Popular Post Cellcrash1991
#65: Far Cry Primal Apex Predator Obtain all the Trophies. This time I went back in time. 10.000 B.C. to be exact. This is also the only Far Cry game I've played so far and -however I've heard the other Far Cry games are nothing like it- I enjoyed it. I first started this game somewhere in 2017 but it got kinda repetitive after a while so I quit. Now -5 years later- I decided to pick it up again and to be honest, I could appreciate the game more now than I could back in '17. Back then, I rushed through it because I was too focussed on getting that platinum but now I took my time and just let myself sink into its world and, apart from raging mammoths, it's a beautiful one. The trophy list is an easy one with the only grindy trophy being the one to purchase all skills but it wasn't too bad either. Popular Post Biscoito18
#143 - Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Kingpin Platinum in 1 week, 1 day Rarity: 17.70% (Rare) Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 Nothing Rockstar has ever done beats the atmosphere of 80s Vice City. I never 100% the original PS2 version so now I've discovered a lot of things I didn't even know the game had. It was almost like a new game. This is also my first GTA platinum. Despite having done 100% in GTA IV and V, I never got the online trophies. Can't wait to see Vice City again in GTA VI. Popular Post StraightVege
Child of Morta #309 What a fun coincidence that I happened to play two sensational, family-themed roguelites back to back. Although both feature isometric action, Children of Morta differs from Hades significantly, in that it's a procedurally generated dungeon crawler which exudes stronger Diablo vibes, and stars an entire ensemble cast of playable hero archetypes, known as the Bergsons. These longtime guardians of Mount Morta are fated to stem the flow of festering corruption oozing from a vengeful god at the peak, in a seemingly endless cycle that has repeated for generations. To save their mountain home and the world, they must brave labyrinths in three dangerous regions, brimming with vicious monsters, lethal traps, and treasure, with the goal of freeing several benevolent spirits imprisoned by the angry god. Let's meet each player-controlled member of the family, shall we? John, the household's father, is your sword and board warrior, attacking with wide strikes and energy swords summoned from above. He's excellent for clearing out mobs of weaker creatures to quickly farm for gold and experience, but struggles a bit with bosses. One could also build him for tankiness, pumping skills that reflect damage at attackers, but I didn't think this was very effective. Linda, an archer and John's older daughter, is a mobile ranged attacker who drops her foes from a safe distance via bow, and rains explosive arrow magic down on groups. Easily one of the strongest characters in the game, since ranged play is just very safe. Although she can move while firing, one skill imparts a significant damage buff when standing still, so a "move, shoot, move, shoot" approach is optimal. Mark, eldest son of John, is a spiritual fighter. He lunges at enemies with swift martial arts strikes, often stunning small clusters of them with his whip first, to set them up for a barehanded pummeling. Solid for both farming and clearing bosses, but he doesn't become truly great until late game, when the maxed barrier skill path makes him quite hard to kill. Kevin, John's youngest son and the game's rogue class, nimbly uses twin daggers to cleave through mobs and bosses alike. He's also capable of cloaking himself, to maneuver into position for a hard-hitting stealth attack. As with his older brother, Mark, Kevin feels somewhat underpowered, until you invest a lot of gold into stats. Then, he turns into a living monster blender, due to his high critical chance. Lucy, John's younger daughter and a powerful fire mage. She may be only a child, but her splitting fireball projectiles and conjured tornadoes nonetheless make short work of most dungeon denizens. Has good survivability, too, thanks to her innate magic shield absorbing several hits. Possibly the best character, but it's a toss-up with Linda. Joey, a barbarian and gentle giant, wields a great hammer in crushing and spinning strikes, wiping out mobs with ease. He's actually the son of John's brother, Ben, and another class better suited to farming dungeons than finishing them. Certainly Morta's best tank, though, with a massive HP pool. Apan, the healer shaman, is the one character not related to the Bergsons, yet she's a welcome guest in their home. Utilizes a staff for sweeping magical strikes, and casts healing/buffing auras. Definitely