What a fantastic game. It might seem like an odd choice for #150 but I've been crocheting since 2013 so I figured a game about yarn would be apropos. The story, the atmosphere, and the soundtrack mesh perfectly for a truly unforgettable experience. Plus, Yarny is freaking adorable (I'm gonna make one!).

Wow! This was really a GREAT game, so much better than the first one (although I did like it also) and everything that one was supposed to be. DedSec member were awesome (looking at you Wrench ) and really enjoy being Marcus (even when I first saw WD2 I thought it was boing to be horrible. The hacking was so well implemented I did not get tired of it and the trophy list is really fun to achieve, I even did lots of optional stuff even there was no trophy related. I am not a fan of multiplayer but this one really got to me, I found myself looking and accepting the random events that occurred in San Francisco just for playing with other players  

Summarising: Play Watch Dogs 2, it's fun!

Man, what a rush. I've largely gravitated away from FPS since jumping ship from Xbox 3 years ago, focusing more on action adventure and RPGs. But this was an exhilarating experience from beginning to end, with many epic battles decided with only a sliver of health and a couple of rounds remaining. As with many games the challenge subsided towards the end of the journey, but it was a no less rewarding and adrenaline pumping ride for it. Awesome game that deserves all of its plaudits.

#2 - Call of Duty: Black Ops III

This game. This was the first game I picked up with my PS4 and my first COD after a two-year hiatus. Then I saw the trophy list and yeah, I was a bit intimidated but I figured I could handle it. In retrospect, it wasn't as hard as I originally perceived but as far as Plats go, this one definitely asks a lot of you. I did everything solo: the Realistic playthrough, all the accolades and the no-death Veteran run. But the toughest part is completing the Combat Immersion on Realistic difficulty. I actually finished on my third attempt but for whatever reason, the game decided that I hadn't (thank you Treyarch). Obviously I didn't manage to complete it until after another twenty or so attempts and a gradual descent into insanity. It will remain my proudest Plat for quite some time I imagine.

 

With regards to the game, I definitely enjoyed it. The campaign is extremely dark and gritty and very very original to say the least. Definitely a strange plot but it is very unlike the usual COD formula so I found it rather refreshing. I didn't form any real connection to the characters and like many games - though the plot twists were welcome - it became a bit too convoluted. However, the narrative is very strong and the writing is very believable. Zombies isn't something I've ever been hugely involved in, though I can appreciate the unique setting and the general satisfaction you can derive from this type of game mode.There is a lot of depth to it and obviously this is expanded with all the additional maps that have been introduced via DLC. Multiplayer was my thing for many years. I used to play COD almost exclusively when MW3 and BO2 came out. Initially, I loved the multiplayer but now I think I actually loved simply playing COD multiplayer again after so long, rather than the actual game itself. I wasn't engaged as long as I was with the previous games and I eventually stopped. I definitely poured in a few days worth of playing, but the maps were terrible (in my opinion) and the pace has been completely elevated. Lots of spawn-die scenarios. In MW3, I clocked a total of 33 MOABs (25 killstreak) and 6 Nuclears in BO2 (30 killstreak). But I never managed one Nuclear in this game, simply because I couldn't adapt to the hastened tempo, ergo I was never really any good haha. I suppose you can appreciate the new movement system and the subsequent verticality that comes with it, but Call of Duty is meant to be old school boots-on-the-ground shooting for me.

 

Critically, this game is very decent and there is a lot of fun to be had. But the extent to which you do is heavily dependent on your play style and I don't think many COD players managed to adapt to or welcomed the direction in which Call of Duty has now gone. Now I just need to wait for the season pass to go back on sale and then I'll hit those DLC trophies to get my 100%.

#69 - World of Final Fantasy

Definitely a must play for an final fantasy fan. The cameo appearance of FF characters throughout the series ... and the arguably lame humour that goes alone with it made the storyline a joy. Combat appears fairly simplistic at the start, but really gets challenging as you get near the end.

