Popular Post Kefka1986
Platinum #138 - Digimon World: Next Order Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 4/10 I remember playing Digimon World as a kid and not being able to finish it due to a bug that the Pal version had, which made impossible to enter one of the dungeons. As I was browsing the psn store, I saw this game, a sequel for that game that I couldn't finish, and I just had to platinum it, in the name of my younger self! I really enjoyed the game, the story is cool, the graphics are perfect for the world, the digimon feel alive and there are a lot of them! So, why the 4/10? Well... while the game was great, earning the platinum was a grind-fest chore which wasn't fun at all. Just to give an overall idea: - There are some cards which randomly drop gathering materials. You need 540 of them, I finished the game playing normally with 130 aprox , so I just had to farm a little more than 400 cards. - There is another trophy for raising 200 different digimon. I never repeated a digimon while playing so I could lessen the grind for the endgame... I finished the game with 30 different digimons. So I just have to search for objects to achieve 170 more digimon... - The trainer level is another grind fest. You as a trainer gain experience and can level up, and there is a trophy for achieving the maximum level (50). When I finished the game, I was level 40... and to earn this one last trophy, I just have to keep going around in circles while doing other things, with two rubber bands around the joysticks of the controller, with my two digimon getting sad and shitting themselves over and over and over. Just like this, you can see and almost smell the hours I had to be running in circles to gain trainer experience: So, after doing everything in the story, and without anything more to do within the game, I had to keep doing boring chores for the sake of the platinum. Just because how unfunny that was, I just can give a 5 for the enjoyment part... I'm proud of myself though, I managed to conquer the game and restore the honor of my younger self!! ? Popular Post Akechi_Lokii
Platinum #20 Devil May Cry 3 (PS4) Fun: 10/10 Difficulty: 8,5/10 So I'll start the review by saying that I'm not the biggest hack and slash fan and I'm not that really good at it but I decided to give the DMC3 platinum a chance since I loved the game so much for it's gameplay and story that I decided to went for it. For those who are unfamiliar with the story I'll do a quick resume, the story is about two devil twin brothers Dante and Vergil, and their "dysfunctional" relationship, Dante being the protagonist, and as the story progresses you see their different ideals and why they are always fighting each other, even though they are brothers they have a big rivalry going on. The gameplay is simply perfect to say the least, it's the best hack and slash game I have ever had the honor to play, the combos are really fun and it gets even better when you finish the game for the first time because you unlock vergil as a playable character and the the game provides a good challenge depending on which difficulty you play, the game has a really good replayability like the Resident Evil games for example, in which you can do a lot of playthroughs and never get tired of it, that is really important especially if you are going for the platinum. Trophy wise it's probably the hardest game I ever did the platinum for, the S Rank was the hardest trophy for me although you can do it on easy it's still hard nonetheless beacause you have to get the timings of the mission perfectly, beating the game on Dante Must Die is hard but you can do it with the super costumes after you finish the game on Very Hard so no problem, same goes for bloody palace it's easily doable with the super costumes. I really recommend you playing Devil May Cry 3 if you love games with a very unique and fast gameplay, and with really interesting characters!

Popular Post yellowwindow7
Learn to Survive / The Evil Within 2 a decent game, the wiriting and the characters is terrible though. gameplay wise i at least had a blast playing it exploring each and every inch, especially on my first playthrough on Nightmare difficulty, No Cheatcodes used. my second playthrough is on casual to do some clean up and also enjoy using all the weapons i unlocked. my third playthrough on classic mode however is where i started to get so bored of the game it's basically nightmare mode as you're playing it from scratch all over again but no auto save and saves are limited and no upgrade this time, i died to one of these one hit cheap enemies event and the game restarted, got frustrated and used the cheatcodes went gunblazing and sprinting my way to be done with the game. at least i'm glad that the AKUMU Mode is not required to get the platinum this time, that dificulty is so cheap and a big BS in the first game. gameplay is at least fun to me as i kinda liked the open world stuff even though it's been done poorly as if the game doesn't even needs it. the meele attack is halfassed you can't land a meele hit unless you're hugging the enemy even if you picked an axe which had a slight long reach, aiming your gun is janky just like the first game, and sebastian still run like an old woman that if he runs 5 steps he got tired quickly. the enemies AI got tuned down even if you're playing on the higher difficulties, if you're killing an enemy using stealth while there's other ones whose spot you they'll enter a BACK OFF! mode until the stalth kill animation will end, the cover stealth kill is so OP you can lure an army of enemies to your hiding spot and you kill them one by one without them changing tactics. the story is still headscratching no news about Ruvik who actually escaped the Stem into the real world in the first game using a new body. they also send a technical expert to fix the computers inside the Matrix world of Stem, they basically could use that guy in the real world to fix the bugs and error of the system and be more useful, because aside of your body in the real life will die if your mind inside the Stem died but everyting you do inside the Stem basically will go poff! once you leave the Stem as it never happen before. i also find it hilarious that sebastian get's easily shocked by everything he sees in the evil within 2 with a surprised Pikachu face, while it should be normal to him by now after what is he been through in the first game which it was a lot worse and he's already aware and agreed to enter the new Stem this time. i kinda liked the first game a bit more even though i played the ps3 version of it which it's very rough and hard to go back to it now. the Evil Withing 2 only crashed on me once during the journy to plat it. the game hinted for a sequel too but i'm kinda skeptical about it now after i played this, also there maybe a chance that it won't be coming to playstation platforms after the MS massive buyout.. who knows, and microsoft will probably gonna turned the sequel into a live service using the cloud technilogy judging by their interest on these BS.