a support-focused class, more appropriate for cooperative play. I didn't find her terribly useful as a solo player, but her unique perks were still worth unlocking. Having leveled all of them beyond 20, I'm pleased to say that the whole family is viable and fun to play as, but the ranged characters (Linda, Lucy) clearly outshine their relatives. Even so, I was still encouraged and motivated to use them all equally, because each unique family perk you unlock, and every stat upgrade you make in the workshop between runs, globally benefits all Bergsons permanently. Besides bolstering the familial teamwork theme, this lends a satisfying sense of progression to every run, regardless of success or failure, since you can always feel the difference in strength with each character from the start of a new dungeon attempt. Certain skills even cause other Bergsons to make an appearance in the field, such as John popping in to block a fatal blow for one of his children—super cool! Enhanced by various magical relics found in the labyrinths, which bestow passive or active abilities, you can have some seriously unstoppable runs. On the other hand, this also means Children of Morta is hurt by an extremely apparent, inverse difficulty curve. While the going seemed pretty tough initially, the upgrades quickly snowballed, letting me steamroll the final act effortlessly. Exacerbated by the game's brief playtime, this made the last third of the experience kind of a letdown. I was like "that's really it?" An additional dungeon region or two could have benefited Morta tremendously, I think. Sadly, there's not much to look forward to after the main story concludes, other than hunting for randomly spawning dungeon souvenirs. Compared to most roguelites, it's pretty brief and unchallenging—likely a perfect choice for genre beginners. Hacking one's way through dungeon hordes is only half of the game, however. Revisiting the Bergsons' beautiful home between runs is almost always interesting, as there's usually a heartwarming family interaction or quest-related scene to watch. It's surprising just how much Morta makes you care about these little, pixelated characters, and how relatable they are as a family unit. While imperfect, they're caring, supportive, brave people, making the best of a terrifying situation. Squabbles never last long, before a touching reconciliation; it really made me wish I had a better family life growing up. What's more, I loved the animal rights messages, with the game providing several opportunities to rescue critters from awful circumstances, then rewarding you for doing so. At one point, I freed a bear from being tortured in some sick, makeshift circus performance, run by cutthroats in the desert region of Barahut. Sometime later, she thanked the Bergsons, by leaving a huge pile of fresh fruit at their doorstep. A large component of why the narrative is so powerful is undoubtedly the phenomenal narration, performed by Ed Kelly, who hits all the right emotional highs and lows, often sounding quite sincere in process. We're talking voice acting on par with Logan Cunningham's Rucks from Bastion, and Wayne June's Ancestor from Darkest Dungeon here. This guy deserves many more roles in the industry! Furthermore, I'm sure the memorable soundtrack plays a part, too, because "We Are The Bergsons" has been stuck in my head for weeks already. Morta is far from perfect, considering the brevity, ease, and some intermittent performance issues with the frame rate and load times. Nevertheless, it's a very enjoyable dungeon crawler, boasting addictive gameplay, a strong story, stylish pixel art, and stellar voice work. If roguelite Diablo with engaging characters sounds appealing to you, then I doubt you'll regret getting to know this lovable family.
Popular Post No longer here
#179 - Dragon Ball: The Breakers (PS4) Enjoyment/Rating: 6.5/10 Difficulty: 4/10 Time: 55 Hours PSNP Rarity: 7.18% PSN Rarity: 0.4% The game wasn't bad I actually did enjoy this while playing friends tbh. However the game has a lot of flaws and feels cheap altogether. I mean it is a $20 game but I did enjoy it enough for me to go for plat, so I would it's quite worth for me especially since I'm very familiar with the anime! I wish things were polished and that the animations didn't take too long, but overall it was a fan service game with an interesting asymmetrical style of gameplay. This reason is why I got it in the first place, I like these kind of games such as Evil Dead: The Game, and Dead by Daylight. Playing as the raider (Cell, Frieza, and Majin Buu) was the best part of the game for me!! I would recommend this game with friends but probably look into it first if you're a dbz fan !

