If They Made It?

The true meaning of milking a franchise is right there.

There can sometimes be some fun to had in trying some different formulas with a successful franchise. Whether good or bad, at least it'd be something different than what we're already getting.

Besides, like Mayus said, Ezio was playable in Soul Calibur V so It wouldn't be entirely out of the ordinary.

I wouldn't get this if it were real for several reasons;

  • Assassin's Creed wouldn't make sense as a fighting game to me
  • Western developers have had a poor track record with fighting games (I think the only successful fighting game from a western dev is Mortal Kombat)
  • It reeks of milking a franchise (or beating a dead horse, whichever term you prefer)
  • Those locked characters (mainly Rayman)

EDIT: I just had someone point this out to me, but the left-most locked character is a dead ringer for Gabriel Belmont from Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 1 & 2, which is a Konami franchise, not a Ubisoft franchise, so it's pretty safe to say this isn't happening if that is Gabriel.
