Popular Post AgentSmiz
Platinum 163: Tchia Fun, if not a little flawed, exploration game. Can tell the creators took a lot of inspiration from The Legend of Zelda series (Wind Waker and Breath of the Wild particularly) but put their own spin on it. Story and visual wise, it's a treat and there's some nice gameplay mechanics to freshen it up. Lore wise, there's loads to learn about the world in which the game takes place. Unfortunately, it suffers from a bad case of FarCryitis. Big open map but you're doing the same thing over and over. There's over 500 various collectables, races, bandit camps, viewpoints etc so it's a lot of the same thing. Fast travel is available but it can still be a trek and there's 2 locations towards the endgame that really could have used a fast travel point post game for convivence. Also had a couple of crashes - one of which seems to happen a lot to others in the final cutscene - as well as a complete freeze up twice in the same location. Trophies wise, there's nothing too challenging as it's more just about the length of time. Sort of game that you can crack on an album to and listen to that as you go about getting the collectables. Overall, I'd recommend the game but if you are prone to open world fatigue, then maybe give a miss. Still a solid enough title.
JaKMagnus
Don’t usually bash games but just platinumed a game called Jett: The Far Shore+ Given time DLC. Definitely one of the few games I regret playing entirely. Totally destroyed the impression got from the trailer few years back. I enjoyed small budget games with good storytelling like Oxenfree, The Council, Dreamfall chapters and so on. Also enjoyed small games with good gameplay like Velocity2x, Transistor, Rogue legacy etc.. And even enjoyed something in between like John Wick Hex, Ghost of a tale. This game has neither. They tried to tell a deep space story with playmobil looking character models and fictional gibberish language you can only understand by reading subtitles. Way too many dialogues and cutscenes you’re forced to watch and listen for long period. By 3 hours mark I was so sick of this language, had to mute their voices for the rest of the game. Gameplay wise the game constantly took control away from you, become slow mo and keep instructing over and over what you’re supposed to do instead of letting you figure it out. Way too restricting to play and the objectives are total snoozefest. The performance is also very poor for simple looking game. Constant stutter and frame drop ruined the experience even more. The DLC is another monster entirely. Finally the game stop giving instructions and let you figure out on your own. That’s a huge improvement for sure. Those mini puzzles are fun to solve at first but it drag on and on without new ideas for next 8 hours. The bad controls are especially highlighted in the DLC. If anyone is thinking of playing this please don’t. Easy trophies or no there are others games deserves your precious time and enjoyment.

Popular Post disaster500
#67 Just Cause 4 - 6.08% Personal Difficulty - 4/10 Time Played - 35 hours This isn't as hard or as grindy as Just Cause 3. In that game, the hardest part was getting 5 stars on over 100 challenges, some being quite hard, especially a few wingsuit challenges and the buggy Laguna Blast. In Just Cause 4 you "only" need to complete 436 stunts scattered across the entire map. It's not hard but it takes a decently long time. JC4 isn't as good as JC3 either, there's not as much variety with the stuff you do, the main villain is bland and only shows up in like 3 short cutscenes, and your cast of allies isn't as interesting (where's Moo-rio?). But what was fun in JC3 is still fun, the traversal with the grapple, parachute, and wingsuit is still there and everything still explodes.
