Popular Post Dr_Mayus
#175-Guacamelee! Oh man I dug this game . I don't know why I didn't get this before but for 3$ (and an extra 5$ for all the DLC) this was an awesome experience. This one is in serious contention for Dr_Mayus Year End Awards Anyone who knows me, knows I love a great platformer and this is one solid platformer. Funny, good story, good villains, challenging boss fights (stupid Javier), excellent fluid movement...yeah this had it all. Also I heard this game had some rage inducing challenges. I read about people quitting the platinum because of the Tule Tree challenge. I beat it on my second try using the Vita (which has less accurate controls than the PS3). I just came off of Velocity 2x so yeah...this was nothing. All that being said though this year kind of started off crappy with some less than desirable platinums, but I am now 8 in a row for AWESOME games (would have been 10 but stupid Skylanders Giants got in the way) and I look forward to more awesome games Edited August 26, 2015 by Dr_Mayus
Popular Post Dilla
#59METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE “The only necessity for success is the willingness to suffer 1000 failures." Shout out to my friend TheIncinerator1. I honestly didn’t know if I would be able to finish this game’s trophy list. I’m not very good at playing hack and slash games. But Inc encouraged me to go for it, and it certainly helped motivate me. He also shared some helpful protips that made my journey easier. Now that I have this game finished, the Metal Gear series is 100% complete (at least until next week lol.) It took me a long time, but regardless I'm very happy to have finally met that goal
Popular Post FluffyAssassin64
#46 & #47 + 100% - Sound Shapes (PS4 & PS3) "You've Gone Platinum" Complete all Death Mode and Beat School levels. This was a game I didn't expect to like as much as I did! I'd heard about the easy haul of silver trophies, and it looked interesting (and it was free!) so I thought I might as well pick it up. The game is gorgeous; the different art styles in each level are at times breathtakingly beautiful. The music and sound design is top notch, with some of the tunes from specific levels sticking in my head long after I'd finished playing! The inventiveness and variety of levels on display was also incredible, I had an absolute blast. The platforming - while simple - is precise enough (normally) so as to not be frustrating, while still being rewarding when you nail that jump with perfect timing. My favourite selection of levels (album) was "Cities"; there were some very addictive beats, crazy enemies, awesome obstacles and I had a blast here Most of these levels were quite easy too. The Death Mode levels, on the other hand, weren't too hard - but they were a bit of a pain! The RNG (randomness) of the spawns of the 'notes' you need to collect in a time limit (with at times brutally hard obstacles) can make or break an attempt. Some goes you might be able to finish a level with 5s to go, while previously you had to go from right to left to right to left... ad nauseum! I love this kind of tight platforming challenge though (like Ponce de Freon in Rogue Legacy; so satisfying!), and all the levels probably only took me 2 hours in total. The Beat School levels were also more enjoyable than I expected! It's very simple - matching up the notes you can hear with 'actual' notes in a bar ranging from start to finish, and varying in pitch - but makes you feel good when you are able to recreate the beats based on sound alone. Not much depth here (I'm not a musician either), but they're only meant to teach the basics anyway. A part of this game I didn't really dive into was the level creation. From the tutorial, it looked decent enough, but I'm not a massive creator (I would rather enjoy the games that other people have gone to the time and effort to craft perfectly!). It does look good though In terms of trophies, this game is as easy as you make it. The Death Mode trophies are the only ones that rely on you having some skill yourself; if you're a real cop-out, you can just google the 'answer sheets' for Beat School... but that would be cheating. I personally chose not to do that; I found it fun to figure it out myself, but I supposed you technically could if you want a heap of silver trophies for doing nothing The DLC is also very cheap (only about $1.45 per pack here in AUS), and I thought it was worth it. I was having fun with the game, and wanted to support the developers (plus, lots of easy silver trophies is always a win!). All in all, definitely worth a play (especially now considering it's free!). Simple, but fun and challenging; great as something different from all the AAA games out there today. Would recommend to anyone; just don't expect crazy depth! Game Rating: 8/10 Difficulty: 2.5/10 (even quicker and easier if you cheat ) Edited August 27, 2015 by FluffyAssassin64
Popular Post thegirlruka
27. God of War Trophy of Zeus Unlock all God of War® Trophies I saw the God of War Saga Collection (every game but Ascension) on sale on Amazon for only $15 so I thought why not get 5 games for 3 dollars each. I wasn't allowed to play the games as a child so every game in the series was new to me and the series has been regarded a must-play playstation series. I was surprised by how easy the game was as I played through it the first time. It might have been easier than it should have been since I played on Easy and used both the Medusa MP exploit and the Harpy blood orb exploit to have near infinite MP for the whole game and enough blood orbs to max everything after the Challenge of Atlas. My finish time for the first playthrough was around 6.5 hours in-game time so I thought it would be an easy platinum since I was most worried about the speed run before I started... and then challenge 10 came along. I think I spent a good hour and a half trying different strategies to finish the challenge. I tried fighting outright, countering, using the (held) combo, and trying to focus on the puppies while ignoring the goats. In the end, I ended up spamming the + attack both on the ground to launch the enemies and in the air to send them flying off the edge. This challenge is the only reason the difficulty is 5.5 and not 2.5. After finishing with the challenge of the gods, I started a new game with the Ares costume and used the Medusa MP exploit and the speed run was a cake walk in comparison. This isn't a game that I can see myself playing again, but it was an interesting story and I'm looking forward to playing the other games in the series. A good game, especially for DBZ fan (obviously) with a lot of fan service and re-enacting the most iconic moments of the series in "what if" scenarios is really cool. Popular Post NetEntity
