I came to this one pretty late as I did to Heavy Rain which I really enjoyed and wasn't expecting to like it nearly as much due to the muted response it seemed to get both critically and from players.

So much so that I almost played through the events in the 'remixed' chronological order at first because the main complaint I kept hearing was about the confusing, time jumping storyline. I would strongly recommend playing the game as it was intended having had no problem keeping up with the story.

I thought B:TS told a compelling story with a strong main protagonist and side characters that in the main were well developed and interesting enough to care about. The game isn't perfect, there are inconsistencies in the story and characters whose arcs I didn't like but I think the game should be primarily judged on whether it was engaging in the moment and whether it makes you feel something for the characters and for me at least Beyond was a success.

I'm definitely looking forward to Detroit now.

Nice interactive game where you really can see how the choices affect the story. Story was awesome with many different endings depending on the actions made.

One trophy is to unlock all the endings which turns the game a bit into a repetitive grind, but the new scenarios make up for it.

It was also nice to discover new types of QTEs that I hadn't yet seen before (from the still few games I have played).

Amazing game, a must have for every horror movie fan! this game and every little thing about it is a reference/parody/homage of every horror movie out there. As a fan of that genre it was a pleasure to play it and also see and understand all of its references

Even all of its trophies' titles are references/parodies of many horror movie titles!

And even if you aren't a fan of horror movies you can still enjoy it since the whole game is very fun and interesting from start to finish, and the story's twists are also unexpected. Also the Platinum is extremely easy to get, it only takes 2 playthroughs to get nearly all of its trophies, and you don't even have to play the whole game again since you can use Chapter Select.

It also surprised me all the different scenes, dialogue, reactions, environment changes, etc that you can get even by choosing the most irrelevant choices and that can affect a much later scene, and you can only notice this on subsequent playthroughs, so even after having plat'd the game you still won't have discovered all of its alternative stuff, which gives a lot of replayability.

Now waiting for Until Dawn 2!

#133 - WRC 4 FIA World Rally Championship

 

 

 

Not as good as the 5th one, but still alright. The tracks were a bit boring and the cars from the first 2 championships controlled terribly. Also the wrong or lacking indication of turns is worse than in the more recent version.

Having to drive with specific drivers or cars is just needless busy-work, which is something I'm not a fan of. The online was more of a chore as well, as it requires 3h of races. Considering that each races takes less than 5 minutes for the most part, that's at tad excessive. Thanks to VASORAT13 for boosting the online with me.

#134 - NCIS Game

 

 

 

This one was pretty meh. Felt like one of the laziest point-and-click games out there, It's extremely dumbed-down click and drag, with weird character interactions that feel awkward a lot of the time. It also doesn't feature the official voices of the cast, except for Ducky and DiNozzo Sr . The CSI game was a bit better.

Borderlands - I debated with myself for ages on whether to buy this game or not as I wasn't 100% sure I would enjoy it. I ended up picking up a super cheap GOTY copy last year and then debated some more on whether I'd actually play the damn thing. When I finally decided to give it a shot a few months back, and by decided I mean by process of "eenie-meenie-minie-mo", I'd only played it for a few hours before I was ordering The Handsome Collection from Amazon. It's definitely one of the more enjoyable games I've played recently, from scratch anyway, and looking forward to starting on the other 2 at some point.....hopefully they're just as good.

 

Not sure if I want to 100% it yet though as the Underdome DLC is not enjoyable in the slightest and I'm not sure I want to put myself through it.

Platinum #41- Remember Me

Man what a ride! Definitely blew me out of the water and I didnt expect it to be that good. Despite its linearity, I still enjoyed it and made a 2nd playthrough very enjoyable especially with new game + feature. Combat was well made with a little depth to it. It's no batman arkham but it was definitely fresh and different than the usual fighting styles in other games.

The soundtrack was phenomenal especially the menu and the kid Xmas bossfight. I also loved how the song is interactive with your combos.

The clean and cyberpunk aesthetic certainly reminds me of Mirror's Edge. The memory remixes were fun to manipulate to see the resulting outcome. Wish there was more of it.