Popular Post No longer here
#191 - Hogwarts Legacy (PS5) Rating/Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Time: 80 Hours PSNP Rarity: 17.89% PSN Rarity: 1.3% As a Harry Potter fan I was satisfied with most of the game and the details that came along with it. You can tell Hogwarts Castle had a lot of heart put into it as almost everything was interactive and the environment/atmosphere stood out as well. The spells and combat system is what I expected from this type of game in a good way. It wasn't too great nor was it bad, but it made the most sense and I made the most out of those spell combos! The side missions (especially Sebastian) were pretty enjoyable and reminded me that lots of stuff go on between the four different houses. Being in those classrooms and some story line quests really felt immersive, adding to the experience. I got to say the best part of the game is the Hogwarts Castle, it's so nicely designed and it's what I imagined the castle would look like in a game. This game has charm and there is a lot of great things in the game that fans would appreciate! I have to admit that the open world was kinda lacking and definitely the least enjoyable part of the game. I understand it is an RPG, but it was pretty basic and made it seem like just an open world collect-a-thon with just a Harry Potter theme to it. Atleast the collectibles made sense and it applies well to the world. The game wants you to complete and collect everything. which is why I felt a little burned out near the end. The upgrade and trait system were pretty simplistic, but it didn't really affect my playthroughs at all tbh. Yeah some voice acting could be cringe and the story is not all that crazy (final boss was eh), but the journey was well worth it in the end because I can tell the game had effort in it in almost everyway. Despite some issues I had with the game in general, the game is still very good imo and is well worth a try especially if you're a Harry Potter fan, you would be getting the most fun out of it (like I did) and would be impressed on how well executed the game is at its peak!
Popular Post KaganDraka4
#268 The New Colossus Obtain all trophies. Enjoyment: 5/10 Difficulty: 10/10 MEIN F***ING LEBEN!!! This trophy alone is what warrants the 10/10 difficulty and for all the wrong reasons. Not to mention this being the 2nd worst Wolfenstein game in the entire series with Youngblood being the worst by majority. It really baffles me that the same guys that developed/wrote the amazing The Old Blood and The New Order was responsible for this over politically ham-fisted, character assassinating crap. BJ was reduced to a near-mute side character and got emasculated into the stereotypical tragic character trope, forced to endure almost everyone's verbal abuse, racist tirade, and stupidity. I just want to have fun and kill Nazis in classic Wolfenstein run, gun, and massacre style, not a cover based stealth shooter where BJ is literally swiss cheese even on Easy/Normal difficulty and is everyone's emotional punching bag. It's fun in certain segments, but IMHO it felt like MachineGames completely forgot about what a Wolfenstein game is supposed to be.

Popular Post SaiyanSenshi
Grand Theft Auto 5 Los Santos Legend #16 + All Dlc Rating/Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: 6/10 Duration: Around 100 Hours Rarity Psn: 0.1% Ultra Rare Rarity Psnp: 5.51% Very Rare Where to start on this game. It’s one of my favorite games of all time, but the reason I gave it a 9/10. Is cause this was like the 6/7th time I did the story. So it wasn’t that exciting to me anymore….The story is incredible what rockstar already created in 2013 is crazy. Ofcourse rockstargames always delivers. For people that still haven’t played the story give it a try you won’t be disappointed. Online wise this was the 3th time I leveled to 100. I have to say back in the day it would take many many more hours to get to level 100. If you do the ceo stuff over and over again you’ll level really quick and if you do the heists you’ll also get like 30 levels from that. Speaking about the heists the first heist dlc is easy ofcourse don’t really need to say anything about that one… Masterminds tho many people fear for this trophy. I did the same thing on my old account. I would never have gotten this hadn’t I created a new account. For people that still want to do this go for it. I thought I was gonna spend months on this, but is was only a few weeks it isn’t that hard with a good team and good communication. I even got the 2 man Masterminds done in 1 day ? The rockstar Editor is a 1 day thing. You can complete it really quick fun little addition to the game. Very good for people who really want to create stuff with it! Overal it’s an amazing game and an amazing experience event the masterminds was really exciting if you have not played it give it a try!!!!