No longer here
#173 - Slay the Spire Rating/Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 7/10 Time: 60+ Hours PSNP Rarity: 3.87% PSN Rarity: 0.3% I don't like card games much tbh, but this one was a surpirse as i LOVED IT that much. The variety of builds with the characters were so fun to create throughout a run! I like my roguelikes and this was up my alley in that regard! This is the one exception where I tolerate cards since it works flawlessly. The RNG is pretty crazy in this game tbh, but it allows for experimentation which is why it works so well. I RECOMMEND this game to anyone! #174 - PAC-MAN WORLD: Re PAC (PS5) Rating/Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 5/10 Time: 12 Hours PSNP Rarity: 11.39% PSN Rarity: 1.3% Never played the original and I loved pac man as a kid so I decided to get this since I do love platformers! The game is fairly simple platforming wise but the aesthetic and charm of the game didn't make me put it down. It's very eye candy and all the references from the arcade games are there! The bosses were cool nothing too crazy but it really was enjoyable all the way through. I hope to see World 2 and 3 remastered at some point, can't recommend it enough! Little Nightmares 100% Rating/Enjoyment: 8.5/10 Difficulty: 5/10 Time: 15 Hours PSNP completion rate: 3.84% Wanted to play this years ago, finally got to it and wasn't disappointed! The graphics and presentation stood out for me but the LORE is the best part about the game! The puzzles were fine nothing too crazy but chase and stealth were well implemented. The DLC in general was good and brought out more answers in the world! Overall had a really fun time being immersed in this game. Only problem for me is that it can be tricky to find what to do next and that its way too short. Overall A great experience I can't wait to play the second game at some point!!

Popular Post YaManSmevz
Platinum #69: Lair of the Clockwork God Ben There, Dan That This isn't the sort of thing I'd normally try out but I heard good things, and I gotta say they were right. I loathe platforming and convoluted puzzle solving, the two things Lair's gameplay is predicated upon, yet I still walked away pretty damn satisfied. This thing is very funny and well-written, with that soundtrack serving as an unexpected secret weapon. It's on sale pretty regularly, so I do hope it starts getting a bit more popular. It's a good game, with enough challenge to stave off the dreaded EZPZ categorization but still doable within a few days. The sweet spot, I tells ya! Popular Post RedRodriguez87
#410: All Done Hoo boy, this one ended up being a trip right at the last minute. I don't want to spoil it, because it's free for PS plus and you should really check it out, but if I had a problem with Bear With Me playing itself like a silly raunchy story and then trying and failing to be deep and emotional at the home stretch, Last Stop does the complete opposite. Three stories of unconvincing fairly boring drama, and then in its final chapter this goes nuts and says screw it, let's lighten the mood here. Well okay, I won't say it's all bad. I really did like the story of John, as not only did it have that cheesy happy zappy feeling, I actually genuinely grew to like these characters and what they were going through. I did like the simplistic graphics, and now only main characters have a convincing amount of detail, with everybody else being literally faceless dolls. #411: All Done I didn't know what to expect of this one, as I did no research on it other than its Platinum Rarity percentage. At the end of the day, though I really did like it. The game looks really beautiful, and I love the idea it's story presents, this big gigantic space rock opera with wacky and memorable characters and locations. The story is a bit cliche, but it carried me through. I do have one negative with it though, and that in all areas, it ends up having a bit too much. A bit too much unneeded dialogue, levels that go on a bit too long, visual imagery that is a bit too garish, Boss fights that really could have done without at least one button input sequence. Again, I did enjoy it, and I do plan to revisit it some day, but that's only because I have a chapter select. Maybe outside getting a 1000g on Xbox one, I'm probably not going to do a whole new playthrough again. ....................... Reviewing this before I post it, I thought I made a typo and repeated All Done twice, but nope, those are actually the names of the two platinum's I coincidentally earned back-to-back. Pretty funny I guess. ........................ #412: Platinum I surprisingly don't have a lot to say about this one, considering how much I wanted to play it. I appreciate any studio not willing to necessarily follow the AAA trend of walking artsy-fartsy simulators. It's a flashy hack and slash game made by a small independent studio, which is the primary reason I wanted to support it, but I struggle to say anything else about it. The gameplay is fun, though I wish there were a wider variety of weapons instead of just sword variants. The story is very weak, with the whole lot of context and backstory missing. Voice acting is also pretty bad, but nothing annoying or irritating. If you like flashy hack and slash combat, that requires proper timing and learning of the mechanics, with difficulty that will punish button mashing, this game will definitely be up your alley.

