Alien: Isolation Angry Review

For the most part I agree with what he says. Despite not having played the game myself, I've still watched a considerable amount of gameplay on it, as well as looking into its mechanics, and reading up on what people have to say.

I'm still on the fence about the saving system. On one hand yes, it can increase the tension as you're desperately trying to find a save station before the Alien, or some other threat kills you. However, on the other hand it could lead to lots of frustration as you're forced to repeat sections over, and over, and over, which would destroy the tension, and potentially cause these moments to lose their meaning. I'm not sure about the frequency of Working Joes being a bit too much, as I haven't played the game myself, so I can't really comment on that. As for the length, I can't say whether or not that drags it out for longer than it needs to be, but I will say that I do tend to enjoy games with a bit more length, so it might not be as much of an issue for me.
