Popular Post SoapMacTavish222
#212 Assassin's Creed: Rogue. I was actually very surprised by how much I enjoyed this Assassin's Creed. I felt like they started to go downhill after Brotherhood so I stopped playing them till someone to me that Rogue was actually very good. So I gave it a shot and wasn't disappointed at all. It was a great story with a different twist from the Templar's perspective. The only thing I did not like about it were the convoy trophy and the prisoner of war trophy because they had a terrible spawn rate and it actually took me longer just to get those 2 trophies than it did for me to complete the entire story. Aside from that, (two thumbs up)

Popular Post Squeaak
#40 PAYDAY 2 Completely OVERKILL Complete everything. OVERKILL salutes you! Great game. Trophy wise, there's a few really luck based ones but nothing overly difficult. The only trophy that was given me problems was Short Fuse. I played with two different boosting groups from this site and both were equally as uncoordinated A week later I attempted Short Fuse with complete randoms who spoke little to no English and we pulled through with 8 bags lmao. Finally grinding to rep 100, just the very thought of it put me off playing for a while..until this morning that is. I noticed there was an exploit on the last day of Rats!? My poor self was doing speedruns of days 1-3 (Rats) over and over barely making any progress. I bumped up 40+ levels in just 4 hours using this method. Popular Post Bartolomeus
-- 19th platinum Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel Not a particularly good game, really. I might be coloured by the fact that I played through on my own ( ), though. I fell of the story-train fairly early on and started to listen to podcasts while I played instead, and I must admit that I had a fairly alright time doing this. I'm not really sure what else to say; the game is entertaining enough, and earning the platinum was not difficult at all. Insane difficulty could be a little tricky on a few occasions, but those times when I was downed my AI partner actually did a good job running over and healing me. Would probably have been a more interesting playthrough had I played it with a friend. :platinum: -- 20th platinum Broken Age I downloaded this game when it was free back in 2015 and obviously had low expectations. I'm not really sure why I downloaded it, as it did not strike me as "my type of game". However, I really liked it. For some reason I found profound joy in playing this game, in particular the parts of Act I and II taking place in Meriloft and Shellmound. Some people seem to dislike the game and on some level I can understand it, especially those who played Act I and had to wait a while for Act II. Act I is certainly the better one (in my opinion ), where everything was new and fresh, the puzzles were easy enough to complete without consulting with a guide but also forced me to connect a few dots etc. My biggest gripe with Act II is the spike in difficulty; the joke puzzle was decent enough, but the knot puzzle and wire puzzles were tough. Another thing is the fact that one have to look at particular objects in one character's world to solve a puzzle in the other person's world, but the game doesn't hint at it. In Act I you also had the opportunity to change worlds at any given time, but who did? I was too absorbed by the story and the tasks that I didn't even consider to do it, and suddenly in Act II I had to. Small complaints, really. I liked this game overall, the atmosphere was fantastic, and I'm really glad I picked it up.

Anyway, interesting story and typical TellTale game. Not much to say about it. Trophies are easy and some of them are easily missed, and if you miss them, you need to replay whole chapter, and that's the only thing i didn't like. I didn't encounter any glitches which is great as i heard many people complained about that, especially in ps4 version of the game. Popular Post RossaCara
#10 Apex Predator for Far Cry Primal Rather easy and fast, but I enjoyed almost every moment of this beautiful game. Except for the repetitive missions and claiming bonfires and outposts. I think Ubisoft may have a fetish to climbing and claiming things.

Such a frenetic game, just as I remember the old ones (although I was a little young when they came out xP). A little boring to get the collectibles but I followed the guide and everything went perfect. Really cool boss fights even I think that the last one if the "worst" of all of them. I loved the executions and never get tired of them. The multiplayer was meh.

Popular Post Mcbeanstr
#86 Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse Such a fun intriguing little game this was. Reminds me of Point and Click adventures of yesteryear and is just as good imo. The art style was remarkably pretty and the colours were visually striking. Added to it were the humorous characters and rather good story in the mix. If you like Point and Click games this is a fun little adventure that will last you a good 6 hours easy. Thanks to zadorvp for the excellent guide Overall rating 9/10 Plat difficulty 1/10 I think I will be tackling the Nathan Drake Collection and then go back to the story of Uncharted 4 and try to plat that.

