Nihiris-
Nah that's nothing new lol It froze on me a couple of times on start up, or like Buz said, it would randomly send me back to the XMB. Actually it would send me back to the XMB more times than actually freezing. Edited October 24, 2014 by Death_Ninja

PSNP is crap i left
I have this exact problem too. Yesterday i couldn't enter the PSN store and the PS3 would just randomly freeze and crash. I think it's better to just use the Web Store as some people have said here. EDIT: Oh, and it also sends me back to the XMB Menu most of the time. Edited October 24, 2014 by OblivionMTM

Mog
I'd stop trying to get in the store if i were you, maybe there is something going on behind the scenes. If you really want to check something out then use the PC store ~> https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/

Lady Lilith
oh but if you wanna download stuff aren't you redirected to the playstation store? It's been far too long since I've used my PS3 to download anything that way, but I think it opens up its own menu, rather than the store's. I don't recall it giving you the whole store logo thing. If I'm wrong, I apologize, like I said, it's been a while.

DarkPirate2007
You could always just go to the website and download games there. Just a suggestion. Edited October 25, 2014 by DarkPirate2007
Annare_
I haven't been able to enter the Store for 2-3 weeks now, keeps saying it's under maintenance. I'm forced to do all my purchases through the website now...
The Chosen Undead
Yeah, I hd the redirect issue for a couple weeks back in September. The store is fine now, but now my console reboots itself about 1/3 to 1/2 of the time when I start a game.
