Popular Post Juzota
#174 - Pinball Heroes Pinball Wizard! Unlock all trophies in Pinball Heroes. I finally got the PS+ Premium subscription and this game happened to be the first I played. I never owned a PSP so it's nice to be able to play some of its games. Pinball Heroes is pretty basic pinball game with really easy trophy list. Thanks to the rewind option this Platinum is doable for most people, including me. There are only 8 levels and out of those, the Uncharted one was my favorite mainly because I'm most familiar with that game. Popular Post Charizarzar
#182 Death Stranding Greatest of Great Deliverers Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Finally, after almost 5 months I can hang up my chiral boots! I had about a month's break not long after starting as I couldn't get into it and was getting frustrated with the opening area - which I hadn't realised at the time was most likely intentionally scaled in tedium and difficulty. The lowlight was making the arduous trek to the Wind Farm, where the forest you have to go through to reach it is crammed full of the game's main enemies, BTs, and taking as much as I possibly could with me on the return journey since it had been such an effort to get there. Sam goes at an absolute snail's pace when overloaded with cargo, and by the time I was halfway to safety, my stamina bar had depleted to the point where I had to keep stopping to rest/sleep every 10 steps, so it took forever to get out of there. Thankfully once you start unlocking things like skeletons, long-range trucks, and floating carriers, it gets a whole lot easier to carry things and balance yourself. But things really picked up in the Central Region once I'd gotten more used to the game and travel started getting easier. I actually never got bored while walking to a destination and didn't even feel the need to play music/listen to audiobooks almost the whole time despite there being very little action during the non-story moments - though I do have a negative about that. Also found the characters extremely memorable, especially Guillermo del Toro's Deadman (albeit not voiced by him, just his likeness used), and thought the complaints about the story being confusing to be a bit exaggerated, though I admit I wasn't quite following what was going on with Amelie's character (and seriously, Amelie, high heels on the beach? What are you, Clare from Jurassic World?). Do kind of regret not just paying £5 extra for the Director's Cut, which apparently would've been a bit easier as it allows you to take floating carriers with you on ziplines, but I had no major issues on PS4 and it doesn't seem like I drastically missed out on anything. Negatives: I did like having to work for things that you'd otherwise take for granted in other games, but the journey to platinum was too grindy for my liking. I think if getting to Level 60 in all delivery categories had been shaved to 50, or if the timed ones weren't so tricky without roads or ziplines, it would've been a lot more enjoyable. The soundtrack in this game is so good, yet it was a design feature to only allow it to be played in-game during specific story moments when you reach a new area for the first time or when you're in one of your private rooms. Spotify is blocked if you try to listen to something while playing, which I eventually wanted to do once I was in the last leg of the grind and just building up a zipline network and getting the 50-odd collectibles. I understand why it's kept minimal, but still feel player choice shouldn't be prohibited like that. Appreciated the option for your vehicle to jump, which helped in about 90% of sticky situations when you get stuck in a rock, though they handle horribly in snow. Which makes sense, but I think there should've been an option for snow vehicles. This also sucked because so-called "chilled deliveries" take damage while you're on foot, even when you have no thermal equipment, so you're forced to risk them taking damage in the truck. The story was going so well until the super expositiony waffle near the end. Still enjoyed it, but while I'd spent most of the game eagerly awaiting the next cutscene to see how the story would develop, I'd started to get tired of the dialogue. ----------------------------------- I actually did end up liking this more than any Metal Gear I've played though, and can't wait to see what DS2 has in store. Hoping that Fragile has an even bigger part and possibly that we get to play as her as well as Sam.
Popular Post HDP_Reap
#21: LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga (PS5) Platinum in 4 Months, 2 Weeks Rarity: 14.89%, Rare Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 6/10 I had been waiting for a Lego Star Wars game like this my entire life, and when I picked it up and played it for the first time, I must say I was impressed beyond my belief. I enjoyed playing through the story, although me and my completionist brain distracted me from completing it for a while. After I eventually did complete the story, that’s where the enjoyment factor went down a little. It was still fun to run around the galaxy exploring and collecting things, but the sheer amount of what I had to do to obtain the platinum wasn’t hard, just tedious. It was a lot of back and forth stuff which became quite old after a while, and I eventually got tired of it near the end, and when I got the platinum, I closed the game as I don’t see myself playing it again. Otherwise, still the best Lego Star Wars game to date.
Popular Post Valzentia
#171 - Barbie and Her Sisters Puppy Rescue (NA) Difficulty: No/10 Fun: Dogs/10 I have no idea why I do this to myself, but it wasn't all bad simply because it gave me the urge to go see my dogs (who live with my father because the landlord sucks). The game itself is just a dog rescue simulator with the Barbie IP slapped on it, and I mostly played this both for the easy plat and also in honor of the incoming Barbie movie (I figured it would fit). Woof.
