Popular Post PooPooBlast
#180 AI: The Somnium Files AI Somnium was a great VN from the makers of 428 Shibuya Scramble, Dangaronpa and Zero Escape. In AI Somnium, you follow Date, an amnesiac who is put in charge of a murder investigation. Soon enough, you'll discover that more murders are happening and your job is to find the culprit behind all this. In AI Somnium, the gameplay consists of just reading/interacting with your surroundings but also its main feature is that you can enter a subject's dream to gather clues about the investigation. The idea is that dreams are just a collection of memories that somebody has experienced and are put together by the brain to tell a story when all are merged together. And therefore it makes for an interesting scenario where you try to piece together fragmented clues from people's dreams to find the culprit behind the serial killing that's ongoing in the game. Aside from the "who dun it," mystery, there's also tons of comedic relief in the form of crude humour which had me cracking up at times. It may not be everybody's cup of tea but it has this classic Japanese "pervy jokes," which the Yakuza series is full of and is something I'm already well-acquainted with. Overall, I'd highly recommend AI: The Somnium files if VNs are your thing. I don't think it quite reaches the heights of Steins;Gate, 428 Shibuya Scramble, the Zero Escape games or 13 Sentinels Aegis Rim (which you should go play right now by the way), but it was still fantastic and I'm excited to play its sequel. With that said, onto the next! Edited October 16, 2022 by PooPooBlast

Popular Post grimydawg___
146 Monster Hunter World Fun: 10/10 Hours for Platinum: 400 hours I will primarily work on both versions on NBA 2K23 and continue on the Iceborne expansion, but my next platinum trophy will probably be Syphon Filter or Saints Row. The Monster Hunter Series is one of my favorites, certainly in my top 10. Other than the annoying Arena Quests (they were boring), the game wasn't too bad. RNG for crowns is whatever. Some monsters I got both crowns within fighting them ten times (well, besides the guaranteed crowns on Events), others I had to fight almost 100, like the dang Teostra.... I look forward to dealing with the Black Air Force Energy, aka Rajang some more on Iceborne LOL Edited October 17, 2022 by grimydawg___
Popular Post Bloke
#33 Demon's Souls Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 I spent a ungodly amount of time preparing for this run. I absolutely love the Souls franchise and I have wanted to speedrun the titles for a very long time. Demon's Souls was my first souls game quite some time ago, so my appreciation for this game has always been there. Shaved close to 30 mins off my previous time, doing more runs in between my last attempt with a different strategy. Popular Post TuomasH92
Deathloop /100% #523 Difficulty: 4½/10 Time: No idea about the playtime, but too long ? Enjoyment: 4/10. I have very mixed feelings about this game; at some points I liked it and sometimes I hated it. My thaughts about the game changed like rollercoaster. Overall Deathloop was barely a mediocre experience to me and it took over a month to 100% because of that. I had to force myself to finally finish the story and earn all the trophies. Prey and Mooncrash dlc from the same dev was way better and more fun to play. Edited October 17, 2022 by TuomasH92

