Lovejinder_LJ
There’s been a smattering of Grand Theft Auto V news overnight, including confirmation that story-based DLC for the game is still in the works and the release of a free Christmas gift for GTA Online. Let’s start with the story DLC. Speaking to Jack Thriller, Franklin actor Shawn Fonteno said that one of his current projects is working on DLC for GTA V “and that’s first on my list to finish that up”. Fonteno didn’t share any further info, but it’s at least nice to know that story DLC is still in the works. An expansion to the adventures of Franklin, Michael and Trevor was announced last year as was intended to launch in 2014, but it would seem that Rockstar has been prioritising the development of Heists for GTA Online. It's something the developer admits it has struggled with. As an apology to patient (and impatient) fans, Rockstar has released a free Christmas update that introduces new vehicles and weapons, the ability to own three homes and… a christmas tree. The update is pretty hefty, weighing in at 1.23GB and is available now. There’s a homing rocket launcher, proximity mines, elf masks, festive scarves and pyjamas, hats and tats, a couple of race cars and old school looking trucks. There’s loads, actually, and in the absence of official patch notes, the list is still growing. Meanwhile, Rockstar has moved to reassure that it will continue to support the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of GTA V following the release of Heists. The developer said that it has no plans to ditch older systems, but did admit that there will come a time when support no longer remains possible, due to technical restrictions. “Players on PS3 and Xbox 360 can look forward to Online Heists and other updates that are in the works coming soon,” said Rockstar in a Q&A. “We are incredibly thankful to our original generation of GTAV and GTA Online players on those systems and wish to continue providing content to them for as long as we can. “Of course, at some point in the future, there may be a point where we reach the limits for the previous generation of consoles as there may be some updates that are only technically possible on the new hardware – but we do hope to continue delivering as many updates as we can for all four consoles for as long as possible.” Source: Playstationtrophies.org I'm so excited Edited December 18, 2014 by Lovejinder_LJ
