Popular Post straysheep87
# 93 - Ether One (PS4) Maybe the worst game of 2015, and one of the worst of all times. I wouldn't play a sequel even it'd have 20 gold trophies.
Popular Post erickt123
#41 - Call of Duty: World at War As the recent Call of Duty installments are gaining some rather large negativity for being major copypastas of their predecessors, the older Call of Duty titles still hold their legacy of being some of the best FPS games out there, especially Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Case in point, one year after the success of Modern Warfare, the Call of Duty franchise released another installment developed by Treyarch, of which instead of going to more to our present time, we're going back to the days of World War II. Unlike every Call of Duty after this game and even before it, World at War didn't glorify war and instead show what tragedies and horrors that soldiers had experienced as World War II progresses. With the introduction out of the way, Call of Duty: World at War probably has one the most straightforward platinum trophies in the entire series, as only three trophies require you to play online co-op, and even then, the said co-op trophies aren't so bad to obtain despite the game's current state of player population. Most the trophies that can earned in the campaign are not so bad in terms of difficulty and they can be done with some time and patience. The two trophies that can offer major trouble to many players are Gunslinger and Sum of All Zeros. With Gunslinger, you have to take out General Amsel with a pistol that can found somewhere in the mission Vendetta. It can take some time and practice to get this trophy, so understanding how the mission goes is key to getting this trophy. The other trophy, Sum of All Zeros, is arguably the hardest miscellaneous trophy in the game as it requires you to take out 45 Japaneses Zeros (planes) in the mission Black Cats. What makes this difficult isn't that you have to take out 45 Japanese Zeros, it's actually trying to take out any Japanese Zeros at all, and there's not a lot of room for error. I had to save and quit multiple times just so that I could memorize the mission and adjust a certain number of Japanese Zeros destroyed just so that I would finish the mission with at least 45 of said Zeros, and it was indeed quite a troubling task. Now time to talk about Veteran, the thing that made people easily remember World at War, and not with so much positivity. As you may all know, World at War is infamous for being one of the most difficult Call of Duty titles you could ever play, even going as far as being one of the hardest games in the 7th generation. As the overall platinum of World at War is less time consuming than say Killzone 2, Veteran has extended playtime to make some missions go on longer than you could imagine, and some missions are infamous enough to go on for many hours. If you thought Killzone 2 Elite was painful enough, World at War makes Killzone 2 look like a tutorial in comparison. What makes World at War difficult is the constant spam of grenades, pinpoint accuracy of the enemies, horrible friendly A.I., rapidly fast enemy respawning, little to no cover in open areas, and spread out checkpoint system that makes you beg for even the first checkpoint to come. The hardest missions I found are to be Burn 'em Out, Relentless, Blowtorch and Corkscrew, Heart of the Reich, and Downfall, especially Heart of the Reich. These missions had everything of what makes World at War such a hard game, and some more agony of their own. Heart of the Reich, it was pure frustration for beginning to end, to see a checkpoint being reached is the most relieving feeling you can ever have in the mission besides completing. To finish Downfall with such an ending is one of the most satisfying accomplishments I had in my years of trophy hunting. To rate the difficulty of Call of Duty World at War, I would give it these ratings: Campaign (Normal): 4/10 (Enjoyable campaign, some moments may have a difficulty spike, though the game is straightforward to complete) Campaign (miscellaneous): 7/10 (Gunslinger and Sum of All Zeros would bring the most trouble, it's overall not so bad) Online Co-Op: 3/10 (With Randoms) or 1/10 (Boosting) Campaign (Veteran): 9/10 (One of the hardest games I have ever played on the PS3, and one of the hardest FPS games I played in general) This is quite the platinum to consider obtaining, after all, I was enough of a masochist to get the platinum of Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified, which is one of the worst games I have ever played and the worst game I have played on the Vita. Popular Post UK-Danny-93
Platinum #37 XCOM Enemy Within 9.62% Very Rare One of the few strategy games we've gotten on console and it works just as well here as it does on PC. Enemy Within is a great stand alone expansion to Enemy Unknown that adds in new missions, maps, enemies, customization options, and tactical options in the form of gene modifications and cybernetic mech suits and new limited use items. These new additions go along way towards alleviating my main issue with the already excellent Enemy Unknown which was a frustration with the too often repeated environments and not enough variation in the gameplay. The gameplay itself for those unfamiliar is a turn based, squad based strategy game. You build your squad of up to 6 soldiers (assault, support, heavy or sniper) from a pool of recruits and equip them with weapons, armour and consumables and take them on missions opposing the alien invaders. Getting kills and completing missions allows you to level up individual soldiers giving them access to class specific and varied skills that introduce an extra layer of strategy to the combat. Research and engineering trees progressively unlock weapons, equipment and consumable options. The turn based combat is defined by chance to hit which is determined by your soldiers stats and skills, proximity, cover and the enemies defenses. The damage you do should you hit is determined by the weapon used, critical hits and some of the skills. The game is fairly challenging, it's entirely possible to play for hours and find yourself in a virtually unwinnable situation or lose an entire squad on a disastrous mission. But it's extremely satisfying when you get it right. From a trophy perspective the toughest trophy is 'An Army of Four' for which you'll need to beat the game on classic difficulty without ever upgrading your squad size from the starting 4 man team. It's much easier than in Enemy Unknown however as there's no need to use the Ironman option which after every turn committing you permanently to your mistakes. Although I do think this is the most fun way to play. Most of the other trophies are fairly straightforward, mostly tasking you with using the new content and beating the new missions. Finding a really good strategy game that works perfectly on console is a rare thing. I had a lot of fun with it and I think it's a *crying shame that XCOM 2 looks like it's going to be PC only reportedly due to poor console sales. Overall I'd give the game a 9/10 for enjoyment, a 3/10 for time needed to complete and a 6/10 for difficulty Edited July 9, 2015 by UK-Danny-93

