Popular Post playdemos1
#79 - Dust: An Elysian Tail Enjoyment: 5/10 Difficulty: 4/10 This game is good but could be better. I will explain. The story it's not bad, we don't have a lot of characters that have some special role, most of them are only for sidequests and I understand that but the final enemies in every chapter are kind of not developed, we just met them and we kill them, it's not like we saw them before... I am that kind of guy that like to see the villains acting and so that give me a purpose to kill them. The game have some 3D aspects with 2D action, hummm I mean the scenarios try to look 3D but sometimes it's confuse where to jump correctly. The game should have more cutscenes and less dialog, I found it sometimes quite boring because there was so many text... The final boss it's quite hard actually, nothing compared to the arena times, that I found quite easy... the boss problem is that his life is huge, than x4... cmon guys... I used 3 revives... and add some normal enemies there, because if was only the boss but no let's add more enemies and his attack his f*cking overpowered... 3 projectiles that act like bombs? spamming that 3 in 3 seconds in my direction? -.- The thing that kind of frustrate me in this kind of games it's the spam of enemies re-entering in a scenario... I found it dumb makes no sense what can I do... if they add time to the respawn and the area get cleared for some time but no, the enemies appear out of nowhere like RKO aahahahh The good aspects are the animation, elements like thunder are quite cool... the scenarios are detailed, there's a lot of distinct creatures and kind of enemies, the skills that we learn through time are cool as well and having some characters to rescue from other games are something very interesting, good idea

Popular Post monkeydluffy512
#195 Master of the Universe Saturday Morning RPG I loved the many references to a lot of the things I enjoyed while growing up. Totally hated the repetitive gameplay, the constant "sticker scratching", the super long grind to level 50, and the incomplete story.
RyokuHD
#87 (PSNP shows only 84) Agent 47 Hitman GO Easy platinum trophy, but I needed a break from all the tense games I've been playing lately. Plus, I got it on sale for $4, can't really argue with that. Edited October 26, 2016 by FriedRyce

Popular Post Cake
#80 Megadimension MasterCompleted Neptunia VII! Enjoyment: 6/10 Difficulty: 2/10 Not my favorite Nep game, I thought the gameplay changes was pretty bad. The story was good, but sometimes I found myself skipping dialogue that was running way too long and I wanted to get back to the action. The Card Master trophy was 6 hours of pure hell. Not a fan of luck based trophies, no more trophies of this type in any future games please.

SoapMacTavish222
Well umm, I noticed that my last platinum was 3 weeks ago and I had to feed my addiction so I got a 25 Euro card from Play Asia and downloaded the EU version of RocketsRocketsRockets, Albedo, and Nubla (Not available in the NA PS Store) and platinumed all 3 of them in less than 24 hours. I was so busy working on Rise of the Tomb Raider since it has 125 trophies that the platinum game fell a little behind. So anyway, #217 RocketsRocketsRockets, #218 Nubla, and #219 Albedo: Eyes From Outer Space. I do realize this makes me a huge trophy whore since I had already earned platinums from the NA store for both Rockets and Albedo......but I just couldn't help myself.

I understand your issues, but I felt that they actually enhanced the experience, rather than detracted from it. The campaign was relatively short but truly satisfying, and I never felt frustrated or bored by what was happening. It ticked most of the boxes for what I expect from a quality indie title. Horses for courses I guess.