Popular Post reaperveteran86
Platinum #291 Umihara Kawase BaZooKa! Kawase BaZooKa! - 54,07% Easy game where you clean one-screen levels from enemies with your fishing rod. Reminded me a lot of games like Bubble Bobble. 22 of the 29 trophies can be earned on the character selection screen, but for the rest you must play through the entire (short) game. Platinum #292 Gal*Gun 2 (EU) True Gal Gun Master - 22,59% Fun game. Hasn`t as much fan service as one would suspected from a game where the goal is to shoot girls to give them orgasms. The game plays like a VR game (no direct character movement, protagonist is only a hand/gun and has no body), which was a bit strange because the game dosen`t support VR and the first two games were rail shooters. I would say I`m waiting for a port of the remake of the first game but to say it in the style of Kurona the demon girl (antagonist of this game): There is no way in HELL that current year Sony would allow such a game on its platforms. And when they did they would censor the HELL out of it. Platinum #293 Krut: The Mythic Wings The Mythic Wings - 16,67% I bought this game because it reminded me of Actraiser 1 and 2 (protagonist with wings and sword fights in 2D levels against mythical creatures). To make it short, the game isn`t nearly as good as Actraiser 1 and 2 were. The controlls feel clunky and unresponsive at times, the enemies can take ten hits and stand, meanwhile they can kill you in 3 to 4 hits and there is an odd design choice, that you do half the damage when you on the ground, which makes the damage sponge enemies even spongier (is this even a word?). There are some nice levels (the 4. and 6. had a really nice and atmospheric theme) but you have to play through the game 3 - 4 times for the platinum (no stack for difficulty related trophies). At least the game was short (one playthrough is ca. 1 hour - may vary depending on the difficult)
Popular Post sa7355735502
My latest platinum is Virtue's Last Reward, which I didn't realise had been delisted. I believe I had it as a PS Plus give away in recent years. I've not got too many visual novels on my rapsheet but what I like about them is the fact you can dip in and out of them whilst doing other things. My main aim is to try and get my earned trophy count as high as realistically possible, I've got loads of games on my account from years ago before I really got into trophy hunting. Having the Vita and several years of downloads to try adds some variety and fun to this. A Vita is still great for a work commute!

Doing the MyFaction mode was a grind and a half - not overly difficult, just more frustrating and long. Saved the final trophy for being the one for beating Roman Reigns on Legend difficulty. Popular Post Mirrors1118
Platinum #257: South Park: The Fractured But Whole Was a bit worried when I see the developer of this game changed from Obsidian to Ubisoft but I'm relieved because this game is a total banger! The combat is much better than Stick of Truth as it requires more strategy and each enemy has their own unique set of attacks. In Stick of Truth I would just spam Jew class ultimate and enemy encounter would usually end in around 1-2 turns. However I do miss the mini games when you use certain moves in Stick of Truth. In this game there are more allies to choose from and imo they are all very good except Coon which makes playing Casa Bonita on mastermind difficulty kinda tough. Playing on mastermind difficulty is challenging but pretty fair. Only nitpick is I wish sometimes I can speed up battle animation a little bit. The boss fights are well thought out and some have unique mechanics. I love that FBW starts off the story by showing everyone playing Stick of Truth and kinda ease you into the game and gives some throwbacks. But I'm kinda torn on the story becuase I love that this game has a more coherent story than SoT but the ending feels pretty anticlimatic. The final boss fight was not challenging at all compared to some previous boss fights and the story just ended so abruptly. I'm glad that there are only technically one missable trophy in this game compared to Stick of Truth which almost half of the trophy list are missable trophies. In the end I would say both South Park games are equally as good. I saw that the third entry of South Park had been teased so hopefully it will be just as good as the first two games!