 

Not a particularly hard platinum ... but was a small grind at the end to obtain all the mirages. I'd recommend anyone who intends on getting this platinum to use a checklist for the treasure chests to save some pain & heartache as the game doesn't track what chest you've open.

Nothing particularly hard or challenging with this one except that it's a massive grind. Took me almost 2yrs to get the platinum as I couldn't stand all that endless RNG grinding for the skills. I also found that all training with all the masters to be dull as there really wasn't much difference switching from one to another (aside from the skills they teach you).

 

However I must admit that I did enjoy the game at the beginning. Being able to create & customise your own DBZ fighter really draws you into the "Xenoverse".

Well My First Platinum of 2017, it only took me 3 weeks, encouraging For my 115 Target before April

What to say, I'm glad i finally finished one of my PsPlus games by the huge Backlog that i have, at leats one less to worry about
The Game itself it's quite funny and original, you have to save this World using 3 Different Color guardians (Hence the name of the game) going through Levels while running, avoiding obstacles and collecting different orbs to get Stars, points and restoring the world back to his original form after that it became completely Dark and black because of the Evil Krogma who stole all the colors! So Yeah interesting story even if not That amazing of course
The gameplay is really really funny, there are 5 Words each with 10 levels to complete and a Boss Level in the end. Those boss levels, well, are honestly quite challenging compared to the normal ones but nothing too hard until the last one at least, the last form of Krogma Ugh. This Stage is SO unfair comapred to the rest of the game! I had to use the Glitch (Luckily they didn't fixed it) to beat him, especially without taking any damage, because trying normally was really pissing me off; it's so hard compared to all the other levels in the game and boss sections! The Bombs go really fast, the rollers are totally casual, you have like 3-4 Seconds to hit a Second bomb after hitting the first one and it changes colors so fast, allt his while avoiding usually 2 Bombs; It's simply ridicolous! But Oh well thanks to the Glitch and some attempts i made it! 

Talking about the Trophies is a rather Easy platinum. And the plat is a reason why i gave 0,5 points Less in my Final vote, because Some Trophies are plenty useless let's be honest! In particular i'm talking about Having to Die 500 Times, Why? Why this Trophy? It Took me 30 minutes of throwing down myself from a cliff constantly before reaching the number required and get the trophy, what's the point in such a useless grind? Anyway the Platinum is Easy nothing hard because the game itself is quite easy and i think his Percentage Show this At least it Doesn't requires to get all the Fairies and all the Stars, that would have made the game pretty challenging :3

So in the end it's a really good game and i'm Glad i got it with the PsPlus, i totally reccomend it if you're searching a short and Easy platinum or if you like This kind of gameplay which is quite unique in his genre

I bought the game at release and at the time I believe there was a rather volatile glitch that required two controllers? Not sure if there was a new one that came after that but I couldn't find any when I played it. Irrespective, I preferred to obtain it legitimately anyway

Yeah that's the one. People use it all the time, but good on you. Realistic is a bitch just with two players, dunno how you pulled through on solo!

I was skeptical at first before playing this game when I watched it's gameplay vids cause I thought the controls will be bad but after some mentioned that it's gameplay is like Guacamelee! I become very excited because I really liked Guacamelee's gameplay  And I am glad that I started it, cause I loved it. Sure, the game crash on me whenever I buy bulk War Arrows, sure, the physics in this game is quite annoying but even with those flaws, I still loved and enjoyed playing this game from start to end. It was weird though not to see Hydras, Cyclops and Medusa in a Greek theme game

 

Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Another day gaming, another Lego platinum! This marks my 53rd platinum as also my second one this year! I loved playing this one just as much as the first one as they have made this one just as fun and charming! Even though this game is a lot darker in terms of the storyline than the first game, it still has all of the Lego charm and laughs that all Lego fans know and love! I'm actually gutted that I've finished it now and I wish I had another Lego game to play as they make me feel like a child again

I swear I didn't plan on getting platinum trophies on 2 Final Fantasy games in a row, but alas...

This my first plat for 2017, and hopefully this will become a more common occurrence going forward.

Now, let's chat about this game and working through the trophy list...

