Popular Post thefake-scotsman
#2: Rocket League - Virtuoso Achieved Platinum: 14th August 2015 Rocket League is only my second platinum that I've ever achieved, after I completed Watch_Dogs (which took ages to complete). I used to play this game all of the time - I think it's the only PS+ free game that I've actually played more than once. I would still play it now, but I don't have PS+ as I can't afford at the moment, so I can't play it. But yeah, as it's been almost a year between my latest platinum, you can tell I'm not really a trophy hunter!

Popular Post Ala-Arska
Volume The Platinum Arrow Gain all trophies in Volume First you learn how to sneak. Then you're golden. Almost like Metal Gear Solid: Special Missions. Except without a gun. And a cardboard box. Sneaking and stealth, like Snake back in the day. That's the premise that got me buying this game. Except Volume isn't nearly as fun as the VR missions. There's nothing particularly bad about it, it just falls flat a bit. Maybe it's the 100 missions that more or less repeat themselves over and over again. Maybe it's the not-so-interesting plot and conversations between the main man and his AI. Or maybe it's the lack of a kick-ass soundtrack that bothers me I really don't know. Perhaps I just played it too much in a too short period of a time. Volume definitely stays more fresh if consumed in small bites. Wolfing down 100 levels in two snaps will only cause you tummy aches It's not the most innovative game out there, but not as rotten as I may make it sound. Volume is best recommended as a "rental" for wannabe cat burglars and followers of the Big Boss

Popular Post BOT-Brad
#53 - The Talos Principle (PS4) I had been flirting with buying this game since Christmas after seeing it getting good reviews and also the fact that I am a sucker for puzzle games. For whatever reason I never got round to buying it, but seeing it on offer the other day for £9 made it a no-brainer for me to finally pick it up. I am absolutely glad I did, the puzzle design was fantastic, gradually easing you into the mechanics of the individual entities. On top of that, a story based on philosophy and artificial intelligence that was much more interesting than I had anticipated also kept me interested. Ultimately, a great puzzle game and an absolute bargain at £9. I also really enjoyed the short DLC included as well, which had a couple of harder levels than the main game (I never really had any troubles with any of the main game puzzles aside from maybe 7 or 8 stars I couldn't even find where they were, let alone get them). The 'Ray Mania' level from the DLC was the only level I really got stuck on, eventually solved it after about an hour or pretty much trying everything. Time To Platinum: Approx. 20 Hours. - Playtime for the main game with the secret ending totals 13 hours and 28 minutes, but probably add another 2 hours for the time spent doing the other 2 endings and the audio logs which I collected in a separate backup run. The DLC took just 4 hours and 29 minutes with the admin ending, add maybe another 30 minutes for the original ending which I restored. Difficulty: 3.5/10 - The game always trod a very delicate line of never feeling too difficult and yet never really feeling easy. I never hit a puzzle that I felt I couldn't solve, and yet there were only a few puzzles where I solved it almost instantly. The only annoyance was the stars, I had to look up guides for 7 or 8 of them as I just could simply not even find where they were. Enjoyment: 9/10 - I love puzzle games and this is one of the best I have ever played. Highly recommended.

Popular Post Akamatzu
#56 Demon Souls I have to say at first, I hated this game. It was boring I didn't see the lore or the draw to it and I wasn't invested. But, after hours and hours of playing many are these games fun! The adrenaline is pumping so much when choice can lead to death so fast! Loved IT!

Popular Post SkyesUnholy
Magicka 2 You Are The Special Get all other Trophies. A fun and cute coop game with funny references thrown around Loved the big selection of different combinations of spells that could be cast and how you could even combine a few beams with other people to create differing "black holes" or bomby explosion thingies that deal a lot of damage got bored of it after the hardest difficulty though and felt tedious going towards the plat. 30+ ultra rare trophies and it's also my third rarest plat, that IGC inclusion worked wonders on this rarity percentage

HElSENBERG79
Hey, that looks pretty slick, is the game one of those super-grindy games? Not at all. Compared to the other JRPG by Experience this one is pretty easy , very few hours of grinding at the end of game cause the last bosses are pretty strong but the overall is ok
Popular Post Dead Weight
#147 Tales of Zestiria I enjoyed this entry; the main party was enjoyable, story was pretty good and I thought the skill chart and equipment fusing were good systems. Battle system is mainly the same as other Tales of Games, I thought that Armitization was a good addition but it did make it so your party composition was limited. It's a very visual appealing game with a great soundtrack but there are noticeable things about the game such as town NPCs all having the same faces and that far away enemies on the map run on a lower FPS. Trophies aren't too bad ( though they are more difficult than Hearts R, Xillia and Xillia 2) but there are a couple of RNG based trophies that do hamper the hunting experience a bit. All in all a good game.

