Popular Post slender_adrian
#106 Difficulty: 6/10 100% Completion: 6/10 (DLC used) Enjoyment: 10/10 Grind: 3/10 Time: 100 hours? Rarity: [Ultra Rare 0.4% / Ultra Rare 2.80%] “I’ll show you dead weight.” I remember when Devil May Cry 5 was announced, man after 10 years we could finally see our favorite devil hunters back in action. DMC5 is an amazing game and an incredible hack & slash that’s for sure, but in my opinion what DMC5 did best was introducing new players to DMC, and that’s thanks to DmC Devil May Cry. Yup, that reboot changed the series, I liked the reboot it was something different just how they planned. DMC5 is very westernized, there’s no gothic anime vibe this time, and I liked this new change of image, feels fresh just like DmC. There are plenty of changes in this game, and I really liked most of them, for example I liked way way way more Devil Breakers than Devil Bringer from DMC4 (in gameplay of course hahaha), but I’ll admit that at the time I was very confused with a lot of the changes this game, mainly in its look but I got used to it eventually, still miss my gothic anime vibes. Man, if you haven’t played a DMC game, DMC5 is a really good starting point if you are hesitant from playing the classics. The platinum… very infamous plat among trophy hunters, some say is a nightmare, others gave it a 10/10 difficulty, some says that S ranking the hardest difficulties is a hell. But for me, as much as I would like to continue the legend of this plat or to say I platinum a 10/10 game, the truth is this plat is at most a 6/10 for me. Which means is by far way easier than the infamous plat people say it is. Of course, I’m no DMC god, hell I was scared of this plat, I thought it was going to be a pain compared with the HD Collection, but what a letdown and what a huge relief was to see how this plat was working out for me. Difficulty is a subjective manner, if you look at my profile you probably would guess I’m very good on DMC but the truth is I only have knowledge and experience with those game, no master at all. Here’s the thing, DMC Devil May Cry is probably the only DMC game a lot of people played, and seeing how DMC5 got so popular is normal to see new players to the franchise attempting to get this plat, and no wonder why this plat is so infamous. If you want this plat don’t let what other people says about it discourage you about going for it, it’s not a 10/10 plat nor an impossible task, the S Rank guide here on PSNP (which is one of the best guides I’ve seen here, top quality, straight to the point and no fancy or useless stuff) rates this game a 7/10 or 8/10 at most, and I totally agree with it. Let me put it this way, the hardest part is S ranking all missions on all difficulties, so if you could s rank Human you can s rank Devil Hunter, if you could s rank Devil hunter then you can s rank Son of Sparda, if you could s rank SOS you can s rank Dante Must Die, and if you could s rank Dante Must Die... my friend you can s rank Hell and Hell. Just keep trying and eventually you’ll get it. There are many reasons why I wouldn’t dare to rate this plat above a 6/10, one reason being there are a lot of cheesy methods you can abuse, for example Mr. Faust or the checkpoint exploit. This two make this plat a more manageable task, once you learn how to use Faust, Dante’s missions will become a walk in the park. V is probably the easiest character to get S ranks without too much effort and there’s Nero. Some people are really afraid of Nero’s missions, well all I can say is that Nero is my favorite character playing with and I didn’t have to much trouble with his missions. I had a pretty awesome time with Nero, all you need is the Gerbera devil breaker and you're good to go. There was this mission, mission 8, which was the one that game me must problems on Hell and Hell, took me about 2 hours to pull it out, so no 7 hours on single levels like some say. I’m not saying this is an easy plat, it will still require a lot of practice and patience, but don’t let what other people says about this platinum discourage you from getting it, keep trying and you will eventually get it. I play this game by accident on my account back on 2020 only getting the prologue trophy, so my timestamp is messed up, it took me 2 weeks and 2 days to get the plat which was a pretty good timestamp, considering I didn't play some days and other days I played for very few hours. This plat has become on of my favorites, incredible time spent with DMC5. Totally recommend this plat to anyone up for a decent challenge. If you want this plat don’t let what other people says about it discourage you for getting it, it’s not a 10/10 difficulty plat nor an impossible task. "Don't you dare say it— Jackpot!" Here are some tips and advices if anyone is interested: Spoiler 1. The most important advice and the one that will make you get this plat without too much trouble is to get the plats on the HD Collection. While doing so you’ll have enough experience to take this plat out of the way. Trust me it helps a lot starting from the bottom, DmC is not worth as practice since the gameplay is way different of a classic DMC game by Capcom. I got the HD Collection platinum twice, on my ps3 and ps4 you can check my profile to see the change between both. So 6 plats there, easy practice. 