Popular Post AJ_Radio
Once again I'm well, very late in posting these games, as a matter of fact I got two of three Assassins Creed games in the Ezio Collection a whole month ago. But I intend to post these, to give my thoughts and opinions if anything else. # 71: Assassins Creed II PS4 (February 21st, 2017) Difficulty: 2/10 Excitement: 8.5/10 Spoiler Total playtime: 18 hours (estimate) Assassins Creed II was the first platinum I ever obtained. In the year and a half I've been trophy hunting I figured why not play it again on a newer platform. Personally I feel the Ezio Collection, for what it's really worth, is priced at too much. I paid $35 for the collection, and I only recommend it to Assassins Creed fans at that cost. Otherwise, wait until a price decrease. Just wanted to get this out of the way before I get onto the actual review. Assassins Creed II is a 2009 open world game by Ubisoft. It follows the storyline of Desmond Miles, a mid 20s assassin who was taken in by Abstergo to help them find a Piece of Eden. Otherwise known as the Templars, their main goal is to possess complete domination, and part of that goal is obtaining Pieces of Eden scattered throughout Earth. The Assassins, who in the present day storyline have been weakened enough to be forced into hiding, will try everything they can to prevent the Templars from reaching their ultimate goal. Desmond, with the help of Lucy Stillman, escape Abstergo and arrive at an Assassins hideout. There they meet Rebecca Crane and Shaun Hastings, two individuals who will help Desmond while he is in the Animus. The ancestor Desmond will be playing the genetic memories of this time around, is Ezio Auditore in Renaissance Italy. To make a long story short, Ezio's family was hunted by the Templars. As a result of betrayal, Ezio's father and two brothers are killed. Seeking help, he leaves Firenze with his mother and sister to meet with uncle Mario, an experienced Assassin who lives in a villa. Ezio then starts on his long quest to hunt down the Templars responsible for his fathers and brothers deaths. It only took me a couple hours the first time around to really get into Assassins Creed II. While I enjoyed the first Assassins Creed game, the pacing and story was horribly slow. Going about assassination missions was boring, and while the story itself was fantastic, it didn't save the medicore gameplay. Assassins Creed II makes up for that by providing more side activities and better gameplay. Ezio has more tools as his disposal than Altair did. You have your standard hidden blade, but later on you have the option to have two hidden blades, which enables double assassinations. You can throw money to distract the crowds. You have Courtesans, Thieves and Mercenaries who all have the option to distract and fight the guards. You have your sword, which in addition to daggers you can purchase better ones at the various stores. What's probably one of the coolest weapons in any open world game I've played is the hidden gun. Basically it works like the hidden blade, only Ezio can shoot enemies at a distance. Like any other open world game, Assassins Creed II has plenty of side content. There are various side quests that range from delivering a letter to a NPC to assassinating multiple targets, which is standard for an Assassins Creed game. Plenty of chests litter the landscape and towns so you should never go poor. The one collectible I like to mention however is feathers, which are basically items scattered throughout all the towns and cities. With no way to track how many there are in a given area I would suggest a video guide, as collecting all the feathers unlocks a bronze trophy. The one piece of side content that deserves mention is the Subject 16 videos. These are puzzles players must solve by studying various pictures and figuring out a pattern or finding a Piece of Eden hidden in the picture. I found these to be simply brilliant, and to this day I feel they deviate from the norm in providing a nice distraction from the main game. Long story short, this is a play on conspiracy theories that reveal the ever lasting struggle between Assassins and Templars using real historical events and photographs. Ancient history along with 20th Century history like World War II and the Vietnam War are all featured in the Subject 16 videos. What makes this interesting is the content isn't too far off from the actual conspiracy theories we often hear from conspiracy theorists. These were definitely a delight to play through. Without spoiling the story, Assassins Creed II borrows much from the Renaissance period it portrays. The Borgias, Niccolo Machiavelli, and most notably Leonardo Da Vinci. The historical figures and correlation between present