Popular Post Biscoito18
#144 - Grand Theft Auto III King of Liberty City Platinum in 1 week, 1 hour Rarity: 15.04% (Rare) Difficulty: 4.5/10 Enjoyment: 7.5/10 GTA III can be brutal at times. Getting to level 12 in Paramedic and killing 15 criminals in a row in Vigilante are no joke here. Overall, the entire game has an oppressive atmosphere that suits the protagonist, a cool and emotionless killing machine. I'm not going to lie and say it's one of my favorites in the series, but at least it's a unique entry with a strong personality.
Popular Post Trancexistence
#21 - Life Is Strange Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 2/10 Total Game Time: 13 hours #22 - Life Is Strange: Before The Storm Enjoyment: 6/10 Difficulty: 2/10 Total Game Time: 9 hours #23 - Life Is Strange 2 (1,000th trophy milestone) Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 2/10 Total Game Time: 18 hours #24 - Life Is Strange: True Colors Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 2/10 Total Game Time: 8 hours So that's the Life is Strange series complete for me unless I feel like doing the Remastered collection in the future and I thought I'd group all four of them together in one post rather than spamming the topic. A bit of a hot take perhaps given how many people seem to dislike it and/or find it boring but Life Is Strange 2 was my favourite. LiS started off strongly then lost it's way for me towards the end with all the flashbacks (particularly the final episode) whereas I thought LiS 2 got better as it went on after initially not being impressed with the first episode. LiS 2 had a stronger cast of supporting characters for me and the setting of each episode felt very different too unlike the first game with it's handful of locations in which you have to retrace your steps a fair bit. Before The Storm I was the least keen on. It was decent but I just couldn't warm to Chloe's pal Rachel Amber and it felt a tad unnecessary already knowing the first game's story. It might have been a better idea to play this one first in hindsight. True Colors was a pleasant surprise. I was expecting this one to be the weakest as it's non episodic unlike the other games but I thought it was great and Alex was a good protagonist. As a city dweller, Haven Springs looks like it would be a really nice place to live too. Was a big fan of the more open ended nature of the environments in this game as well. I would rank the games: LiS 2, True Colors, LiS, then Before The Storm in that order. Favourite characters were Sean & Daniel from LiS 2 and Alex from True Colors. In summary, I really like this series and I hope we get another game, whether it's developed by Don't Nod or Deck Nine. I don't mind. Next up for me are the online trophies in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl for platinum #25.

Popular Post Arzoden
PLATINUM #92 | Monopoly Madness Alright so this game is mix of RNG & Objectives each round if you are set on going for the throphies. There will be a lot of ''bonus'' trophies you need to grab and you can only get a maximum of 3 bonuses each round, there is a lot of bonuses so the odds of you getting the bonuses you want are not always as great as you would think. I do not suggest picking up this game if you do not have a second controller as the trophy '' Tie breaker'' is a heavily luck & skill dependent trophy that can be done in 5 minutes with a second controller. The mulitplayer seems to be dead so do not get your hopes up for that, luckily for ya'll you only need local play for trophies Game is also quite chaotic but you get used to it after a small hour of playing, i advise this game for people that does not mind RNG trophies

Popular Post DrunkenEngineer
Platinum #40 - DOOM II (Classic) (November 6, 2022) Trophy Statistics The Good Super shotgun is introduced to the world! More enemies, more levels, more variety Some truly sadistic level design The Bad Nightmare Co-op just about broke me Bigger, badder, nastier - Doom II cranks it up to eleven. The addition of the Super Shotgun and a handful of enemies differentiates this from it's 1993 predecessor. Technically there aren't many advancements save for iD Software becoming comfortable with levels of sadism that couldn't be done with Doom. The early, easier levels of Doom II completely dwarf Doom endgame levels both in size and monster population. On the easiest difficulties it's still quite manageable to get through, and the whole experience would be a moderate trophy list. Except for, you know...nightmare co-op. It's back, and even nastier than before. When the console ports were released nightmare mode was considerably easier, but still hard. Common to pre and post-patch are increased monster populations, more aggressive behavior, and random respawn timers. A majority of the co-op levels require brute forcing, dying over and over making incremental progress until you can scrape by to the level exit. Some levels this approach is impossible, and have to be cleared in one go or the difficulty becomes insurmountable. Eventually an update was released for both Doom and Doom II to restore the original PC version nightmare difficulty, which had all of the above and double monster animation and attack speeds. Doom was manageable with fast-monsters, while its sequel become completely insane for me. I depatched to v1.06 and was still faced with the hardest platinum challenge to date. After popping that bastard of a platinum I went back and let it update and cleared the most notorious level, just to really put my stamp on this doozy of a game. Pre-fast monsters this is a 9/10 difficulty, and 10+/10 on the current branch. An immensely stressful experience, I'm glad it's done, and really wish I could have used a keyboard & mouse!