Popular Post ASMODAIOS344
Becoming Sherlock Holmes Get every trophy. Total play time: 45.17h Base game+dlc packs I will give my thoughts in 3 sections to keep it simple and short but i can say alot. Gameplay: Chapter One take the mechanisms of Sinking City refined them and add them to the Sherlock Holmes series. The investigation system is the same ( no handholding ) is take some time to understand it but when it clicks is a fantastic experience or if have a hard time you can read the ''How to play" section. New to the series is the addition of side quests ( more in the story section) combat which is very simply but totally optional ( it can disable in the settings ) and disguice. In previous games outfits was only for looks here clothes take active part in the gameplay, the right disguise can give access to the right place or make a npc talk to you. Story: After play all the game along with the dlcs i can easily say that is the best story Frogwares has ever write. I really like how the narrative was structure around some key themes and how the main cases and side cases interconnected in a fashion similar to a novel with some very subtle notes especially in some side quests. The dlc quest "Beyond a Joke" and dlc storyline ''M for Mystery" and are a good example of how those subtle notes that i mention previously have big consequences. The highlight of story cannot be anything else than the relationship of the main characters, the interactions between Sherlock, Jon, Mr.Vogel and Mycroft in some parts this back and forth with each character reflect key elements of narrative is given in a way that is not only natural but cumulative to a unexpected ending. Ending & Epiloge: Spoiler To be totally honest i didn't except that the main case of the game will lead to that and not only that but there are four!! endings. The choises are open to interpretation and i don't know which one is canon or if ever is a canon one, so i choose the one that seems more right to me or in Mycroft words '' the bigger picture". The epilogue scene is taken directly from the novel '' A Study in Scarlett '' i don't say anything else Overall i greatly enjoy Chapter One and definitely i replay it again in the near future, if you like story driven games perhaps you will find something here not only pass your time but to think or at least to experience what the island of Cordona has to offer. Popular Post mr_enigma26
Cyberpunk 2077 Difficulty: 4/10 Time: About 70 hours Enjoyment: 7.5/10 Been meaning to write up some of my recent platinum's but being a new dad and all really consumes your time for good reason. However, here we are so LFG. So back when this game originally came out the Hype Train was insane. Everyone and their grandmother thought this game would be a start of a new dawn in gaming but it was anything but. No need to rehash it but the Hype Train derailed spectacularly and damaged CD Projekt Red reputation. Fast forward about a year and half from launch with multiple patches I see this game for $9.99 Canadian on amazon and thought, "Well its 10 friggin bucks, even if its still garbage at least I didnt waste that much money". Few days later it arrives in the mail and about 70 hours later I got myself a shiny new Platinum. The Verdict: The Good - Not sure how this was back on the PS4 but on the PS5 it ran pretty well. Graphically Night City looks really pretty and the colors do pop. The sense of atmosphere and world building is evident from the back alleys to the desert. Story wise it held my attention enough to see how V would survive his ordeal and the side characters were interesting and had enough dimensions to them without feeling bland. Personally I thought the side missions revolving around the side characters more interesting than the main story itself. I especially thought Panam's story much more compelling. Combat was pretty decent whether you were gun centric or wanted to focus on your abilities. I went for a Monowire build which shredded most enemies and was a blast to play. The Not so Good: Remember all that hype when this game first came out and all the things it could do? Well the game was never going to meet that hype. Main story itself was average and I personally felt V as a character was very bland. The relationship between V and Johnny felt disjointed as well. The game still had some glitches like T-posing characters and clipping issues. The game crashed about 5 times during my game time which aint bad but is disconcerting. The gunplay also fell flat for a FPS, as I felt it didnt