[22.93% UNCOMMON] Difficulty: 3.5/10 Enjoyment: 4/10 Worst game from Tokyo RPG Factory imo and a big letdown, very repetitive with an awfully boring post game work to do if you want this platinum. The story is meh, the soundtrack is meh, the characters are bland, and everything feels too safe and uninspired. Not recommended ? ...At least, the platinum image looks great.

Popular Post The Alchemist
#668 Detroit: Become Human DETROIT MASTER (13.60%) My backlog purge continues! 4 years, 4 months, and 3 days. That is my final completion time for Detroit: Become Human, the latest game from the dark, deep depths of my backlog. I wish that I could say it's the only multi-year completion on my profile, but the truth is that 4 years barely qualifies as a 'long' completion time by my standards. For instance, by the time I finally get around to my Elite mode playthrough in Killzone Shadow Fall, it will be a full decade-long completion. As I have mentioned in the past, I just have an awful habit of jumping between games, but I'm finally making a serious effort to clean up all of those abandoned games that have been lingering on my profile for years. So... Detroit. I'm not entirely sure what genre you would even class it as. Interactive action-adventure? It's more involved than, say, the average Telltale game, but it doesn't provide as much freedom as a typical action-adventure game would. You will only ever be using a couple of buttons at any given time, and most of the time you'll just be pressing the one. In fact, I'd wager that if you were particularly dexterous with a specific hand, then you could probably play the entire game one-handed. Characters move in basically one direction; forwards. Even the camera is semi-fixed and can be quite restrictive in what it will allow you to see. Normally this would be quite frustrating, but for the most part it tends to work in Detroit. At times the 'gameplay' resembles a point-and-click more than it does a traditional 3D game. However, If you have played any previous Quantic Dream titles, such as Heavy Rain for example, then none of this will be new to you. Detroit, just like Heavy Rain before it, can feel quite clunky at the best of times, and it's something you just learn to live with, I suppose. If the above doesn't sound very appealing to you, then perhaps the story might. Put simply, and without going too much into spoilers, the plot follows three different androids in a near-future version of... Detroit (duh!), at the same time that drastic and unforeseen changes are happening to the android population. You play as each of the three androids throughout the story, with each one having differing motivations and perspectives, although all of their stories are impacted and interlinked by wider events. Ultimately, the story is about self-discovery and what it means to be human, and it raises many interesting points. The writing definitely has its 'David Cage' moments, but for the most part I found the writing to be solid enough, and better than that of Heavy Rain. Many of the themes have been explored many times in the past in other works, but whilst not entirely original, I still found it to be compelling. Now for the trophies, my favourite part! I rate the platinum difficulty 2/10, and time wise it took me around 25 hours to beat. The game is very polished so I didn't encounter any bugs or glitches, which is always a nice bonus. There is virtually no challenge to the game whatsoever. The combat sections amount to QTEs, and although it's possible to miss an input every so often, it's rare, and even if you do miss an input it usually doesn't matter anyway. It's a very simple platinum that the majority of people should have no issue with. As mentioned, I clocked in at around 25 hours, although it's possible to complete it faster. I did my first playthrough blind, as I always do for this type of game, and that took up the majority of the time spent. I then followed a guide for cleanup, where I did a second shorter playthrough and partially replayed some chapters, which took up the remainder. In conclusion, Detroit is a great game. I found the story to be emotional and compelling, and it raises some interesting and important points. The writing is mostly solid, with just a few eye-rolling and unintentionally humorous moments sprinkled throughout - not bad for David Cage! Visually the game is gorgeous, even next to some of the latest current-gen games, and the score isn't bad either. Overall, I really enjoyed my time with Detroit, and it's another easy recommendation from me.
Popular Post Doctor Completion
Platinum #8: Chained Echoes Platinum Seriously, I'm still laughing about the platinum trophy title. I have to laugh because I felt dragged with boredom through the end game and just wanted to get it over with. Good experience overall, but anyway I've got some thoughts about how the title wrapped up. Check my status update on it later if you want. Happy gaming summer!

