Popular Post TheFinalEmblem
Platinum #75- Tales of Berseria What an absolutely amazing game. The game's story does such an amazing job with linking it to Zestiria, and it gives a ton of information that was not only needed, but also to help expand the story of that world, and not even the main game, but the side stories also do a great job of doing so. The characters are also some of the best in Tales games, I especially loved Magilou. 150 hours of pure awesomeness. Now to play the waiting game for the next Tales game, whatever it may be. Popular Post B1rvine
Los Santos Legend from Grand Theft Auto V (PS4) So, GTA V likely needs no introduction. So I won't waste time explaining how much fun the game and what not. I will take the time though to vent about how disappointed I am that a TON of trophies are bugged in the PS4 version (and apparently the PS3 version too after googling). I was surprised at how glitchy this game was, as far as unlocking trophies, because I personally had no problems on the PS3 version. Anyway, "The Big One" story trophy, and "To Live and Die in Los Santos" story trophy for completing the game did not pop properly after finishing those missions. I had to replay both from prior saves, once for The Big Job, and about 10 times for the To Live and Die... Supposedly the solution was to watch all the cut scenes from the beginning of the mission, but who knows. And then there's Kifflom! trophy, which I must have beaten about 50 times over 3 days before it popped. Weirdly, it worked after renewing my licenses on the console, even though I could play the game just fine... Then there were several missions that did not appear and I couldn't start them even after finishing the prerequisites such as Tonya's tow truck missions not showing up after completing the one prior. For the record, none of these were my error, I'm very familiar with GTA, having played it on PS3 many many times, so these weren't cases of me forgetting something. VERY BUGGY!!! Anyway, the game is still fun, but the annoyances knock this game's fun and difficulty down and up respectively. Enjoyment : 8 / 10 Difficulty : 6 / 10
Popular Post killerJAZZ420
Nioh Great game. Personally found it to be better then souls, not a perfect comparison as id say its more like NG then Soulsborne. Either way worth the cost. Would have been smarter to wait for DLC though, As the request grind was rather pointless. Popular Post Cave Johnson
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard Biosplattered Unlock all trophies. I don't really have much to say about this one, but Resident Evil 7 was a lot better than I expected. When I first saw the demo, I thought the game was going to be some Amnesia/Outlast bullshit, which I hate. Thankfully, it wasn't like that at all (except for a few short segments like the second video tape). I still have almost all the DLC trophies to get, but I probably won't do those for a while.

Popular Post AJ_Radio
#64-66: Sound Shapes (February 9th, 2017) Difficulty: 5/10 Excitement: 6.5/10 Spoiler I will be honest, I really wanted to like this game. After playing a good number of AAA games I figured I wanted something different. Something to catch my eye. Sound Shapes was that game. Sound Shapes is an artistic style platformer with a knack for music. The game is broken up with a tutorial, a level editor, a campaign, Beat School mode and lastly Death Mode. Developed by Queasy games in 2012, it features music by I Am Robot, deadmau5 and Beck. While the music could of been better, I particularly liked how the music in a given level progressed with every note you collected. As basically a spinning ball, your goal is to reach the end (a radio/TV object you touch). Collecting notes in the tutorial and campaign aren't required, but they definitely give a vibe that showcases it's art style, something I wish would be in more games. Unfortunately I can't say too much good about Sound Shapes. While the campaign was great and featured some great music by deadmau5 and Beck, I was sorely disappointed with Beat School and Death Mode. Beat School is matching the beats of a tune, and that tune only lasts a few seconds. Here you place notes on a grid structure, and each box produces a different sound. Get a note correct, a green circle will appear on it, get the note incorrect and there will be a red X. The problem is the Beat School levels are extremely easy, and are rather lackluster. Even with wild guessing as I ended up doing with some of them, any one of the levels can easily be done in less than five to ten minutes. There are a few levels that rely on notes that produce sound over a longer range, and these levels have less notes you need to place. Still, that didn't help Beat School from being lackluster and being a bit of a unnecessary addition to what is primarily a artistic 2-D platformer. The biggest flaw, and probably what most people complain about, is Death Mode. Death Mode is a mode where a certain section of a given level (there are five albums, each ranging from three to five levels equaling 20 levels in total) is featured, and here you have to collect random notes before the timer