplay. It gets so crazy that you cannot see the characters sometimes and it can mess up the momentum of the gameplay. Overall, not too much problems on that, the gameplay was flawless most of the time. I do have to admit there is a bit of a learning curve here and there but you will get used to it. The game is good and can give you some intensive fun gameplay. The game has an identity and knows how to distinguish itself from other indies or arcade like games. If you're a indie fan or fan of arcade like games, this is most def worth a try!! Cuphead DLC 100% What more can I say about this masterpiece DLC?! Just play it I don't have to say much lol 10/10 everything
