Finding all the cars tips

I have been trying to collect all 93 cars. Im up to about 63 at this point. What is the best idea to find the cars you need? Do you think the best way is to check the parked cars, or the ones driving? Can you stay in one area or should you drive around different parts of the map? Is there a certain way to make the searching easier?

Also you can view the cars you already have/missing from the start menu (if you didn't know already). This was my first platinum, love L.A. Noire!

Yeah I used a guide like Redgrave did, if you can't find the specific car you're looking for in the area just go for a drive then come back to it after a few minutes and it might refresh a bit.

I actually didn't know this. I heard you can see your cars you collected but never knew how. Thanks man!