2. Get used of doing no hit runs, trust me this is not that hard, if you haven’t play DMC 5, play the game casually and when you start working on your plat start doing no hit runs, this no-hit run will guarantee you a S rank on must missions (excluding 8), but for the rest of the missions, doing no hit runs is the easy way to get S ranks. There’s the checkpoint exploit, get used to it too, it’s tedious but it will help you a lot. Also keep in mind that this checkpoint exploit, is good practice for Hell and Hell. 3. Don’t play stylishly, there’s really no point on doing that, the only mission I recall playing stylishly was mission 8 with Nero, that’s the only mission I was worried about Stylish Points. I learn the hard way not to play stylishly, a lot of retries just because I got fancy. Of course, this advice only really applies from SOS until Hell and Hell while getting no hit runs, since normal and easy aren’t too big of a deal. If you get hit you can always make up for it with stylish points. 4. Approach the plat on the way you feel must comfortable. My route was playing it on easy first while doing a “100%” run (collectibles, secret missions, miscellaneous trophies, etc.), and then I was getting S ranks on Human and Devil Hunter on my own, while moving to SOS I started to use the S Rank guide here on PSNP, which is all that I used for the S ranks. But I highly advice to get S ranks on a single difficulty level at a time, don’t S rank missions individually on devil hunter all the way to hell and hell. For example, doing mission 3 on human, then on devil hunter, then on SOS and so on, this will be turn against you. 5. Enemies won’t attack you while they aren’t on screen. This is probably the most helpful mechanic in this game, enemies won’t attack if they aren’t on screen, this work for any time of enemy so is a mandatory that you learn how to master this (which requires pretty much from you only to move the camera avoiding enemies), this way you can kill enemies of screen with all characters. But there’s a catch, enemies wont attack if they aren’t on screen, but if a enemy appears for 1 second, and only a bit of the enemy model, that’s enough for it to start an attack, so always keep your eyes peeled. The 100% Experience: Spoiler After getting the plat I still had left quite a few trophies to get, one of which was meant for clearing Bloody Palace with Nero, Dante, and V. This trophy didn’t take to much effort at this point Super Costumes were available so no big deal. But from this 3, Dante’s run was the “hardest” to get. With that out of the way there’s only Vergil DLC, which is paid. This require that you get all his skills (shouldn’t be a big deal since you probably at this point will have more than 3 million red orbs, since clearing the S ranks and Bloody Palace x3 will make you rich), clear all missions, and to clear Bloody Palace with Vergil. This is where things get interesting, Vergil DLC requires pretty much 3 things, get all his skills (again this will be no problem since you should be rich at this point), clear all missions and to clear Bloody Palace. The only tricky part on this is getting pass those 101 Bloody Palace floors, to make this easier I bought the Vergil DLC which unlocks its super costume, it really helped a lot but is not a walk in the park. I still had to learn how to play with Vergil, and it took me 3 attempts to pass all floors of Bloody Palace. I died on Cavalry boss the first time, the second time I died on Vergil and the third time was the good try. Keep in mind that’s why I rated 100% completion a 6/10, since you can go the easy way by buying the DLC. You can attempt Bloody without the dlc or if you don’t want to pay for it you can still unlock it by clearing DMD with Vergil. Pretty much that was it. Popular Post Kefka1986
Platinum #142 - Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 3/10 Sooooo I was playing Crash Bandicoot when this game appeared in a recent topic on this forum. I've never heard about the game, I saw it was free, played for a few hours on the Epic Store and decided that I wanted to get this platinum. In this game, you power up some your heroes while they automatically attack and defeat hordes of enemies. After every enemy is defeated, you advance to the next level. The more levels you beat, the more resources you get, so you can power up your champions and reach further the next time you play. The main problem is that after a few days, it got sooooo boring. This game has some interesting features further down the road, but you have to travel through hours and hours of repeating the same thing over and over to reach there, with very little input from the player. I played it while doing other things, but as a game, it wasn't for me. It has a very active community but I won't be part of it.
