This could be another game by itself, it was so nice to play. #59 and #60: Stray (PS4/PS5) - All Done Took way too long to finish the PS4 version (4 months lol) and I am ashamed. The worldbuilding is great, incredible aesthetics and it has a purrfect protagonist. Loved the experience albeit I left wanting a bit more. I almost didn't get the speedrun trophy at first with 1:52 but in my PS5 playthrough cut down the time a lot to 1:40. Great game to play if you have PS Extra. Popular Post Starrk_01
Plat #217: LEGO Harry Potter Collection: Years 5-7 (PS4) Last LEGO game I'm going to play for awhile (just did three in nearly a row), but game was enjoyable. Didn't glitch out like Years 1-4 so that was at least appreciated. I was trying to finish this game before the 30th for the Trophy Hunting Cancer Event but am a few days late (I'll blame the fact that I was sick but in reality if I was healthy I probably still wouldn't have finished it). Anyways, time to go back to the backlog and clean up some other games.

Popular Post GarciaFever
#215 RWBY: Arrowfell As a fan of RWBY, I was so glad that this game was released for both PS4 and PS5 several weeks ago. It's not a bad game per se, but I just wish there was more to it, such as additional DLC characters. The game takes place between volumes 7 and 8 of the main anime, but there's nothing major in regards to spoilers. Other than that, it's just a typical side-scroller. All of the trophies can be achieved with minimal effort, and the only thing you have to worry about is getting enough skill points to max out all characters (which is best done after you have acquired Yang's enhanced semblance in Chapter 4) and backtrack to each area that you weren't able to access before. Overall, I would rate the difficulty a 4/10.
Popular Post kingjavs
#125 - Finally got my Disgaea 5 Platinum. NGL - I was SO sick of this game by the end (255 hours). I was pretty convinced I was going to leave this platinum empty but by the end of my regular playthrough, I only had two trophies left, so I felt like I owed it to see it out. If only I knew those two trophies would be another 100hour runtime Anyways - glad its over. I love Disgaea, but get burnt out when it gets to post game content. I think the next Disgaea game I play, I will promise myself not to feel the need to platinum. I had this same battle with D1 like two years ago lol.

Popular Post s68sc
#125 - Persona 4 Golden I honestly slept on this for far too long, I did play Persona 3 Portable some years ago and I loved it but I didn't play Persona 4, and this game for me was better than P3 Portable, granted I didn't play Persona 3 FES that I want to play on December for sure, It was a long journey, almost 100 hours of pure joy, yes I did speedrun the second playthrough because I want to get the platinum trophy without spending another 50 hours and it was worth it, also Naoto and Marie were the best girls of the entire game, I will replay it on PS4 together with Persona 3 Portable (I hope I did complete Persona 3 FES before the release of P3 Portable), nothing wrong about this game but maybe because I love the classic turn-based JRPG.
Popular Post StraightVege
The Surge 2 (Repetitive, ain't it?) #312 Largely taking the tried and true "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" approach, The Surge 2 is a decidedly conventional kind of sequel, doing basically everything its predecessor did, just bigger and better. Consequently, it also retains many of the first's flaws, yet remains among the most enjoyable Soulslikes on the market. Set in a corporatocracy not terribly unlike our own, colossal conglomerate CREO's tech bro solution to climate change results in something of a grey goo scenario, where rogue nanites are corrupting everything in sight. Thankfully, the Surge universe's corporate overloads also saw fit to enhance the performance of their workers via powered exo-suits, called Rigs, which greatly improve strength, speed, and survivability in the post-apocalyptic Jericho City. Of course, you'll first need to contend with other Rig-equipped maniacs to acquire necessary crafting components and a means of defending yourself. Exploring the dystopian urban sprawl is fun when you aren't hopelessly lost in its maze of alleyways, staircases, and redundant shortcuts. I found the world design here slightly less confusing than the original game's, but it was a problem nonetheless, especially since there's no map to rely on. You play as the survivor of a plane crash—which occurs when an automated CREO rocket carrying nanites collides with the aircraft—who seems to have developed a strange psychic connection with a fellow passenger, a child named Athena, following the accident. This unexplained urge to locate and protect her is what motivates the player character to fight their way through the fallen city, dealing with a cliché cult of technology worshipers and hostile government remnants along the way, both of whom oppose their mission. Amusingly, Doug Cockle voices a couple of characters, and they sound awfully similar to Geralt of Rivia. Like Surge 1, the mediocre story wasn't ever going to win awards, but chopping up bad guys to misappropriate their gear and deadly implements is so darn fun that you probably won't care about the predictable plot points anyway. Indeed, the best aspect of the original returns: amputating enemy limbs to salvage new equipment. Simply lock onto the desired body part (arms, legs, torso, or head) and hack away until it's weakened enough to lop off with a spectacular slow-motion finishing move, then craft the resulting blueprint at the nearest Medbay checkpoint. This remains as satisfying as ever, providing an addictive, steady flow of armor and weapon upgrades, and encouraging you to meet each new enemy type by systematically taking them apart to collect their cool stuff. To a large extent, the mechanic is pretty reliable, but occasionally falters in some inexplicable way, causing you to miss out on a part when the enemy dies before you