Truth be told I only experienced two glitches in my time with the game. The first happened when I triggered an overwatch, the shot missed me but destroyed a wall which uncovered another set of enemies before the 'bullet time' effect had ended and it never did end so I had to quit to xmb. The second caused no enemies to spawn in the final mission after I'd made a save right at the beginning but that's fixable by killing the 'Volunteer' which triggers a restart final mission option and then everything worked fine after that. I've done two full playthroughs so far and those are the only issues I've had. Maybe I've been lucky? I played EW for the first time less than two weeks ago. Maybe the game breaking glitches you experienced have been patched since you last played? Edited July 9, 2015 by UK-Danny-93
Popular Post Ala-Arska
Dead Space Concodrance Officer Collect all Trophies Backlog status: improved. I first started playing this years and years ago, but never got around finishing it. Maybe I was just a scared little kitten back then. Fast forward half a decade and Dead Space came to my attention again while checking Snakebit10's trophy list for 'Pick the Plat you're jealous of'-section. It was time to turn that jealousy into ownage, so I decided to grow a pair and snag this Plat once and for all. So thanks again, Snake As a game DS pretty much shines in all the key areas. For a title over 7-or-so years old, the graphics still hold up perfectly and the gameplay and controls are outstanding. The soundtrack enhances greatly the already tight and closed space atmosphere. As a gamer, I got immersed as soon as the game started. Always a good sign. Although I managed to survive the trip to Ishimura with my nerves intact, the road was still frightening as f**k. I soiled more pants than your average neighborhood hobo. The only thing I didn't care much was the 'Shoot-the asteroids-with-a-wobbly-aim' section, and the trophy related to that part was the hardest to get for me. I don't see how a survival horror can get any better than this, Dead Space takes the number one spot with flying colors. Wait, there's a Dead Space 2? And it's even better than the first one?

Popular Post Fatty_Fatness
Wait, there's a Dead Space 2? And it's even better than the first one? Dead Space is FANTASTIC. I love Dead Space with all of my body, including my pee pee. If not my #1 favorite game of all time, it's definitely in the top three, together with Demon's Souls and Dark Souls. (Funny, how the acronym of all 3 are "DS") Dead Space was my very first platinum, my very first 100%. My setup at the time I played it was a ~120" projection on one entire wall of my basement room with full surround sound. My housemates were away at the time, so I went through pretty much the entire game playing in the basement, alone in my house, between the hours of 10pm and 5am. FREAKIN. LOVED IT. Oh yeah, and DS2 & DS3 were great too.

Story from all 4 films with a twist a lego humor made for a enjoyable time. Lego games are always nice to just sit back relax and enjoy. Especially after a long grindy game like RDR. Ran into some minor glitches but nothing game breaking. Only complaint I have with it and it is the same for all Lego games. Way more challenging that the first and far more goal oriented. Most of the gifts and other tiems were tied to specific challenges for every standard song. Felt there was far better progression that the first. It helped that I can carry over the first one save data. Really saved a lot of time. Hope there another Miku Vita game soon. Popular Post D-Tron
#64 - J-Stars Victory VS+ J-STARS Victory VS+ Thanks for playing. Here's a platinum with the most uncreative name we couldn't think of. I'm not a huge anime fan. Hell, I just don't watch much TV because I consider video games my favorite entertainment medium. I knew little characters in this game aside from the obvious ones. I mean you're basically living under a rock if you don't know who Goku is. So let's say I didn't know like 80% of the characters in this game; I just love J Games too much. J-Stars is a fun, yet also really simple 3D fighter. I didn't bother to learn any other combos outside of Goku, Ichigo, Luffy and Yuuske,. Turns out I didn't need to because the simple mechanics of the game didn't really require the use of multiple characters to be good at it. I have no clue why they made different story arcs when they're all basically the same. I probably could've gotten on the first achievers list if I didn't get the game a week later than everyone else. Oh and fuck Victory Road. Whoever invented that should go die. The in game reward of being able to freely select all battles once you've ALREADY beaten them is bullshit. Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 7/10
