Popular Post SirDave1988
#34 - inFamous 2 (PS3) inFAMOUS 2 Platinum Trophy Collect all other inFAMOUS 2 Trophies Overall, I'd say I enjoyed inFamous 2 more than inFamous 1, despite the fact that they are very similar. The biggest improvement I thought over the original were the graphics, it is up there with some of the best-looking games on the 7th generation of consoles as opposed to inFamous 1, which I thought looked like an up-scaled PS2 game in some areas. Gameplay wise, if you liked inFamous 1, you'll like this. If you didn't, I'd stay clear of it. It is 95% the same style of game as the original. The User Generated Levels were a nice touch as well if you like this style of game. Trophy-wise, I found the platinum was easier than the first one due to the ease now of obtaining the Blast Shards, so if you were put off by those Blast Shards in the first one, this platinum might be for you. Popular Post vampiresarego
#31 - The Order: 1886 (PS4) The Grail 6 days, 37 minutes, 25 seconds I know this game has been pretty polarizing on the internet, but I found myself really enjoying this game. Yes, the story is short, but so was Destiny's, and the story is by far superior to that game. Yes, the gunplay is a little lackluster, but it isn't the worse, it was better than Uncharted if you ask me. And this game looks amazing, if this is just the beginning of how games are going to look in the future on this console, I am excited. The platinum is nice and easy, can easily be done in one playthrough, but a little chapter hopping can get you whatever you missed, no problem. I don't know if I would have payed full price for this game if I had the choice, but when this game starts getting discounted, I would definitely recommend it. GALAHAD!!! Popular Post Lilseb93
#8 Grim Fandango Remastered Difficulty: 2/10 with a guide, 7/10 without one This game is a very old school adventure game. Figuring out what to do can be difficult, but if you use a guide this game is pretty easy. It's up to you. Overall, the trophies are all dialogue options. Enjoyment: 9.5/10 This game is a masterpiece. It's just as good as I remember it. It has the old school feel in games that I miss. If you are going for the platinum, you have to play in tank controls which can be a pain. Some of the camera angles are frustrating. The graphics are remastered, but the game still looks dated. The writing and humor is terrific. I love the art style and story for this game. If you didn't play it before, you must play it now!!!! Popular Post Juzota
#25 - Prototype 2 Platinum Trophy Unlock all Trophies. This game was actually really much fun. At the first I didn't get into it, but when you get more and more powers, then the fun part starts. It was just too fun to kill literally anyone that happened to be in way of "Badass" James Heller. Usually I don't like to destroy and kill everything in games, but in this one everyone got smashed. No sympathy for the civilians either. Maybe I'm a bad person but I loved to grab people and throw them around. In this game of course, not in real life ) I haven't played the first Prototype and wouldn't probably play this one either without PS+. But I'm glad that I did play this mainly because it was fun. That's what videogames should be all about. Remember that kids. Difficulty: 3 Enjoyment: 9 Edited March 3, 2015 by Juzota

Popular Post Floriiss
#100: Street Fighter X Tekken Zenith Unlock all Trophies. One hundred platinum trophies! And I dedicate this awesome milestone to Street Fighter X Tekken. This is my first time with the Street Fighter franchise. At first it was very confusing. I had no clue what was going on. So many gems to choose, so many moves you could do. But after a while I got the hang of it. I kept getting better and better and the game was really fun. Fun but also challenging. The most challenging part about this game is without a doubt the 20 Missions. Some were easy, but most were challenging, and some were really hard. For example mission 18 where you have to defeat your opponent without getting hit. Or mission 20 where you have to fight against all the other teams in Street Fighter X Tekken (That's 18 tag teams followed by Akuma and Ogre. So a total of 19 teams) without being defeat. If you're defeated by one of the teams you got to start all over again. Also this game was A LOT of grinding. Especially fighting 500 matches Online, activating Pandora 500 times and connect with 500 Super arts, 500 Cross arts and 500 Cross assaults. (Yes, A LOT of grinding). I'm proud to add this one to my collection. And what way to better celebrate such an epic milestone? Exactly! With an ultra rare ofcourse!