Popular Post Darghel
#161 Perfectionist III (Slipstream) Difficulty: Very easy, just a bit "grindy" Time to Complete: about 18 hours according to psnp Recommended: Yeah! Total score: 7/10 I really enjoyed Horizon Chase Turbo a while ago so I had to try Slipstream, knowing it's another arcade racing game which is reminiscent of the 80s. Unfortunately I think this game lacks the content that made Horizon better, and while there are a lot of options and circuits to choose from I feel that it ends up becoming repetitive really quick. In addition I didn't like the drifting mechanic: the manual one is "nice" but it also doesn't work at times, especially when doing zig zags. And I don't understand the game telling me that automatic drifting makes me lose speed, when I barely noticed the difference. Still, it's a very good game, and the platinum is very easy too but might require some "grinding" in gran tour. The also the tournaments were very long and tedious - I played on medium and enemies are very aggressive! - and most of the cars feel okay, but I generally stayed with one or two at max. But i can easily recommend it because it's a lot of fun, just a tiny bit short. And if you want more, give Horizon Chase Turbo a try too! #162 Moving on (Murdered: Soul suspect) Difficulty: Easy with a guide for the collectibles Time to Complete: I'd say 10 hours? Recommended: Yes! It's always cheap too Total score: 7/10 Had this in my backlog for over 3 years, and I don't know why I stopped. Still I decided to give it a try again, been on the mood for shorter games, and well...this was surprisingly good, but it's a shame that it wasn't enough for the company to move on, especially when I really liked Quantum Conundrum. Oh well, at least we got this game! Murdered is an adventure and mystery game about finding YOUR killer, who's been killing people with a pretty specific M.O., and is called the Bell Killer. Being a ghost means you got some ghostly powers...except you can't go through certain walls, for reasons explained but still makes no sense, and while doing so you'll discover the dark secret of Salem, and the true identity of the killer, which was a pleasant surprise and I wasn't fully expecting it. My only issues were mostly about the exploration: there are too many collectibles, and some of the missable too, and the hub world isn't as smooth or as good to explore as it looks. Especially when you have NO MAP and it's very hard to remember where to go at times. The levels can be very large, and also linear, but overall I feel they were pretty varied so I have no complains there. And the story is interesting to keep you glued but I wish the characters were less annoying, especially the side character Joy. She's a constant whiner and I wish I could say she improves but really doesn't. Ronan also kind of lacks any real development, but at the very least he's not a terrible character. Bottom Line, this game was good and an enjoyable adventure, and also an easy and short plat - I recommend using the guide, missable collectibles are a pain!. Nothing else to say but, time to move on now! Edited November 12, 2022 by Darghel

Popular Post Moridin83
#240 Medievil A remake of the PS1 game of the same name, if you remember the game from back then, it's substantially similar, just better looking. As a 3D action adventure(?) game, it hits the basics, but definitely shows the age of the original. The jumping is floaty, and overly penalized if you miss a jump, and the hit detection leaves something to be desired. You'll frequently wonder how the heck you just took so much damage. Despite this, it's a fun game, and doesn't overstay it's welcome too much. The lost souls feel like pointless padding, but the unlock for getting them all is fun for nostalgia purposes at least. I would be upset at having paid $40 for this, but on sale or included in PS+ Extra, it's worthwhile.