Popular Post Rick_Sanchez
Platinum 295 Fun: 6/10 Difficulty: 2/10 Imagine going on with your daily life when a huge earthquake strikes and the next thing you know the city around you is falling apart bit by bit and people around are trying to make sense out of the chaos that's happening. Over the course of a few days you'll come across many people in need of help, people that are down on their luck, scammers, horrible people, and even snobs that think they're above everyone even during a natural event. You as well can choose to help people, scam people out of money, threaten people, and ignore their pleads of help. Almost every trophy aside from story trophies are missable because you need to have knowledge on who to talk to, who to scam for money to purchase things needed for an event later on, or where to go for different things such as a bag or compass. While you may be tempted to play without a guide, please know I do recommend following a guide to not miss any trophies as some needs you to make split saves near the end to get different endings or trigger certain events needed for a trophy.
Popular Post PotrikBerger
Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin (PS4) Anticipation - 4/5 Very high. Huge Soulsborne fan, huge From Soft fan albeit I joined late to the party. Purists will be uncomfortable with the order in which I’ve played the games maybe but this is how they’ve naturally came to me I guess. Bloodborne was the first and this will be now be the last...a little sad that I have no more Soulsborne games stored in my back pocket, up to now I’ve always had one or two behind the glass to break in emergencies so that comfort blanket has gone. Enjoyment - 4/5 Id heard a lot of trash talk about this game over the years but I’ve played enough of these games now to know that you never really know for sure until you play yourself. With this one I generally found myself thinking most of the time, why does this get nowhere near the love of the others? Yet another one in the series that is infinitely more interesting and more engaging than sekiro for example, yet sekiro is the game that seems to get all the acclaim and for my money it’s far and away the least engaging and most boring From Soft game I’ve played. Still that’s another review for another day. I think the one area I did notice a significant drop off from the other games were the bosses. There was no Malenia inducing madness here or blood starved beast frustrations, rather every boss seemed kinda slow and laboured. As I’m writing this I can’t think of a single boss who had any real gravitas or provoked any raised heartbeats and that is a little sad. The fluidity in boss fights I’ve seen in the more recent games are much grander, much harder and this was the only real area of the game I felt it let itself down in regards to high standards set in other entries. Still, I really enjoyed this game. You can tell because I played it two and half times for the plat and I despise playing something more than once as a usual rule of thumb, and this requirement for some games I’ve played has killed many plats for me before because I just have no interest in replaying. But I didn’t HATE doing it for this game. Yes, by the third playthrough I wanted it to end, but still, it’s unusual to keep me engaged for that long. This isn’t a bad game, maybe not as challenging as the others maybe I’d even go as far as to say it’s the easiest of the From Soft games I’ve played but then again that’s could be just as much to with it being the last game I’ve played from From Softwares back catalogue, may have felt different if it was the first. But this isn’t bad. The level design is still great, the enemies are still interesting, the invading mechanics are still awesome and the wealth of available weapons is probably the one thing that makes the replays palletable. Overall I feel this gets far too much hate. It’s a good game and I feel it’s one most people could enjoy. Retrospect - 2/5 Maybe over time I can start to see why this falls down the From Soft list. As you start to compare against the others you’ve played you see this one doesn’t have the bosses, doesn’t have as good as music as the others, doesn’t have as rich environments and not as fluid to control....it just doesn’t match up as well in a direct comparison. This still doesn’t make it a bad game, it’s just maybe not as good as some of the masterpieces that From Soft have pulled together since, but as a stand alone it’s a strong game. The plat was ok, it really didn’t need to make you play it three times, that was overkill, but it’s nowhere near as grindy as say DS3 so that was a welcome relief. If you’ve put this one off for whatever reason I’d urge to take the chance, I doubt you’ll regret it. Popular Post Swotam
#202 - The Light in the Darkness (PS5) The Light in the Darkness 86% Common I heard about this game from another forum member recently and decided to check it out. It's a free, educational title released recently on PS5 that tells the story of a Jewish family living in Paris during World War II, and follows their unfortunate journey as they become victims of bigotry, hatred, and ultimately the Holocaust. The game was developed by Voices of the Forgotten with the goal of improving education and understanding about the holocaust, and it's worth playing despite the grim tone since it's worth remembering the past and learning from it. The trophies are all story-related so there's nothing to distract you from playing the game and perhaps learning a thing or two while you do so. The game itself is about 90 minutes including credits so it doesn't ask for a lot of your time, but definitely has a lot to say.