Popular Post edu_gamer
#87 - Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut- PS3 To be honest I didn't expected much from this game when it was announced for the IGC last December, but I saw "Nice game" in the coffe and it never fails, I really liked how the city was "alive" and each character had its own live and routine, even if that pissed me off a little when doing the sidequest, the combat was hardly enjoyable and the QTE's were hilarious, gameplay wise its really one of those that been so bad makes them good , in a humor base at least , in terms of story the game was really enjoyable especially thanks to the silly scenes, the Soundtrack is one of those that's going to stick with me for a very long time ( special mention to "Life is Beautiful"), about the Plat there's nothing much to say really, trophies were either Story-Related or unlocked for completing the each sidequest within the game making it a really easy one to get, which is something that when you realize and then see the low rarity of the Plat( considering that... well you know, every single trophie is either Story related or sidequest related making the Plat pop just for "playing" the game) makes me a bit sad, it's hard to see such great games (in their own ways) get ignore like this, overall a great journey to the Plat and I encourage anyone that has this game on their backlog to give it a try . Popular Post TheIncinerator1
Tales of Xillia 2 Finally, both the Xillia games are over and done with (unless of course they come out with a 3rd for some oddass reason) to give whatever little breathing room there is to the backlog. It's also the fourth "Tales of" game I've fully completed/grinded through, as seen through some of the Most Recent plat posts I've made, I've pretty much almost been going through these games back to back, well at least one remake and a port anyway, with the Xillia's being the only regular releases. I'm definitely planning to hit up the earlier titles, but that's something for another time.Xillia 2 is the sequel to the 2011 release of Xillia 1 (2013 in ol' NA) and it's the 14th entry in the mainline series, though in all honesty doesn't really feel like one, but more on that later. While Xillia 2 improves on a couple of issues I had with the 1st game, it also has a decent amount of new problems that are brought to table from the first couple of hours I began to play all the way to the end of the second playthrough. I'll preface 2 by saying it's by no means a bad entry, in fact so far it's been my favorite to play amongst all four that I've gone through, ESPECIALLY combat-wise, holy shit, but first a small introduction before I kick this off:Xillia 2 takes place a year after the events of the 1st game; both Rieze Maxia and Elympios (2 worlds which barely understood each other or were even aware of each other in the previous game) are trying to bring the nations closer together and play nice with one another which some are all for while others oppose the idea, occasionally causing both conflict and tension. While an important carry over from the 1st, this plays as more of a backdrop to the main story (you'd think it'd be more important). The REAL REAL story is about our new protagonist named Ludger Kresnik, a silent character who will occasionally emote and only respond to characters based on in-game choices (still mute by the way). After failing a test overseen by his brother, Julius, at becoming an agent for Elympios' biggest company around, the Spirius Corporation, Ludger goes back to his everyday life as a pro chef starting a new job at the nearby train station. On his way there he runs into a familiar face from the first game (Jude) who's appearance and demeanor is different than before, basically letting the player know that even though it's been one year, some things have changed quite a lot in the Xillia world. By the time he gets to the station he also by chance comes across a mysterious little girl (Elle), who for the most part almost gets him in some deep shit to get on the train without a ticket. Of course you can't have a Jrpg without someone's life taking a turn for the worst, so obviously trouble comes his way as Elympios extremist terrorists take down civilians both off and aboard the train. Ludger springs into action alongside Jude, as well as now being accompanied by this new girl Elle. From here a hodge podge of events take place, from Ludger's brother Julius being on the train attacking the CEO of Spirius to a sudden odd experience with a sort of alternate reality, all leading to the new formed crew ending up in a train crash. Upon waking up from all this, Ludger and friends (and even his cat) are hospitalized by an shady dude who works for Spirius (Rideaux) who let's him know that he now has to make that paper to pay $20,000,000 gald for all the expenses. From here on the story goes all over the place, meeting up with the original party, travelling with Elle to reach something called the "Land of Canaan", and dealing with different dimensions all the while trying to also pay off this humongous debt you now owe, sweet. Hopefully my little summary of the intro didn't sound too confusing, but man, when I first played the beginning half of the game it was a lot to take in all at once. (This big guy is almost in every cutscene) Now there's a few new game/story mechanics introduced in 2 that Xillia 1 didn't have, most notably are the debt system (which I've yet to hear anyone praise, and for good reason), the new Job board which sort of acts like mini side quests ranging from delivering items to defeating monsters that give you a good amount of money to help you pay off you're debt, and the cat dispatch which has you sending out Ludger's fat cat out to gather other cats and rare items needed to complete some mini side quests (reminded me a lot of the Katz in Symphonia). Out of the new features the only one I thought was alright was the job board as it helps out with paying your debt really quickly as time goes on. The job board also serves as a pretty convienient way to take on side quests from any main location you're at without having to track down someone to give it to you like every other Jrpg does. Of course you can only choose 5 that are available at a time, but it's no big deal. (That beautiful combat) Combat-wise, in terms of linking with partners in your party to perform special moves or your selected party members using their special abilities to aid you in battle, what was presented in Xillia 1 with these hasn't really changed much. BUT, if we're talking about everything Ludger has to bring to the game, there's a couple of new features my boy has that takes it up notch. Ludger is probably one of my favorite characters to play as in the Tales games, I honestly couldn't stop using him for the two runs I had, he was that fun. Unlike other characters who are bound to one weapon, Ludger is able to switch between not