day and history are what make the Assassins Creed series so fascinating. One may argue without those features, Assassins Creed II may otherwise be an average open world game with elements of stealth. I can say so much more about this game and the series, but I would be here all day and since most of us already know the series, I won't delve into that. One negative setback I found in Assassins Creed II and the next two games that follow is the jumping mechanics. A slight push of the control stick may and will often have Ezio jump in the opposite direction of where you wanted him to land. This was especially frustrating when I went after the Templar Lairs and Assassin Tombs as they're basically obstacle courses with a few combat fights here and there. In a couple instances I had Ezio jump opposite from the direction he needed to go, lose most of his health, and waste two minutes to get where he was initially. I just wish there was some better control of my character because I would of been perfectly fine with it. Assassins Creed II is the beginning of Ezio's story, and a continuation of Desmond's story. While a good majority probably didn't care for the present storyline, I enjoyed it. No other series has been able to relive the past and paint the present as well as the Assassins Creed games, as far as my experience goes. One more mention I need to address is the soundtrack for this game is brilliant. Jasper Kyd did a great job, and it's a shame he's no longer working on the Assassins Creed games. Hearing that music throughout my journey through the story and collecting all the feathers made Assassins Creed II more of a joy to be in. If you're not a fan of Assassins Creed, or if you're simply burnt out from the series (I know how that feels), I would wait for a price decrease. As good as the Assassins Creed games with Ezio were (the first two notably), paying over $30 for them is a bit much, as I said at the beginning of this post. The games run much better on the PS4 than the PS3, and include two short films for you to watch, which is certainly nice if you're into the series like me. If anything, Assassins Creed II is an easy platinum. Definitely worth your time even if it's technically last gen. God of War was definitely harder on that platform due to the much smaller screen and slow to bad framerate. However Challenges 8 and 10 in Challenge of the Gods can suck a big one. Challenge 10 was one of the most frustrating gaming experiences I ever had to endure, nearly broke and threw my PS3 controller at a window. Popular Post Walt the Dog
Platinum #320 Siegecraft Commander (EU) Stupidly easy to plat, especially this time since I'd done it once before and was able to do the plat optimally. Given that the entire list consists of doing random shit, it's honestly amazing that it even got a plat at all. These kinds of lists usually get PSN 100% lists instead. I wouldn't say it's truly easy or difficult, it's luck based. Sometimes I would get close to reaching the other platform, other times I would die in a couple seconds of starting when I'm doing exactly as I did before. The enemy AI is unpredictable and that's why so many people got frustrated with that challenge. Edited March 27, 2017 by Spaz
Popular Post Donkrieg1011
Plat #58: God of War: Ghost of Sparta Decided to play this before GoW2 because chronologically this game happens between 1 and 2. It is significantly easier than the first one even on hard mode. The combat is very satisfying to play, enemies can get stunlocked and killed very easily now thanks to the new abilities (best of the series imo). Since this is a PSP port, there are a couple of issues worth noting: short length and camera is zoomed in way too much during combat. Recommended because it is a solid action game and improves upon the previous installments in every way :D. 1 hour ago, Spaz said: I wouldn't say it's truly easy or difficult, it's luck based. Is the framerate on the Vita version that bad? Edited March 27, 2017 by Donkrieg1011
Popular Post Zeitgeist-9
