Popular Post YaManSmevz
Platinum #80: Resident Evil 3 So Long, RCObtain all trophies. I remember seeing hate for the Resi 2 remake and thinking "y'all are out of your damn minds, this is great" but I totally get it with this one, if you played the OG back in the day a lot of this game's omissions will have you scratching your head. It's weird to see a game with such high production values feeling this incomplete. I get that Capcom wanted to capitalize and make more money off of the remake train, but it's not like fans were going to forget to buy a new Resident Evil game or something, you really could've taken some more time with it! I can forgive the linearity, the lack of having to make split second choices, even the fact that Nemesis is nowhere to be found for a large chunk of the game... but that Clock Tower tease was the last straw - cutting an entire area, perhaps the most significant of the original, just makes no sense. Oh, and how overly easy it is all the way to Inferno's final battle. Like oh okay, NOW you wanna be hard. Bruh. Having said all that, this was still a lot of fun. The first playthrough felt nice and tense, Jill and Carlos are great protagonists (dat chemistry tho), and it looks and controls so damn good! It's definitely disappointing, especially considering how good the first two RE remakes are, but as a standalone game it's still a pretty good time. Popular Post RebelsHeart
Platinum #105 - A Plague Tale: Requiem A very beautiful game with a heartbreaking ending. Truly one of a kind. It was a beautiful journey. I actually finished the game like a month ago, but I couldn't bring myself to remember that ending. So here it finally is.

Popular Post Moridin83
#243 Dusk Diver This game was a pleasant surprise for me. It had been sitting in my backlog for quite a while, and when the second one came out, I decided I should really get around to this one. It falls solidly into the AA realm of games, and is good at most of what it does. The visuals aren't cutting edge, but are used well. Turning people from colored silhouettes to actual character models as you get closer means the game doesn't overtax itself, but also avoids excessive pop-in. The combat is crisp, with decent variety for musou-adjacent gameplay. The story won't light the world on fire, but it's serviceable. As long as you properly manage your upgrade points, and routinely do side missions and S rank stages, combat has some challenge without being overwhelming. However, that does bring me to one thing I disliked about the game. S-ranks, which are required for the plat are purely time based, which jettisons a lot of the different combat moves, and basically leaves you optimizing one or two of the most effective chains to minimize your time. It's not a huge issue, but it limits a lot of the potential combat variety. All in all though, highly recommended and a lot of fun, without overstaying it's welcome.
maneater2016
Madden NFL 18 MasterCongratulations on earning every Madden NFL 18 trophy! As a lifelong soccer fan and never played or even watched a football game, this wasn't easy. Those challenges in Longshot mode seriously gave me a hard time. But I really enjoyed it and had fun. I mean how much satisfaction would you get from an easy plat? Edited November 29, 2022 by maneater2016

Popular Post HansPatat050
#78 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II Difficulty: 3/10. The veteran playthrough was fun and not hard. There are a lot of checkpoints and your teammates help a lot. I did the veteran run together with the miscellaneous trophies per mission. The spec ops missions are the most difficult, especially 'Low profile'. It takes some time and effort to get a clean run in and I do not recommend to try it with randoms without a mic. Enjoyment: 7/10 Great campaign although short, some challenging spec ops missions and steady pvp multiplayer. Time: 15 hours #79 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered I had this one sitting in the backlog for quite some time and wanted to finish it before MW 2 launched. Difficulty: 6/10. What a difference this veteran playthrough makes compared to the MW 2 game. Some levels are extremely difficult, with enemies everywhere and cornering you, spawning grenades and laser beaming. I will remember completing the ship training course in under 15.1 seconds or the 'one shot one kill' rampage at the Chernobyl ferris wheel. Enjoyment: 9/10 Awesome campaign, one of the best of the COD series. A lot of different levels, mission types and gameplay elements. If anyone has this one sitting on the backlog I'd recommend to give it a go! Time: 20 hours, didn't play any multiplayer
Popular Post RotatingCube
#124 Rayman Legends (PS4) Legendary Mixed feelings on this one. I like platformers and I played Rayman Origins before (on the Xbox360) and loved it. So I was expecting to like this one too. Well, the offline part of Legends did not disappoint. Excellent stages and the music levels were a very nice touch. Unfortunately they had to saddle this game with that Awesomeness 11 trophy. I don't mind a little competition but having to complete those online challenges every day and get a high enough rank for 2 months and 1 week straight is not my idea of fun. I don't see that becoming any easier to get too once the player base starts dwindling even more.

Popular Post Septic_Phlegm
The Last of Us. This took a long time as I was so engrossed in the multiplayer, I didn't play the story too frequently. As a huge fan of the genre of survival horror this was a total pleasure from start to finish, even the collectible grind at the end complete with the odd glitch that left me on 36/37 conversations and the collect all comics trophy popping before I actually collected them all. Story 10/10 Gameplay 9/10 Graphics 7/10 Easily one of the best games ever written and produced. Clip of me loving TLoU Multiplayer factions... Popular Post DrunkenEngineer
Platinum #41 - Valfaris (November 26, 2022) Trophy Statistics The Good Amazing soundtrack Completely badass pixel art Laser pistols! Plasma shotguns! The Bad Upgrade system feels out of place A trophy for finding secrets? Blech Much like it's predecessor, Slain: Back From Hell, this is a 2D action-platformer additionally with heavy doses of run-n-gun carnage. And again, like it's predecessor, the game's charm comes from the insanely awesome pixel art and heavy metal soundtrack. I personally found some of the risk-reward gameplay more welcome than it's predecessor - exchanging Resurrection Idols for checkpoints vs. increased power made subsequent run throughs a power trip. The weapon and upgrade system fell flat as you'll have barely enough materials to dabble much - better to figure out early on what weapons you like and resource dump them. On paper this looks like a difficult platinum, and it still is, but save-scumming completely neuters much of the challenge. And I generally suck at these kind of games and made it through without much frustration. Again, like Slain, what you see is what you get. Definitely worth a play if the trailer inspires you!
Popular Post voodoo_eyes
#632 - 9 Monkeys of Shaolin A decent beat 'em up in a martial arts setting. The variety is fairly minimal with there only being a few different enemies. It's got nice visuals and a solid sound design. I've soft-locked on several occasions during my playthrough, but a restart of the checkpoint fixes it. Game is fairly short, with each mission lasting about 5 minutes. Enjoyment: 6 Difficulty: 3

Popular Post KenjiCBZ
#85: SpongeBob SquarePants: Plankton's Robotic Revenge Platinum SpongeBob (30.83% - Uncommon) Unlock all trophies A rare SpongeBob game, to the point that I thought it was not released in my country. Thankfully, I was wrong and I managed to pick up a copy for still a reasonable price. The game is nothing special at all: it's not too bad, but it's very repetitive and boring. Graphics feel very Ps2-isch, and the platforming element is almost non existential: the game consists of group of enemies one after the other in areas that are very similar to each other, and you can even skip most of them with no issues. This could be a good game to play for an hour or two with friends but yeah, no big deal. The Trophies are also very simple, as most of them require either a full run of the game (Only 15 levels) or just a few hours grind. The only problematic Trophy is the one that requires four controllers to get, but thankfully I already had three controllers (Two for the Ps3 and one for the Ps4, as well as two cables for each console) so I just had to borrow my brother in law's Ps4 controller to get my fourth controller and so the Trophy. I guess I own him a Platinum.