Popular Post ZitMeatloaf
Another five in the bag! I know the world awaits with bated breath, so here's the info you crave: #121 - Foreclosed "Closed File" Difficulty: 2.5/10 Enjoyment: 6/10 This game has a cool comic book art style and a decent story, but the gameplay gets old kinda quick. Thankfully it's a short game and can be completed in one day. Be careful when gathering collectables, if you get one and die before the next autosave the collectable won't reappear for you to collect again. I'd recommend backing up your save frequently after you successfully snag some collectables and save the game. #122 - Last Stop "All Done" Difficulty: 3.5/10 Enjoyment: 6/10 Another game I thought was decent, but not great. The story starts out interesting, but gets more and more ridiculous as it continues. A couple of the mini games/QTE's are a bit tricky, which wouldn't be so bad if you didn't have to backtrack to an autosave that occurred several minutes prior to try again. It probably took me about 8 tries of tossing beer bottles to hit everything, and each time I failed I had to play through the opening credits again because they didn't put an autosave after the credits. Those jerks! Also, Meena seems like an awful person and is one of the least-likeable video game characters I've encountered in quite awhile. #123 - Monopoly Madness "Mr. Monopoly" Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 6/10 I don't much care for Monopoly the board game, so thankfully for me this game doesn't play like traditional Monopoly. It's a party game where you try to secure as much property as possible and can destroy/steal other player's property, while simultaneously needing to defend your own. It's not my usual kind of game, but I'm participating in the Platinum Every Genre challenge, and this game satisfied the Business category. My difficulty rating is based on the randomness of the bonuses handed out after each game; more of an RNG rating than a difficulty rating. #124 - Job Simulator "Platinum Proprietor" Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 I loved this fun little VR game! My sense of humor jives perfectly with the game, and it's fun to do the jobs as poorly as possible. I think the Chef's job was my favorite, but they're all a blast. The field of space needed to play this game is wider than any other VR game I've played thus far, and playing in a chair with arms doesn't work so well. I'd recommend standing if you're going to play this one. #125 - Astro Bot Rescue Mission "Star Lord" Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 I could have finished this game sooner, but decided to save it for my 125th milestone because I was loving the game so much. It's my favorite VR game so far by a mile, and it's one of the best platforming games ever made. Everything looks, feels, and responds so much smoother than any other VR game I've played up to this point. Very highly recommended. Popular Post Viscera1900
#347 - The Last of Us Part I It can't be for nothing "Collect all trophies" Another game for my spooky/horror October theme. So I've been itching to replay The Last of Us Part I for some time now. I was somewhat stoked when they announced TLoU1 for PS5. But like everyone else; I don't think the game is worth 70€/80€ price tag, because TLoU1 for PS5 is very much exactly the same game as TLoU1 that was released for PS3 & PS4 gameplay and story wise. They didn't bother to expand TLoU1's lore at any capacity and I think it was a wasted opportunity. The only differences compared to PS3&PS4 versions are graphics and some accessibility features. Visually The Last of Us Part I for PS5 is very gorgeous looking game; it made the game worth revisiting for me. Trophy wise it's much easier list to complete; the new accessibility features and PS5 activity card features made collectibles trophies much more pleasant and easier to complete. Overall I really enjoyed revisiting The Last of Us Part I; it's one of my top favorite games of all time and that opinion still holds after replaying it over the past week. Popular Post Mirrors1118
Platinum #265 + 100%: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Game of the Year Edition One of my favorite ps4 games. Was waiting for the ps5 version but saw the GOTY edition on sale for like 8 bucks so I had to grab it. The first time I played this game it was back in 2018. The game starts kinda slow and I stopped playing when I reached Velen becuase everywhere I look it's always swamps and Death March difficulty is kicking my butt. Picked up the game again 2 years later and found out how awesome this game is. Unlike most games where choices don't matter and they all lead to the same outcome, the main and side quests have different outcomes based on your actions. Sometimes it's really hard to make a decision. The world changes based on your decisions in the game and it feels alive. I also love Geralt's interactions with different characters. Only thing I wish is that the world activities reward more exp. The first time I finished this game I only did the side quests while ignoring the world activies and I ended up level 52. This time I completed almost all side quests and all the world activities (even all these Skellige question marks which is definitely not worth it...) and I'm only like half level higher than my first playthrough... Both of the DLCs are amazing. After the swamps and corpses in Velen, the rains and storms in Skellige, Toussaint feels like a breath of fresh air and I'm glad Geralt can finally take a break from slaying monsters and chill in Corvo Bianco. Only wish you can invite more characters to Corvo Bianco. Platinum isn't too hard. Death March difficulty becomes easier once you progress. Even the grindiest trophies don't require a lot of time. Will probably play it again when ps5 version is out. Looking forward to new games from the Witcher series! Story: 8.5/10 Visual: 9/10 Gameplay:8.5/10 Side Quest:10/10 DLC:10/10 Gwent:10/10 Platinum Difficulty:4/10 Overall: 9.9/10 Geralt with the 4th wall break Decided to go with Triss this time Hocus-pocus...Abracadabra...Arse blathanna...