Popular Post lucask001
Platinums #404 & #405 HUMANITY ! I recommend this game very much, it reminded me of my childhood with the famous Lemmings. Humanity goes even further than its grandfather, it even tells a story, which is quite sensational for a puzzle game! The levels are very well constructed and above all the progression in difficulty is perfectly mastered. Thanks again the extra PS Plus, it's getting really interesting

Popular Post Blitz
#249 - Final Fantasy VII This is actually the first FF game I ever played. All my life I'm watching them come out one by one, people writing thousands of posts about them on different forums, but I was never interested, always felt some kind of (unjustified) distance from it. If Sony didn't include it in ps extra catalogue I would probably still remain FF virgin. I'm glad they did. I'm amazed, especially story wise. Can't wait for my next FF game. This came as a breath of fresh air. Edited May 30, 2023 by Blitz
Popular Post RadiantFlamberge
#29 Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana (PS5) Difficulty: 7 Time: 7 Enjoyment: 10 Ys VIII improves on the PS4 original in not just performance, but also tweaks the graphics. Some features found on the PC version are added. You'll see improved shadows, NO pop-in, and 60 FPS at 4K with no dips. 120 is possible if you're willing to settle for 1080p. Load times are barely there (that said, they aren't too long on PS4 either). Thanks to the PS5's SSD, the HQ textures don't increase load times. All the DLC is included. There are some missable trophies. Be careful to get the optional quests before advancing the story so you don't miss them. It's possible to miss some of the People Journal entries, and also chances to raise a castaway's approval. You also need to have carried one of every item. One of the gift items will require getting A-rank on a certain raid later in the game. And there is a challenging secret boss you find later on that drops a unique item after it's defeated. Some of your friends will give you an item after you max their approval. NG+ carries over several things, but not your treasure or item collection. If you're confident enough to go straight to Nightmare, you could finish this with 1 playthrough. Adol's reputation needs to be 200 or better for the canon ending. Much of it comes from clearing quests, with some from the max approval events. Higher ranks on Raids and Hunts will help.
Popular Post MrGarland
Platinum #154 Zone of the Enders HD Edition Difficulty: 5/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 Hideo Kojima is mainly known from the Metal Gear series, as well as Death Stranding, but he has his share of other games. Policenauts is one of them, but he also created something that can be considered as long forgotten: Zone of the Enders, a game that was originally released for the PS2 (which also included the demo of Metal Gear Solid 2), but it was re-released as a part of Zone of the Enders HD Collection. Back then, I had tried the Metal Gear games for the first time, so when I read that the ZoE games are from Hideo Kojima as well, I got interested and I was actually planning to try the ZoE series as well. However, there were two things that prevented me from buying the HD Collection back then. One, I was in high school around that time and studying in a different city which meant that I was only able to play on weekends. In case you're asking, no. I couldn't take my PS3 with me, for reasons. Two, being a student, my budget was rather limited back then, so I had to think wisely how I'd spend that. As a result, I chose to pass on the HD Collection, and I had pretty much forgotten it for a long time. Several years later, I managed to rediscover this series, although in a rather unusual way. While I was out shopping and looking for new games, I happened to see the PS4 version of the sequel which got me intrigued. Seeing that made me remember how I planned to buy the HD Collection all those years ago and with my finance being much better, I decided to resume that plan and finally buy it. I also bought the PS4 version of the sequel, because why not. After all, if it wasn't for that, I don't know if I hadn't played them at all. Having played it for the first time, what can be said about the game? Given its short length, there's not much to say, but I might as well say a few things about it. The gameplay works and the soundtrack is pleasant to listen to. Not only that, but when I heard one of the songs in the game, it made me feel nostalgic since the last time I heard it was in a Gmod video many years ago, but I didn't know where it was from. It's nice to get surprises like this. As for the things I didn't like, I have a few complaints. The camera is rather annoying since you can't control it that much which becomes a problem in some of the rescue missions. Even if you do, it moves rather slowly. I also don't like how cryptic the game was on a few occasions. There are times where you have to go to location X to find thing Y, but the game doesn't tell where exactly you're supposed to go. Because of that, I was forced to watch walkthrough videos, in order to progress in the game. Also, some of the cutscenes look atrocious. I know the game's from the early 2000's, but they could've at least tried to make them look better. Other than that, it's a solid game. The sequel, though. Platinums #155 & #156 Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner HD Edition + Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner M∀RS Difficulty: 5/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 Then we have the sequel. If there's anything I have to say about it, I'll say it