Popular Post D-Tron
#108 - MotoGP 14 MotoGP 14 Champion! I got this because it was $4 on a flash sale and it was worth it. A bit of a stretch to consider it at its full $20 price because it gets really repetitive. Don't get me wrong, it's fun for a while. I have never even heard of MotoGP until I decided to play this game. I could tell I've seen the motorbike sport for brief moments while channel surfing on TV but I never got invested into it. It looks like quite a dangerous sport imo. These vehicles understeer so much that the riders have to lean themselves and their bikes almost all they way to the ground. You really have to be smart about your speed. Considering this is a sim, it does its best to make you feel like you're actually playing it. It just gets really repetitive and boring. Once you know how to handle the bike, it becomes too easy and is just a matter of tackling 60+ races (and 25 online races) lasting at least 4 minutes a piece. The platinum overstays its welcome. I thought about getting GP 15 but unfortunately fans of the series have complained that it suffers the exact same problems and mediocrity as every annual sports series. If you see it on sale for less than $10 I would recommend it but otherwise, stay away. Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 7/10

Popular Post Wdjat Prinny Doods
#134-Titan Souls Ascension This game was ok but didn't find it as good as I thought it would be. This game has a similar concept as Shadow of the Colossus where it is a game in which you only fight bosses. In this game you are killed with one hit and bosses die with one hit to their weak point although you either had to do something to reveal that weak point or wait for an opening for an enemies weak point to be exposed. I didn't really like this concept because battles were very short and none really felt rewarding when I beat them even on bosses where I died repeatedly. I actually didn't mind bosses being able to kill me in 1 hit, although it can be frustrating when you die to the same boss numerous times, I just wish the battles were more drawn out and memorable. The plat had its challenges but not extremely difficult though. All in all a decent experience but not sure I can say I recommend this one unless you can get it cheap doods
Popular Post DamagingRob
#130 and #8,000- CONCEPTION II Children of the Seven Stars: All TrophiesEarned all trophies I really liked this game. I mean, it's no Persona 4 Golden. But still, it was a lot of fun. Mostly the girls and their stories, anyways. The dungeons and fighting got a little tedious, but that's a pretty minor gripe for a JRPG. I thought it would make a perfect milestone, so I held off on Platting it for about a week and a half. 8,000 trophies, man.. Couple thousand more, and I'll hit 10k! But fun game, endearing characters, and only around 40 hours to Plat. Not much to complain about there. Recommend Vita owners checking it out, even if the whole Classmating thing seems a little.. weird. #131-Apotheon Omnipotence Unlock all other Trophies And it just so happens, I had reached the end of this one, about the time my 8,000th trophy was coming up. So, double Plat night! This game.. kinda tough. But not too tough. But I didn't really want to play through it a 2nd time, so when I read the trophy guide description for "A Hero's Due," I thought I was going to have to either push myself to run through it again, or put it off for awhile. See, I had just been going down the line with my trophy clean up. And nowhere in the roadmap did it say anything about a chest possibly getting stuck in the ground/wall. It's there in the trophy description, but I really feel like it should have been mentioned in the road map. Basically, the guides on here and pst.org fail to mention this there, and give you the impression there's nothing to worry about missing while playing the game. And right before the end, you can go back and clean up what you missed. But what if you just happen to have one or more of these chests get stuck in walls, before you start your clean up? Then you're looking at a 2nd playthrough, all because there was no warning present in the roadmap. But, there was a happy ending to this story. There are actually 13 chests in Acropolis, despite the game saying there are only 12. So, if only one chest gets stuck in the wall/ground, you can still get the trophy. Which is why I have this Plat tonight, instead of sometime in the future. Anywho, this game was really neat and I enjoyed it a lot. Like most games of its genre, though, you'll have to backtrack for those collectibles/trophies.. But at least this one turns you into a certified badass near the end, by giving you an awesome weapon that basically one shots most enemies. This makes that backtracking a whole lot easier than say, Strider or Arkham Origins: Blackgate, and somewhat fun. Edit: And that is how you do a frickin' map! Both of those games had me getting lost, when I was looking for those collectibles. This one's design was brilliant. Wesley
How would you rate the difficulty? And would you call it skill-based difficult, or luck based? I've heard the rating system doesn't make much sense..... 2/10-3/10. There isn't anything difficult here other than perhaps finding players. The grading system isn't so much as nonsensical as it is simple. The game is a four player cooperative title. So, generally, you are only graded for completion time. It would be really bizarre and difficult to create a grading system that isn't that. The combat isn't as complex as past PlatinumGames titles either, so having a "Style" mechanic wouldn't be very fun since the aforementioned combat is limited. You get bonuses -- such as 'Most Hits' and 'Damage Dodger'. I don't know what the latter exactly entails, because I have gotten that bonus when I have gotten hit.