Popular Post Elvick_
Platinum #247 Cyberpunk 2077 (PS5) Never Fade Away Unlock all Trophies. mixed bag for me. I like aspects of it, but even after all this time it’s still glitchy and has an identity crisis. General combat is fun, I like quickhacks and how they work. Guns feel a bit weak, but then I flew through the story to not miss anything and then had those gorilla arms which 1-3 hit kill everything so it was pretty easy after that. Glitches got super annoying. Quests not completing or showing up properly, crashed a few times, froze a few times (once right after Panam hits a screen which was funny timing). Calling someone gets you stuck in place for awhile unable to move for no reason. Being thrown off my bike for no reason. More damning, Reloading a save would often break the AI and make them alert when they weren’t when you saved. Similarly, enemies would sometimes move positions entirely when reloading a save (saved in a doorway and when I reloaded two enemies were directly in front of me). And the game is active before you’re out of the load screen. What I liked was the general plot and premise, and music… not the stuff on the radio though. I didn’t however like how all endings are basically the same outcome and how limited romances are. Romance is so pointless and ineffective. You romance someone, and then after they act like nothing has changed when you go see them or call them. You’ll get some texts that remember, but mostly they don’t care. And only having one option if you’re not bi and only two if you are is lame. I would’ve much preferred River. I even ended up going with Panam because Kerry sucks so much. There’s no depth to his relationship at all. His character has no meaningful connection to V or matters at all. You do a lot more meaningful things with the others. Spoiler Save a nephew from a pedo kidnapper, dive down into the flood ruins of a former home, decide the fate of the nomad clan. What’s he do… blows things up because he might become a hasbeen. I digress. But even the others feel half hearted. as for the plat, my god the game has some horrid open world design. It’s too big for no reason. Most places look the same, most places aren’t needed. Many of the “missions” could be cut out and strengthen the game. There are so many NCPD missions it’s insane and all they amount to is grabbing an item, or killing everyone in an area. And sometimes after grabbing an item you have to… go somewhere to grab another item, or worse just walk in a place. So fun! ? there’s a whole two things that used swimming outside of one side mission. So three total moments where its needed. Why bother? They could’ve designed areas in the game on the water where you could swim into the building instead of go in a window, or had actual missions under water to spice things up. I had initially some praise for the area design, but given how many repeats there are I have to take it down a bit. I mean it’s nice to be able to hack in or break in in different ways, and even indoors soe areas allow for different approaches. One area I didn’t even notice a pathway above until I was leaving and it was neat. But if they had used swimming at all for any of these it might’ve stayed something I could say about the game. the story has some issues, but I don’t feel like going into it. Driving is atrociously bad. In cars at least. By the end I could handle a bike fairly well in first person. Earlier it was just easier to go out of control in a bike since I could maneuver around things somehow and come out of it instead of crash and be slowed down. Every minor movement in a car will have you dove tail over and over it’s so frustrating and bad. I could at least learn to take a corner in a bike by the end doing the awful fast travel clean up and NCPD stuff. I definitely never want to plat this on PS4. It’s far too tedious and despite having no real expectations the endings let me down a lot. Spoiler And it’s not that there’s no happy ending necessarily, just how binary it all feels. If you did every quest why can’t you have a team up of different options? Instead of only getting to side with one person. Why can’t Panam and Rogue plan something together, for example? And it’s so transparent when Rogue and… what’s his face died in the same way. I mean it’s “different” but it’s the same. Person who survives goes in gate. Person who dies helps lift gate then dies. It’s lame and lazy. it just feels like they ran out of time and gave up in some areas. They had a lot of ambition and no clue what to do with it. I can see the potential in there, but it’s a mess. I wouldn’t say it’s a bad game, but the trophy list sure is a bad one. It’s just not fun and involves the most tedious aspects of games. Grind, collectibles/markers, missables. Bleh. oh and for identity crisis what I mean is the game has the edge, sometimes to a try hard immature embarrassing level… but other times they’re just cowards. They never fixed it to where you’d shower naked. I don’t think the ESRB cares too much about nudity if it’s not interactive, I think that’s their issue. And that scene looks ridiculous especially in context. I know when things are bad I go strip down to my underwear to sit in the shower. Meanwhile the whole game I ran around “naked” in my underwear. Only seeing my wang when I opened the menu. Otherwise forgetting I was even in my “underwear” until a cutscene showed my legs and it would make