Popular Post IronMask75
#10 - Nubla PlantiniumYou have been awarded the platinum trophy. Platinum Difficulty: 0/10 Platinum Enjoyment: 4/10 This weird game is sort of a rite of passage for trophy hunters. Why not? Can't knock back a free Platinum. So when I saw it on sale a short time ago for $7.55au I had to grab it. Probably play it with a guide though so you don't miss collectables like I did and have to play it again because there's NO DAMN CHAPTER SELECT! At least it only takes 30 mins to run through after you know what you're doing. The only redeeming feature of this game is the art style. There were some beautifully painted scenes and calming music, but this didn't make up for the fact the controls were quite clunky and dropping and picking up items made for a frustrating experience. The puzzles were pretty easy, and though each of the children have different abilities, there's no reason to play through with any of the others, which I think was a missed opportunity. I also wasn't a fan of the slow walking speed. Conclusion: Get it on sale for 20 quick easy trophies, soak in the atmosphere, then move on.
Popular Post Lars
#75: Ratchet and Clank HD Another great game in one of my favorite series, only All 4 One left now and then i have all the platinums. These games were my favorite for a long time, Up Your Arsenal is still my favorite, i must say though that the clank sections were always my least favorite parts, i really enjoy the combat and the strong weapons, and you also feel that you're getting stronger, that is also what could make the game boring, because some of the weapons, not even the RYNO, are so overpowered that it isn't fun anymore. And then you get the RYNO and that is to much, it is so strong that it isn't fun to use. And they could better have not bothered with the first level after you buy a omega weapon because you only have to kill 2 enemies and you level up for the first time already. But for the rest, great game, good weapon variety, and an easy platinum Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 Edited October 4, 2016 by lars9612

The remastered game is certainly easier on the PS4, still does require some skill to get gold in all the events but nothing too hard with a bit of practice. Very much now looking forward to Gravity Rush 2 and discovering the unanswered questions on Kats origins. Popular Post minh2t
Platinum #86: Overwatch: Origins Edition Tried the game for the first time during the Free Weekend event they did a couple weeks ago and got completely hooked. After the event, the game was on my mind and I craved to play some more (Have to say, that's some pretty effective marketing on me). The game is honestly very fun, especially if you're playing with friends, I got to understand all the hype around this. The trophies were very hard for most, very situational, kind of have to be at the right place at the right time. They felt good though, every time you manage to obtain a single bronze trophy, it felt really rewarding. The trophies also forced me to try and understand every character which I think is a great approach. I wouldn't recommend this game if you're looking for a 100% complete profile, the trophies can be very frustrating if you don't have any patience and most likely Blizzard will add new characters in the future along with new trophies. Favorite characters: Mercy, Roadhog, Junkrat Heroes never die!
Popular Post MStalker58
#115 Red Faction: Armageddon For the most part, Red Faction: Armageddon is an average run-of-the-mill third person shooter with a "meh" story, not so great graphics, and sometimes bland level design. However, the one major bright spot which provided the most fun in the game was the destructible environments and some of the weapons you can use to create havoc on the world. In particular, the Magnet Gun offers all kinds of fun and is a creative tool of destruction. Basically, you attach one magnet to an item or enemy and then another to something else and then watch them fly towards each other. It's an easy way to destroy entire buildings or send enemies flying to their death. Unfortunately, I'm guessing the fact that almost everything is destructible is part of the reason some of the levels are so bland and repetitive. Why put a lot of detail into the levels and objects if they are just going to be destroyed anyways. Also, the environment can be annoying at times when it's used against you. There were several times where I'd be right in the middle of combat, where you are usually looking up due to aliens jumping all over the walls and ceilings, only to have the ground destroyed underneath me. The result was usually death or at the least having to re-climb several floors of a building. Overall a decent game with some fun aspects but nothing great. If you see it in a flash sale and are just in the mood to destroy things or kick some alien ass, it might be worth your time. If you are expecting much more, will probably be disappointed.
Popular Post DamagingRob
#176- Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse Ultimate Adventurer Tracked down all trophies What do hippies, goats, sausage dynamite, and nude paintings have in common? They're all in this game and more! Doesn't that just make you want to drop everything and play this? I have never played any of the past Broken Sword games, but I was still able to enjoy this. Your standard point-and-click adventure, with puzzles to solve, and a pretty good story. And some really funny stuff, along the way. Platinum image: It might actually be better to save a trophy for this one, otherwise this is gonna be what you have to look forward to as a Platinum image; a black screen before the credits start rolling. P. S. If it wasn't for our star's fear of goats, they'd never get cast. Bring on the "wrath etc. etc. etc." you goat! I've already conquered Flappy Goat, what more can you do?

