Popular Post Toxi
#87 Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIIIEternal LightProof of a true master who has excelled in all things and has collected all possible trophies. I don't play many role playing games, I find the gameplay is often lacking and fetch quests don't excite me, so I tend to only play ones which I know will have a solid story. The only series' which I've played in the last few years are Final Fantasy and Persona, and I'm a fan of both. I was looking forward to this after enjoying FFXIII & XIII-2 but was left very disappointed. The story is "much ado about nothing." I skipped most of the sub quest dialogue which was very long at times and just not interesting at all. Of course I watched all the main story scenes, hoping it would improve, it didn't. I had next to no interest in anything story-wise that by the time my favourite characters from XIII showed up it was too little, too late. Another small issue I have is with the graphics, it just looks muddy, with the locations being very bland, strange how the graphics in this series somehow have gotten worse with each passing game. As for any positives, the Battle System has been slightly tweaked for the better. Also the lack of earning XP from battles meant no level grinding, which was a huge positive for me. Overall I can't recommend this to fans, even if you enjoyed the previous game. Edited August 19, 2014 by ToxiKirby

Popular Post TheIncinerator1
DEAD NATION (PS3) So, I actually wasn't expecting to get this over the weekend, but real big thanks to UndreyVita and the two gaming sessions we did for both Grim and Morbid difficulties, it was really fun, especially the final push on Chapter 10.Dead Nation at this point is another one of those games where if most people have a PS3 (or now even a Vita or PS4) by now they've probably played the game, at least gotten wind of it some how, or got it for free wayback if they are/were a Ps Plus user, but if not...Dead Nation is a neat little top down dual stick shooter, kinda like Smash TV but with zombies and more open space. The campaign has 10 chapters to play through, with each becoming progressively more challenging than the next by adding more powerful enemies or throwing entire zombie hordes at you. It's a game of weapon and resource management and reflex skills, of course you could go gung-ho and buy every gun available, but upgrading certain ones might prove to be a bit more beneficial.I took a while with this game because honestly, while fun, playing it all on single player got kind of boring for me sometimes, and the buddies I did play with a while back on my old account aren't exactly playing the game anymore, so I would just play the game in spurts every now and then. The multiplayer however is where this game shines, playing with someone else is MUCH more fun, bonus points if both players are really good and coordinated. If you haven't played DN on any of the Sony platforms available by now, I definitely recommend you give it a go. Play DN with a friend if you can, online, on the couch, wherever. Co-op that shit.
Popular Post vampiresarego
#27 - The Wolf Among Us (PS3) Full Moon 7 months, 2 days, 22 hours I love these Telltale Games!! This one had a very intriguing story, and not ever have read the comics, I didn't come into the game with preconceived notions. So far with the Walking Dead, and now The Wolf Among Us series, Telltale is really hitting it out of the park. BIGBY!!!

Popular Post Meacham
Haven't posted in here in a while so I won't post everything I've accomplished since my last post but I will post what I achieved recently. For those of you who are interested I did make a trophy checklist which can be found in my signature under my card. That shows all of the platinums I have achieved up to date and how I felt about them. Again don't bother yourself if you're not interested just to those who would like to see my opinions on games. #56 - Watch Dogs (PS4) | Enjoyment: 8/10 | Difficulty: 3/10 | 18/8/14 | 100% | Very Rare 9.37% | Recommendable | Was on the fence of buying this one when it first came out and never got round to it so I decided to rent it instead. It's a good game indeed but it's short in my opinion. It wasn't an amazing edge of the seat experience but it was pretty decent, plot was predictable. I called who called the hit from the beginning well when they were introduced into the game. I think the whole idea of the game is smart, that you were able to hack everything and see what people got up to. There were definitely more side quests than single player missions. I mean I spent a day on the story and a couple of days on side quests and it didn't even look like I had done much to be honest. A lot of people had hard luck with the online portion of the game but there were no problems on my end, I was able to hack people effeciently and kill whoever I needed to. The only problem I really had with the game is that I barely got tailed, when you go online there is some sort of like counter effect where you will be prone for invasion but you get hacked more than tailed so that took a little bit more time than it should of but the whole online thing had some great ideas. Very basic but they could build on it with future games which I'm sure they will. I think I agree with a lot of other people aswell about Aiden, he wasn't very likable sure he had a reason to be a dick but they could of elaborated