Popular Post RebelsHeart
Platinum #118 - Lake Difficulty: 2/10 Fun: 6/10 It's a fun and enjoyable story. It sadly does get repetitive in the end and it feels quite slow. But I enjoyed it lots nonetheless.
GodKaio-Ken
Game: Lost Ruins Trophy Name: The Conqueror Of Ruins PSNP Rarity As Of Posting: 16.81% Thoughts: I actually hated this game at first. Thought it was clunky abd weird and quit after one trophy. Told myself I'd clear some other games and come back. Pretty glad I did, one I started understanding equipment and how to approach enemies better the game became a lot of fun and one I'd recommend.
Popular Post Kishnabe
Platinum #582:SF x Tekken (Vita) Thankfully, had a friend to help with the ad-hoc trophy. The mission trophy held me back from completing it. I was content at it being 80% or so completed. When I saw same friend got the platinum, motivated to try and push through mission mode. My fingers get blisters when playing fighting games, not really good with combinations. Thankfully this version of SF x Tekken is more lenient than PS3. Popular Post Taruta13
Platinum #196: Heirs of the Kings (PS5) Did this title for Kill Your Completion 2023 and FINALLY got the rest of the trophies. I had some experience by playing the PS4 version(since it was still May and the event was still on) but that did not prepare me for the massive arena grind I needed to stand a chance against Lucifer the superboss. KEMCO is the Zayxm of RPGs and it shows. Heirs of the Kingdom wasn't as predatory as Ambition Record, but the grind for ability and HP seeds was frustrating. Also, there is no fast-forward so you have to read every dialogue box which is painfully slow. I'm not faulting the game as bad; it had a great story like all EXE-Create titles(otherwise Asdivine would be a meme), but the lack of text skip was painfully obvious and ruined the experience. I did like the god statues with their humorous dialogue but that's about it. Don't make this your first EXE-Create platinum. Heck, even Ambition Record is better, and that game is predatory. (I mean, come on, why lock two jobs behind the in-game roulette shop? ?) There are better options like Asdivine Cross/Saga and Bonds of the Skies. Popular Post SoapMacTavish222
#505 Dead Island 2 on PS5 WHO DO YOU VOODOO?! I very much enjoyed this game. It definitely got repetitive at times and the Ninja challenge was super annoying but overall a pretty solid sequel. Was hoping for a few more characters from Dead Island 1 and Riptide to make an appearance but it was still good. Popular Post HansPatat050
#89 Back 4 Blood Enjoyment: 8/10 Zombie shooter and playstyle variance lovers, you'll like this game. Once you get the hang of the deck building element and how the cards work the game opens up tremendously. It enables the player to have a lot of different playstyles, so you can adapt to what works best for you. I finished all nightmare acts solo with bots. The bots have laserbeam aim and in some occassions they are extremely useful. If you ping an enemy the bots will have clear focus on the ping. In other parts of the game, espacially against bosses, the bots are pretty useless, so here is where your card deck needs to be robust. I finished most of the chapters with a melee build, but ran into trouble when melee was not cutting it and speed/damage was required. As the game adds corruption cards to each chapter, you're exposed to an RNG element which can lead to failing a run because your deck is not strong enough anymore. For example, I had a slow paced melee deck going into the final chapter of act 3 (The Body Dump). The corruption cards led to zombies leaving an acid pool when they were killed and specials who could hit me from far. The melee deck was completely useless against these cards. At first it can be a bit frustrating, but once you get the hang of the cards and what works for you it will be a nice challenge of mixing cards which match your playstyle and which can counter different corruption cards. I had quite a few "holy shit I'm fcked now" moments. I played the game both multiplayer and solo. Being able to get a group together who all have their unique card builds and playstyle works great and can lead to some very nice gameplay. Upon finishing the 4 basegame acts I had approx. 20,000 ridden kills. I did the grind to kill 53,600 ridden in two ways: by AFK'ing in a safe room with razorwires in act 1: The Crossing (5,000 kills per hour), and to lock up my bot teammates in the safe room in act 3: the road to hell, while I melee'd all the infinite horde riddens in the final part of the chapter. Difficulty: 7/10 When I started I directly jumped in a few multiplayer sessions with zero knowledge of the card decks. I got competely destroyed. Once the cards started to make sense it became a lot more fun, but still challenging. There may be a few 'overpowered' decks, but only as long as the corruption cards do not mess you up. The Nightmare difficulty is way harder than recruit or veteran, but not undoable. I tried no hope difficulty but I liked my backlog more than the challenge to get act 5 and act 6 out of the way. If I got stuck it was trial and error with other card decks. The game can be completely finished solo with bots. Time: 55-60 hours
Popular Post Leon Castle
#247 Resident Evil 2 4th Jun 2023 Remake of the RE2 that came out in 1998. Might be due to it not being the Classic Tank Controls of the OG but it sure felt more fun to play and easy compared to RE0. Popular Post Moridin83
