Popular Post UK-Danny-93
Platinum #39 Batman Arkham City 5.59% Very Rare It's been almost 2 months since I've had a new Platinum to share with you and this games one of the main reasons for that. It's got to be one of the most demanding Plats I've gotten. New Game Plus, 400 Riddler trophies, Challenge Rooms and Campaigns. I've definitely been dragging my feet a little. Having said that though, I did still have a really great time with the game. It's the same satisfying gameplay from Arkham Asylum with some new gadgets. The games transitioned into an open world which Batman can pretty much fly around utilizing a grapnel and his cape. The main story and side quests are interesting and set you up against a great cast of villains from the big bads like Joker, Ra's al Ghul and Hugo Strange to lesser antagonists like Zsasz, Penguin and Two Face. All are well represented and fun to take on in the game.Faithfully representing Gotham and it's characters is one of the highlights of the Arkham games and 'City' continues this well from 'Asylum' I've seen the boss fights in the game get some criticism but I enjoyed them. As much as I enjoy the combat in the game, most fights tend to play out the same so I appreciated the boss fights for adding a little bit of variety to the game. Plus going head to head with the villains provides the most memorable moments from the game. 400 Riddler trophies is a lot to run around and collect. Especially when several of them require precise use your gadgets. It's much more complicated than the riddler trophies in Asylum but it's not too hard in the end. Gamespot has a great guide that I used. Thank god they carried over into the New Game Plus unlike the other side missions. The last thing I did was the challenge rooms and campaigns. This is probably the most challenging part of the game. In particular the Predator Campaigns. Completing three of the challenge rooms in a row with difficulty modifiers and only 3 retries was a pretty daunting prospect. When you get into it though you find that there's always a a reliable way to start each map that allows you to quite quickly knock out a medal or too and from there it's very doable. It's a testament to the design of the levels that knowledge of the environments can make the seemingly daunting very doable. Having completed 'Arkham City' and 'Arkham Asylum' I have to say that while I really enjoyed them both, I do still prefer 'Asylum'. Overall it just felt like a tighter experience, it took me awhile to get comfortable in the new open world and I feel like that and struggling with the VR missions early on hurt the early game experience for me. Once I did get into it though I did really enjoy the game and would recommend it to anyone whose interested. Overall I'd give it an 8.5/10 for enjoyment, a 7/10 for time commitment needed and a 7/10 for difficulty
Popular Post Floriiss
#112: South Park: The Stick of Truth South Park™: The Stick of Truth™ Platinum Trophy Collected all South Park™: The Stick of Truth™ trophies. Hilarious. I've seen quite a few episodes from South Park and it was really fun to see all these familiar faces in the game. Trophy wise pretty easy, but a lot of missable trophies which was pretty annoying. Loads and loads of farting trophies which was fun. If you're looking for an easy and entertaining game you should try this one! But remember folks. Never, ever, ever fart on someone's balls.