Popular Post TheFinalEmblem
Platinum #58- Dead Rising This was my first time playing the game ever, and it was so damn enjoyable. The AI on survivors sucked at times, but that's such a minor thing, I don't really care. Frank West is definitely one of my favorite video game protagonists. Also, who thought it was a good idea to include a trophy that makes you play 14 hours straight in a mode with limited healing items and also constantly draining HP? So glad to be done... been up since 3AM to get it done. Platinum Screenshot Edited September 26, 2016 by TheFinalEmblem

Popular Post PooPooBlast
Platinum #45 - Hitman Absolution http://psnprofiles.com/lib/img/games/215141/trophies/1L9e6210.png Fun game with one major glaring flaw. Im going to get to the point right away. The disguise system. While one might argue it's more realistic and adds to the immersion, I'm going to say that I favour more fun than realism. I'd love to sneak around unnoticed with my disguise unless I'm caught doing something bad. Not only does this allow one to easily plan their assassination and become creative with their kills but also makes areas where one might avoid to actually approach it with confidence because you're HITMAN! Otherwise you'd end up following the safest path which provides boring kills. On normal difficulty these problems were manageable but once playing on hard where more enemies are present and are smarter, this system becomes ridiculous. This game was awesome however overlooking this one flaw and I'd love to get my hands on blood money or the 2016 version soon! 47 away! Popular Post Undead Wolf
Platinum #137 Dead Rising 2 DR2 Trophy Master You have acquired all the trophies in Dead Rising 2. It's pretty rare for me, but I somehow managed to become the 7th platinum achiever on this site, so I'm pretty happy with that. I usually take my time with games, but I guess I wanted to get this over with as quickly as possible. I'll explain why below. This game gives remasters a bad name. I have no problem with remasters when they have effort put into them. I'm thinking of Gravity Rush or the Uncharted collection, but this is just a glorified port. A simple cash-in and nothing more. It's had the bare minimum effort put in, with just a simple resolution and frame rate boost. No new textures, or features, nothing. It's not even a locked 60fps. When there's a lot of zombies on screen (which lets face it, that's most of the time) it will often dip into the low 40's. On a game that looks this dated, that's laughable. That's the least of my issues though. I could deal with the frame rate, but it's the constant crashes that get to me. The game was crashing every few hours at best, and in a game with no autosave, that's infuriating. Did I mention how buggy it is? Because yeah, it's ridiculous. I'll load a new area, and all of a sudden I'll just start levitating up to the sky. I'll get stuck in the ground for no reason, or I'll fall out of the map. All of this is a so-called "remaster". Oh, and you know how remasters usually take out tacked-on multiplayer nobody played in the original? Well guess what? It's back, and more broken than ever. You can literally be searching for a game at the same time as a group of friends, and instead of putting you into the same lobby, you all get put into separate ones. Yup, it's soooo good. Good luck to anyone who goes for this long after the game has launched. It was hard enough finding games on day one. Sorry if I sound bitter... It's because I am. If you dealt with the things I did, then you would understand. It's a real shame too, because I actually really like the game itself, it's just Capcom's greed that got in the way. They would rather put out a half-assed port than a proper remaster. It's just sad really. Anyway, I'll leave you with a few of my favourite memories of this game. This was me doing some sick ass skateboarding tricks. This was me enjoying a nice game of Poker. Nothing strange going on here.... Oh, and this was me trying to look for my house. I think i can see it from here! Edited September 27, 2016 by Undead Wolf
smellslikejavier
Platinum #137 Dead Rising 2 DR2 Trophy Master You have acquired all the trophies in Dead Rising 2. congrats on the plat. i agree about the 60 fps, after the good job they did with the original dead rising remaster (although they still didn't fixed some of the big issues that were present on the original game like the horrible and frustrating AI) i was left disappointed with dr2 remaster. although i only experienced 1 crash in my whole playthrough and i didn't experienced any of those other glitches you mentioned like levitating, getting stuck on the ground, falling through walls, etc... so i was impressed by those pics you shared, hopefully capcom will release a patch afterwards. i kind of like the idea of capcom wanting to do more remasters of their old games, since there are many games from their catalogue that would be good to have with trophy support like resident evil outbreak, haunting ground, etc but at the same time i'm worried about their qualities. hopefully since those are ps2 games their quality will be better compared to their ps3 remasters (their re6 remaster was good though)
