Popular Post MidnightDragon
#94 Garfield Lasagna Party This is a pretty fun Garfield themed Mario Party clone. One of my complaints is the characters move across the board WAY too slow. Unlike in Mario Party, they bounce from space to space and there's no way to speed up the AI. Also, you have the ability to sabotage your opponent's roll regardless of whether its your turn or not. As with all party games, it's more fun if you have other people, but still not bad solo. The trophies are for winning all the minigames. Some may take you a few tries to get first place, but nothing overly difficult, especially if you have the AI on easy. While I recognized some as clones from Mario Party games, some were also their own thing. I was able to get this for less than full price due to reward points and I would strongly recommend a sale since it's not worth the current price. Still, it's a fun game. Still, it's a fun game, though I don't see myself stacking it on PS5.

Some of the gameplay can be a bit outdated but overall the atmosphere and story hold up well, plus... this is one of the few games where i have to wait to get out of a car to complete an objective because the song that's playing is just too damn good!!! Radio Espantoso and Flash FM are still my favs After all these years, Vice city remains to be my favorite out of the entire GTA franchise. And remember kids: La vida es una lenteja, o la tomas o la dejas I've had that song on my phone forever! Love the radio's in Vice City!
Popular Post PooPooBlast
#181 Ghostwire Tokyo! I had a decent experience with Ghostwire Tokyo. It's THE most beautifully rendered version of Tokyo/Japan I've ever seen and that's saying something considering it's coming from a guy who has yakuza as their favourite game series. In it, you play as Akito merged with a companion spirit who accompanies you throughout the game. You are pretty much the last survivor in Shibuya after a mysterious fog rolls in and causes the disappearance of everybody else. Then for some reason, your sister who again for some reason didn't vanish like everybody else becomes the target of the bad guy and you have to go against the bad guy! Yes by me saying that, the story was meh. Not bad but not great either. I think the major strength of the game lies in the environmental design. The level of detail in the environment was really astonishing and kudos to the artists/game designers. It's just too bad it wasn't accompanied by a compelling story and worthwhile open world activities which I'll get to below. But nevertheless, here are some photos! You can literally see the rust on some of these pans and utensils! Just like in yakuza, I love how each little food package has its own logo. So messy but you wouldn't see this level of detail typically in a game! They even modelled a tiny piece of soap besides the big bar of soap when you have that lazy sibling who just opens a new bar of soap and leaves the old one behind Gorgeous! As I mentioned however, the open world activities were just reaaaallly bland. If Ubisoft is on your shit list, then I don't think I can recommend this game. There was like a bajillion things you had to collect. I did enjoy learning about Japanese folklore but you can just easily tell, the game content creators felt compelled to extend the game time by a LOT. By a lot, I mean they make you collect 240,300 spirits... (Among other bajillion things). Why that number you ask? Well it's approximately the population size of Shibuya. Some smart ass decided this was a good idea! Anyway... Because I really loved the environment in this game, I'd say I still had a decent time with it. Plus some of the music tracks you collect were fire like this one collection by DJ Multiverse. Anywho... I'd say my final verdict is that despite some of the monotonous gameplay, I can't say I regret playing ghostwire Tokyo. I think it was worth it just for the exploration alone and taking in the sights. Could've been better but oh well! Onto the next!

Popular Post No longer here
#183 - Shadow Warrior Rating/Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 8/10 Time: 35 Hours PSNP Rarity: 1.48% PSN Rarity: 0.2% First time playing a game from Flying Wild Hog, This game from 2013 plays like a classic FPS shooter with some pretty sick sword combat! The gore and dismemberment in this game is actually pretty satisfying, made me feel like a actual ninja! The guns are fine, some are better than others and the enemy designs I think were good for the most part. I have to admit, I did like the story with all its humor and knows when to take itself not too seriously. I actually enjoyed the characters despite the voice acting being weird sometimes lol. Wang was a fun protagonist for sure! I do wish some of the level designs were better, I got lost in some sections cause they look the same sometimes. The game's combat is fast and intense when it gets there, but sometimes the pacing of the fight or level can put it off. Overall, the games good, and I think it holds up well in most areas! For any FPS fan or action game fan, go for this! #184 - Resident Evil 2 (PS5) Rating/Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 5/10 Time: 25 Hours PSNP Rarity: 43.26% PSN Rarity: 7.8% It's been three years since I played this gem, I didn't do ps4 version since I got lazy with collectibles lol. The game is still an amazing experience first time around and the extra playthroughs make you feel like you're speed running it in a good way! The gameplay was good, the atmosphere, sound and level design were top tier in this game! My only negative about this game is that the 2nd run of a character's story was underwhelming, nonetheless, still very fun. The length was not what I expected but overall it was quality from the get-go! Still my favorite Resident Evil with RE7!