What If? (Life Is Strange) Spoiler This game was good, but I think it missed a lot of possibilities about options, I think Chloë and Arcadia Bay would have had a chance to be saved, because Warren trusted easily on Max, so he could have help her, also she could have saved Chloë at the first rewind before she came into the bathroom, when Max saw what happened when she saved Will, I think she should give an advise to Chloë instead of reverting it all about that fragment, as same as when she did the same at the expo. Also, I think no one here really was bad (except the parents of Nathan), Chloë lost his dad and David wasn't prepared enough to be father, Victoria only was a rich girl who didn't get well with Max nor Kate, Kate was a innocent girl from a Christian family that can't support her when she had the trouble, Nathan was a rich guy whose parents didn't followed the doc's recomendations about his problem, who get along with Mr. Jefferson (as his ward) and when he tried to follow Jefferson's heritage, he accidentaly killed Rachel, Frank was only a guy whose father didn't get him to the good side and instead he was satanized, Rachel was a nice girl who died unfair, David was an ex-soldier who was deep into the investigation of Blackwell's "strange" cases, by that he put at risk his condition on his family, but when Joyce discussed with him, he could realized about his problem and tried to solve it to atone his fault, Mr. Jefferson was the one that was the culpit about what happened all the time and the one that make Nathan as dangerous as he was, but I think he wasn't like that before, maybe he had some psychologic problem and when he was like the Nathan's stepdad, both problems were mixed and provoked that caos. I think the next Season will be about Rachel and Chloë, because there's something... special, how can Chloë know that Max was on the bath (she didn't look at all the possible hideouts (she missed the last module for the cleaning stuff), also, how can she know the Max's situation at the school's parking?, also she somehow trained her, other fact is about Rachel, she was amazing, as Chloë said, also, why does the ghost deer was in many scenes?, and the butterfly, I think Rachel had the same ability as Max or some other like that and/or a kind of ability that makes her create that deer, maybe she advised Chloë before she dissapeared, or that ability will be transmited. Maybe Chloë always knew she was going to die, so she tried to found Max's help, and when it was solved, she will accept her destiny. Spoiler For the end, the last chapter was buggy, Max talked with Warren at the Whale's dinner (Or Whale's Diner as how appears at the advertinsing) without moving her mouth almost all the scene, in a hillarious way, also at the nightmare, when Max was hidden, when she came closer to Mr. Jefferson, she was teletransported to another place, also the game contains some spoilers, like some info, instead of being available choices after having some significant info, that already appeared before, like when Max was speaking with Warren, suddenly, she knew all the truth about the problem before she had talked with Warren, and the last scene when is sacrificed Chloë, how the hell does Kate, Warren, Victoria, Taylor, Dana, Juliet and some others knew Chloë if it was supposed that she only knew Justin and Rachel?, it's supposed that she knew some of them when she was rescued by Max like Warren, also Warren was a nice person with Max, he helped her, at least, Max should have hug him when she re-joined for last time with Chloë (before the nightmare), he give them a hand 3 times, so he was somehow a hero Edited March 27, 2017 by Zeitgeist-9
Lava_Yuki
Psycho Pass Mandatory Happiness (PS Vita) Time Taken: ~20 hours Difficulty: 2/10- no skill required. Enjoyability: 6/10- the story, characters and various endings were interesting, but the platinum was boring in that you had to replay scenes for different endings and it was just a visual novel, so no actual gameplay. The 2048 mini game was annoying, I got up until level 8-3 and by then I had enough points for the last trophy but it took a while, like a good three hours of tedious number matching. Recommend: Yes, for anyone looking for a quick and easy platinum with minimal stress. Great on the Vita while commuting or something. Advice: The walkthrough on this site is spot on, just remember to return to the menu every time before turning off the game to avoid missed scenes and tips and having to redo it all at the end.
Popular Post Superbuu3
#162 - Ratchet: Deadlocked aka Gladiator Hero of the Shadow SectorObtain all Ratchet: Gladiator™ trophies I had never played this at the time, but this was a pretty fun game. This isn't up to the standards of the other ratchet games as the weapons seem a bit too simplistic, which I guess was for multiplayer balance purposes. There is also a lot less humour in this one. On the other side of things gameplay wise it focuses more on combat with a few vehicle sections. Its nice that the story can be played in local coop too. Trophies are relatively easy for anyone who likes this game. I think this has the same weird save glitch from some of the other HD collection games where you need to collect 4 million bolts on one save file (aka if you back up save in slot 2 you have to get 4 million again), although getting 4 million bolts in or collecting 4 million bolts in one go is extremely easy in challenge mode.