feel snappy in a sense and with how you distribute your attribute points you are forced to specialize in a particular firearm. Then there is the trophy for clearing out all the crime in every area and finding all the fast travel points. These were a monotonous over bearing busy work. Doing those trophies alone will add another 3 or 4 hours to your game time. Reminds me of the god awful riddler trophies in Arkham Knight. I dont mind collectibles but when you have an egregious amount your wasting the player's time and testing their patience. Overall, if you havent played this game yet I would still recommend it but only if its on a good discount. The trophy list isnt really difficult just time consuming. Perhaps you will enjoy the story and characters more than me as it is subjective. As well with the new DLC coming soon might be worth diving into Night City and giving the developer another chance to polish this game further. God of War Ragnarok Difficulty: 4/10 Time: About 50 hours Enjoyment: 9.5/10 Not much I need to write as this was a great game through and through. Does everything a good sequel should do which are building on the characters, story, and game play mechanics. Loved how we got a bit more insight to Kratos as a father and Altreus growing from a boy to a man. I loved my time with this game. Popular Post Leon Castle
#243 Mortal Kombat X 20th Mar 2023 Sequel to MK(2011) also known as MK9 and 2nd game in the new timeline trilogy. MKX was easier than MK9 and harder than MK11 to plat. #244 Mortal Kombat 11 26th Mar 2023 Sequel to MKX and final game in the new timeline trilogy. Once past the Raiden kombo in the Tutorial, it will be easy getting the plat. Although not needed for plat, I went and impaled all heads in the warrior shrine. #245 Young Justice: Legacy 28th Mar 2023 Set in five year gap between seasons one and two of the Young Justice animated TV show. The plat for this not-too-many-times-it-freezes-but-would-freeze-a lot-more-with-"update"-game is easy, only 2 runs of story(Hard and then Co-op/Normal) and then the challenges. only thing hard about it is trying to tolerate the freezes that only happened on the Ridder stage of the Gotham City levels, some of the last level's stages and final round of the first challenge(only time it happened while playing) and the 4th challenge without patch, with patch as soon as the 1st level loads... The game is the closest you get to a "DC Ultimate Alliance" game but unlike Marvel Ultimate Alliance you can't solo/just be one character so doing Art Preservation Society Trophy without 3 controllers will be a headache as AI teammate just loves breaking stuff. Also unlike Marvel Ultimate Alliance you can't pick your team leader so you are only allowed to pick two other characters (My most used characters were Superboy and the two healers Miss Martian and later Zatanna).
Popular Post mr_enigma26
Chorus Difficulty 3/10 Time to Plat: About 30 hours Enjoyment 6/10 I had been itching to play a space fighter game for a while and seeing how this game was free on PS Plus I decided to give it a shot. All I can say is its a rather aggressively average AA game that does look pretty but gets tiring quick. The Good: The Dogfights. That is the game's main schtick and to its credit it does do it well. The range of abilities do make it fun to play and the frantic large scale battles does invoke a Star Wars feel in terms of scale. The weapons are limited but in conjunction with the abilities you gain its a fun affair. The Not so Good: Game really is a victim of a genre. Your flying a ship, that's it. You can only do so many dog fights, escorts missions, Destroy A, B, C, and etc. Mission variety is simply limited. I couldnt tell you what happens in the plot as it was painfully boring and the main character was forgettable to boot. The mastery trophies were a bit of a pain to do given how many you had to do. Lastly biggest criticism is the last boss fight. Talk about poor design, it easily made me sour on the game and when the credits rolled I hastily deleted the game. The Verdict: Hey its free on PS Plus so nothing to lose to try it out. Its not a hard plat given the completion rate. You just need to be a fan of the genre. Tails of Iron Difficulty 3/10 Time to Plat: 8 hours Enjoyment 7.5/10 Cute little 2D soulsborne like game. Narrated by the same voice actor as Geralt from the Witcher Series. Straightforward easy plat that can be completed in a weekend. Trophy list is easy just make sure you have a guide just in case for the collectibles.