Popular Post UK-Danny-93
#40 Saints Row IV Kingpin Unlock all Trophies in Saints Row IV. 13.33 Rare I feel like I played the majority of this game with a big, stupid grin on my face. Saints Row IV is one of the funniest games I've ever played, filled to the brim with comical characters, weapons and meta jokes poking fun at games such as Mass Effect and it's romance options and also at things like weapon wheels lighthearted and good naturedly. I haven't played any of the other Saints Row game and I understand that 'IV' is quite a departure from the previous game so I can't speak to that personally other than to say I really enjoyed the set up. Super Powers in the Matrix you're trapped in after aliens invade Earth. The super powers are fun to use and the game does a good job of evolving them with new upgrades and elements as you progress through the game. The traversal of the open world with the aid of Super Sprint and Super Jumps feels great. There's nothing revolutionary about the mechanics of the game but it all works fine and doesn't ever get in the way of the story and the writing which is the games main strength. The writing and voice acting in the game is superb and had me laughing all the way through. Zinyak is a great antagonist, particularly when he interferes with the Loyalty missions for the various Saints you rescue from the simulation. The Saints themselves are brilliant too. Some of my favourite moments are small things like singing along to the radio with Pierce or listening to the two Shaundies bicker. It's impressive that I enjoyed messing around with these characters so much despite not being familiar with the three previous games involving them. It's a game that's definitely left me wanting more. It's a shame that the dlc is way overpriced so I'll wait and hope it goes on sale sometime soon. Overall I'd give the game a 9/10 for enjoyment, a 4/10 for time commitment need and a 2/10 for difficulty. Popular Post Gregorymany
#121 Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag (PS3) Prizes, Plunder, and Adventure! Assassin´s creed IV black flag is a real good addition to the franchise, because it improves almost every aspect and gameplay element of AC 3. The weather system is much better, the naval missions are amazing this time, the combat is improved, the graphics are much better, the online mode is better, the soundtrack is stunning. Of course there are a few flaws, like the personality of the characters, are very weak, and almost all pirates have the same (excluding edward and blackbeard, wich are very well made and have a unique personality); the story is not that good, and the micro-transactions are so expensive on the online mode. One thing that i found particulary annoying is the fact that they included "online" elements in the single player, and since community challenges are not avaliable anymore, we will never get all the outfits, or the weapons in Single Player (I hope they never put something like that in an AC game again). The DLC is good, but it´s too short for the price (15 dollars). In overrall the game is not perfect, but it is focused more on improving the the elements that are already there, than trying to innovate the series with poor implemented elements, wich is a very good approach to a sequel in my opinion.

Popular Post Senbon Kaguya
#132 - Enslaved: Odyssey To The West Platinum Trophy Collect all ENSLAVED™ trophies. Well, what more can I say about this game? It really is underrated. Enjoyed the voice acting a lot, the characters.. the environment (ooh boy looks great)! And most of all the story. I really couldn't find anything in the game that didn't make me like it. I was annoyed with some boss related trophies but that's about it. Anywho, if you haven't bought this game yet, do it! I picked mine up for $4.00 at a local game shop but its worth a bit more imo. A steal though for an epic game. Popular Post Cake
Platinum # 55 Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 MasterYou played the game so much, you made Neptune folks proud! Enjoyment 10/10 Difficulty 2/10 A little history about me & this series. I was never the RPG type back in the day. I thought the idea of characters taking turns hitting each other and leveling up was ridiculous. Well, in late 2012 I saw Neptunia mk2 in gamestop. I loved the box art, debated with myself if I should try it and I caved in and got it. I actually didn't like it at first. About an hour into it, my feelings about the game started to change. I loved everything about it, the story, characters, battle system, basically the things I thought I disliked about RPGs I found myself really enjoying. When I heard Neptunia Victory was coming out in 2013 I preordered it immediately. I even found the original Neptunia a few months later and played the hell out of that. I've had the pleasure of playing some really awesomw RPGs/JRPGs since then. Ni No Kuni, Tales of Graces, Tales of Symphonia, and Child of Light to name a few. This series converted me I'd say, I'm now a huge RPG fan and even now still looking for good ones to play. Now that I have a Vita, that should be a lot easier.
