Popular Post Trancexistence
#17 - One Night Stand This was a fairly interesting choose your own path style visual novel with point & click elements in which a guy wakes up in a stranger's bed after a night of drinking. The point & click sections are used to explore your surroundings and to attempt to piece together what happened the night before. I enjoyed the hand drawn animation style used and that was probably the highlight for me. Each playthrough is brief but the story does a pretty good job of conveying the, at times, awkwardness people can feel after these kinds of encounters The only thing I didn't like was the inability to impact what transpires in any meaningful way and there were only a couple of the 12 endings that I considered satisfactory. It could have been even better with a bit more substance to it. Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 1.5/10 Total Game Time: 3 hours
Popular Post Undead Wolf
#423 - The Darkness II Conquered the Darkness Unlock all trophies I remember watching an LP of this game back when it launched in 2012. It's crazy to think that was 10 years ago. No sure why it took me so long to play it myself, but I'm glad I did. I don't have any experience with the original game or the comic book series it was based on, but thankfully this game includes a nice "Previously on The Darkness" movie to catch you up to speed. It didn't take me long to get invested in the story. I found the main character, Jackie, quite compelling. I love the monologues you get with him in-between levels. Really good voice acting. And speaking of voices, I think The Darkness itself has a great one. Anyone who's played the game knows what I mean. ? The combat is really fun. It's a solid first person shooter at its core, but The Darkness powers you get helps to separate it from everything else. You can use it to grab and throw objects in the environment, execute enemies in brutal ways, summon a swarm of insects, and eat people's hearts to name a few things. The downside is that bright lights will mess you up. Your screen will go black and white, the light itself will blind you, and of course you can't use your powers. A lot of the lights can be easily shot out, but some are either a bit more tricky because they're linked to a generator you have to find or they can't be destroyed at all. There's also enemies that bring giant lights with them. It makes sense to have that weakness, but it can get a little annoying in some areas where it feels like you're constantly being disorientated by lights. This is an easy platinum by PS3 standards. There's a trophy for beating the game on its highest difficulty, but it's not very challenging, especially since it's best done on NG+ where you carry over your powers and upgrades from the previous playthrough. The game is also short, with the main campaign only taking about 5 hours on the first playthrough, and it's even quicker on the second playthrough when skipping the cutscenes and dialogue. There's a sort of co-op side campaign that has a bunch of trophies tied to it, but you get most of them just by beating it. That doesn't take very long either and you can play it on the easiest difficulty if you want. Other than that, there's a trophy for getting all the collectibles, and your typical "kill X amount of enemies with X" trophies, but so long as you're aware of them as you go through the campaign, you'll get them without needing to grind. Really simple stuff. The game ends on a cliffhanger which kind of sucks. It would be nice if we got a 3rd game someday, although given how it's been 10 years since the 2nd one came out now, it's probably not likely.

Time to Platinum: 37 Hours ⚔️ Difficulty: 2/10 ⏩️ Playthroughs: 1 I think this is the first time I've Plat a game without a trophy guide! Pros ✅️ Great Blend of RTS and turned based RPG mechanics ✅️ Characters Designs Cons ❌️ Story takes a while to get going ❌️ Battles become repetitive after about 20 hours. I recommend grabbing it when it's dropped in price. 6/10

Popular Post acidkai_ak
#100: Ultra Street Fighter IV Trophy Collector Attain all Trophies! The path of the warrior demands this from those who walk on it! My most difficult game I've plated yet. I liked this game because of the characters and nostalgia. Let me say this. Anyone can this game if they put in the work. I'm not great at fighting games so if I could do it, you can too. Done everything with my regular PS4 controller.
whodeygamer
#34: Spirit of the North: Enhanced Edition I was debating between playing this, Spider Man: Miles Morales, or Stray first. I think I may have made the right call getting this one out of the way first rather than saving it for last. This is a good example of graphics not being everything. Sure this game looks beautiful, but the wonky controls at times along with basically needing a video guide to get all the collectibles made this game more of a short slog rather than an enjoyable experience. (I’m mainly talkin to you Chapter 7! ?)

