Most embarrassing Platinum

Jak II.

I found the combat exceedingly clunky and infuriating. There was no way to efficiently drive through the city without crashing into other cars constantly or into guards pissing them off. This is especially annoying when every other mission is some sort of escort mission. I never played it growing up so I had no nostalgia going into it and I raged quite a few times at the controls. I'm embarrassed because once I  found out about the debug menu I bought a second PS3 controller just so I could just spawn in all the precursor orbs that you have to do extra challenges for. I wanted to spend as little time in that game as possible and I have no pride in that platinum.

Nubla or Orc Slayer.

Those games were worse than bad. I regret spending less than 7$ on both of them. Charging people money to play those "games" is a joke. I wish I never played them and its super embarrassing to have helped normalize the trend on shitty 3$ games that have an extremely easy plat.

I can't believe I read most of this, But from what I've gathered is old embarrassing games is nowhere near 2021s embarrassing games

anyway even though a couple buddies and I grabbed some pints and meme'd our way through it (Road bustle) is my most embarrassing

That game is poop from a butt.

It would be embarrassing to admit you didn't use the orb glitch - any time spent playing that game is time wasted, and anything you can do to shorten it and get it out of your life should not be a source of embarrassment - it should be a point of pride! ?

I consider an embarrassing platinum one where the game, itself, is horrendous. If a platinum is easy but fun, who cares? And if it's so quick you barely played it, why not?

On that note, without a doubt, it has to be Days Gone. Genuinely one of the worst games I've ever played; a truly dreadful experience that made me resent Sony Bend forever. This game has so many problems from a mechanical, systems and story standpoint that it seriously made me question whether the developers  should be working in games entertainment. The worst part is that its fanbase was so rabid that they tricked me into trying it out against my better judgment when I saw all the poor (and IMO, generous) reviews. If it had ended halfway where it did I would have said it was just above average and worth playing, but all the minor irritations over a 25 hour period becomes death by a thousand cuts over 45 to 50.

The ONLY reason why I platinumed it was because by the time i realised I hated the game I had invested so much of my time that to drop it would mean it was truly all for nothing. It's also one of those games where you'll have most of the trophies by the end of the campaign alone making the cleanup short enough to stomach 3 or 4 more hours in its world, plus the endgame hordes were OK.  I had to laugh at the 100% requirement which requires completing the trash campaign game again on new game plus. Wonderful example of why I'm not a slave to 100% completion - just the thought of putting myself through that poorly paced, cringe-worthy story again is triggering enough.

I'm not really making a meaningful contribution to this forum game by saying what I'm about to say but I had to have a look through my list and I honestly can't think of a single Platinum trophy I'm embarrassed about. I've never played a single game just for a Platinum trophy, the enjoyment of playing a game for the fun of it is always in the forefront for me so I generally don't play games I know I will dislike and then go for the Platinum after the fact.

EDIT: I had to have a rethink about the word embarrassing here. I wouldn't say I'm embarrassed to have another sub 1% Platinum here ? but it is a game I don't like very much and one that I just done recently so it's fresh in my memory.

Battle Fantasia: I love fighting games and Arc System Works as a developer. This was one of the worst fighting games I ever played. The only enjoyment I got was doing the perceived hardest trophy in the game for parrying every hit of Deathbringer's Super Special Move and ending the round with a perfect on the hardest difficulty. 6 hours of pure joy from my standpoint undermined by 35 hours of pretty crappy gameplay.

Why be embarrassed? It's your trophy list - who cares what someone else thinks about it?

If someone wants to skip past my Vanquish (x2), Sekiro, MLB10, Nex Machina, Pac Man CE2, CoD W@W, etc platinums and laugh about My Name is Mayo,