# 11: Alice: Madness Returns - Platinum For All Other Trophies Oh, this is a meaningful one. Through the course of this month I seem to be drawn to worlds I left long ago and haven't visited since my childhood have ended. American McGee's Alice is a very important game to me, a collection of creepy memories and dead faded colors, a journey into the broken mind of a little girl, who sits on the asylum bed, blindly staring into the night, her worn toy rabbit clutched in hands. Twenty days ago I've returned to the Wonderland. All is familliar, yet all is different. Alice is much more responsive now; gone are the wonky movements and awkward single jumps, replaced by the glorious quadruple(!) jump with the double floating, that gives absolutely crazy freedom of traversing the locations. Now not you are in the enemies' mercy, but they are in yours - when you master the battle system, they don't have a chance. The Wonderland is colorful and detailed now, but colors only fuel madness - everything is much more grim now. Story is more complex, locations are more imaginative, music, though mostly ambient now, gives everything life - and when it decides to make itself known, those moments are priceless. I'm glad I've returned. I didn't want to leave. Will Otherlands welcome me? Will I ever stand behind Alice again? Wonderland, though damaged, is safe in memory... for now. Too bad EA has the key...

Popular Post Lucas
#16 The Order: 1886 The Grail Collect all Trophies This week I finally got to play The Order: 1886. Even though many review scores have been pretty low (a Metacritic average of 63!), I was still quited hyped to play this game. When I first jumped into it, I directly liked the style they made this game. Also, the visuals were absolutely stunning! I liked how the story was being told and how gameplay got alternated with both cutscenes and QTE's, Though I really liked the game in general, the ending didn't give me a statisfying feeling at all. They ended the game with me having many questions left. (People who played this game will know.) I'm sure that, with this ending, Ready at Dawn will come with a sequel within a couple of years. (They better do! ) The platinum trophy was really easy. I got the platinum after I completed the story. Difficulty: 1/10 Enjoyment: 7.5/10 Why are my platinum screenshots always so boring?! Popular Post jka121
Platinum #46 - Battlefield 4 Platinum Trophy Collect all other Battlefield 4™ Trophies --- I almost gave up on this plat after I found out I couldn't die in mission 2, I finally got back to it. I guess I got lucky, because I never got a file save corrupted. And I have to say, this game is pretty fun and it would be even better if it wasn't so buggy. I love that platinum trophy image, it looks so cool. I love messing with all the campers in multiplayer, they are like so clueless to whats going on around them. I remember once I drove a car into the elevator and got it up on the roof. I thought the story was really great and interesting. Popular Post voodoo_eyes
#63 - Lego Ninjago: Nindroids This one was a drag... worst Lego game by far. It's terribly boring, character selection is only available before the challenges for each level are shown (which include character specific challenges), which is inconvenient to say the least. Would definitely not recommend. I hope Shadow of Ronin won't be as bad, or I might not bother to finish that one. Popular Post LeetWolf2
#103 - Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD 15.87% Rare Tony Hawk's PS Master Unlock all trophies. I loved Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 and 3, so I bought this because I'd never played the first one and it seemed like the perfect opportunity to finally play it. I wasn't disappointed as this feels exactly like the other two games and is a lot of fun. Due to the trophy rarity I didn't think it would be too hard. I was very wrong. X_X The miscellaneous trophies in this game are ridiculously difficult to pull off due to glitches, required perfect timing and in some cases expecting you to do a near impossible feat multiple times. Still, overall I had a blast and if you can catch it on sale at any point I'd say go for it (if you're willing to put up with a few tough trophies). Also eagerly awaiting Pro Skater 5
Popular Post dmland12
#12 -- Shadow Warrior Trophy Hunter (0.84%) What a great game! It's a FPS with an overpowered sword. Good gameplay, good graphics, and good humor. I bought it for the slaughter of hordes of demons, and there's plenty of that, but it also surprisingly had an interesting story and characters. Heroic mode puts up a good fight and beating it was certainly the most difficult trophy by far, but it never felt impossible just very hard. Overall, I really enjoyed every bit of this game and would recommend it if you're at all interested. Oh also, explosions. Lots of explosions.
Popular Post xZoneHunter
#80 Until Dawn A Symphony of Horror Trophies This game was totally awesomesauce! I don't think any other PS4 game has captivated me like Until Dawn did. I was glued on the edge of my seat the whole time in my first playthrough. And it had some genuine jumpscares. Next to heavy rain this would have to be my favourite "movie" - type game. Definitely recommend this to anyone who is on the fence of buying it. If you play blindly (no guides etc) on your first playthrough you can easily get 10-15 hours out of it, if you don't rush through it and explore a bit. The game looks gorgeous and although sometimes the facial expression may seem a bit messed up, the voice acting is superb!