now. This is how you make a sequel! In fact, it's a big improvement from the prequel, in terms of everything. The combat is much better, there's more variety of different enemies and it actually offers a good challenge, even when you play on Easy. Not only that, but the game looks great and the cutscenes are done in an anime-style, which made experiencing the sequel even better. As someone who enjoys watching anime, that feature is a definite plus. It even has a few secrets, like the secret boss that can be fought shortly after the start, even though it's only possible in NG+. As much as I enjoyed this, there were a couple of things I didn't like. The main problem I have is ADA. Every time you defeat an enemy or pick a recovery item, she has to comment about them all the time. Since you can't mute the voices from the options, you're either forced to listen to them or listen to something else while playing. Another thing that I found rather annoying is the camera. Even though you can now control it, there were a couple of times that was rather a nuisance. The third battle against Viola AI is a good example, considering how limited the battle area is. Combine it with the fact that she moves fast, as well that the lock-on disappears whenever she moves too far but doesn't lock-on back automatically and you know how annoying it can be. Also, screw that boss battle. Speaking of lock-on, while I appreciate that it's automatic when entering combat, it didn't do me favors at times. There were a couple of times where I wanted to avoid enemies and move onward, but instead, I have to remove the lock-on by myself. It was also annoying in the mission where you have to defeat a ton of enemies, while having to protect as many allies as possible. Sometimes, when I was supposed to attack an enemy, I ended up hitting an ally instead. As for the PS4 version, there's not much to say. It looks better and it has much faster load/save times. It does add something new to the game, like the Very Easy difficulty and the VR support. It even mentions how you can give positive/negative responses by pressing /, which the HD Collection didn't explain. The part at the beginning where one of Dingo's allies asks if he's free after the operation is a good example. If you reply positively, he replies by saying "OK." The tone he says it is amusing. Overall, the sequel was better than I expected. Sure, it's more linear, but that's how I liked it. Not to mention, the cutscenes were pleasant to watch, though I found lip synch in the "Codec" scenes a bit silly, since they move much faster than normal. It's also a shame that's there's not going to be sequel, due to the issues they had with the HD Collection. Platinums #157 (PS4) and #158 (PS5) Marfusha Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 A short game that I decided to do as a bonus. How I discovered this was rather unusual. Instead of finding it from the PS Store, it came to my attention after seeing the trophy guide. Once I saw the name of the game, I couldn't resist, even if the game itself wasn't anything too special. If anything, it's kind of repetitive, but it still offers a decent amount of challenge. Not to mention, I can't think of any other game where getting a game over gives payments, no matter how many times you lose, which is kind of cool. It certainly made the Loner playthrough much easier, even if some parts required a lot of luck in that playthrough. Also, here's a little tip. Use the sub-machine gun. This is for one reason. Its rate of fire is great. Not only that, but if you buy the correct stat cards, as well as recruit an ally with the same weapon, you'll be practically invincible. Assault rifle is another good choice. Other than that, I don't have much to say about this one. If anything, it was good practice for my next game which you can see in a moment. Next project: Not much left before I can finally start Atelier Ryza 3. In fact, I'm planning to clear two more games before it's time to relax. I'll only reveal one of them, as I'd like to keep the other one secret. All I will say about it, my patience is going to be tested again. I have no idea why I'm doing it again, other than seeking satisfaction, as well as the fact that it has something to do with the upcoming game released this June. You can probably guess what game it is. As for the one I'm going to reveal, what I'm planning to play next is something that I was going to try later, but after some thinking, I decided to do it now. For this occasion, I've decided to jump into the Soulsborne territory, in order to experience: Spoiler It's been a long time since I've tried anything that can be considered a Souls-like game, so this'll be a good change of pace. Code Vein was good, despite some issues I had with it, but what about this one? I have my expectations. Hee hee, this should be interesting. Popular Post Moridin83
#268 Terror of Hemasaurus Oh man, this is just a flat out fun little title. It takes its gameplay cues from classic Rampage games, and adds a tongue in cheek story that doesn't overstay its welcome. Gameplay is simple, straightforward, and all around enjoyable. No missables, minimal extra grind, and only one trophy that may require some practice (juggle 1 person for 10 kicks). I had a smile on my face almost the whole time I tromped through cities destroying buildings, and swatting anyone or anything that had the bad luck to get in my way. Retro pixel graphics aren't always my thing but they work well here. I'd recommend this anyway, but it's on the current PSN sale, which just sweetens the deal. At only 98 owners on PSNP, this is criminally overlooked. Definitely give it a shot.