me laugh. if the reason was the “children” (shrunken adult models) npcs, then they shouldn’t be in the game. They don’t even make sense. You can’t harm them, so in this world they’d be used as soldiers since they can’t die. Child soldiers exist in our world ffs. Beyond that stupidity, is the fact that they walk around alone. Every. Single. One. I never saw a child, outside River’s niece and nephew, who was wirh an adult. I saw men hugging on women, and stuff like that, but never an adult even walking with a child. So children just walk around this crime ridden hellscape alone all the time. Okay game. Makes sense. for a game so hell bent on “immersion” to justify no third person (except to drive or for every ending) they sure love to pull you out of the immersion. And again on the mini adults, if you running around naked would be “a problem” why aren’t all the overtly sexual ads? Nudity in and of itself, with no interactive component no less, isn’t sexual. idk, I know it doesn’t matter but it really made me roll my eyes when I have sex on a boat that we lit on fire, and then jump off naked and then magically have underwear on the moment control is put back to the player. When did we put our underwear on? It’s too obscene to see a flaccid wiener while two guys sit on a beach? It just makes all the other sexual stuff look silly, and stupid. I’m 34 years old. I don’t need protected from a penis or vagina. Hell, they let a woman in the story in I think a unavoidable sex scene sit around vag out. But can’t shower naked, that’s too X-Rated. Make it consistent at least. And good grief a dead body that has underwear on. Really, murderers and rapists are so nice to protect your dignity and put your underwear on you after they rape and kill you. ? I overthink things but that’s where my mind goes when I see such conflicting ideas in the same product. If you can’t get away with it in some contexts… AVOID IT. Redo the damn scenes to make sense within the restrictions. But that requires effort. I forgot. anyway glad that’s over. Now to weep at the fact that they’re doing dlc.

Popular Post theSpirae
Platinum #69 Time Played 15 hours Difficulty 2/10 Rating 6/10 Source PS Extra Many of you have probably played or at least tried this one since it rewards quick and easy platinum. Not as quick and easy as jumping <fruit> but hey, can't always get what you want. I was debating between 6 and 7 rating. The game is extremely short and not much really is happening gameplay-wise. On my first run, trophies stopped unlocking. I had to start from scratch. Now, I don't play games with walkthroughs, especially games like this. It completely kills the enjoyment and atmosphere. If I miss any trophy, I'm fine replaying the game again. It was still a bit annoying to play the game 3 times. Pros - visual and atmosphere and especially story. I enjoyed exploring everything to find more clues and it was slowly adding up, forming a coherent story. And that honestly is about it. That's the best part about the game and that's why playing it with a walkthrough completely kills it Cons - the idea of the split is great but it feels the studio was afraid to push it more and utilize it more often. It ends up serving as a cool effect and that's it. Puzzles are extremely easy, I wouldn't even call them puzzles. There's a function to combine items you find but you use it only once or twice. Again, the feature was added but not developed/utilized. It's basically a walking simulator with two or three chase sequences. I can see this will put many people off. If this game was released by a triple-A studio, I would rate it 5 but Bloober Team is, afaik, around 100 employees so I'm upping it to 6. The story alone is 7+ but the boring gameplay and not utilized game mechanics are bringing it down to 6. I still recommend it. Popular Post Hayke7
- #64 A Plague Tale: Requiem A very easy platinum to a very enjoyable game. Popular Post DrunkenEngineer
Platinum #38 - The Order: 1886 (September 19, 2022) Trophy Statistics The Good Cool weapon designs Fun set pieces Straightforward, linear 3rd person shooty shooty The Bad Incredibly short play length Unskippable cutscenes Clunky controls at times And another bites the dust with The Order: 1886 smashed to bits. I can understand why this game had a bad reputation at launch. It's very linear, with lots of cutscenes and QTEs, and a short campaign of only 7 hours or so. The launch day hype was pretty lofty and I think people just weren't expecting what they got. However, what is here is incredibly polished with exquisite graphics and gorgeous world-building. The shooting aspects are reasonably competent, but the cover mechanics can be sticky and honestly no game has done that well since perhaps Mass Effect 2. The guns are cool as hell, the concept of Nikola Tesla being the armorer and principle inventor of alt-steampunk Victorian England is fun shit, and who doesn't love seeing Victorian facial hair? The story is wildly predictable, but what's there is well executed and very well acted. The game ends with enough hooks for a sequel which would be great to get after all these years, but the forecast isn't looking great on that. If you are looking for a third person shooter where you can just jump in and go, this ain't it. But if cool set pieces and a reimagined Knights of the Round Table vs. Werewolves & Vampires shtick sounds cool, this is worth checking out on the cheap.