Popular Post Dr_Mayus
#189-LittleBigPlanet 3 So I wasn't going to pick this game up because as much as I love LBP2 and LBPV I wasn't really excited about a new one. Well it went down to 5 bucks on a flash sale so I picked it up and I am glad I did. The levels were really clever, the music was AWESOME and the extra characters were good. The negatives are simply this. It is really, really short. I mean you can speed run the game in less than 2 hours (which for 5 bucks is fine but if I paid full price I would have been upset). Also the Online is completely broken. I tried to play with multiple people and it was always crippling lag. It was so bad that Yuri and I couldn't do more than a couple of levels before we had our characters hovering all over the place. The worse part is the game makes you play Co-Op for each level but that is impossible to do so your only bet is to play offline with a second controller...super fun if you live alone. On top of that you have to host all the levels yourself or the game won't count it as a win which means that if you played one level with a friend and the rest offline you better remember which one you played with the friend or you won't earn the trophy. So yeah, really fun game marred by a terrible online.

This was the first time I played this game.....I bought it back in my PS2 days but was never in a rush to play it after I'd played DMC2....plus I was probably a bit intimidated by how how hard they said it was. Wasn't actually too bad until I got to Mission 18 on Very Hard...DMD was even okay, for the most part, but was just annoying how much abuse the demons could take before they went down. Anyway, awesome game.....wish they'd either give us a new game already!!

Popular Post Sergen
Street Fighter IV: Platinum #88 It's about time I did this. This is my longest platinum time stamp currently for a game, with a time of 2 years, 11 months. I'm glad I finally ended up doing this game. For someone like me who is a noob at fighting games, I had a lot of difficulty with some of these trials, mainly C. Viper's 3rd and 5th hard trial, El Furte's 5th hard trial, Gen's 5th hard trial and Ken's 5th hard trial. At the start, I wasn't familiar with the fighting game terminology such as terms like "QCF" and "FADC" but now I'm fully aware of what someone is talking about when they write their strategy for games like this. I didn't hate this game, but I also didn't enjoy it much, a lot of it is very repetitive, especially doing all survival and time attack levels and beating arcade mode with all characters. For the non-trial related offline trophies, you can mainly just spam Zangief's lariat which combines all 3 punch buttons into one move that does a lot of damage to opponents and barely ever misses them. I did the hard trials before normal trials because I wanted to get the hard part over and done with and after doing all hard trials, the normal trials were a breeze. I mostly hated using charge characters in trials and combos that required me to use an ultra and catch Dan in the air with it, there aren't many things more annoying than getting to the very end of the combo to miss the ultra at the end of it. I did this game with a regular controller, I don't have a fight stick and I don't think a fight stick is necessary for getting the platinum on this game, heck you may even make the game take longer for yourself if you buy a fight stick solely for this game without ever using one before. When using the controller, I used the d-pad for special move inputs, the analog stick is way too inaccurate and unhelpful. The online for this game requires you to do a lot of things to get all the icons and titles associated with it, the longest part of the online is the fact that you need to win 501 matches as a requirement for titles and icons, even though the trophy list says you only need to play 500 matches. The online is pretty much impossible to do without boosting this year because it is severely dead and some of the requirements put you at a disadvantage against your opponent, such as "win 50 matches with 0-10% health remaining". I'll probably do Super Street Fighter IV and more fighting games in the future when I have cleaned up my trophy list backlog. This game and Gran Turismo 5 were the games that had me most concerned about my completion rate for a while, now I've done them both. I think Gran Turismo 5 is still a much more difficult platinum than SF4, but I'm also quite bad at racing games too. Popular Post Myu
#49 Psycho-Pass : Mandatory Happiness This game is really not worth 40 euros. The plot and the new characters are not interesting and I lost patience after about a quarter of the game. The only thing I found entertaining was the 2048 mini-game. #50 Dragon's Crown I still don't know how I managed to get Legendary strike but I'm petty happy about this trophy icon as my 50th plat.