Popular Post TheHarlex322
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2. This was 2 years ago as I am getting back into gaming again. I've loved the Tony Hawk series since I was a kid, and this game delivered on so many levels. This platinum though? It kicked my ass. The grind (no pun intended) was unreal getting to level 100 as XP was capped at such a low number per session, and the "get there" challenges were absolutely brutal and I'm a seasoned veteran of the series where I have beaten all of the games up to American Wasteland, and I've beaten THUG 1 - American Wasteland on Sick difficulty! It's a very rewarding platinum though!

I'm planning to start Yakuza Kiwami today with my partner, as she recently finished Yakuza 0 on her profile. The game is definitely unpolished and the engine causes some terrifically outlandish scenes with mopeds flying through the air and entire rooms exploding when you enter them, but the story itself was fantastic and the side content abundant and enjoyable. I'm hoping to work my way through all of the Yakuza games both mainline and spin-offs (yes, even Dead Souls!). Popular Post mr_enigma26
Splatterhouse Difficulty: 3/10 Time: About 15-20 hours Enjoyment: 7/10 The PS3 still has a plethora of games that have never been ported, remastered, or remade onto the PS4/PS5 though it seems that list is getting shorter and shorter as the years pass with streaming and franchises getting remade like Metal Gear Solid 3. For a game like Splatterhouse it for sure will forever be stuck on the PS3. Its no longer available on the PS Store and given its reception back in the day no company is going to invest to remake it. However, if your lucky enough to find a copy and for a decent price if your a collector I would say try to pick one up. The Good: In terms of gameplay if you have played the old God of Wars, Dante's inferno, X-men Origins Wolverine and etc you will be right at home. You have your light and heavy attacks with your QTE finishers. Quick note the grab attack is so OP as you get invincibility frames and the upgrade to have your roll also invincible makes your Brutal playthrough much more manageable. The story is very simple but the highlight is the Terror Mask voice actor. That alone had me entertained and you can tell the VA was having a lot of fun in the role. The Not so Good: So if you ever read Polygon's article about the development of this game you will know that the development was a complete Sh!t show and the fact it even came out is a small miracle. The game struggles with its frame rate when its loading multiple enemies, you can get stun locked by enemies, graphically sometimes it looks janky, and the game is very linear. So from a technical standpoint if these points bother you, you may have a hard time adjusted to these deficiencies. Only part of the game I had frustrations with were the side scrolling parts. Your character has like zero momentum when jumping forward, the hitboxes on the death traps can be all over the place giving you some cheap deaths. Overall though, besides these faults I still had fun with the game. The game doesnt take itself seriously with crude jokes and over the top violence. Game doesnt outstay its welcome and you can get the platinum in under 20 hours. The Platinum trophy guide is great with its tips in how to beat Brutal difficulty.

The story was nice and new characters were cool as well, though I missed the crude T-rated humor of the PS2 era. The gameplay is satisfying as ever as the gun selection here is neat and planets were fun to explore. Things could've used more enemy variety as you'll fight the same goons and mini-bosses, which got boring by the end. The visuals were excellent and it ran really well on performance mode. All in all, it's one of my favorites in the series. Edited May 31, 2023 by NullRay85

Popular Post Mr_Fluffy_Pants_
146 & 147 - Thunderflash Ps4 & Ps5 Kind of like a shoot ‘em up where the character is running, similar to commando, gun smoke or mamoruken curse. Nowhere near as difficult as those games though, in fact I’d say it’s the easiest shoot ‘em up platinum I’ve ever heard of. Yes it’s ratailika so easy is kind of expected I guess, but I must say this is probably my second favourite game I’ve played by them after guard duty. Really reminds you of the old 16-bit days with the graphics and the muffled voices in the sound effects when you pick up a power up . Great game for someone like me who likes shoot ‘em ups, but isn’t usually skilled enough to platinum any of them.