Popular Post Moridin83
# 236 Syphon Filter 2 Quick twofer here. First is Syphon Filter 2. Slightly more polished than the first one, and I appreciate the direct continuation, but all the same problems remain. The aiming is incredibly bad coming from modern games (Hold L1 for aimed fire, aim with the D-pad or left stick, no moving while aiming except for the lean0, and the auto aim is literally useless against guys with flak jackets. And the game still loves to make guys appear right behind you or above you as you go around corners. Rewind means it's not totally awful, but we should all pour one out for the poor bastards who played this on PS1 without these features. The lack of direction is also still present, and ranges from just not holding your hand (acceptable to good), to giving you no clue where to go, while surrounded by guys in armor that puts John Wick 3 to shame. Trophy wise though, it's as simple(ha) as beating the game. Like the first one, your enjoyment will largely be dependent on how much nostalgia you have for the series. # 237 Deeeer Simulator I would classify this game as "intentional jank". It's not that someone was trying to make a good game and failed, this was never meant to be "good", at least I hope not. What I was expecting was the kind of enjoyable bad I got with Goat simulator, but this didn't quite clear the bar. It's far shorter and rudimentary, and I would say anything above $5 is too much. For $5 though, you may find it ridiculous enough to have fun with, or maybe not. I give this a solid meh.
Popular Post mr_enigma26
Yakuza Like a Dragon Time: About 65 hours Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 My first experience with Yakuza and conquered the True Final Millennium Tower. Overall I had a good amount of fun and the time flew by. For a turn based JRPG this was pretty good. Had all the classic mechanics but with a lot of humor and charm especially the Essence moves and their version of summons in the Poundmates. Story was good to with a lot of heart but fell into a usual cliche in the power of friendship, which I didn't mind. Trophies list is pretty straightforward and not to demanding. The Trophies that consumes your time is the Dragon kart races and part time hero stuff but not to bad, a tad annoying but acceptable. The true final Millennium tower is your main hurdle to overcome. Overall with proper preparation and setup it's not bad at all. If you are familiar with JRPGs you know the grind is part of the genre. It's unavoidable. FYI I beat the tower in my first try and the grinding i did wasn't egregious. My team was Ichiban level 99 hero, Zhao level 99 gangster, Han level 99 hitman and saeko level 99 idol. For the boys got them to also level 30 for host, fortune teller, and foreman to get the elemental spells for fire, ice and lightning. Also got to level 30 for enforcer to boost their stats further. For saeko also got level 30 for hostess and night queen too. The extra grinding I did with the proper ex booster accessories maybe totaled 3 or 4 hours in the Kamaroucho dungeon. Honestly not bad of a time demand. Fun game Overall and final challenge is very doable. I recommend to anyone who is a fan of turn based jrpg
Popular Post da-Noob123
Been a hot minute since I last posted in this thread. In that time I managed to nab the platinums for: Up My brother put this on my account years ago and as a part of my joining the Attack on Completion event, I tracked down a copy off eBay. It was a good short little game based off the Disney Pixar movie of the same name. Great game to you play with your kids. Bioshock Infinite I started this game several years ago but couldn't really into it. I came back to it for the aforementioned event. I am glad I did. The story was decent, probably would have been better had I not known the twist but nothing I can do about that. Burial at Sea was excellent- Part 1 in particular had me yearning to go back to Rapture and was done very well. Lego Dimensions Yet another game I cleaned up for the event above and this too was added to my profile because of my brother. It's a bit different from other Lego games I have played as you have to physically buy all of the Lego figures as opposed to just unlocking then in game and thankfully 100% completion is not needed. There are over 1,000 gold bricks when you include all of the DLC's. o_O I'd like to get 100% completion but tracking the needed sets down looks to be a pain nowadays and not to mention expensive. Astro's Playroom I found a PS5 on the shelf this past Friday and bought it on the spot so of course I hard to play this delightful little game to Christen it. Truly a great exposition for the new controller and filled me with nostalgia. Now I need to build my PS5 library!

