This is my first time playing a Saints Row game and sadly I didn't enjoy it that much. The story was okay, but really short. It had a few fun moments here and there, but nothing special. If there's anything I dislike the most when going for a platinum, it's doing a cleanup. Guess what? After the story of SR all you do is a huge, HUGE cleanup. It's just side missions, challenges and collecting over a 1000, YES A 1000 COLLECTIBLES. Luckily those where displayed on the map, but still. Ughh.

 

Although, not everything was that bad. The gameplay was fun. Loved that you could travel really fast by using your super powers. Also the random shit that occured was fun sometimes (I'm talking about you Professor Genki). Weapons were extremely OP when maxed out. 

 

Honestly, I think this game is more suitable for people that want to just mess around. Nothing more and nothing less. Just having fun destroying everything. The road to platinum however was quite a chore and wasn't really a great experience. Glad I'm done with it though. Might have to think twice before starting any new Saints Row game. We'll see. 

 

 

 #142: Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance

First time I've ever played a Metal Gear game and I absolutely loved it! The story was decent, the gameplay was absolutely kicking ass and the music was amazing! 

 

The VR missions were surprisingly easy imo. I've heard from a lot of people that the VR missions were the difficult spike this game provided, but I had no problems with them. Most of the VR missions took me a few tries. Some VR missions were even completed on my first attempt! The only one I struggled a bit with, was VR #18. Even though that was the hardest, it still took like 1-2 hours at max. So it definitely wasn't as bad as I expected it to be.

 

The toughest part about this platinum was getting a 'S' rank on all mission on Revengeance Mode. I've made it a huge mistake that made it a million times harder than it actually was though. Everytime I started a new playtrough, I chose new game instead of continue. Figured that'd make sense since you're starting a new game. I expected that continue would just start up the final boss again (Most games do this). So when I started doing my S rank on Revengeance I absolutely got destroyed. It took me hours to just beat one level. After watching people see doing those S ranks I saw that they all had fully upgraded gear and unl. Jack the Ripper mode, which surprised me a lot. Then I realised there was a NG+! So after that I just did a speedrun on normal and started doing the S rank run with fully upgraded Gear. And boy, what a huge difference it was! To my surprise it was really, really easy attaining S ranks with upgraded Gear. The only struggle for me was doing the Monsoon fight without getting hit. Honestly, he wasn't even that tough. He just got extremely lucky. Literaly every time I got hit at the very, very end. It was quite frustrating, but felt so good once I had beaten him flawlessly.

 

All in all great experience. Definitly one of my more favorite games so far. Can't stop listening to the sound tracks too, they are really good. Mistrals theme is by far my favorite one.

 #143: Hitman GO

Didn't really expect much from this 'simple' game, but it turned out to be quite fun. Most of the levels were easy, but some were pretty challenging to figure out.

 

One thing I absolutely loved about this game was the references they made to previous Hitman Games. Some levels were based on the levels from previous Hitman Games, so it was fun seeing those coming back. Brought back some memories about the previous games 

 

One thing I hated though was the camera-angle sometimes. For example, there's a clear road ahead. I'm pressing four times up, and on the third time it randomly switches to another camera angle. Then I instantly move to another directer, which result in getting killed sometimes or messing up the objectives.

 

Altogether it's a fun platinum. I've heard there's going to be a Lara Croft Go as well. When that one will be on sale, I'll probably pick it up.

and with this platinum, i done with this awesome trilogy again on ps4 this time around.  and oh my, what a ride!

 

not gonna lie to show everyone how hardcore or how skilled i am.... ( I'M NOT GONNA TOUCH THOSE CHEAP ASS BRUTAL DIFFICULTIES EVER AGAIN ) and yes, i made a mistake and done all three games brutal difficulty legitimate! no eddy's golden gun pre-order crap "bought my copy used and i don't pre-order my games", no chapter select glitch and no one shoot kill tweak, just like the doctor order, put the game on the machine and play it natural.