Popular Post Nauticus87
#667, 668 and 670 - Sly Trilogy (PS3) I had originally played Sly 1 and 2 on Vita back in 2016. To say I didn't really enjoy the experience might be an understatement. It took me nearly 4 weeks to get through both of them, dropping them multiple times. However that was then, 6 years can change a lot of things. Why I was practically a new man these days. This time I would do the entire trilogy. So, I booted up Sly 1. Flew through it in just over a day. Did not enjoy it. Apparently you can teach an old dog new tricks but you can't make him enjoy a game. Still, that was Sly 1. Sly 2 surely must be better. Booted it up. Flew through it in just over 3 days. Did not enjoy it. Well now, this was getting to be a bit disappointing. Still, I'd said I would do the trilogy and the gaming masochist in me was determined to give it a fair try. Perhaps a new Sly would be exactly what I needed. A fresh mind. After a quick detour to get platinum #669, Top Run, a fun if repetitive endless runner game where I also got 2nd fastest achiever, I put on Sly 3. I played the prologue then immediately closed the game. Opened it again. Spent 7 minutes doing the bonus minigames. Quick 100% there. Right, enough distractions. I booted up Sly 3. Flew through it in just over 3 days. Did not enjoy it. Though at this point I was indoctrinated, I knew Sly, I knew what would happen, every failed jump because the controls didn't respond, every awkward camera moment, every unskippable cutscene, none of it phased me, been there and done that. Just over a week to do the trilogy wasn't bad. I don't necessarily regret doing it either, but I sure as heck would not be doing it a third time if the trilogy ever got re-released. Popular Post Rias Gremory
Platinum #999 Spiderman: Miles Morales PS5 Common: 50.92% Difficulty: 2/10. Enjoyment: 10/10. Challenge: 9/10. Music: 8/10. Story Mode: 8/10. Genre: Action, Adventure, Open World, Single Player, Shooting and Beat em up. Grind Difficulty: 4/10. Platinum Time: 2 days and 4 hours. It's good to be back on Miles Morales and platinum this game went pretty good actually. I have really notice the difference in it's old quality to next-gen quality itself. Of course I'm talking about the PS5 Console as well. 1080p at 60 FPS or higher quality response time was good enough for me. I can say for certain that Miles Morales did a good job trying to be the next Spiderman in the making. However in minor contrast, he can be bit of a sissy and a push-over but hey in the end he turned to be a great decent fellow in the end. All the activities in the open world were easy enough but never been much challenging and all of em were to easy for me. Don't get me wrong I really have enjoyed the challenges and produced good results and I can't argue, bitched nor complained about it. Oh yes I did want to mentioned to you guys. The costumes itself were very authentic and great looks when changing em but honestly, I forgot which one I did wanna show it to you guys but I do have a great and awesome screenshots including the platinum that I wanna it to you all. I have decided to NOT auto-pop the trophies for Miles Morales on PS5 but instead I did it the hard way and took it like a man and played it manually. I really wanna feel out the experience on the next-gen games and see what I can make out of it. Now that I have upgraded all of my Spiderman gadgets, skill settings and other shits, I went on and work over other places that I needed to do before finishing off story mode not once but twice. I wished it was completing the game once but twice is one way looking at it I supposed. Platinum Trophy Stan Lee! Spoiler Best Fries In Town Trophy! Spoiler JJJ Would Be Proud! Spoiler 100x Combo Trophy! Spoiler I gonna think for my next 1000th platinum milestone which has the four digit numbers nonetheless. It'll remained to be seen until I know what exactly I wanted from out of this shit. Highly recommend for this game. Next 1000th Platinum Milestone Goal: ??? Popular Post viech54
Spirit of the North: Enhanced Edition Master of Light Complete all other Trophies in Spirit of the North I was surprised this is trophy is ultra rare (PSN rarity) considering it's not a difficult game and the collectibles don't take long to find with a guide. The game's only about 10 hours long, too. Jumping in this game sometimes lacks precision and the last map before the end of the game is hard to navigate, but it was an overall alright experience. Not GOTY material, but also not bad. Use a guide right from the start if you want to collect everything without using chapter select later on, especially for chapter 7.