My only gripe with the game is that the camera is awful at times and the cutscenes were unskippable but thats just nitpicking on my part.I was hesitant at first when I bought the game, but man I didn't expect it to be that great. Filled with plot twists and a controversial ending but I liked it. It may not be everybody's cup of tea but it certainly was for me and I'll remember it for the years to come .

Main game

Looking from where Infamous came from, and looking at where it is now, I can say it has improved a lot. The newer infamous games are great. The story was a bit short, but the ability of having all these awesome super powers definitely made up for that. Unlike First Light, you actually had a lot more powers to choose from. On one side I think this is a really cool feature. Now you can discover these powers and experiment with them. On the other side I'd love seeing that each person was tied to their power. This way Delson would depend way more on his friends, which would enhance their teamwork, and probably their friendship aswel. So yeah mixed feelings about that. Anyways, this game was a great experience! I'm looking forward to the next infamous!

OH MY GOD!!! Alright, I'm gonna be honest about this. So I was checking my backlog the other day and just couldn't decide what to play. So I went with the first game on my list which was Bioshock. For some reason I wasn't expecting much. Bioshock is an old game after all. Jokes aside, I was hooked straight from the beginning. I've had a blast playing through this game and enjoyed every second of it. The atmosphere is just, amazing. I've had moments when I walked into a room and just stood there admiring the environment. Especially rooms with glass windows. I could spend minutes watching Rapture and looking into the abyss. This game is really immersive. For me this was one of my better game experiences, and now I'm all hyped to play the next Bioshock. Heck I might even start it straight away. 

 

DLC

Overall the DLC was short and fun. Just like the main game it provided a lot of enjoy. Although, most of the DLC, was a bit different than the main game.

 

The first two DLC's were focussed on puzzling, rather than fighting. To be honest, I enjoyed doing these puzzles and I hope they will focus on this aspect later on aswel. It's something different than what a FPS does, which makes it stand out, which is good imo.

 

The last DLC was fighting all around! This DLC was pretty challenging imo. Overall the trophies were not that difficulty, but one trophy was quite a pain. You had to complete the DLC within 15 minutes of time. Even though I did this one on my first try, it was still pretty tough. I barely made it. Finishend with 14 minutes and 57 seconds. Close call. Really glad I pulled that off first try.

It is an easy game like the most people said. I personally think it an average game. If you like side scrolling platform, you could try it. However, don't pay too much. I purchased mine new for $20, and I think this price is a little bit high consider the game is kind short.

Such a pain in the ass. I had a badass shield and I hopped on one day and it was gone, never went back to try it again.

A little clarification: if you look at the box art, or the trophy page, or hell, even my banner, you can see it stars your typical generic animu shmucks. And they like to talk.

The kicker? The game won't let you ignore them. Oh no. You can mute the voices. You can turn of dialogue boxes. But they never go away. They are always there. Mouths flapping. Stopping you from proceeding til they get their piece out. Those two options? Worthless. Completely and utterly WORTHLESS.

This game was in my backlog for a while, i bought it without knowing anything about it, so i hadn't any expectations.

This was a good surprise, i enjoy every second of it. This game feels poetic with a little bit of challenge, it was like what if ICO meet Rayman in old Russia  

I recommend it to anybody who likes easy plateform games, or indie games that makes you travel for a few hours.

Hmm. Well I had fun with this game. It's a classic if you played the original game in Sega Genesis which was called Target Earth in NA. The game is a mix of Metal Slug and Gundam or Contra pretty much an action platformer.

It's the first game of the Assault Suit series with being remade in the PS4.

 

So if you like action platformers/mecha/classic games/a pretty decent challenge, I'd recommend you pick this up.

This has been the the closest platinum to close down the servers I have dared to try . The online trophies were faster than I imagined and the only difficult level, than took 20+ tries was "Stuck in a Jam"

If you guys want to go for this there is still time. It is possble to get all the online done in one day if you are dedicated enough.