manage to remove the targeted limb. Finishing animations can sometimes glitch out severely, too; it could definitely stand to be more polished on the whole, but works well enough. The combat experience feels essentially identical to Surge 1's, featuring a massive arsenal of weapons with wacky-yet-versatile movesets. Many of them are more akin to awkward industrial tools being wielded as makeshift weapons, illustrated by the often overelaborate animations that leave you open to counterattacks. If you want to survive, it's prudent to learn the quickest, safest strikes your chosen implement has and stick to them. Aiming for unarmored parts deals more damage, making fights easier, but won't earn new blueprints. There's several drone types you can summon, as well, offering a number of ranged attack options, like an electric blast to stun enemies. Otherwise, it's the typical Soulslike formula of deliberate attacks, dodging, stamina management, and corpse runs to reclaim dropped resources upon death. One interesting addition, though, is directional blocking. Performed by holding L1 and flicking the right analog towards an incoming attack, this powerful defensive ability allows nearly anything to be parried, staggering your foe for a moment. While the timing is fairly forgiving, it still requires quite a bit of skill to land these consistently, therefore I admittedly engaged with this new mechanic sparingly. Dodging has always been more my speed in these games, what can I say. I'm certain players more capable than I will exploit blocking to great effect, trivializing many encounters. Adds a nice wrinkle to battles, at least. Also intact is the unorthodox leveling system, wherein gaining levels increases the overall core power of your Rig, letting you equip additional cybernetic implant abilities and more energy-hungry armor sets. Besides weapon upgrades, this is your main means of becoming stronger over time, instead of merely increasing stats. However, you're also allotted 2 points per level-up this time around, which can be spent to raise your health, stamina, and battery (a meter consumed for finishing moves, healing injections, etc.). I was rather fond of this setup in the original, so it pleased me to see it come back. To conclude, fans of the first outing are likely to adore this sequel, but I doubt it will change the minds of detractors. Then again, I've definitely read opinions like "it's so much better/worse than the first game!", so who knows; personally, I didn't notice a substantial difference. Altogether, they're very solid action RPGs, and I hope the series is continued someday. From what I understand, Deck13 is working on a couple of different titles at the moment, so I doubt it'll happen anytime soon. Popular Post Darling Baphomet
185: Crysis 3 Remastered (28.81%) Finally finished all of the Crysis games on PS5! Crysis 3 is kind of an oddball game - it seems to want to take the middle ground between the spectacular linear levels of Crysis 2 and the large, open maps of Crysis 1, and it does somewhat accomplish that, but the end result is that you have a game that consists of only 8 levels compared to Crysis 2's 18. The levels are all very different in terms of looks and gameplay, although that actually takes away a bit from the feeling of continuity from Crysis 2. The gameplay is probably the best in the series; sprinting no longer takes energy, you get a lovely bow you can use while cloaked, and the actually-fun-to-fight aliens from Crysis 2 have been expanded upon and made even more fun to fight. Also, unlike 2, it actually has a final boss, and it's not dreadful to fight against unlike Crysis 1's. Also, the game's pretty as fuck, undoubtedly aided by the overgrown city aesthetic that permeates most of its levels. The story's a bit of an oddity, though - neither Crysis 1 or 2 had particularly good writing, but it worked because the story wasn't the focus, and you were a voiceless marine. Crysis 3 tries to be a character focused story which just ends up being kind of... weird, because none of the characters (nor the somehow alive again main character, Prophet) are incredibly detailed or compelling. All in all a solid FPS game, and my fourth FPS plat in a row.
Popular Post MarcusPunisher
Platinum # 185 - Friday the 13th: The Game 0.77% - Ultra Rare This is it. This is my rarest possible platinum that I will most likely ever get. There is no way up from here, I can just retire as a trophy hunter. But honestly, I never in a million years would think that I could get even close to this platinum, but with a great community and patience to get the cursed number of matches out with boosting, I finally managed to get it. As for the game, it is a miracle that it came out so decent as it did, despite the really troublesome launch. I always thought that this was a much better concept than Dead by Daylight and the overall gameplay was much more fun and less repetitive. It will forever be a shame that they had to discontinue the service when we were so close to getting Jason X skin, which only remains as an easter egg in the virtual cabinet and playable mod on PC. It still made for some fun moments and I hope the upcoming Texas Chainsaw Massacre can ignite some of that charm, cause Hunting Grounds surely couldn't. Platinum in this is brutal. It is not even that difficult, you will just have to spend a crazy amount of time with this game with 1000 matches as Counseller and Jason respectively. It feels even longer when you get through it as there is no tracker to count the number of matches. You better prepare for some consistent dedication if you want to get this one. The fact that this platinum is rarer than Wolfenstein II is really crazy. I'm just glad that I was able to finish this one up before this year is over. I was hoping to get it during the Halloween run, but I completely failed at that. Better later than never, I guess. It would be fun to try to get after even rarer platinum, but I don't think that will be my goal anytime soon for any game. ?