Popular Post AJ_Radio
So unfortunately I have lost the flash drive that contained the platinum trophies popping up for inFamous First Light and Duke Nukem 20th Anniversary. Since I am not at my house at the moment I will go ahead and post this anyway since it's a bit overdue. #43: inFamous First Light (October 8th, 2016) Difficulty: 4/10 Excitement: 8.5/10 Solid exclusive title from Sucker Punch Productions. While some people may argue inFamous First Light was somewhat of a fan service game due to the success of inFamous Second Son, I for one was happy and satisfied with this stand alone. You play as Fetch who has been captured by DUP and Augustine. She is then forced to tell her story of how she loved and ultimately lost her brother. Along the way Fetch comes across a man who eventually betrays her and a woman known for hacking. In the end, Fetch knows the true feelings of losing a brother. I enjoyed this game from beginning to finish. There was never a dull moment at all and for once in my lifetime, the collectibles were NOT in any way annoying or tedious. The neon spray paint option was excellent, and gathering all the other collectibles throughout the city of Seattle to increase the powers of Fetch was fun in itself. The challenges were a nice touch and serve as the meat and potatoes of the game. There are rescue challenges and survival challenges, most of the trophies for First Light are obtained here. The challenges start off easy with only thugs to deal with for the Alpha Rescue Challenge, but as you progress through them they gradually become more and more difficult. In Gamma Survival you're not only dealing with DUP troopers with rock shields and heavy armor, you're also dealing with Eugene's demons. By wave 30 it becomes tough to avoid all the gunfire and projectiles, so a neon singularity becomes a necessity at this point. Nothing too complicated or challenging, but perhaps a tad too much for overly casual gamers. Still, it's fun, the satisfaction of killing off 25 - 30 enemies with one neon singularity never gets dull. My one gripe about inFamous First Light is it's too short. The story of this game could of been fleshed out more and it's easy to see it was pushed aside to make way for the challenges. I beat the story with a fraction of the time it took me to beat the storyline of inFamous Second Son. Very good game and one I would recommend for trophy hunters. #44: Duke Nukem 3d 20th Anniversary World Tour (October 12th, 2016) Difficulty: 2/10 Excitement: 8/10 There are many memories to be had in this game. In January of 1996 I was a seven year old kid who learned how to navigate around Windows 95 and DOS Prompt. One day my dad brought home a game called Duke Nukem 3D. Somebody at work copied the files onto a disk for my dad to get. He installed it on Windows 95. Since I had already beaten Duke Nukum (Apogee was afraid of a copyright issue from the makers of the 1990s cartoon Captain Planet, which had a villain named Duke Nukem) and Duke Nukem 2 I was very eager to play this then new game. Soon afterwards I was hooked. Then my mother caught me giving money to a stripper in the second level of the first episode, and banned me from playing any more Duke Nukem. I found my way around it, and pretended to do homework when my mother was in the same room. Long story short, I love this game. Few games have reached the legacy and appeal of Duke Nukem 3D. It is everything you enjoy about modern first person shooters, only more simplified and to the point. If you don't understand the appeal and purpose of Duke Nukem 3d, then I won't bother saying them. My gripe and the reason why my score is an eight and not a nine or better is more to do with the price tag. Gearbox has NOT treated the Duke Nukem series with respect, in fact they removed the Megaton Edition from all platforms including the first two titles (which were side scrolling platformers). $19.99 is asking for too much for a 20 year old game. It is in fact more expensive than Megaton Edition was and while it has a brand new episode, it doesn't include the other episodes like the Caribbean episode, which I would of loved to see. Thankfully I bought all the essential Duke games off of GOG.com (Good Old Games) onto my PC computer long before they were taken away. I also felt Jon St John was simply not willing to voice his classic character for the new episode. I assume that 20 years have passed since his last adventures (not counting the console titles and Duke Nukem Forever) because he sounds much older and not as badass as he used to be. While Jon St John did age a good bit during those 20 years, I felt he could of done a better job. But all in all if you're a Duke fan then definitely pick up this edition. It is everything you loved about Duke back in the 1990s and it may bring some nostalgic memories. The trophy list is extremely easy and cheats do not disable trophies (although you can't use cheats in Damn Im Good difficulty), making this a very quick platinum if you are a speed runner. #45: Jak II (October 15th, 2016) Difficulty: 5/10 Excitement: 6.5/10 There is a bit of controversy surrounding this game. Some people like it, while others don't. I tend to be on the fence with this one. Jak II continues where the last game left off and Jak and company find themselves being sucked through a portal to land in a city. Jak is seen by guards while Daxter runs away. Two years pass and Jak is now a talking protagonist, and the adventure starts. The game has all the platforming elements the original had. The big draw however is the new environment and the weapons Jak obtains, which he doesn't get right away. There are many gripes with this game and anybody who has played the entirely of it knows where I'm coming from. The consistency is all over the place. Many missions are either very easy or a bit difficult. Checkpoints are there for some missions, but in many there are none at all. Missions continue the story of the game smoothly. You meet many new characters who are intriguing and promising. A love triangle starts to happen nearly midway through the game. Krew runs a bar and gives Jak new weapon mods. Sig proves himself to be a worthy companion and trustworthy individual. There are characters that show character development which I hardly ever found at all in the first Jak game and certainly lacking in the third title. Story wise Jak II is in my opinion the best. Mission consistency as far as game play goes is lacking. Haven City was designed in a way where you are bound to hit obstacles and crash at any time. This is my biggest problem with Jak II and it's very obvious Naughty Dog at the time wanted to make a game that was open world in structure. While this seemed good on paper, it was executed poorly. Any contact with Krimson guards almost guarantees a chase scene, where it's a race to escape and pray to yourself they won't kill you before you reach your next mission start point. This was simply filler and nothing else. It extends the time needed to beat Jak II and a few hours easily could of been shaved off if Haven City was designed better. The missions themselves are a hit or miss. The early missions are more than doable for the average gamer and you get to relearn Jak's abilities from the first game plus the new weapons. However as the game progresses Naughty Dog decided they weren't going to add checkpoints for most of the missions. There are checkpoints, but there are only a few scattered throughout all the later missions. Escorting three guys through the sewers to obtain a certain item from a statue is one such mission. When you are ambushed by metal heads, you have to be careful. If anybody dies, it's start over from the beginning of the mission. No checkpoint. This comes into play much more frequently fighting Krimson guards on the way to fight Krew. It was easily the hardest mission for me throughout the entire game as the Krimson guards were accurate, die once and you may have to repeat several minutes of gameplay. There is one checkpoint in this mission, but the rest of it is a little unforgiving. If you didn't learn the jump, spin and shoot maneuver for the Blaster, then you're going to have a hell of a time with this mission. It's slow going and quite lengthy, you're bound to die a few times in this mission. Weapons are convenient, but in tough situations I found myself using the Blaster more than anything else (jump with X, spin with O, fire with R1). The Scatter gun is good in the early game but loses it's usefulness later on. The Vulcan Gun is simply like the Blaster, but less useful and only real good if you have no ammo for the other guns. The Peace Maker is powerful but ammo is scarce, making it not as useful as the Scatter gun or Blaster. Last but not least, the minigames and Precursor Orbs. The designers did not think this one through. First off, you have roughly 100 orbs scattered throughout all the major areas in the game, in very obscure places, and the rest have to be collected on the minigames. The minigames are TOUGH. I am not kidding. I took a crack at the shooting ranges for the Blaster and Scatter gun. I was able to obtain a Bronze rating for both without too much trouble, but obtaining Gold requires top notch precision and very fast reflexes. The targets move far too quickly on the screen and it's very difficult to keep up with all of them. It's far too easy to simply hit an innocent target and therefore screw yourself out of that Gold score, even if you did perfect beforehand. Other minigames, same deal. The times required to finish the races are much too stressful and I am still baffled at how people were able to get all 286 Precursor Orbs legit. Like most of anybody else who has Jak II's platinum I used the precursor glitch, because I was most certainly not going to spend an extra 10 - 30 hours trying over and over to get every single orb legit. Plus, the final area of the game has seven orbs and they HAVE to be collected in one go, you cannot return there after you have beaten the game's story. Since I already screwed myself in getting those, the glitch was the only surefire option. Jak II does not track how many orbs you've collected in a certain area either, which makes the purpose of getting them legit even more pointless than it already is. The Precursor Legacy made it convenient enough to list how many orbs you've obtained and how many you have left, in any given area. I obtained every single one of them without ever looking up a guide. Jak II? You may as well watch that video or guide if you want to collect them all legit, because you're not going to find all of them on your own. All in all though, Jak II is NOT as difficult as people make it out to be. The Vita version is probably a different story, but the PS3 version runs smoothly and I had no hiccups throughout my time playing. The story was good and Daxter most certainly did his job well as a comic relief sidekick. Edited October 27, 2016 by Spastic