on his past and how he became that way etc. I mean you literally get thrown into it with a narrow plot in a big world if that makes any sense. Probably could of done this sooner but my mum was in the hospital so was looking out for my little brother most of the time and family is the priority. I think the hardest thing in this game like many have said is the drinking game. Man did they frustrate me. It's not that they are really hard it's just you barely get any time to do so. It's done though and it's a nice idea of a mini game so I can't complain. Also poker, Ubi love a good game with poker in. Seen it with Far Cry 3, Watch Dogs and I'm sure they could easily add in some of that stuff into Unity. I reckon they should, I'd play it. It's worth a go though people, I rent games now so I'm not going to say it's worth a buy because at the end of the day it's your opinion on whether you should. #57 - Lego Batman 2: DC something or other (Vita) | Enjoyment: 4/10 | Difficulty: 2/10 | 19/8/14 | 100% | Uncommon 30.45% | Recommendable | It's not too bad, not as good as Lego Hobbit but still worth a go. Keep in mind I say that because this is my second Lego game with Lego the hobbit being the first. Which I'm sure I'm bound to say because this is basic compared to that. There wasn't much of a challenge with this one to be honest. Just simply play through a short story and then free play the rest of the collectibles. Pretty simple and a game to relax with and that's what I did. I played this a couple of days ago as I was really ill and I just couldn't concentrate on playing watch dogs so then I went back to that and when I platinumed that I came back to this. I know Lego Batman 3 is confirmed but if you didn't know then this game will have a scene at the end which would indicate as much. I guess there isn't much to say about this. It's your typical Lego game. Just a fun game. Characters were all cool but I think my favourite as I felt he was slightly op was Green Lantern. Maybe the characters they had through minkits will have a part to play in the next game like Green Arrow. Speaking of which wouldn't it be cool if Rocksteady did a Green Arrow game like they did with Batman. That's a completely different topic though so I will leave it there. This was on PS+ so if it's in your backlog and you need to chill out from your previous game being grindy or frustrating etc then give it a go. Popular Post DarknessKey92
Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time #27 "Mask and Stripes Forever "Collect every bronze, silver, and gold trophy. This is My First Ever Sly Game, Honestly wasn't too interested in the series during the PS2 Era. But after this game I've become a Fan, probably later on i'll purchase the Collection. Anyway the game was very good, in the sense that it had you use every member from the gang, including Carmelita & the many Sly Ancestors who each have their own unique ability aside from being from another time era in the Cooper Bloodline. Each of them had a different Charge & (not sure right now if it's the) or move that had you avoiding a seemingly dull moment. My Personal Favorite Ancestor was Tennessee Cooper, because he seamed Calm, pretty funny when he wanted, and his accent seamed pretty okay to me. Not to mention his Gun Slinger Move was very useful for enemies. The game has you take a Stealth over Force approach with enemies, by getting behind them enough to press & follow up with to do in Sly's world a Stealth Kill. Trust me you don't want to go head to head with almost any enemy in this game, because they are agile and very tough in regards to they can take the hits you dish. The Collectibles were a bit hard @ first, but once unlocked the 3rd safe was very easy. The Treasures were also not too hard @ all leaving you with 5 sec to spare. SInce I Spammed the map look up everywhere I went, i had no trouble with the Navigate Like Drake trophy. Not even The Beat The Arcade High Scores were the hardest thing for me, sure I had to replay the 6axis games for a while, but once I got the understanding of which controller motion did what...I went for it @ a decent pace being not to fast, but not too slow either. Honestly the hardest thing I had to do in this game was that fucken Don't miss a beat in the Carmelita dance game. The reason was because it would become annoying having to restart from the beginning after going back to the checkpoint, simply because I couldn't skip the cut scene of them reaching the vault(that was getting me annoyed to the point it would make me nervous to miss a single input, thus missing 1 forcing a restart from start).
Popular Post MrManBuz
#65 Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner Desperately seeking Dingo. Well for starters it was a huge improve over ZoE (Which I still enjoyed too), the choice to use anime for the human segments was a really good idea, really enjoyed that aspect to the game, especially when the first one used cringe-worthy CGI (it was bad even for 2001). The voice acting was a little iffy at times but it didn't really bother me. My only real complaint about the game is that both ZoE2 and the first one were way too short, it's 4 hours MAX and that's with all the cutscenes. As for trophies they were a breeze and damn their titles look awesome. It's a real shame ZoE3 was cancelled, a game like that on the Fox engine would be amazing. Enjoyment 8.5/10 Difficulty 2/10