Popular Post Celestial_Lily
Platinum #110 - Chernobylite (PS5) Fun: 1/10 Difficulty: 2/10 Time taken: 8-10 hours I think? I kind of regret buying this to be honest. I remember seeing it bback when it was on steam early access and it looked very much like a horror-y set-in-chernobyl fps game, with some base building and survival elements in. Which it really wasn't. Had about as much atmospheric tension as a wet napkin, and most of it was set in the same handful of explorable areas. The combat was decidedly atrocious, base building threadbare at best, and the areas never really changed or had something new if you were back in there for the fourth time in a row due to the main story missions. I honestly don't really have anything positive to say about it? Maybe the music was good at some moments. I'm glad I'm done though! If not a little disappointed in the end. tl;dr: it's a walking simulator in disguise Thanks for reading Lily's Post-Plat review! ? Popular Post KenjiCBZ
#82: Dragon Ball FighterZ Trophy Triumphant (2.97% - Ultra Rare) Acquire all trophies. I consider this game as the spiritual successor of the Ps1 title Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Battle 22. I didn't really have a good time with it, because it's just not my kind of game: when it comes to fighting games, I'm simply a Tekken guy. Any other fighting game, I already know I will not like it, especially if it a 2D game like this one. Most Dragon Ball games are fighting games too, but they were never thought to be played competitively, unlike this one. The only reason why I played it is because it's a Dragon Ball game. The gameplay just wasn't made for me: as a Tekken guy, it was very weird, to say the least, the fact that a certain button does a kick on one character, and a punch on another. Thankfully, the Platinum Trophy is not difficult at all to obtain since there are various workarounds for the hardest Trophies, and I actually think that out of my Ultra Rare Platinums, it's either DBZ Ultimate Tenkaichi or this one as my easiest. The only hard Trophy was the one that requires to get an S Rank in Arcade Mode: during the last fight, the AI suddenly becomes busted and you either are a pro player or you spam the same moves and hope for luck. It took me some tries, but I pulled it off. The story mode also wasn't nothing special: I found it very repetitive and not catchy at all, but I appreciate how they tried something different than the usual DBZ story we all know and that has been told hundreds of times in the previous games. Overall, not a funny Platinum, but it's one step closer in my journey to Plat all the Dragon Ball games. I hope I will have a better time with the newly released Dragon Ball: The Breakers, that I will start tomorrow. Popular Post Trancexistence
#20 - Everybody's Gone To The Rapture I've been on a bit of a first person exploration binge over the last couple of weeks as you might be able to tell by a few such games near the top of my profile. One of those games is Dear Esther, referred to by many as the original "walking simulator". Everybody's Gone To The Rapture serves as a spiritual successor to it and both were developed by The Chinese Room. It's an extremely polarising game and I totally get why. A lot of the frustration I see levelled at it is directed at the admittedly very slow walking speed. For me it wasn't an issue and I loved the pacing of it and exploring the detailed environments whilst tying up all the story threads. I suffer from anxiety and I found it very soothing to play for the reasons I just mentioned. It's definitely a game I can see myself returning to in the future for a replay of the story. Trophy wise I didn't have problems with any of them unlocking. It took me two full playthroughs with one for triggering all story events and getting the collectibles followed by a far shorter second playthrough which took me around an hour or so where you basically walk to the end of the game without triggering any of the story events whilst again collecting the radios along the way for a second time. Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Total Game Time: 8 hours Next up for me is probably going to be the Life is Strange series and I'm also chipping away at Ridge Racer on Vita and Dirt 5.

SIick_50_
Islanders - Plat #97 A cute and relaxing puzzle game with some interesting building mechanics and score multipliers that lend a nice reprieve from some more hardcore games. The overall idea is to construct your island in a way that lends to the most points being acquired using buildings and other items that pair well together. Worth a try and a change of pace if you’re looking for a slight challenge with more of a relaxing tone

Popular Post Viscera1900
#346 - Resident Evil: Code Veronica X Slayer of Evil "Unlock all trophies." Resident Evil: Code Veronica X was my first "classic" RE game that I've played 11 years ago and it was the root of my love for RE games with fixed camera angles, tank controls, item management and insane & satisfying amount of puzzles. When I first played this in 2011; I failed to complete it on my first ever playthrough, because I was inexperienced with classic RE formula; I used healing items more frequently early on and wasted too much ammunitions on regular zombies for no reason. Eventually I put the game on 1,5 year hiatus before coming back to it in 2013, but this time around I had the experiences of RE1, RE2 and RE3 in my back pocket. Even after completing RE: Code Veronica X’s story mode back then; I could never imagine myself going for A rank for this game, because the requirements for it were insane and beyond my abilities back then. Fast forward to 2022; I finally decided to play & complete Resident Evil: Code Veronica X as part my spooky October games theme. Being about two decades old game; It's basic gameplay and requirements for A rank are very demanding compared to more modern RE games. Going for Resident Evil: Code Veronica X platinum trophy was really heart-racing experience; I had to complete the game under 4 hours and 30 minutes with no saves. It sounds simple enough, but in reality it's much harder than it looks. Even if you paused the game with start button or suspend it with PS button; the timer still goes on; meaning I had to play this in one sitting / 4 hours straight without breaks at all if I really wanted to get that A rank for Rocket Launcher. With that being said and done, I actually enjoyed the experience; it felt good to come back to this game after a decade and conquer it. I really hope Resident Evil 2 (PS1) and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis (PS1) get trophy support when they get released in future, because I really enjoyed hunting trophies on RE games with classic formula.