Platinum #305 Ty the Tasmanian Tiger HD I came, I saw, I Thylacined. - 50,70% PS 2 collectathon platformer set in australia (who can have guessed). Never played the original aside from a demo but the game was fun, but they overdid it with some of the collectables (picture frames). Platinum #306 Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue HD Collect all the trophies - 51,90% After the first game, I was a bit on a PS2 nostalgia trip, so I played the second game right afterwards. This one has the collectathon and platformer elements of the first game and expands the gameplay with vehicle missions (helicopter, submarine, jeep and mech). The game is not bad, but I think, I like the first one a bit more.
Popular Post Bloke
Platinum #42 - DOOM I (Classic) The PS4 port of the popular first person shooter DOOM, a game that will put hairs on your chest hairs. Not as difficult as the sequel, DOOM 2, yet still a formidable title, especially on Nightmare! Nightmare co-op was disgusting. When practicing on my alt account, I had no choice but to downgrade to 1.00. Those enemies on the latest patch seem to want to break the sound barrier with their speed. To anyone wishing to play on current patch, you're braver than I am. No issues with the game overall, except some weird delay with the controls when playing wireless. Headhunter didn't unlock at the end of 3-8 due to a Cacodemon killing the Spider Mastermind, which got me worried about a potential bug. Fortunately, SM in 4-8 came in clutch for me, unlocking it. Difficulty: 6/10, on 1.00 Enjoyment: 8/10, gotta love the classic
Popular Post Trancexistence
#25 - Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl Just finished up the online trophies in this one for my second platinum of the weekend. As a PS+ title I'm sure most of you are probably familiar with the game so need to go into too much detail. I thought it was a fun Super Smash Bros./PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale knock off with a surprising amount of depth to it. That depth doesn't extend to the trophy list however which is very basic and it doesnt take a lot of time to complete. The most troublesome part was the online trophies as the servers are a graveyard and boosting is the only way of getting them done efficiently. Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Total Game Time: 6 hours Next up for me is grabbing the last few endings in Wheels of Aurelia for #26. I'm hoping to be done with that tomorrow.
Popular Post RedRodriguez87
#425: Trophies Completed! A cool looking platinum for an average Sonic game. And I mean average, not bad. The open-world approach is a great idea for a series like Sonic, where the character can finally stretch his legs and really get out there. What's presented here works really well; it is just a lot of fun to run around and explore areas, gather up items, unlock levels, invite the various enemies with them new moveset of flashy moves (Some of the enemies can get annoying to deal with, but 99% of the time combat is optional, so I can't really blame the game for that). If Sonic Teams builds upon this, and doesn't abandon it when the next game comes along, maybe the Concept can be fully realized. All that said, it does get repetitive when the end comes along, As you basically experienced everything from enemies to mini-games that the game has to offer right when you get to the last island. The one thing I really didn't care for was the Cyber zones, little pocket levels based on prior Sonic games. They are too short to really be engaging, the updated control scheme doesn't really fit with the more compacts design, in the graphics are such a cluster fuck that it's not even that interesting to look at. These were just really throw away parts that were included because we needed something Sonic related I guess. Then we get to the story, and I did not like it all. Yes I know, Sonic games and never had the most engaging stories for a long time, but even then I feel I have to say something because it felt like the writer Ian Flynn, was trying to do something here that just did not work out at all. The narrative relies too much on exposition and uninteresting static image flashbacks instead of being visually interesting. Sonic of course reacts to things in his modern apathetic way. The rest (Tails, Knux, Amy Egg and Sage) speak so "matter-of-factly" spouting info that there's nothing distinct about them. It's why I can't get into the new IDW comics; everybody feels so interchangeable. Again, it was a fun experience, but I could say that all about a lot of Sonic games. It's hard for me to get hyped for this new direction when there's absolutely no guarantee that they'll even continue this direction. We will have to see if any DLC is announced, and what the team will do from here.