Popular Post Darling Baphomet
184: Crysis 2 Remastered - 30.17% Massive improvement over the first game. The campaign is great and full of fantastic setpieces, and the game actually looks gorgeous on PS5; perhaps not at the level of a PS5 game (especially once you get up close and personal with the character models), but certainly better than most PS4 games. The weapon variety is great and aliens are actually fun to fight this time around. Also, the soundtrack kicks ass. Pretty straightforward platinum, too - a few collectibles to look forwards to and level specific trophies, but supersoldier difficulty is a breeze, because much like in 1 you can simply abuse cloak to skip most encounters.
Popular Post KaganDraka4
#258 The Bear and the Wolf Collect all Trophies Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 8/10 Simply put, I wouldn't mind if this or Elden Ring got the GOTY award but I'm leaning toward Elden Ring for various reasons. Ragnarok did a lot of things better compared to the 2018 title but at the same time it took A LOT of steps back making this almost a slight chore to beat. Under the Mayo and Angry Joe's criticism of the game are almost if not identical to mine except for Richard Schiff portraying Odin criticism. (I personally thought he was a perfect fit for the role.) I'll post a few gripes of my own just as they have stated in their videos. Camera angles seems to be your worst enemy more than ever and sometimes it can be even worse than the previous title. TOO MANY ENEMIES in a handful of encounters including boss battles, as well a god-awful attack indicator that doesn't tell you what kind of attack it is, where precisely it's coming from, and when it's coming. This forces you too many times to break away from your current enemy and combine that with the previously stated awful problematic camera angles/speed, this easily kill the flow and momentum of the combat (sometimes even you) making it completely unfun and infuriating. Spartan Rage got nerfed to all hell whereas in one encounter I couldn't even take out an even-leveled grunt enemy with my punch barrages mid-game and near endgame even though I was completely decked out and upgraded, NEVER used it, if barely and traded it in favor of Spartan Valor. Hrolf, half of the berserkers, and Gna are hands down the worst gimmicked and programmed bosses of the game. Remember Malenia, Blade of Miquella? These bosses have BS game logic breaking mechanics like her where you are literally forced to cheese them in order to no damage run them. Personally, I think Santa Monica Studio designed them this way to piss off level 1 No Damage run players. 2018 was definitely possible even with the Glass Ballista debuff armor set but this game, nope. Sometimes they don't even follow their own attack patterns no matter how many times you study them over and over again, sometimes their choreographed moves are way to fast to tell whether they are doing an unblockable, stun, or normal attack and sometimes they do it WAY TOO FAST for you to counteract against them appropriately. They really did not programmed this game to be played on anything above Give Me Balance whereas the 2018 was within reason and I did a no damage run myself on GMGoW to unlock the rest of the cosmetic reward, but with this game however I gave up a quarter of the way when all of my gripes culminated all at once and made me nearly pop a blood vessel. Characters, story, acting, dialogue, cohesive relationships/developments, and the rest were sublime. The certain gameplay aspects and camera angles however were seriously left to be desired. Oh and the final act was heavily rushed, underwhelming, and lackluster IMO. #259 NFS Hot Pursuit Elite Awarded for successfully collecting all Need for Speed™ Hot Pursuit Remastered trophies Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 6.5/10 Enjoyment and difficulty could've gotten better scores if the damn AI Rubberbanding wasn't so damn obvious and vicious in the second half of the game. Not to mention the second half of the game's Rapid Response, Time Trials, and Races being heavily dependent on RNG, making you pray and hope that random NPC cars don't show themselves at critical junctures during the races. Sometimes you'll crash because NPC cars will instantly teleport 3~5 feet in front of you with no given warning or simply the car didn't have enough time to spawn making it seem like you crashed into an invisible wall in the middle of the road. Honestly the draw distance in some of this game's maps are simply unforgivable and inexcusable for a PS4 title, remaster or not. Popular Post sandman-235