Popular Post Spinach
#6 - inFAMOUS (PS3) inFAMOUS Platinum Trophy Collect all other inFAMOUS trophies. Fun: 3.5/5 Difficulty: 2/5 –––––––– About the closest I'll ever get to playing a superhero game... It was cool in the sense that you can pick to be a bad guy or a good guy, and the story was entertaining - BUT NOT twice with the same storyline/ending and unskippable cutscenes. The gameplay was choppy (the climbing especially) and full of bugs/glitches (might just be my experience) which was kinda annoying. The shards weren't too bad using a map and collecting 'em along the way. Overall an alright game considering its age. Popular Post D-Tron
#71 - Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls Pragmatism's Last RewardSeriously, this franchise is becoming one of my most favorite niche franchises out there (after Disgaea of course ). It was a bit strange to take a break from the courtroom but I was relieved to see this game maintain a lot of its visual novel aspect as it's still text heavy. The start of the story was so so, IMO. Get to the end though and it's feels like another "Holy sh*t! WTF?!" moments that makes me love this series so much. That's all I can leave you with though; because spoilers. I think it's been said before, or at least goes without saying, don't play this unless you've played the first two games. If you haven't done that then you're fucking crazy and you should play them for the sake of your mental well being. This game is something I'd only recommend to Danganronpa fans. Popular Post lazyfan
#12: Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls Pragmatism's Last Reward Earned every other trophy in the game. This game was seriously fantastic. Danganronpa is easily one of my favorite video game series out there currently, and this game totally lived up to my hype. I still prefer the murder mystery visual novel gameplay that the series had in its first two entries, but the gameplay here was still enjoyable for me, and the story is just as great and dark as what we've come to expect from the previous two installments. Popular Post yellowwindow7
Warrior Within / Prince of Persia Warrior Within some say their lest favorite pop game is the 2008 prince of persia or the forgotten sand while praising the classic as the best, to me i actually did enjoy the forgotten sand and the pop 08 more than warrior within, well i dig the dark setting but other than that " prince doesn't sound or looks like the prince i know, now he sounded like a heavy metal Emo-ish Very Mad rock singer " Gothic theme is licking the game all over! and the sound tracks.....oh boy.. i don't know who thought it's so bad ass to have heavy metal sound tracks in a prince of persia game, yes the sand of time also had it but it's never been or focused on it so much like in warrior within. warrior within is my least favorite pop. unlike the sands of time, which is a perfect port of the PC's and even better visually, WW is a butchered port of the PC's, even the ps2 version looked better! the only thing made the HD stand out is the new HD texture on the environment and Prince and Kalina got more polygon counts which can be seen on prince fingers and kalina's hair. just leave it to Ubisoft to mess everything up, i mean how the hell do you messed up a port of a game made 11 years ago? and i swear the pop series is almost get every deadly sins of gaming, the sands of time have the sin of Escort Mission, warrior within have the Backtracking stuff, the two thrones have the QTE's, pop 08 have the Holding Hands and the forgotten sands have the sin of Graphics over Gameplay... see? Pro Tip: the game at least need a stupid 3 playthrough to plat it, it could be even 4 playthrough's if you did what i do for the collectibles so... " after the prince get rid of the mask of wrath at the end of the game NEVER ATTEMPT TO GO BACK TO THE TOP OF THE SACRIFICIAL SHRINE ROOM AND SAVE YOUR GAME THERE! you do this and the game will glitched out and locked and imprison you there, the only way out is to start a new game again! Popular Post Haihattelija
Mirror's Edge #10 Over the Edge What an awesome game. Parkouring trough the dystopian city is still quite unique experience and it was a joy to complete. I did find this game challenging but not as much as its reputation indicated. Speedrunning trough chapters was mostly about knowing the efficient ways to overcome obstacles, using right paths and keeping momentum. I actually died in some of my speedruns but was still able complete the chapter in allotted time. Surely speedrunning this without videoguides could be quite discouraging experience but thankfully there is a ton of helpful guides to choose from. I used Ovendonkeys videos to improve my skills. I recommend learning from his videos since he actually teaches some nice tricks and not just run trough the game without telling how to do various things needed to compete in speedrunning. There is some shooting involved trough the game but it is somewhat poorly made. It didn't bother me since it's completely optional. You can mostly ignore guards or just use melee tactics. I definitely recommend anyone to play this game if you are looking for challenging and fun parkour game. Popular Post Undead Wolf