Popular Post xMissFantasy
#103 All trophies acquired. Hats off! Finally finished! I absolutely effing love Bloodborne. It gave me a run for my money but I DID IT! I'll be buying the DLC soon but I think I'll start another play through for the time being. I also hope I get that sweet ass theme.. Anyone who gets the platinum should get it. No questions asked, no bs. This shit was seriously tough and I did about 95% of it solo. I've only platinumed Dark Souls 2 (PS3) but I do want to get DS2 for PS4 at some point. I can at least start DS3 now that it's been sitting all wrapped, waiting patiently to be played since June

Popular Post voodoo_eyes
#144 - Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus Had a lot of fun with this one. Action packed hack'n'slash, that has the pretty much only problem of being interrupted constantly by silly conversations between the girls, which ends up slowing down gameplay (even though the convos are skippable) . Other than that it's pure fun. All have different fighting styles, weapons and specials which gives the game enough variety to not get boring to quickly. It's also one of those games perfectly suited to play on the go, as the battles are fairly short and progress can be saved once they are completed. Only other annoying thing is the camera at times, usually in an area that has a roof. It kind of likes to get stuck, as does the character due to the roof not letting it jump to dodge out of the way. Overall a good game though. Enjoyment: 8 Difficulty: 3

Indeed. I had researched why during my 2nd playthrough, and that's exactly why. At least some scenes were different based on choice. One thing that annoyed me was getting killed in an area I haven't done a lockdown for, so I respawn miles away, but it was a minor issue.