 

i disliked these brutal difficulties to the very end but if i say i did enjoy them to some degree somehow then this is the order where i liked them

 

1. Uncharted 2's ( i think must be because this game is naturally fun to play compared to the other two in the collection )

 

2. Uncharted 3's ( this is almost the most broken game in the collection, the hit detection is really bad "don't remember them this bad on ps3", Nathan is true to the name of the blind fire is so blind and can't hit a target so close to him during blind firing, and i think they add more invisible walls in this version, because i wasted a lot's of ammo on enemies who's behind covers where i'm sure i shot their heads everytime they take a peak and nothing happen. but the reason why i put this after U2 is because the " shooting the enemies from corners " which was also on the first Uncharted games have returned here and boy it saved me in a lot's of parts )

 

3. Uncharted DF's ( this have the worst and most unforgiving Brutal of all three games, the jeep part is luck based, the cover system is really bad "mostly will result your death", Nathan run like an old woman even in the heat of battles, the water jet ski parts is no fun even on the ps3 version on crushing, the health regenerate takes forever to heals you back. and let's not forget about the last chapter where Nathan stand still and got killed after the QTE of the explosion on the ship )

 

the speed run parts is at least fun to me even though i hate speed running through the games i'm enjoying, if i wanna rate them then this is my opinion

 

1. Uncharted DF ( this is the most uncharted game i enjoy speed running through it, Nathan run so slow but you can speed things up by shooting from the hip while running, problem solved! )

 

2. Uncharted 2 ( it's ok-ish to me for speed running, you just have to learn how to solve the puzzles real quick )

 

3. Uncharted 3 ( it's the least enjoyable of the three, there's a lot's of unskippable cut scenes and a lot's of walking simulator parts. it felt that Uncharted 3 isn't made for speed running in the first place, you play it to shoot bad guys, follow the story and look at the jaw dropping graphics that still holds up really strong even for today standard )

 

i have nothing to plat right now except this mayo game which i bought for $0.84!! let me see how fast i can plat that ga..... that Application. 

 

nice job on brutal. one day i'll attempt it the non-legit way, but i preordered the collection and never got the gold weapons, so rip

#118 - Jak II on PSVita (53rd plat of 2016) - 12.06% RATE

 

This is one of those games that I have a real love/hate relationship with.  I love the game and the story for the most part but some of the missions are just awful to play and add to that some badly designed controls on the port for the PSVita.  But overall a solid game and if you have never played Jak or Jak II you really should.  On difficultly even with the glitch to give you invincibility from the start (http://psnprofiles.com/forums/topic/43053-jak-2-secrets-glitch) and the glitch go farm the orbs this is still a hard enough game on the PSVita to complete.

 

Overall 7/10 enjoyment with a 6/10 for difficultly taking me 20+ hours to complete

Platinum #66- Jak & Daxter: The Precursor Legacy

 

2 plats in one day is pretty uncommon for me. Anyway, this game was a ton of fun, a 3D action adventure/platformer/collectathon game of the PS2 era? You're hitting a lot of areas I like. Moving onto II tomorrow, and I hear that it and III are though as lesser titles. Still, I'm gonna go in with an open mind.

 

 

Hope you enjoy the other 2, they are definetively not to the level of the first one, they changed so much that the first one is simply the best!

But luckily for you, you're playing on Ps3 so it shouldn't be hard or annoying that much the second one to play While the Third one hoenstly is kinda Fun and interesting to do

In my opinion the second one is the worst so good luck

It was a fun roguelike RPG experience for me. The trophy requirements though... Very Grindy. Unfortunately, had to resort to (good) glitch(es) to conquer the the Ran-Geons which have most of the trophies

When the original Dishonored was released, it immediately became one of my most favourite games...The iconic assassin's mask, the supernatural powers, all combined in a FPS perspective? Nice!

 

The storyline in the original was captivating, and now the storyline was intriguing coupled with great new powers along with some refined old ones.

 

 

Also, now I can say that my Collector's Edition has been redeemed

Trophy's not that hard to achieve, even ' becomes the master ' was not that hard as many say, just practice and learn from your mistakes.

I can't imagine doing all the challenges without a guide, some of them were quite annoying even with one. Then again, I'm not very good at puzzle games like this. Visuals are really really nice. It's a neat game. Easy plat with a guide. I feel like if I had played Hitman games, the levels based on specific games [at least the ones labelled as such] would have probably gave me some sense of nostalgia, but I've never played Hitman before so it was all lost on me.

Fantastic game, it pretty much takes every aspect a good metroidvania-style game should have and improves them in its own way. Each level had its challenge that took a different approach to be solved. The use of items here are pretty much essential if you want to have an easier time (I rarely use them at the start and I just spammed my attacks, so I learned it the hard way  ). Backtracking previous levels after getting new weapons was actually fun, you could always see a different block or path to be broken or items you couldn't reach without beating a later level first, getting my way to 100% wasn't boring after all. Even the speedrun challenges, something I particularly detest in games, was enjoyable this time after learning new tricks to save time. The game also had a great soundtrack and it's full of cute girls, it definitely was a must play for me.

 

Enjoyment: 10/10

Difficulty: 5/10