#15 The Bear and the Wolf God Of War Ragnarok 1 week, 1 hour, 27 minutes (~40 In-Game Hours) I enjoyed my time with this one, I played the original I believe last year but did not really focus on any extra content outside of the main story, so the difficulty of the post game compared to the main story line in this game was a surprise for me. I think game play wise it improves in every way compared to the first game in this new Norse mythology but story wise I much prefer the first game. Some character motivations and some bad pacing in certain areas really did not vibe well with me. With that said, the story is still very good and got my emotions at times. As far the platinum is concerned, it was somewhat straight forward, just do everything possible for the most part and collect everything. The travel system between realms is vastly improved over the 2018 title but is still a pain to deal with for grabbing any collectibles you may have missed or now have access to. A few of the end game bosses gave me some issues but I overcame the fights in the end. Popular Post MatThaRiPP3R84
Satisfaction 5 Fun 7 the game is fun, and at first i really liked it. it's an old skool isometric GTA style game, and this one is meticulously crafted in a similar vein to the OG San Andreas with a really high level of interactivity with the game world. And aw dropping attention to detail. But unfortunately I cannot recommend for a multitude of reasons: The graphics are nice, frame rate is ok but those 2 things coupled with the camera just gave me a headache, a sort of tension headache that made me feel like i'd been awake 2 days straight, and i only just turned it on. The game autosaves way too much which just adds to any INSTABILITY also added by the DLC, My game save corrupted and I had to do like 10 hrs again All in All it's a ok game, but the problems are many. Play only if you really like theese types of games. Edited December 2, 2022 by MatThaRiPP3R84

I have at long last earned this platinum badge of courage for enduring numerous JASOOOOON quips and constant QTE HELL. Popular Post Nauticus87
Shoutout to @Undead Wolf. Your post put this game on my radar. On 21/11/2022 at 10:36 PM, Undead Wolf said: #430 - Bakumatsu Rock: Ultra Soul snip #696 - Bakumatsu Rock: Ultra Soul Managed to just about sneak into the fastest top 50 for this. Not too bad overall, though the hardest difficulty will be the make or break for most people, especially if you don't have much experience with rhythm games. I had two main issues I needed to overcome: 1) The notes being too bunched together. I prefer if there is a scroll speed, any way to break notes apart, as I can sight-read better that way rather than trying to break apart clusters. With a bit of time my eyes adjusted. That and increased reaction time from muscle memory gave me enough to decipher the notes one-by-one. 2) The randomness of note positions. I have two hands. Left does the arrows and right does , , , . Simple. Except when the arrows are coming down the right side of the screen and interspersed with symbols. Before my brain clicked into gear I was hitting instead of left, or hitting up when I meant to be hitting . I appreciate this adds to the difficulty so it's not a negative, more a learning curve. Also be aware the screen is used to the fullest, in some songs they spread those notes very far apart and it can be tough for your eyes to catch it all. Once those hiccups were cleared I enjoyed how it all felt. The song charts are intuitive (ignoring easy which in nearly any rhythm game never has enough notes to feel like you're playing along to the song) and the songs themselves are fun. If I was going to say a negative it would be that the backgrounds are a bit too busy. On a few of the brighter tracks I found it difficult to see all the notes. If you're a fan of rhythm games I'd recommend adding this to your collection. No knowledge of Japanese is needed. You'll need to get a physical copy but I found plenty for sale at reasonable prices (I paid £12). Worst is having to skip through a visual novel section (again, unless you can read Japanese) to unlock all the songs. Perhaps have the sound down a little as speeding through it is like listening to a cartoon show on hyperspeed, no idea who the sound director was but they added every sound effect they could! Alternatively, if you're more curious about rhythm games and looking to get into the genre I'd say there are much better options to begin with than this.
