An Assassin's Creed MMO would be a horrible idea, right?

I'm sorry but am I the only one that thinks an Assassin's Creed MMO is a bad, bad, idea? I don't know many people that like AC's MP, and I personally despise it. Thoughts?

This title of this thread is driving me crazy. More so, because you wrote it correctly in your first sentence. A Assassins Creed MMO? Please, please fix. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

To answer your question, I hate the Multi-player on all the AC games that have it. They would have to drastically change the concept and execution (no pun intended) and even then, I doubt I would play. I just don't like MMO's.

Ubisoft with Assassin's Creed

I'm starting to agree. Black Flag was the best game in the series IMO, and Unity looks good, but still if they start to milk it with an MMO, I promise you I won't play it.

You mean how I wrote A instead of An? Yeah, that bothers me, and I noticed it too, but I can't change the titles of threads unfortunately. Only a mod can.

Yes you can. Go to the first post in the thread and click Edit. In the Edit window next to the Save button is Use Full Editor. Use that to change the title.

Also an Assassin's Creed MMO is a bad idea. While we're at it, why not go full retard and just have Assassin's Creed: Assassins...In Space!

I can imagine plenty of possibilities.

Unity is rumored to have various RPG elements, like a lockpicking skill as seen in the Gamescon demo.

Imagine there's plenty of variety based on stealth, parkour, scouting (eagle vision), combat, bombmaking (which is rumored to be brought back) , ...

However it's not clear how deeply Unity will show RPG elements.

I can imagine a few different classes and gameplay features worth my while.

You could have Berserkers, Ghosts, Thieves, Bombers, Parkour-experts, ...

The factions are quite obvious templars and assassins, but they could introduce many more such as the men of fortune / pirates which are basically a neutral faction.

There could be past gameplay and present gameplay possible.

Imagine playing in NYC as a hooded assassins while you're chased by a templar with a riffle.

Imagine this possibility of this mission I just made up:

Attacking faction: Assassins

Defending faction: Templars

You have to infiltrate a fortress and kill templar enemy..

Templars are defending their fortress from the inside and the outside.

As the defending faction: templars have a few NPC assisting them. These NPC's could be controlled by the target (which is a person).

As the attacking faction there are many peasants and other civilians aiding to your cause to overthrown their vile master because of hunger and pverty.

This would be similiar to the tower defense gameplay from Revelations.

One of your assassin buddies has a master lockpicking skill, but you must get him there safely.

So you have to escort him there without him dying.

So you have scouts up ahead clearing the way, you have berserkers keeping close, ...

The lockpickmaster opens the gate while others defend the lockpick or trying to kill him (depending on faction)

After opening the gate, the fight continues in the courtyard

The Ghost-class charachter dissapear to find the target, as they are the only ones with an advanced eagle vision to find him.

Templars have prepared traps with their bombing skills to ensure you can't progress in the fortress, mainly explosions

However the assassins have brought their own bombs to assist, mainly smokebombs.

A Ghost with eagle vision locates the target.

The target ( a player) is fleeing, time to catch them before he escapes

But who will catch the target?

The berserkers are too slow to run after him (armor) so they stay and fight

The Ghosts or a specialised parkour expert run after him.

Certain templars are trying to cover his escape by roof patrols for example.

Who was faster: the templarmaster who's trying to escape or the assassins fast running on rooftops waiting for an air assassination.

Imagine this in a vibrant world where you could really expand your brotherhood/order and rise to the position of grandmaster within.

Imagine 16 versus 16 people battling, with the involved of NPC's

stuff

Damn, that sounds great on paper a web page. I kinda wish the Assassin's Creed multiplayer had sword fights between other players but I'm fine with it being all about stealth and stalking your enemies. As for Assassin's Creed being an MMO, I guess what they have to do is put in an instance dungeon kind of thing or you got people spawn killing templars. But I really can't see Assassin's Creed being an MMO.