Platinum #78 Tales of Hearts R Master of Hearts My first impressions of this game where that this was going to be a sub par Tales as it was a remake of a DS game and it even had an iOS port in Japan. How wrong I was! This game is fantastic! First of all, it has some of the best combat in a Tales game in my opinion. What with guard countering, cross chase and mystic artes all being thrown into the mix, I never got bored with it. The story was also another high point with me. Sure, maybe it seems a little cliche at first but it quickly grabbed my interest and didn't let go into it was over. There is no English dub for this game which was a little disappointing to begin with, but I must say, I thoroughly enjoyed the Japanese voice acting. A lot of the scenes were fantastic, giving a real sense of emotion and helped keep me invested in the story. Although not my favourite cast of Tales characters, they are all great (except Beryl) and I loved the banter between them in the skits/story scenes. As for the platinum, it was pretty straight forward. It took me 2 full playthroughs at around 70 hours total play time, bearing in mind I was being pretty leisurely about it . I was expecting a lot of grinding but as long as you focus on raising things like your cooking skill and are going for cross chases during both of your playthroughs, there was very little of it. You have to collect all 76 namcoins for a trophy but that only has one missable coin near the start of the game, so it's not too bad. The hardest part of the platinum for me was beating the final boss on Unknown difficulty. Even then though, as long as you are all at level 200, have the right strategy and are stocked up on items, it wasn't too hard. Finally there is a balloon popping mini game you have to reach a combined score in with all the characters for a trophy. From what some people were saying, I thought this was going to be extremely difficult. It turns out that with the right artes and skills equipped, this mini game is a breeze. I got through it in like 20 minutes. Tales of Hearts R is definitely worthy of being up there with some of the best Tales games. If you're a fan of these kinds of games and for whatever reason dismissed this one, give it a go. It may suprise you like it did with me. Popular Post Valkyreth
Catherine Cheers To You! This is definitely one of my favorite and possibly the most unique game that I've played from the past generation, but it's no surprise seeing as it's the same teams that created Persona 3 and 4. It was quite challenging at first but after learning the mechanics of the game it became slightly easier. In fact I hardly ever used video guides, except for Rapunzel mode which is pretty damn boring. Babel mode also isn't too bad if you play in pairs, I think I struggled more with the Gold Prizes on hard (chapter 9-5 in particular) than I did with Babel. So yeah...that's basically my experience with Catherine, I might consider doing the EU version at some point. Popular Post Kishnabe
Platinum #62 Dangaronpa Another Episode : Ultra Despair Girls (VITA) Pragmatism Last Reward( had a chuckle at it reference to VLR) Dangaronpa series never disappointing. Interesting cast, story and it ties really well in between Dangaronpa 1 and 2. It shows how some of the first season characters had changed and what they were doing. Had some Season 2 characters as well. Explained some needed questions from Dangaronpa 1. Thankfully this was a 3rd person shooter...it was fun as well trying to destroy monokuma's(from all the taunting in DGN 1 it was satisfying). There post game side game...which I am going to go for now. DGN1 and 2 Side games were fun. Probably this one would be good as well. Nothing is too difficult other than timing in some puzzles( Did it right but did not register). It far faster to complete than Danganonpa 1 and 2...as Side Game is not requirement for the platinum. The ending fully brought what made Dangaronpa amazing.....I wish there more defending/accusation situations. Defintly worth if you have are into the Dangaronpa games. You should at least go into this one with finishing Dangaronpa 1 or Season 1 Dangaronpa Anime.

Popular Post AbyssRex
Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe Platinum Trophy Picked up this game I believe in June 2014. It was an older game so I figured the online servers would soon close down so I didn't waste much time. It's a good thing I did since servers officially closed July 16th 2014 less than 1 month after I got all my online done The game was straight forward. The worst MK game I played by a lot. Combat was really fast but meh and having to do both story modes were a drag. Doing all super moves was really frustrating since so many guides say so many different things so I just did every move and every variation of each move just to be safe Has a very hard kombo challenge where you need to do 10 for each character. Was only a few characters that actually gave me problems but all in all it wasn't all that bad. Extremely hard if not all that familiar with fighting games though. This game was not a very good game at all imo (coming from a huge MK fan) but I'm proud to have the platinum