Popular Post Sunny
-Platinum 228 #Digimon Cybersleuth Hacker's Memory - Well I'll just start by saying that I'm a huge fan of the anime/manga, so just seeing my favorite Digimon fight by my side is enough to make me happy, with that said, I love this game, the story is pretty decent it got me hooked from beginning to end, the characters are all very charismatic and likable so it's easy to care and root for them, a minor complaint I have is that the game has so much needless dialogue, the conversations go in circles for way too long at times, other than that it was a joy to go through it, the gameplay is your basic JRPG turn based game, and that works more than fine to me, the Digimon animations and signature moves are pretty cool and loyal to their anime counterpart, the game leans a bit on the easy side but you can always raise the difficulty so there's no harm done, I'd also like to mention the soundtrack that is soooooo good, I love it so much, it kinda gave me Persona 3 vibes at times, platinum wise is your basic Digimon RPG thing, collect stuff, get most Digimon, and grind a bit, the grind at the end was kinda spicy but no too bad, the game asks you to collect medal and most medals you get are from gatcha machines which are pure RNG, some were easy others obnoxious, the game had a somewhat lazy translation, some medals got named wrong making me farm medals I already had for a while without realizing since the guide didn't mention anything, so I had to cross check with the wiki on Grindosaur to make sure, which is by the way amazing, they did an incredible guide with a plethora of really useful information and corrections, so huge thanks and major kudos to them, but the grind wasn't nearly as bad as in Next Order, that game is in on another level of grind, my final time was 180 hours at the end, far more than what most guide suggests, but all in all a very good game with very few hiccups and a somewhat long platinum journey, but I couldn't recommend more, specially if you are a fan of the frachise. Popular Post Viper
#292 Dying Light 2: Stay Human (PS5) Pilgrim's Path After trying for nearly 2 weeks to get a boosting session together, I finally got this out of the way. Wanted to make this a Halloween plat, but there's a couple grindy trophies in this game that just didn't make that possible. One in particular is called "Ultramarathon", where....for whatever reason...you have to travel a total of 960km. Once I finished everything else in the game, I was only at 433km. So there was several DAYS there where I had to rubber band my controller to get Aiden to just walk in circles. So if you're someone who has the Plat for Grid, this might give you War flashbacks. So when this game was announced I got super hyped. With the first game I put it off because I didn't really care much for Dead Island, so I figured it'd just be more of that...and it kind of was, but for some reason the verticality of it all just worked better and I LOVED the first game. So this was a no brainer (heh, Zombies...no brainer? Get it? Classic.). But then, all the issues with game breaking glitches popped up so I decided to not to play this until there were some patches. Which thankfully I did as I had no issues with trophies and a lot of the missable collectables are now obtainable after certain story missions are complete, but people that had glitched trophies form the start are still experiencing issues. Overall while there's some quality of life improvements in this game over the first (grappling hook, the glider, the parkour elements added to the world when you side with the Survivors)...I just didn't enjoy it as much. That's not to say it's a bad game. I just came away from the first wanting more...but with this I'm kinda glad its over (minus the DLC). Aiden wasn't as interesting of a character as Kyle Crane, the story felt like one we've seen a million times with a twist ending that just made me shrug my shoulders. And Villedor, while MORE vertical and dense, still felt less interesting than Harran or even the Countryside from The Following DLC. There's also less emphasis on modding your weapons, you obviously can...but since you have to prioritize upgrading other things, the items you need to accumulate to upgrade the blue prints for mods, are just something you won't put much focus into, and then having the Deluxe Edition you're giving this Hammer weapon that's FAR stronger than anything else I was picking up and it's strength increases as I level up...so using modded weapons wasn't really something I worried about much anymore. And this leads to the weapon system not feeling as fleshes out as it was in DL1. It was a fun game, just not a better sequel IMO. Either way I look forward to a future third game.

Popular Post Eqill5
Platinum #59 - F1 2021 (PS4) Having platinum’d every F1 game all the way back from 2010 forward to 2021, I think it’s time to call it a day on this series for me personally. Don’t get me wrong, I still love F1, but I’ve lost a lot of love for the games (burned out). Maybe in a few years I’ll come back and work through the PS5 titles, or maybe not. I just know for now there’s a small-ish backlog needing attention and there’s not enough time to continue plugging away at this series for the sake of series completion. Has anyone else ever felt this way and given up on what feels like a never ending project?