one, not two, but THREE weapons on the fly freely from swords to guns to a hammer and back, at any moment in time and flawlessly in mid combo. There's nothing like the air game in Xillia 2, when you get a feel for all of the artes each weapon can perform and hot key the right ones to wail on enemies in a non-stop combo while switching back and forth, you feel like you're breaking the game sometimes. Ludger also brings a new powered up form you get a little later known as the "Chromatus" that even comes with it's very own set of moves. Let's see, weapon switching, styles, and chromatus, this dude might as well be the Dante of the series, no wonder I like this guy. The only real new addition party-wise is the Allium orbs which are an updated version of the Lithium orbs shown in Xillia 1 that increased character skills as you level up. This time around with Allium orbs, instead of gaining skills through leveling up you gain them through collecting items known as Elemental Orbs that are found on the field as well as when you finish a battle. Allium Orbs will not only get your characters new skills, but they'll also buff up character artes making them even more effective against enemies in battle. As always the combat proves to be the best thing about the game, but I think this time it was done really well, waaay better than Xillia 1.Straying away from combat to delve more into the story and characters, oddly enough I actually thought it was pretty good at times albeit slightly on the edgy side occasionally, but it had it's moments, mainly the last couple of chapters which finally kick things into gear. The thing about the story that bogs it down is the pacing really, this is where the debt system comes into play and starts to feel like it's padding a tad. The intro that I described sets things up and takes a bit to get the ball rolling, that I was okay with, however the next few chapters after that can be a real slog to get into. The first portion of the game has you uncovering what's going on little by little while you're reintroduced to the previous games' cast and you keep switching in and out with party members. I'd be okay with this if I were able to play the the story straight through, speeding up a little more for the boring chapters, but after you're done with each chapter your forced to pay a small portion of your debt to make your way to the next area to progress. This can be alright at first, but once you're done with a chapter and things start to get somewhat interesting here comes the game telling you to pay the damn thing. Now you have to make you're way to job board, do a couple of mini quests and earn a specific amount to keep the ball rolling, granted it doesn't take a million years to do a few, but it gets kind of frustrating once you are finally invested in what's going on. Your party members also give a sort of a side quest (episodes) each time you're done, but thankfully these don't impede on game progress and are optional, though they are preferred if you want some bonus scenes and affinity with the cast. Each character has their own episodes which further their relationship with Ludger, and sort of slightly expand a little bit more of the character development they got in the previous games, which brings me to the subject of characters in this game. I like Ludger, I really think he should've been a talkative character, and I ain't talking about just a feature given in the grade shop just having him emote seemed kind of jarring during cutscenes, and some of the dialogue you can have him say seems like it would've been cool just to hear him say it regularly. He seems more like a fun/cool character rather than the typical clueless Shonen character Tales' seem to throw out there, I don't know. Elle was alright too, there's a few moments that make her out to be a bit annoying, but near the last couple of chapters you really grow to like her as a character. The new characters in general seemed pretty cool, but unfortunately either get very little screen time, and when they do we barely get to know them all that much (looking at you Julius). What I think the problem here is the previous cast, don't get me wrong I think some of them are way better here than in Xillia 1 (useless Leia being one of them), but I really feel like the new characters and Ludger's story really should've shown up and been told in a stand alone Tales entry, not a continuation to Xillia. I mean hell, it probably would've helped if it were a stand alone as there's not much to explore in the game with all the re-used environments, but that's a different problem entirely. Of course it might've not been tied to spirits if that were the case and some changes would've had to have been made, but I would've taken that instead. We already know all we need to know about the previous cast from the previous game. It's cool to see that that they've changed and all, but all the character development for them already took place, making them kind've pointless to have around at time, to me anyway. Even new additions to the crew like Gaius and Muzet who were bosses in the 1st still doesn't really add much to the main story, especially Muzet. I can appreciate the Gaius arc of him dealing with relations concerning Rieze Maxia and Elympios, but that whole thing isn't even the main plot of the game. After finishing my second playthrough I just sort of felt they all were just there to be there and nothing more, but hey maybe it's just me. (If only) Lastly, the biggest thing to come out of the game is player choice, I mean it's even on the back of the box, at least the NA one anyway. Choice in this game really only seems to effect character affinity like I said above. There were instances where you'd be timed on a certain dialogue choice to act fast, and even these didn't really effect anything with the story, instead the scene just plays out slightly differently and the story moves on as it normally would. The only time choices seem to make a difference is in the very last chapter which is kind of a downer honestly. It's not the worst thing of course, and honestly I wasn't really complaining about it as I was playing, but it would've been a plus if things worked out as advertised, nah I'm sayin'. In closing to this long ass wall of text as always:TL;DRXillia 2 is a fun game with a decent story and decent new characters, it has it's faults and probably should've been a different Tales entirely, but at the end of the day it also ends up being what the 1st Xillia should've been, a non-rushed game. I'd obviously not recommend it to anyone who hasn't played the first since that one does all the world building, and you'd be lost on who's who, who does what and why. If you have played 1 though, you're in for a way better experience, especially that combat system, man, THAT COMBAT SYSTEM, that alone warrants a buy. What the hell, here's more Rollo: Edited March 3, 2015 by Inc