#269 Touhou Genso Wanderer This was never an easy platinum, but in 2023, it's insane. Huge thanks to @Shadiochao for the spreadsheet for mixing/alchemy/etc. Without that, I can't imagine completing the game. Most of the original Japanese version resources appear to be offline, info on important features is poorly explained in-game, and horribly mixed in with info for Reloaded online, so even figuring out how you're supposed to be building out your gear is difficult. In terms of actual gameplay, this is a Mystery Dungeon/Shiren type of Roguelike/Roguelite (It actually varies based on the dungeon) with some distinct Touhou flair in the Danmaku and Spellcards. If that's not your cup of tea, stay far away. The story, especially character interactions will not mean much to anyone unfamiliar with the Touhou characters. You can restart from the beginning of any floor by closing and reloading the game, which makes it easier (?) than other roguelikes, but you'll need to do so, as the game has so, so, so many ways it can screw you. Also, game balance at the higher levels is unfortunately poor. It's not about how much damage enemies can do, although that sucks too in skin diving dungeons. It's about the flat out unfair ability radius of many enemy types in their "Big"(final) form. It's not unusual to walk into a situation you have no control over, and be hit by enemy special attacks from 2+ rooms away, when you have no way of damaging them, or even knowing exactly where the attacks are coming from. This can happen multiple (sometimes upwards of 4) times for each space you move. It's incredibly frustrating, even when they don't hurt enough to be a threat. The plat also contains so much grinding that doesn't help you progress, or feel rewarding in any way. Leveling items just to make other Alchemy ones will typically see you replaying the same 20 floors of a particular dungeon over and over. The effort needed to make all the alchemy recipes is pure pain, with no appreciable benefit in 80% of the results. You need to do all this, but don't even need to beat all the dungeons, which is certainly a choice. I may have tried more dungeons, but with Reloaded out there, I don't want to prolong my pain here. Nonetheless, as a Touhou fan, in retrospect, I'm glad (maybe?) that I played this. Eventually I'll play the Reloaded version, which I hear is much better. If you're not a huge Touhou fan and a huge masochist though, skip this, and maybe try Reloaded.

It really isn't much different from All-Star Battle R so I was able to pick this one up rather fast and plow through it. If you like JoJo, fighting games, or both, you'll probably love this. Not the greatest fighting game ever, but it's fun even though there's not much content within.
Popular Post RebelsHeart
Platinum #119 - Uncharted: Drake's Fortune Uncharted is one of my favorite game series and it feels like a crime to leave them at 30% So it's finally time to change that! I had so much fun going back to this game again. Though crushing pissed me off at times. The controls feel so clunky and I would die to the simplest jumps some times. That aside, I'm glad it's done now. I won't be going for the DLC trophies though, screw those. fun: 7/10 difficulty 4/10

Popular Post DrunkenEngineer
Platinum #45 + DLC 100% - Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus (May 30, 2023) Trophy Statistics The Good Solid, no frills shooter Linear levels with amazing attention to detail You get to kill Nazis "Mein Leben" is an utter thrill The Bad In-engine, unskippable cutscenes that become excruciating to sit through for the billionth time when running "Mein Leben" Collectibles can be rather irritating and there are a lot of them "Ghost" trophy is buggy - pick a district you like (Roswell) and ghost it the first time through How can I put in to words the experience that is Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus? On the surface it's a pretty standard linear, single player, story driven FPS with all the world building environments and gun blasting that I tend to gush over. But if you really want to experience the Five Stages of Grief in a compressed window of time, look no further than "Mein Leben", the infamous permadeath, no saves, highest difficulty level trophy. Denial: "That didn't happen, holy...wow...am I really at the menu screen? No way, I didn't fail a run right after the last boss fight...all I had left was to face Frau Engel." Anger: "You goddamn stupid piece of shit how could not see that mother fucking grunt that was watching right there! Look, rewind the recording....HE'S RIGHT THERE!!" Bargaining: "Argh...if only I hadn't bungled that, all I needed to do was slow down and take greater care and I'd have this trophy!" Depression: "This is never happening...what is wrong with me? Why am I doing this to myself?" Acceptance: "It's a new day, I can persevere. This won't get the better of me." And even if one doesn't want to subject themselves to the sadomasochism that is the Platinum trophy, what's here is absolutely worth experiencing. Amazing set pieces, very cool (if obnoxious to track) collectibles with lots of backstory, some heartfelt acting and dialog, and of course...blasting Nazis. Come for the harrowing trophy journey and feather in the cap, but stay for the honest to goodness, actual fantastic video game.
