Popular Post whodeygamer
#35: Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales (PS5) While this game is shorter than Marvel’s Spider-Man, thankfully this one lacks the most annoying aspects that the previous game had, those being the MJ stealth sections and the Screwball challenges. Hopefully that will end up being the case in the next Marvel’s Spider-Man game as well.

Popular Post kkulifay
Battlefield I (PS4) Platinum +100% DLC Picked up the Battlefield 1 Premium Edition for $10 a couple months ago. It was a steal! Dogfighting, blowing up zeppelins, epic tank battles, a fascinating story line, and all the memorable MP battles make this a strong recommendation. I got my &@$ kicked most of the time when I played with randoms! Rest assured, the MP community is very friendly and the base game servers are still very active. However, the DLC servers are not. Operation-related DLC trophies take a lot of coordinating since you need at least 20 players to start. It’s like herding cats getting everyone on at the same time, especially on an international timezone, but when it goes live, it’s magical lol. I’ve met a few cool friends on this journey too. The campaign on hard is easier than COD games IMO, so it’s a good entry level platinum for beginner FPS games. Missions are diverse and the sound effects are fantastic. Definitely my favorite World War game to date.
Popular Post jsisoo
#122: Batman: Arkham Origins (PS3) Difficulty: 6.5/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 Time: 50+ hrs Not the best game in the Arkham series, but still enjoyable despite it's flaws. The camera is a struggle to deal with, especially in combat, while traversing Gotham is not as smooth as it's predecessors. The main issue trophy-wise would be trying to access the MP, and finding a group willing to persevere through the 40+ minute wait to even connect. Thankfully I found a great group right here on PSNP. Couldn't have met a better bunch and the six of us still have our own regular chat group. This was also the first ever boosting session I was involved with, so it will live long in the memory. My 2nd rarest Platinum!
Popular Post Starrk_01
Plat #213: Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-Shot Adventure (PS4) This is just the DLC from Borderlands 2 sold separately as a stand alone game. However I got it through PS+. Still runs 100 times better than Borderlands 3, though the one crash in the game was AFTER my brother and I beat the final boss on the harder difficultly (where arguably we were under leveled). Of course it didn't save the win so we had to do it again but for some reason we got to keep the experience gained.

Popular Post MidnightDragon
#93 Stray This was one of the most fun games I've played in a while. Being a cat is awesome and, of course, the kitty is quite adorable. The game took some creepy and emotional turns I certainly wasn't expecting. The jump mechanics do take a little bit of getting used to, but not too bad. The atmosphere of the game just feels awesome, too. If you haven't played it, do so! If you have PS+ Extra or Premium, no reason not to! Wish I had done it sooner. Will be playing this again on PS5 when I get one.

Another PS1 classic double platinum is in the books. Whenever I finish 1 version of a PS1 classic, I always prefer to go for the 2nd version straight away afterward as the game is fresh in my head and I'm able to just get it done very efficiently. My first memory of the Everybody's Golf franchise was playing the demo of the 2nd game back in the day. Turns out Everybody's Golf 2 wasn't much different at all from the 1st game, it felt extremely familiar despite my not playing the 1st game before. Also, thank god for the rewind feature that was implemented into these classic titles, I would bet that it was made just for this haha. Trying to get holes in one and an albatross would be a nightmare if you couldn't use rewinds. 1 last PS1 classic to go (for now), 2 versions of Wild Arms. Those might take a little longer though. Popular Post Piggie_Pie
13 years, 2 children, and 99 platinum trophies later... #100 I thought it would be fitting to have Fallout 4 be my 100th platinum since Fallout 3 was my first platinum trophy earned 13 years ago. Lot's has happened since then... 2 console generations have come and gone (not really gone... just passed by new generations). Fallout 4 was a fun game and I will always have a place in my heart for the Fallout games. Popular Post disaster500
#44 Uncharted 4: A Thief's End Great game on the first playthrough with a great story and the best villain in the series imo (Rafe). However the second playthrough was kind of tedious, as 4 focuses more on story than the first 3 and has combat more spread out. I now have all 4 mainline Uncharted platinums which is pretty cool. I think Lost Legacy is on PS+ Extra so I'll do that whenever I get Extra. Popular Post Moridin83
#234 Hot Wheels Unleashed Plat and 100% done. Beneath the merchandising machine that is Hot Wheels lies the heart of a surprisingly competent racer. Drift mechanics are accessible, the car selection is fun and varied, and the track design is interesting. But let's not pretend the game doesn't have some warts. The overpriced DLC is a big one. Even with the current sale, the minimum DLC required for the 100% will run you almost $30. Fortunately (Unfortunately? I'm not sure), some very creatively designed races are included in each one. While this is neat, it sort of sucks that some of the better content is so heavily price-gated. Also, for all unleashed times on the base game, if you're not an absolute racing god, expect to need youtube videos for shortcuts, or you will never come close. There were multiple tracks where it was not a matter of shaving tenths of a second, because you'd be shaving until the end of time. I don't mind tight time limits, but I do prefer the target times to be nominally achievable without some very obscure and occasionally infuriatingly difficult shortcuts. Still though, I had way more fun with this than I expected when it came to plus. If you don't mind either dropping money, or getting just the plat, but not 100%. It's a fun game.