Popular Post playdemos1
#94 - SMITE Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 9/10 (without boosting) Uffff.... Smite.... this one was complicated. I started this game with a friend just for fun, my friends gave up after 2 weeks or less, we used to play arena only... but you know, we were the classic noobs. We used the auto buys (items and skills) so you can imagine But I felt like I could enjoy the game, I started new game modes, and I discovered the fun in playing Smite as a team. Knowledge is everything here, you know how the gods are used, you know the enemies skills and ultimates, tricks and stuff... you will get really really better!! The game have more than 80 gods now so is a lot of stuff to deal with for newcomers, just time will get you to the perfection, I have the plat and I didn't even played with every existing god, some of them I just know their combos and stuff by being beaten before ahahah Now about the game itself, you have 80 gods, I think that in 2 or 3 months a new god is released. Updates keep coming, the game is growing very well! There's a lot of content as skins, voice packs, different items, avatars... that is common in this games. You have 7 regular modes I think, they're testing a new game mode called Adventures too, you have co-op against AI, Ranked and training blah blah... I am trying to "git gud" in Ranked btw... With this said there's a lot of variety in every single game, because the game is played as a team and teams are always different and that's what makes this game fun, even more in ranked where people ban gods and you can't select a god that is already selected even if it's from the other team! As a F2P game your limitations are not that bad, it's not pay to win at least. You can buy gods with favor (game currency), each god is like 5000 favor, once I got 60.000 favor I think, I purchased some of my fav gods, but you can rent them to master to level 1 and see if you like them first what's kind of cool, nowwww the skins are more expensive, 9500 favor or gems, GEEEEMSSSSS???? Yes, the premium currency, you can get like 50 gems a week by logging in only, you don't need to play a single game. I don't wasted a single € in the game, I was tempted but I didn't need it... I am tempted more only cause I would like to "donate" for this guys work. I think they deserve it. About the trophies, you will get a lot of them by just playing through the game, mastering 70 gods is your huge grind, I played mostly at double worshipers weekends The only trophies that are more difficult are the Penta Kill (I got in arena as Anhur very soon, don't ask me how, I have a video to upload to Youtube ), the Final Form that requires to kill 5 enemies with a single skill, this is the most difficult trophy in the game, I used Ullr axe that count as a skill even if it's more like a stance, but since if you die you will respawn with the bow instead... you can't die and playing with Ullr axe is not easy!!!!!! (Also have a video for this one) The others 2 are the golden greed and flaming speed but you can get that with a team, they are not that hard but you can't do it alone. Ok is enough, any doubt message me, if you need help message me... I will keep playing this game This plat explains why my plat was 2 months ago right?
Popular Post Jak
#109 Unravel The Red thread Collect all trophies This game is among one of those high quality 2D side-scrolling adventure games, up there with games like Playdead's INSIDE and Limbo and Housemarque's OutLand. You have the gorgeous, photo-realistic backgrounds (matches the theme/concept of the game), a lot of platforming, detailed animations, nicely designed stages, very good music, great sound, good physics, even a bit of difficulty, and good game-play. Cons: Controls, while fine overall, does have some stiffness issues that will be noticeable/impactful. Personal Rating/Enjoyment: 9/10 (Still prefer INSIDE, personally, though.) Difficulty: 4.5/10 Recommend?: [Yes]/No . Edited March 28, 2017 by Mar

Popular Post Terra
#57 - Star Wars Battlefront Difficulty: 5/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 Time To Platinum: 1 year, 4 months I'll be the first to admit this was the game that made me get a PS4 back in 2015. I wanted it so much I ordered the Limited Edition Darth Vader Console Bundle and I got it the day it released. I've been a huge Star Wars fan since birth and I grew up playing the original Battlefront and Battlefront II on my PS2 daily (Galactic Conquest!). I enjoy this game for a few reasons. It looks beautiful, even after a year the detail is incredible. The sound effects and music give it the Star Wars feel although I wish that they used the voice actors for the heroes instead of hiring new ones, it just feels out of place. The drawbacks? No Galactic Conquest, no campaign, battles can get repetitive at times (which is the reason I avoid team deathmatch now), and the survival missions. Good effort for those but completing those on Master was a chore of camping, waiting, and peeking. Because of that, Battlefront felt less like a Star Wars game and more like a Battlefield game at times which isn't surprising since EA put this out (R.I.P. Pandemic Studios). However, my nostalgia will keep me coming back to this game even after I reach rank 100 and 100% this. With a sequel in the works, I hope the developers take what worked here and put that with what worked in the original two games to make a Star Wars game that will stand the test of time.

Popular Post Abbey97
Platinum #58: Made Whole Obtain every trophy in the game Now I must admit that I actually didn't like this game at the start but as soon as I got further into Severed, I just couldn't put it down no matter what else needed doing, and I also found myself staying up quite late just to finish a little bit more. I liked everything about this from the swiping on the touchscreen to defeat enemies to finding and solving puzzles in the dungeons. I also loved the art style of Severed as its is amazingly done and looks lovely and colourful. If anyone hasn't played this yet, then get on it because it's free right now with PS Plus. You've done it again Sony, I hope you continue this streak in April.