Popular Post AJ_Radio
#40: Everybody's Gone to the Rapture (September 28th, 2016) Difficulty: 2/10 Excitement: 6.5/10 Quite an interesting walking simulator game. This has you walking around rural England sometime in the 1980s. Along the journey you learn a little of the personalities of the cast, although you never actually get to see their physical forms. What starts out as a possible flu outbreak becomes much more interesting as you move through the five set locations. The visuals are good for a walking simulator. Music soundtrack is excellent and gives a feeling of both innocence and horror. Each character has their charm and it was a joy exploring. The trophies needed for the platinum were both good and annoying. There is one where you have to put your controller down for several minutes, another one requires the player to activate all 'orange' radios before doing anything else. Unfortunately since I am generally not good with walking simulators I had to do multiple restarts to grab all the collectibles. Thankfully I only needed to trigger the conversations, I didn't need to wait until they ended. My real complaint and why the excitement rating is a bit low is it takes a long while to walk from the beginning of the game to the ending. This game is short, but so much time could of been spared if my character could run quicker. It makes absolutely no sense why I have to hold down the R2 button to get my character to start 'running' (in reality just a very fast walking speed). The trophy that requires using ALL the back paths to return to the previous area was annoying and I just felt it was ridiculous the developers couldn't just have added a run button that is immediate. My finger really started to hurt by the time I earned the platinum because I held the R2 button for what felt like hours. Plus having to start New Game to get the other collectibles because it would be quicker than running all the way back to Yaughton.Still, I recommend this game because it is beautiful to look at and I feel the story is quite decent, touching on subjects not commonly found in games. Definitely worth looking into if one happens to enjoy walking simulators. #41: Teslagrad (September 30th, 2016) Difficulty: 5/10 Excitement: 7/10 This was a strange one. I've played a lot of platformers during my life but none of them have quite been like Teslagrad. This is also quite possibly the first videogame I've played in which there is absolutely no text or speech throughout the actual gameplay. I was so confused by what was going on storywise that I had to look this one up on Wikipedia.Basically you play as a young boy who runs off into a tower which you must collect all 36 scrolls to learn about the conflict. Every single trophy in the game is tied to the scrolls. In the beginning you are not left with much but as you progress you will earn gadgets that will enable the player to bypass certain obstacles. This game has a lot of obstacles and a number of them are quite tricky. One scroll (one of the gold trophies) has you using the cloak with just the right timing to enable the boy to go up and grab it. Another scroll (another gold trophy) you must obtain by flying upwards while using the 'Flash' ability to get past the electric barriers. This one alone took me a good 35 - 50 minutes before I finally obtained it, because one mistake will have you start all over.My issue with this game is I still didn't quite understand the story by the end of it. I obtained all trophies without looking at the credits, so there must of been something I had to do in order to actually end the game. Teslagrad was strange and peculiar. It is pure platforming and I had to get good with the red and blue blocks. Some puzzles require you to turn red blocks into blue ones, and vice versa. The spider robots were definitely annoying as they would give me a blue outline which if I was within a line of blue circles I would be sent to my death. Often times I would be perplexed with what to do next, in one area I had to make two blocks red and blue so they would be attracted, then turn one of those blocks blue so it would send me up high enough to jump up and grab the scroll. All in all this was fun. It's criminally short but I feel that's okay because if the developers decided to add another "electric barrier" puzzle I would probably get very frustrated. #42: Orc Slayer Difficulty: 2/10 Excitement: 2/10 So I will admit, I am guilty of buying certain games (Aab's Animals) that are 100 percent purely for the trophies. Not because I enjoy them, not because I would recommend them to anybody I know, in person or online, but because of the trophies alone.Orc Slayer is that game, and what everybody has said about it is true. It sucks. My experience is somewhat better than others because my game came with a patch when I bought it online on PSN. But even then, it didn't really seem to do much of anything as bugs and glitches were rampant throughout the game.Just to name a couple:- Orcs getting stuck both in groups and alone. How can an orc get stuck by itself? It makes absolutely no sense.- A little slowdown at times when the game shouldn't of had any slowdown. I never got the out of sync sound and music other people had when they played this game, but they were probably playing it before the patch came out.Anybody who has beaten this game knows the rest and I won't bother to mention them here.Music was okay, but as far as genres go Orc Slayer is a piss poor first person shooter. There are a small number of weapons in this game but really the only choice is the crossbow with the plain old bolts. Fire and Lightning bolts help a little but aren't necessary at all, they're a complete waste to add skill points onto. Defense, Firing Speed and increasing the strength of the bolts are the only ones worth spending points. The story sounded as if a ten year old kid made it up in a few minutes time. Basically you go from a small town to a castle and eventually a swamp. You have your standard orcs and then you have the big orcs with shields, the orcs who cast spells, the exploding pig barrels, the flying pigs who shoot balls of green light, the skeleton orcs and the creepy crawlies. Nothing too far out of the ordinary, but the two pig enemies are pathetic. Many times I had orcs spawn right within my general space and then I would have to backtrack a little to get myself in a good position. What killed me and is probably what kills most people is Orc Slayer is tedious. You just hold the fire button (R2) and aim for headshots, sit there for a few minutes while 50 to 100 orcs and other enemies perish. That's pretty much the gameplay right there. Nothing else is around, every level you just hold that fire button and let the orcs line up. This is one of those rare times where I actually feel the money I spent to buy a game was wasted. I have no idea how this pile of crap even became available for the PS4. Orc Slayer looks like something from the N64/PS1 era of gaming, that isn't good. This game is so boring, it's very short but by the time you enter the swamp area you just wish it was over.Apart from two stages where you have to fight a boss Orc Slayer has you fighting wave upon wave of orcs while the black obelisks are spawning them. So again, let them line up and allow the crossbow do the work, since it has infinite ammo. This game kind of reminds me of Chex Quest, only that game was more enjoyable for me.The two out of ten excitement rating isn't an exaggeration, it's honesty. Only buy Orc Slayer purely for that easy platinum. Otherwise avoid at all costs. Edited October 5, 2016 by Spastic
