Telltale and Mojang Announce Minecraft: Story Mode

i'm not into this minecraft stuff and maybe thats because i rather want to hear something about a walking dead season 3 release

Everything Telltale does these days seems to turn out pretty great. I loved the Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us. Never played any other Telltale game though. 

 

If done right, i can see this being awesome. The Minecraft universe has so much to offer.

setting wise, i can see the whole thing being a survival/quest type of theme

I haven't played any games of theirs (don't plan on doing so either, its just not something that intrests me) but I know this is a horrible idea. Some games you just can't have a crossover, or a change in style, or whatever this abomination is.my friend and I were listing horrible crossovers two weeks ago:

-Dead Warriors (a mix between Dead Space and Dynasty Warriors)

-Falrule (a mix between fallout 3 and LoZ)

-Biocart (a mix between bioshock and Mariocart_

-LittleVegas6 (Raindow Six Vegas 2 and Littlebigplanet)

Two awesome things just can't mix.

Does Minecraft even NEED a story? It's a game where you dig and fight skeletons and zombies. If they can make a story out of this i would be very much surprised.

When TFTB was announced I was sceptical, I didn't like borderlands' universe, but when it released I thought it was the best pilot episode for a telltale game yet. While I shouldnt judge this without even seeing the trailer, I really hope it doesn't try to appeal to 12 year olds that play minecraft, or have cringeworthy humour (It's gonna have humour in it right?). I just don't see how it will work in a game with no lore, no world, no characters, no nothing. If telltale wants to make something on a blank slate, it should be an original game. 

 

 

Edit: Also I'm still mad at Telltale for hyping this up for a big announcement, where's Wolf Season 2?

All this thread has done is make me want to play Minecraft and eat weird combinations of pizza... thanks for making me fat guys..