Valzentia
#117 - Adventure Time: Finn and Jake Investigations (PS3) Difficulty: 1/10 Fun: 7/10 Played this on PS4 and rehearsed it again shortly before I did this stack. It paid off considering I blew through it in 4 and a half hours... #118 - Hannah Montana: The Movie Difficulty: Bullshit/10 for the Bottle Toss game, 2/10 for everything else Fun: It's not perfect/10 (nobody's perfect!) My shame is real and unimaginable to mere mortals. I sat down and actually played this pile of shit. The game sucks ass and this is coming from someone who actually likes the music; it's an insipid, uninspired Rock Band clone without any charm or care, but hey, nobody's perfect...

Popular Post megslushboy
#090 - God of War Ragnarok Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 Would have gotten a 10/10 for me, but traversal is quite boring across the board. I was able to beat the game in about 25 hours, and then it took another 15 for collectibles. Would really have like to spent a bit less time on collectibles as walking/rowing/climbing got very boring very fast. HOWEVER The combat, the story, the voice acting, the overall universe and its delivery are superb. I would recommend this game to anyone with thumbs who owns a PS5. #091 - Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 I had a great time with this one. The original Ratchet and Clank game is one I've always really enjoyed for the voice acting and gameplay. This entry does not disappoint. The shorter story and easy-to-find collectibles made it an absolute joy to play, especially after the slight slog of God of War Ragnarok's collectibles. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Really loved these games! And for different reasons, lol. One thing both games really excel at are the accessibility options. There's just awesome options for these games. I'm really glad Sony has been picking it up with the accessibility/options in their first-party titles. Popular Post Darling Baphomet
186: Superhot VR (0.67%) Spent the last five hours working on the no death challenge because I'm too stubborn to give up, and then cleaning up the 10 minute run challenge and the collectibles. And yes, I am in pain. Now, say hello to my new rarest platinum trophy by a wide margin! Superhot VR was one of the early VR games and is still widely considered a must have, although coming from more modern titles (namely Pistol Whip), it now feels rather inadequate in comparison. It's a pretty short game where you must dispatch groups of enemies using guns, knives, shurikens (actually, no, these suck ass), and random items you find lying around. The twist is that time only moves when you do, allowing you to tactically plan out your moves or dodge bullets in bullet time. When it's working, it's exhilarating and highly satisfying - unfortunately the PSVR port does not work around its limitations at all, suffering from frequent drifting and other control issues, and especially once you get to the challenge runs (the bulk of the game, as the base game can be completed in less than ten minutes), those limitations really start to hurt. Maybe Pistol Whip just spoiled me. But still, it's a fun game, and smashing pixelated heads (which look surprisingly good on PSVR) and hearing SUPER HOT repeated ad nauseum is an enjoyable experience even with issues. Popular Post OTPYG
Platinum #181 The Callisto Protocol Game Rating: 5/10 Platinum Difficulty: 3/10 Time to platinum: 7h Recommended: Not at its current price point I had high expectations for this game. It was meant to satisfy my Dead Space itch until that remake lands in 2023. And sadly it left me disappointed. The story is meh. The characters, forgettable. The dialogue left me shaking my head in awkwardness. There’s very little horror - the cringeworthy attempts at jump scares will have you rolling your eyes rather than making things tense. The mini-boss enemy variety is sorely lacking - one mini boss you fight halfway through the game gets repeated another 3 times before the end. The exact same boss. The whole game just feels a bit lazy and underdone. It’s also very short; I beat it on the medium difficulty setting in 7 hours. And the game tries to pad its length by forcing you to ‘stealth’ through several of the latter missions to deal with enemies who can’t see but have supersonic hearing, too. I’m struggling to find glowing positives to mention. The game looks pretty, when the framerate isn’t struggling that is. And it does sound great too. All in all, the Gamespot review that is getting shit on by people who have only played an hour or two of the game, I find myself agreeing with. What a underwhelming disappointment The Callisto Protocol was. Edited December 5, 2022 by OTPYG

setobox
#46 Vera Blanc: Full Moon-Platinum Vera Pretty good game but you need to save often as failing the puzzles will make you have to start the game over from the very beginning. There are no auto saves. You can play without the puzzles but they are required for the plat. Also in the minesweeper like puzzle, on the ps4 version, the cursor sometimes goes to "Give Up" which ends the puzzle and the game.
Popular Post JIMMOTHYY
#59: Shovel Knight Shovel Justice Total Achievers: 3,557 (5.83%) 3,000th trophy The game takes a long time the first time around because you are exploring every secret room and shoveling at every crack, but by the third or fourth playthrough you can get through each level in about 5 minutes. Completing the game in NG+ will make your remaining NG runs easier because your health bar essentially doubles (Your take double damage in NG+). Still, you really have to like the game if you're going to run through the same levels atleast 6 - 7 times. Want to tackle the DLCs someday, but that's basically like doing the Platinum all over again for only two trophies each.