Popular Post RedRodriguez87
Sand Master I'm stunned. Really. I never thought that THIS would end up being my all time favorite Prince of Persia game Sure, it doesn't have that slick art style and some of the cool features 2008 PoP had (oh, how I wish they could've implemented ceiling-running again) nor Sands of Time's character development and story (and I will always love what Sands of Time did for gaming in general), but in terms of what this game does right, it comes closer to perfection than any other game in the series. The combat is a perfect blend of hack'n'slash and with some acrobatic flair, the platforming is some of the trickiest and rewarding (that final climb is great), the set pieces are amazing (I loved ANY instance where you had to keep yourself in the air while the city below looks like a toy model). Pretty damn cool for a game that was allegedly nothing more than a tie in for a movie. Heck, I probably WILL check the movie out now.
Popular Post AJC3317
Day of the Tentacle Remastered - OCD Day of the Tentacle is a point and click style adventure by LucasArts that was first released in 1993. The remastered version contains updated graphics and developer commentary, but beyond that the versions are much the same. We follow the characters of Bernard, Hoagie, and Laverne as they travel to the mansion of Dr. Fred, under the assumption that he is going to kill Bernard's friends Green Tentacle and Purple Tentacle. When they arrive they find that Purple has mutated, due to him drinking some of the toxic sludge that Dr. Fred has pumped into a nearby river, and has visions of taking over the world. The trio must travel back in time to stop Dr. Fred from ever pumping the toxic sludge out of his lab, but while attempting to do so they end up in a time traveling snafu that leaves them all at the mansion, but at different points in time. Point and click adventure games don't need a lot of explanation. You walk around an area, picking up every single object that the game will allow you to, and you try combining those objects with every other object you find until something works. Usually the solutions are about as convoluted as you can possibly imagine, but Day of the Tentacle has a surprising amount of straightforward solutions to it's problems. There are certainly still puzzles that make you question just what was going on in the head of the designer at the time, but it was refreshing and actually challenging in it's own way to see so many obvious solutions be the correct solution. Day of the Tentacle also doesn't have a traditional hint system. Rather, the game is cleverly designed so that visual and audio clues will be scattered throughout the game itself. It forces the player to pay attention to the environment, and examine each object closely, as you never know when one of the characters may reveal the players' "ah-ha!" moment. If there was anything negative to say about the gameplay of Day of the Tentacle, it's that the game is somewhat over designed, which is odd for a game more than 20 years old. That was the style of point and click adventure games back then however, so you often get many unnecessary options to use to interact with an object. For example, you can choose to "open", "pull", or "use", a desk drawer, all of which result in the same action. Also, clicking on an object just isn't enough of a commitment for the game to think you want to use it. You can click an object to walk to it, but then you must click a different button to actually use it. Thankfully, point and click adventure game designers agree that these were flaws, and we don't see them as much in newer versions of the genre. Where Day of the Tentacle truly shines is in it's humor. The game is downright hilarious. Every line is delivered with fantastic timing, and every situation ends in a laugh. Even a man attempting suicide becomes a funny moment in a still tasteful way. The character animation does it's part in bringing out the humor as well, especially the characters faces as they may give a sly smile when they've tricked another character, or raise their eyebrows at the screen to acknowledge that they just saw what the player saw. There is quite a bit of slapstick comedy as well which has a very similar style to the old Looney Toons cartoons. Characters eyes will bug out when surprised, they will fall through the ground, and steam will be released from their ears when they're hot. It all works extremely well together. Day of the Tentacle is a giant in the point and click adventure genre, and with good reason. Over 20 years later it still holds up and can go toe to toe with anything the genre currently has to offer. The puzzle solutions will make you feel smart about yourself, while simultaneously not requiring you to melt your brain to attempt the most out their solutions you can come up with. And the comedy the game has to offer is what truly sets it apart. If you're like me, a fan of the point and click game who had never played one of the godfathers of the genre, do yourself a favor and pick this one up.