Popular Post Redgrave
#258: Platinum Sense - Sense: A Cyberpunk Ghost Story My last contribution for October games this year since one other game I wanted didn't go on sale and another I started is taking longer than I thought it would. But I'm glad I could at least play this since I had heard good things about it. As the name suggests it's a horror game that takes place in a cyberpunk setting and it does it really well. The ghosts and the atmosphere are creepy and unnerving so much to the point where even on repeat playthroughs I was still creeped out by most of the areas and dreaded a couple encounters. It also does a horror trope (I suppose you could call it that) that I like a lot where your character is trapped in a haunted place and yet right outside everything is normal but there's nothing they can really do about it. I don't know why but in a weird way I find it kind of encouraging as opposed to it being like where everything outside is cursed or something. There's a part where you sort of walk outside on a catwalk and you see the city in the distance which is probably the only real relief you get from the dark hallways of the apartments. But on top of that it was cool seeing the different ghosts and learning about them. So yeah, it's a really effective horror game in more ways than one and I recommend it. The trophies are pretty simple since it's just collecting stuff and beating the game on the "difficulties" which is really just a NG+ cycle where the only difference is your saves get limited on the second NG+ cycle to manual saves from tapes kind of like the ink ribbons in Resident Evil. I'm at least pretty sure that's the only difference since nothing else really stood out to me apart from a trophy you can only get in NG+ where you access a certain room on the 6'th floor. I think one of the bosses was slightly more aggressive but maybe I took too long to attack it. When it came to the final boss I swear it never attacked me in any of my playthroughs for some reason. I assume I just didn't give it a chance to attack but the boss before it attacked when I was approaching it so I don't know what happened there.
Popular Post Destructor-8
Assetto Corsa Ultimate Edition - Platinum #119 A True Sim Racer Sim Racer 0.32% Community rating - 10/10 Personal rating - 10/10 Enjoyment 7/10 It's finally done again! It's been a few weeks since I did this for the first time & now I've been able to get it done again. There's been hundreds of hrs in getting into sim racing & taking on different games to take on stuff like this. I have really enjoyed improving the more that I do whilst meeting many great players as well as have some of the sim racing youtubers follow the progress that I have made. There's not as much to say with this one so I'll mention a bit about the races within the special events this time. The races that I mention within the special events are some of the toughest things that you can do in this. These must be done on alien difficulty which is the highest available & this is really tough. This is something that is borderline impossible since you won't be able to catch up & compete here as you will not be able to match the speed that alien difficulty is at. There are various methods to get into the lead as then it is all about keeping the right lines & not allowing space for any overtaking to happen. I'll put a video of one of these where you have to be absolutely on it to do it. It didn't take too long to do all of these again however some are just not very repeatable at all so it can take a long time to get things into your favour. It really takes just one thing to completely mess everything up & it can take quite awhile to even get an attempt at it. The thing is once you are over taken then that is pretty much it as the pace that you must be at is beyond what is actually possible. If there weren't any methods then there wouldn't be any achievers at all. The following video was the one that I found to be the most tough to do again. I'll be on Assetto Corsa Competizione to finish off a nice streak of games. It's been great to do a platinum like this although doing it back to back really takes a lot of time. I'll get this last one done before I have a break from racing games so that I can do some different stuff. It's on to Assetto Corsa Competizione now.