runs out. This may of sounded like a good idea on paper, but it's execution is piss poor at best. Each and every attempt to gather every note placed throughout the Death Mode levels is random, and therefore you can beat a level in as little as one or two minutes. Or if you're unlucky, you can easily spend a couple hours or more on any given level, making this mode a serious pain. Galaxanoids was particularly a pain because I would more than often get a note on the opposite side of the level, which usually caused me to fail the level simply because the notes were placed too far away from each other. This basically means you can fail on a perfect run, regardless of how good at platformers you are. The only strategy is to wait for a good placement of notes, and that isn't really a strategy or a test of skills since it all comes down to luck. Why Queasy games thought this was a good idea was beyond me. So far there have been no plans for a sequel, or if any sequel or spirtual successor to Sound Shapes will ever get a release. That is a bit of a shame, as apart from Beat School and Death Mode I really enjoyed this game. It was a fresh breath of air, and shows that games with smaller budgets can still be fun to play. But with Beat School being boring and Death Mode being bullshit all in all, reduces my satisfaction from Sound Shapes quite a bit. Then again, with three platinums being easily accessed from all three Playstation systems with trophy support (PS4, PS3 & Vita), and Beat School featuring some of the easiest trophies you will ever get, you can't go wrong with checking out Sound Shapes to at least appreciate what the developers put into it.
Popular Post zadorvp
#315: Digimon World: Next Order (EU/NA) Digimon World Conqueror! Acquired all trophies It was great to play another Digimon World game though I wish we got a sequel to Digimon World 2 as well (and Cyber Sleuth, obviously). Didn't go for the full Digimon roster this time (I made it to 203/231 though), might work on that later if I find extra time (but I won't). The game was fun and great, but naturally it included some dull grinding as these games tend to do There were some bugs and translation errors (much better than Cyber Sleuth's though) and the AI's targeting/command following could have used vast improvements, but they don't really bring the enjoyment of the game down much. Here's hoping we get even more Digimon games in the future (I'd even welcome more ports including the original PS1 games) and doubly hoping we eventually get a game that features the likes of FlameWizardmon, CatchMamemon, TonosamaMamemon, Chuumon, and many more as partner Digimon (Chuumon has at least appeared properly as a distinct Digimon in recent Digimon games - he was even a fightable opponent Digimon in some). Special thanks to @Razza for the daily Digimon messages and good luck on your platinum journey ^^
Popular Post TheYuriG
Splinter Cell: Blacklist This game is 98% awesome, I'll get to the 2% later. Stealth routes were noticiable if you searched around, I didn't struggle with this one at all, opposed to Hitman: Absolution which I did struggle with. Completing all missions without getting noticed and without killing anyone is incredibly easy. Sadly combat (which shouldn't be ran into) is badly designed, you are incredibly easy to kill even with high armor to the point that it's a waste to invest in high armor. Just run into cover, let enemies lose track of you and stun/takedown the remaining ones. Story was pretty good even though had its "but wtf you are going to do that???" moments. MP was incredibly easy to do and boost, coop missions weren't bad even though my partner did that first (recommended second). I would like to make a thread for this game just like I did for SSX but my PC is broke atm. Now to the bad points: You need to be hostile in 7 missions for a combat mastery trophy and combat in this game is shit. Even with maxed out infirmary, your health is shit and your regen is worse. If you are smart, you are going to tackle those 7 in briggs/kobin missions and never try it in campaign because fuck this trophy. Second bad point is... I forgot but I'll edit later to add it.

Popular Post Masamune
The Ashen Chevalier Mastered Trails of Cold Steel II and earned every trophy. Well it may've taken a lot longer than it usually does (due to not having that much free time lately), but I finally got it done! The gameplay was just as good as the first (actually better because it has more characters, a world map, etc), but I did find the story a little boring, Cold Steel I kept me pretty hooked from about mid-ways onward, this one I really only got interested in a few aspects (one or two only happening at the very end of the game). The ending wasn't perfect either, although I guess it was better than ending it on a huge cliffhanger like the first one did. Difficulty: 5/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 Time Played: 82:18:35 (1 month, 5 days, 2 hours) Screenshot (nice screenshot for the Platinum, would've been better if the save menu didn't pop-up just beforehand though): Spoiler Edited February 18, 2017 by Masamune