I found this game to be extraordinarily fun to play, much more fun than Type-0, which was the last FF game to platinum.

First off, this game looks incredible.  The characters, the world, the monsters, even the UI looks amazing.

This game may have been 10 years in the making, but it really shows in the final product.

I think the story is really strong and interesting, and even though this still has all the Final Fantasy that you are used to (eg. Summons, Chocobos, Moogles, Cactuars, etc..), the new take on these old tropes is handled very creatively and intelligently.

One of the draw backs to this game, however, is how annoying your 3 "friends" can get over a 70 hour playthrough.

The repetitive canned dialogue that is constantly shouted from these idiots as you are running around, fishing, or even trying to sleep, gets tiresome and annoying.

When you are supposed to care for all 4 of these guys, after a while, you are hoping that something terrible will happen so you don't have to listen to these "backseat fishermen" anymore.

On the trophy side of things, this trophy list is very accessible, and the platinum is easily achieved if you are willing to put in the time.

It took me just over 70 hours to achieve that final trophy, but at least there was plenty of quests and side quests to keep you occupied as you grind your way to a higher level.

That is greatly appreciated, nothing drives me more crazy then just going out and grinding on random encounters for hours on end, when something more productive could be done.

The only problem trophy I had was getting the last one, which was to defeat the Adamantoise.

After what seemed like an hour long battle and the adamantoise down to sliver of health left, my game froze, and I had to start all over again.

That was excruciatingly frustrating and I wanted to kick my copy of this game out the window.

But, after taking a break, a second run was taken at this beast, he was defeated, and the platinum was mine.

So please, if you are a Final Fantasy fan, do yourself a favour, and get this game, you won't regret it.

That was a very great one So bad I played it now and not at the time I bought it in November... but well a great game, a great platinum on a great day

The story was really interesting but... whoops I watched a certain ED before the last one

If I had knew it I had saved the ED for last as it was very great and made me even a bit cry ;_;

All story ED's where great and some had a very huge plot twist... lol... for example my first on the "Cursed Letter" ED

Well I spend almost the whole day with this stunning game Aww I love Snappy as char still the most alongside with Biesty <- I love to use the nicknames as they are all so hilarious Especially... the Bit** one...

Well after long I can say this was a nice and worth game so yeah VN lovers would love it, but it was very short, too

Monster Jam: CRUSH IT!

 

Quite a lot of fun for a 2 hour Platinum (Just under 3 hours for me).

 

Very straightforward trophy list and a very relaxing Platinum trophy to earn. The majority of the trophies unlock in quick succession. It's one of those games.

 

It's currently on sale in the UK store but i'm not sure if it's reduced in other regions.

Dragon Fantasy: The Black Tome of Ice

 

This is an enhanced version of Dragon Fantasy Book II that was released for PS4 and it shares its trophy list with the PS3 and Vita versions. The story is the same as Book II, but it's a bit more fleshed out. There are some minor improvements to the interface and a new boss was also added to the story. I also feel there was a bit more humor to it than there was in Book II. It definitely is a more polished version of Book II and, if you have a PS4 and haven't played it, I would recommend it over the original release. My main complaint is it's still too short, even with the extras. Hopefully one day Muteki will release Book III, especially since this story ended on a cliffhanger.

I am so happy about this one! Back in October I bought this game at launch and I fell in love with it instantly, but about 2 weeks after that I got my PS4 Pro and the game looked blurry in it so I had to put it on hold until they fixed it. Everything in this game exceeded my expectations: the gameplay, the depth, the art direction, THE MUSIC……it’s all there! I’m really glad I gave it a shot and I hope the formula gets further explored because I see great potential! It could have used some greater degree of challenge and the leveling curve gets a tad steeper than it should during the last 20 levels but I still had a blast from the beginning until the clock struck platinum, 80 hours in

The Sims 3

 

It's The Sims 3. Not much else to tell. Some of the trophies are grindy and don't always pop on time, but nothing is overly difficult. I did enjoy it, though the grinds did wear on me a little bit. On another note, I don't think I'll be doing two platinums in one day again for a while. Just did it because I was bored.