Popular Post coldhardcrash_
Platinum #117 and 100% DLC Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Personal Difficulty: 6/10 for base game, 7/10 for DLC Fun: 7/10 Time to Platinum + 100%: 40 hours (33 hrs base game, 3 hrs for Reverie DLC, 4 hrs for Resurrection DLC) PSNProfiles Rarity: 10.43% Platinum, 2.60% for 100% completion A brilliant reboot of Castlevania that takes a completely different direction in gameplay compared to the classic titles. The side-scrolling action platformers and metroidvania gameplay is replaced with a 3D hack and slash, very similar to the original God of War games. Some bosses play out like bosses from Souls games (where a more patient and methodical approach is required as opposed to mashing the attack button) and a handful of bosses are even heavily inspired from Shadow of the Colossus (more on this later). The game comes with its flaws though, hence the 7/10 fun rating, which I'll break down below. The good: Interesting, captivating, lore-heavy story. Not surprising considering Kojima Productions were involved. Incredible graphics for a 2010 game on the PS3 that hold up quite well to today's standards. Great voice acting and cutscenes. Satisfying combat (where it works properly, I'll explain more below). A lot of different environments and enemies that require different approaches; some enemies are weaker/more resilient to certain attacks or items which brings in more strategy rather than just mindless hack and slash. A lot of interesting and cool puzzles to solve. The bad: Performance. The game is supposed to run at 1080p, 60fps. The amount of frame drops and slowdown I had almost ruined the experience, resulting in many dropped inputs or input lag. After locking the PS3's video output to 720p, the game ran slightly better although performance issues still popped up but not as frequently. This definitely made some points of the game harder than it needed to be. The camera...dear God the camera is horrible. You have no control over it, and the sudden change in camera angles when walking/fighting in certain areas is a big issue. The three boss fights in the base game inspired by Shadow of the Colossus. They're tedious, boring and completely break the flow of the game. Not to mention the climbing mechanics in the game are incredibly slow and falling off means you're pretty much starting from scratch. While the combat is satisfying, the controls are quite loose (think original God of War from 2005 but worse). Coupled with frame drops and dropped inputs, you can see why this could lead to some frustration. The DLCs felt incredibly rushed. The final fight in the second DLC against The Forgotten One on Paladin difficulty...let's just say most of my time in the second DLC were spent here. The DLC is region-locked, despite there being no region stacks on the PS3. I have the US version disc and bought the first DLC from the Australian store not knowing they're not compatible, so I had to make a US account to purchase the DLC again. Overall, I'd say it's still a very good game, despite its flaws. This is the sort of game that would greatly benefit from a remake, but we all know Konami has pretty much forgotten about Castlevania. Recommend to anyone who loves a good action game and a good challenge!

Popular Post SIick_50_
Plat #98 - Hades Enjoyment 10/10 Not only is Hades one of my Favorite Rougelikes, it’s one of my favorite games of all time. Never did I believe that the core story would be so gripping. It’s what pushes you forward through the early game where it really does feel impossible to escape the underworld. The combat is incredibly tailored for experimental gameplay. Every run can be viable because different buffs and abilities will pair well together. The individual side missions and stories of the characters you meet, draw you to them and make the small world you’re confided to feel alive and meaningful. Pardon the pun, but Hades is one HELL of a game! Everyone should play this!