Popular Post Viper
#309 Nickelodeon Kart Racers Master of the Track This game was pure ass juice. Seriously, I reeeeeeaaallllllyyyyyy disliked this one. While a lot of Kart Racers try to capture that magic of Mario Kart and fail...this one was practically a blatant rip off and still managed to fail in almost every regard. How so? Mostly in the power ups...while they were Nicktoon-ified you'll find a lot of similaries here...such as a Golf Club that catches up to the player in first place (Blue Shell), or squids that cover your screen (Ink), or you have Baby Bottles that shoot straight ahead (Green Shells...there's even a variant with 3), or Footballs that home in on the nearest target (Red shells...also with a variant of 3). Pirate Ship that allows you to barrel through everyone just like Bullet Bill. And several more that are just like this. Perhaps the only unique thing here is that every character has a special ability they can pick up at random...like Angelica has 3 cookies that give her a speed boost, or Hey Arnolds uses pidgeons to fly, get a speed boost and be invulnerable for a short time. But it fails because where Mario Kart has this balance to its gameplay...this game is just a constantly bombardment of power up usage. But more than that, I swear the game has this cheap AI mechanic in place where the AI uses a detrimental power up against you THE EXACT SECOND you either use your own power up or are too far ahead and dominating. It happened WAY too often to be a coincidence. There'd be times I'd have the shield power up, and right as I press to use it, someone hits me with the Plankton power up that disrupts your engine to slow you down and steals your power up. Or for instance, I use my shieldthe AI has this uncanny ability to use the Golf Club (Blue Shell equivalent), at the moment exact moment my shield wears off so it hits me anyways. Again this happens All. The. Time! I definitely think there's some rudimentary system in place that just waits for you to perform certain actions so it can screw you over. This isn't even counting the times you're doing great then all of the sudden you get bombareded with 3-4 power ups at the same time, which causes you to lose the race because there's just nothing you can do about it. Because even then, you have a Shield power up and this waving hand power up...which acts as a shield but also sends the power up back to the user, half the time these don't work as they should anyways...because if you have it activated the AI just magically has acorn bombs and place them exactly where you're going to be. This game is just the epitome of unfair. I also don't agree with the 2/10 Plat rating...while game isn't crushingly difficult, these things above make it such a headache to play and enjoy, especially on Expert difficulty. You have 9 Cups to play...6 of which have 4 races in them, then you unlock 3 more that have 8 races a piece. And you have to play all of these cups 3 times on each difficulty level as they don't stack. Beginner, Normal and Expert are supposed to be more like 50cc, 100cc and 150cc from Mario Kart, it's mostly about the speed. But the AI does spam the power ups a lot more frequently the higher you go. There's some customization with different parts you can attach, I wouldn't so much call them upgrades though and there's no real "winning combination" of parts that makes you god like...so like Mario Kart again, it changes your stats up and down based on what you choose. The character roster is crap, so much potential with the history of Nickelodeon and they go with 12 characters from 4 shows (Spongebob, Rugrats, Hey Arnold and Ninja Turtles), they don't say anything or do much of anything at all. The graphics are terrible, and just all around I wasn't a fan of this. Not going to bother with 2 and 3...which I hear are now actually difficult and even more mind numbing to play...so no thanks.
Popular Post starcrunch061
Plat #526: The Legend of Dragoon (PS5) Pure Legend Unlock all trophies in The Legend of Dragoon. I subscribe year-by-year to PS+. I buy the base tier, and then in the future, upgrade to the Extra tier. If I see some interesting titles on Premium, I then upgrade again. Hearing that Wild Arms 2 was coming, I jumped to get a few months of Premium (which ran me $9.97 - pretty decent timing!). However, with Wild Arms 2 also came a game from my past that was not fondly remembered - The Legend of Dragoon. I purchased this game back in the day when it fell to $19.99. It wasn't particularly critically or commercially successful, but I figured it was worth a twenty. And...I hated it. The saving grace was that, for whatever reason, I got two copies of every disc within my package, so I kept one copy, and sold the game later for $20, so no real loss other than time (I still have those discs, BTW). But I didn't like this game at all. When I reviewed it on Amazon, though, I was shouted down. Apparently, this game had a devoted fan base. More than 20 years later, and that fanbase is still vocal. I decided to give this one another try on Premium. And...it's mediocre. It's not the total loss it appeared to be back in 2001 or so (there were so many top-quality JRPGs in that day). But for the life of me, I can't understand why people adore this game so much. Let's start with the good. The story seems as if it's conceived by a 10-year-old (or possibly Tetsuya Nomura). There's some war that's happening, and there are dragons, and then you turn into dragon people, and there's a Black Monster, and a ton of coincidences come together, and...yeah. The coincidences are particularly hilarious. "What? You mean he's actually...him?!? And she's...that?!? And they're related to...them?!? And she's one of...those?!? But wait - he's really not him but actually...him?!?" Yeah. And yet - this is still a strength. I mean, aren't you sick of the supposed "grown-up" nonsense in video games? I know I am. Legend of Dragoon is a throwback to the childlike innocence of the past, where a person who slaughters hundreds of thousands of people over 11,000 years can be forgiven with a pat on the back and a "that's OK!". No broody, navel-gazing anti-heroes here. Our hero is positive and intrepid. Events just roll over him, because by God - he's got a job to do! The positivity is infectious. In general, I like the characters in this game. Sure - they're one-note people, but that one-note isn't gratingly obnoxious. There is never that scene. No hot springs event where the girls talk about their breast size while one guy tries to peep, getting all the other guys in trouble. No time where we have a discussion about how a character really has to go to the bathroom (I mean, really has to go). For the most part, people act...normally, with positive intention. There's no strange, "Now we all hate this party member! No wait - we really like him/her!" Issues arise quickly, and are resolved equally quickly. The story isn't good, and yet...it is. Battle is standard turn-based fare, with a strange rhythm game hook. You have a basic attack, but as you level, you can acquire additions to this attack. These additions require a timed series of button presses. You can only equip a single set of additions at a time. As you perform additions, they become stronger. Level all additions to their maximum, and you receive a "final" addition, which is head-and-shoulders better than anything else you have. Level that, and you become a god. The rhythm game is a mess, with visual cues not matching at all required timing, but the timing is always consistent, so you can manage. It's a precursor to QTEs, and it works OK. There is also the ability to transform into dragon people (the "Dragoons" of the title). This is very annoying to me, however. It takes a ton of time, and most of the attacks are hardly better than my own individual additions. Spells, in particular, last far too long (in the spirit of the summon spells from Square back in the FFVII and FFVIII days). The game itself is a standard linear adventure tale like your mother used to make (assuming your mother is a Japanese developer of the 80s and 90s). Happily, you just happen to pick the perfect path to your goal, where monsters and equipment incrementally strengthen exactly as you need them to...with one exception. The single best piece of defensive kit can be bought on the first disc in the game. It's pricey, but it will serve for any battle for the remainder of the game. Pretty strange, but whatever. Now, the bad. Remember that story that I (kind of) praised above? Well, it's told in a putrid manner. For two discs, nothing really happens, and the game moves (relatively) fast. But on disc 3, you get a massive data dump of plot, told through a series of boring cut scenes. Much of what is said makes no sense with the rest of the game, as new characters, entities and even plot lines are introduced, one after another. It really slows down the proceedings. And speaking of slow: my God - is battle slow. It takes forever to load up. It takes forever for spells to resolve. And it's clunky to boot. Happily, the rewind feature is INCREDIBLY useful here. Did you miss that addition? No problem - just rewind! You'll get it next time...or the next...or the next...or...you'll just give up. But seriously, it helps in a lot of ways. There are some terrible design flaws in this game. For example, when selling items, you can only sell them one at a time, and after each sale, you must request ANOTHER sale, which takes you back to the TOP of your item list. Annoying. You have limited space for items (32). I actually like this idea, but it has flaws. For example, when you receive another item at the end of battle, you can either switch it out with another on your list, or discard it. But you can't use it. This is annoying when enemies drop healing potions that you likely wouldn't carry yourself, but wouldn't mind quaffing on the go. You're telling me that my party members can take the time to put the potion in their bag, and discard another item, but it's impossible for them to drink it? The worst flaw in the day was the fact that whenever you backtracked, you had to switch out discs. This was a problem that was seemingly solved by Square in FFVII 2-3 years earlier. On PS5, it's not as much of an issue, though you still see a screen that says, "Please insert disc X", followed by another loading screen. Final verdict? It's OK. I liked it about as much as FFXV. The highs of the later title were higher, but Legend of Dragoon is only 30 hours long. I miss JRPGs like that. Back in 2000 or so, this game was at the back of the line. There were so many great JRPGs on the PS1. But in 2023? It has something to offer, despite aging poorly. I give it a C+.
Popular Post Parker
#24 Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered Be Greater - Collect all Trophies I forgot how fun this game is. The platinum is by no means difficult, but it is a blast the whole way through. I plan on playing the DLC, a New Game + run on Ultimate difficulty for the 100%, then I think I'll play Miles Morales and hopefully get the platinum for that game, too.
